Mob Mentality

Scene from London riots by “youths”

London burns.  Thank goodness it can’t happen here.  Or can it?

Disturbing riots in London are variously attributed to disaffected “youths”; to anger over the shooting of a gangbanger by a policeman; to “children” engaging in hooliganism because their parents are uninvolved; to hooded political dissenters, stirred up by unions and activist groups in protest of UK anti-austerity actions; or to “flash mobs” organized via social media by thugs who want only to take things they can’t afford to buy.

Attorney General Holder Should Resign!

Attorney General Eric Holder

Holder Called to Resign –  Traitors, Spies, Terrorists Exposed

Kincaid Conference:  Traitors, Spies and Terrorists Exposed;  Eric Holder Resign NOW!

Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival sponsored another incredible forum, June 28, 2011, at the National Press Club. The forum discussed communists, terrorists and Cuban agents of influence working within our borders, and demanded the removal of Attorney General Eric Holder.   Kincaid’s panel fell short of calling Holder an outright traitor, but conference attendees would have a difficult time concluding otherwise, given the wealth of detail presented on Holder’s assistance to convicted terrorists both within our jails and in other countries beyond the reach of U.S. law enforcement.

A Preemptive Strike by Sunstein? Open Thread.

© Miri WTPOTUS 2011

A scholarly paper published January 15, 2008, by Cass R. Sunstein and Adrian Vermeule, both of Harvard Law School, addresses “conspiracy theories” and what governments can do about them.  One might be forgiven for wondering why “governments” should think that they ought to do anything about them. Or perhaps I should say, why someone who now works in OUR government thinks the government should do anything about what free people think.  This is, after all, the United States of America, founded upon the idea of freedom of speech, and by implication, of thoughts and beliefs, no matter how esoteric or wild. However, Sunstein and his co-author write,

Those who subscribe to conspiracy theories may create serious risks, including risks of violence, and the existence of such theories raises significant challenges for policy and law.

Those Pesky Birth Announcements and Open Thread

By Miri

BREAKING NEWS: Read carefully butterdezillion’s latest post, addressed to Bill O’Reilly. She found very interesting FACTS about the provenance of all versions of the supposed “contemporaneous” birth announcments posted on the Web. (Note to Mr. Leonard (I’m a racist toady) Pitts Jr.: we know the definition of the word contemporaneous, because we’ve used it in conjunction–in quotes, of course–with those announcements for nearly 2 years. So We the People don’t need a racist toady like you to school us on the English language. Click that link to his latest column if you don’t understand my reference.) Continue reading

Whom Are We Arming? And Why?

Two days ago, President Barack Hussein Obama II stood in front of the American people and said:

Of course, there is no question that Libya – and the world – will be better off with Gaddafi out of power. I, along with many other world leaders, have embraced that goal, and will actively pursue it through non-military means. But broadening our military mission to include regime change would be a mistake.

The task that I assigned our forces – to protect the Libyan people from immediate danger, and to establish a No Fly Zone – carries with it a UN mandate and international support. It is also what the Libyan opposition asked us to do.  If we tried to overthrow Gaddafi by force, our coalition would splinter. We would likely have to put U.S. troops on the ground, or risk killing many civilians from the air. The dangers faced by our men and women in uniform would be far greater. So would the costs, and our share of the responsibility for what comes next.

Less than 24 hours later, Obama’s UN ambassador, Susan Rice, “left the door open to tactics like arming the rebel fighters.”

Obama: I Am Opposed to a Dumb War

Yesterday, I ran across a speech that Barack Obama made to an anti-war rally in Chicago on October 2, 2002.  Here is the speech in its entirety for the purpose of comparison to what he will say tonight, as a public service, when he tries to explain to the American people why he went to war in Libya (with my emphasis and some comments added):

Good afternoon. Let me begin by saying that although this has been billed as an anti-war rally, I stand before you as someone who is not opposed to war in all circumstances.

The Civil War was one of the bloodiest in history, and yet it was only through the crucible of the sword, the sacrifice of multitudes, that we could begin to perfect this union, and drive the scourge of slavery from our soil. I don’t oppose all wars. Continue reading

The Egypt Crisis in a Global Context: A Special Report

By George Friedman, Stratfor

It is not at all clear what will happen in the Egyptian revolution. It is not a surprise that this is happening. Mohamed Hosni Mubarak has been president for more than a quarter of a century, ever since the assassination of Anwar Sadat. He is old and has been ill. No one expected him to live much longer, and his apparent plan, which was that he would be replaced by his son Gamal, was not going to happen even though it was a possibility a year ago. There was no one, save his closest business associates, who wanted to see Mubarak’s succession plans happen. As his father weakened, Gamal’s succession became even less likely. Mubarak’s failure to design a credible succession plan guaranteed instability on his death. Since everyone knew that there would be instability on his death, there were obviously those who saw little advantage to acting before he died. Who these people were and what they wanted is the issue.

What Exactly Is “Moral Imagination”?

By Miri

We’re all by now too familiar with the wonderful speech that Barry gave at the Tucson 2012 Campaign Rally Memorial Service at a stadium at the University of Arizona, complete with the Jumbotron flashing “applause signs“, bizarre “memorial t-shirts” sporting a campaign motto, “Together We Thrive”, which was previously on an Obama website, circa 2008, and also on “anti-racism” t-shirts for sale at this siteContinue reading

Napolitano Will Close The Porous Border (Open Thread)

by Miri

It will come as quite a surprise to readers that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is sending more “experts to train … police and customs officials to better manage the country’s porous border crossings …” because such training is “critical.”  Has Ms. Napolitano suddenly seen the error of this administration’s approach to managing the US/Mexico border?  Has she suddenly realized how “critical” the situation is?  How important it is for our national security to close our porous border?  Au contraire, Mon Ami! Muslim Goals to Infiltrate and Destroy the U.S.

©2010 Bridgette WTPOTUS

” The Muslim Brotherhood’s Goals “

Much like the “Communist Goals for U.S.A. Takeover” that were written  January 10, 1963,  the Muslim Brotherhood also developed their own strategic goals or Master Plan in 1991 for their cultural invasion of the United States and their intention to turn the U.S.  into a Muslim nation.

After  reading the Communist Goals and then these developed by the Muslim Brotherhood, we notice their many similarities.    The reason for that is explained in the 17th Muslim Project tactic,  “Instituting alliances with Western “progressive” organizations that share similar goals.” The Progressive’s support of the Muslims fits right into this sequence, as does their support of Palestine’s Hamas regime over Israel’s democratic nation.
