The New Iron Curtain

Today is the 75th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill’s Iron Curtain Speech, otherwise known as “The Sinews of Peace”, in which Churchill warned about the dangers of communism.

Delivered on March 5, 1946, in Fulton, MO, Churchill touched upon issues that remain pertinent today, as a new Iron Curtain has descended across the United States Capitol, circling the entire complex, separating Congress (our so-called representatives) from We the People.

What was once open and free to all, a symbol of our great Republic, a shining city on a hill, is now a fortress, militarized against the Republic’s own citizens, manned by thousands of uniformed and armed  National Guard troops.

Annoying Progressives

Here’s something I read today that struck a note and which seems altogether necessary to share with you all. Hopefully the author, Kurt Schlicter, will not mind. Schlicter advises us to “Annoy Liberals By Refusing To Care About Their Stupid Fake Outrages.” I couldn’t agree more.

The War on White Males

After the past few weeks, who doesn’t have PTSD? The Kavanaugh confirmation process has left everyone in the country stressed, whether they were for Kavanaugh or against him. At least those of us who support the rule of law, the Constitution, and our Republic have the satisfaction of knowing that justice has prevailed (as the Justice has prevailed).

Stormy’s Lawyer and Hillary’s Mouth

Several interesting items appeared in the news, recently. One national, the other local, but touching upon a national story.

The first item comes from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The story provides local interest attached to the saga of Stormy Daniels, the woman who allegedly had an “intimate relationship” with now-President Donald J. Trump over a decade ago. Daniels entered into a “hush agreement” that she wants to go back on, now offering to return the $130,000 she took to keep quiet (among other things). She’s suing to have the agreement declared void. Her lawyer was the subject of a recent lifestyles column.

It’s only Trump who’s not allowed to state the obvious: The game is rigged.

Media Bias, Global Elites, and the Rise of Donald Trump

So this morning I read the earth-shaking “news” that Donald Trump “now” says he was being “sarcastic” when he said that Obama founded ISIS. (Something he’s said many times before, going as far back as January 2016, but suddenly, when Hillary Clinton needs a distraction, Trump’s statement is a newly debuted “attack-line.”)

In an obviously coordinated, Journolist-type meme that’s everywhere, literally (in the true sense of the word) everywhere, the media claim that Trump is reversing himself, blaming others (the media) and walking back the misstep he made when he said falsely that Obama founded ISIS.

Obamacare: Take Your Medicine, and Like It! (Open Thread)

Tomorrow the Obamacare exchanges are supposed to open for business.  Whether they will function or not is yet to be seen.  Word is that the software has glitches (see here, also) and is vulnerable to determined hackers and identity thieves.  All the crack software developers are probably working for Barack Obama’s spying NSA, so it’s likely that software development for Obamacare was farmed out to well-connected progressive friends of Obama’s–like ACORN community organizers, “minority” contractors, and former hackers who quickly created startups with a little help from the taxpayers via the Stimulus.

Like this president, prior experience and a record of accomplishments not required.

Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop (Open Thread)

We the People are waiting for the other shoe to drop. When will the Cold Case Posse release that “irrefutable” evidence that proves that Obama’s long-form birth certificate, as posted on the White House blog, is forged?

When will Glenn Beck explain what it is that he says will bring down the “power structure” and reverberate throughout Washington DC and beyond? We’re waiting to be “rocked” (as if we haven’t been rocked over the past 5 years).

That’s the face of Kermit Gosnell, a Pennsylvania abortionist who is currently on trial for murder.  It’s also the face of evil.  Don’t know his name?  Not familiar with that face?  Join the club. You’re far from alone, because his is a story that the mainstream media does not want to tell.  Gosnell is on trial, has been on trial for nearly a month, and yet you wouldn’t know it if you got your news only from the mainstream media.

Finally, people in the spotlight are using labels for Obama and his ilk’s ideology that are correct.  Allen West stated he believed that “80 House democrats are communists,”  (members of the Black Caucus), and he also said, “Obama is a “Marxist, socialist, rigid ideologue”.    Now we have  the CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce calling Obama’s actions, borderline communist.
