The elites of the world, who style themselves our betters and thus believe themselves to be born to rule the hoi polloi, are meeting (aka conspiring) in Davos, Switzerland. Make no mistake, they consider themselves to be masters of the future, in other words, masters of us all.

So I found a few amusing things today that may, for a while, take your mind off the horrors of the third Obama administration.

Somebody dug up an interesting video of Leonard Nimoy warning in the ’70s about the looming ice age. We were all going to freeze to death because a global freeze was imminent. Noted climate scientists said so!

Of course, that was before we were all going to burn to death due to global warming.  The video can be found here.

A Carbon-Free Atmosphere?

Joe Biden recently convened a global summit on the “existential threat” of climate change. Despite that the ecosystem–plants, animals, and humans–have been adapting to the ever-changing climate since life began on this planet, nevertheless global leaders, who believe they know best, convened to try to stop climate change.

Collectivist Nationalism

Quite the kerfuffle surrounding Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” proposal. This link shows her pie-in-the-sky plan, as published by the representative herself, on her very own government website. The link came from an Internet archive because the plan was pulled from the government website not long after it was published. The very same plan, in FAQ form, was transmitted directly to media outlets, including NPR, by the representative’s staff.

Green Scooters and Bikes?

Cities across the country (indeed, across the globe) have introduced dockless electric scooters and bikes in an effort to be environmentally greener. These alternative modes of transportation within urban areas are supposed to help “cities meet their goals of reducing carbon emissions and cutting car traffic.”

Some Real News to Counter Fake News

A few real news stories to take your mind off the fake news. These stories are not fiction; no names have been changed to protect anyone, and no editing of unseemly words was done to protect your sensibilities. Sorry.

First up, analysis of an eye-opening (and orifice opening) event at a vegan restaurant in Memphis, TN.

Recently a diner at the restaurant wrote an online review that was, shall we say, less than appetizing. According to the diner

During my visit, a bare butt naked baby was running around, stood up on a table with its black, they’re-so-dirty feet, and bent over to show me its butthole. I wish I was exaggerating. This is like, while I’m eating, and it’s the owner’s kids.

Media Bias, Global Elites, and the Rise of Donald Trump

So this morning I read the earth-shaking “news” that Donald Trump “now” says he was being “sarcastic” when he said that Obama founded ISIS. (Something he’s said many times before, going as far back as January 2016, but suddenly, when Hillary Clinton needs a distraction, Trump’s statement is a newly debuted “attack-line.”)

In an obviously coordinated, Journolist-type meme that’s everywhere, literally (in the true sense of the word) everywhere, the media claim that Trump is reversing himself, blaming others (the media) and walking back the misstep he made when he said falsely that Obama founded ISIS.

Obama Says “Climate Change” Will Destroy (Not Create) National Parks

In order to justify taking his entire family on a vacation out west on the taxpayers’ dime, Barack Obama recently made a speech about “climate change” while at Yosemite National Park.
