Senate Agreement to Bolster Border Security [Note: "Bolster" is not the same as "SECURE" or "CLOSE".  Nor is "strengthen."]

An agreement to strengthen border security is expected to be announced today around 11:00 AM with broader support, including from the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” senators who drafted the original legislation.

ABC News has confirmed that the Senate “Gang of Eight” along with other senators have reached an agreement to strengthen border security provisions in their bill that they hope will deliver the 70 crucial votes needed for the measure. Continue reading

© Miri WTPOTUS November 27, 2012

In light of the events in Benghazi and the spotlight now shining upon UN Ambassador Susan Rice, it behooves us to take a closer look at this woman, who apparently has been groomed for decades for positions of power in Washington DC.

Is the Bulgarian government now justified to send drones to attack U.S. citizens (and non-citizens) in Michigan?  Thank goodness we won’t find out, because they don’t have drones. Yet. Continue reading

Passportgate – A History

© Miri WTPOTUS March 29, 2012

This month marks the fourth anniversary of what author Jack Cashill called

one of the great underreported stories of the 2008 campaign: the multiple breaches of the presidential candidates’ passport records in March of that year.

This will be a comprehensive overview of the story, so it is long and for that I apologize.  Read it or save it for future reference.  The revelations from Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse are topical.  The vettings of Barack Obama by Breitbart’s successors are topical.  As the campaign revs up, the blogosphere and many conservative news websites are revisiting stories from 2008.   The security breach of the State Department passport files, in 2008, was among the very first signs of the scrubbing of any documentary evidence that might disprove what Obama wants Americans to believe about him. As hard as it may be for us to believe, there remain Americans who know little about these issues.  And so, we reprise … Continue reading

Hawaii official denounces ‘ludicrous’ birther claims.

Comments follow statements by Donald Trump questioning legitimacy of president’s birth record.
By Michael Isikoff,   National investigative correspondent
NBC : April 9,   Updated 49 minutes ago

The Hawaiian state health official who personally reviewed Barack Obama’s original birth certificate  has affirmed again that the document is “real” and denounced ” conspiracy theorists in the so-called “birther” movement for continuing to spread bogus claims about the issue.

“It’s kind of ludicrous at this point,” Dr. Chiyome Fukino, the former director of Hawaii’s Department of Health, said in a rare telephone interview with NBC.   Fukino, sounding both exasperated and amused, spoke to a reporter in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s statements on the NBC Today show last week questioning whether Obama has a legitimate birth certificate.

Birthers R Crazy or R They?

An article by John Ellis, “Birther Issue Goes Mainstream” reveals that “journalists” today must include the word birther in their copy to generate internet hits to their articles. They are walking a tightrope in how they use the term because they don’t want to alienate their JournOlistic comrades,

all of whom in New York-Washington media circles are resolute in their belief that “birthers” are insane!

Who Are We Arming? And Why?

Two days ago, President Barack Hussein Obama II stood in front of the American people and said:

Of course, there is no question that Libya – and the world – will be better off with Gaddafi out of power. I, along with many other world leaders, have embraced that goal, and will actively pursue it through non-military means. But broadening our military mission to include regime change would be a mistake.

The task that I assigned our forces – to protect the Libyan people from immediate danger, and to establish a No Fly Zone – carries with it a UN mandate and international support. It is also what the Libyan opposition asked us to do.  If we tried to overthrow Gaddafi by force, our coalition would splinter. We would likely have to put U.S. troops on the ground, or risk killing many civilians from the air. The dangers faced by our men and women in uniform would be far greater. So would the costs, and our share of the responsibility for what comes next.

Less than 24 hours later, Obama’s UN ambassador, Susan Rice, “left the door open to tactics like arming the rebel fighters.”

Natural Born Citizen Discussions in the Late 1800′s

“Looking Back at History”

Natural Born Citizen Discussions in the Late 1800′s

Over 2 1/2 years ago when the subject of Obama’s eligibility or his ineligibility was brought to the forefront during the election cycle in 2008,  I was amazed that he would qualify.   I remembered what I was taught in civics classes in high school;  the President and Vice President must be natural born citizens. Those are the only two jobs in the United States that have the requirement that those persons must be natural born citizens.   According to the United States Constitution,  Article II, Section 1, Clause 5, there are only three  requirements that a person must meet to be eligible  for the office of  president:

  1. Be a “Natural Born Citizen of the United States”
  2. Be at least thirty-five years old;
  3. Have been a permanent resident in the United States for at least fourteen years.

To satisfy my recollection and to dispute what the Left was touting as the requirements by using the 14th amendment as Obama’s qualifier,  and Black’s Law Dictionary’s limited definition of natural born citizen, I researched newspaper sources from the late 1800′s.   Famous constitutionalists  and scholars of their time answer questions that we have had about both  Obama’s  and John McCain’s eligibility to run as presidential candidates.   The examples of certain situations about others can be applied to these two men who were nominated by their respective parties in 2008.
