Many in the media are calling Michelle Obama’s trip to Spain “Tone Deaf”, but consider how Michelle was Pitch-Perfect when it comes to her intended audience, and meeting the following two objectives:
1) A distraction from Barack’s trip to Chicago.
2) An endorsement of the Cordoba Initiative.
We may not like either one of those objectives, but she accomplished them.

First Lady Michelle Obama’s latest overseas jaunt is getting all the headlines. But President Obama’s money-grubbing junket to Chicago may cost taxpayers far more in the long run.
Who else did Barack Obama meet with in Chicago? Inquiring minds want to know…
It’s interesting that while Barack Obama may or may not have met with a “person of interest” in the Blago trial, Michelle Obama did in Spain! More on that further below.
Second: Michelle’s travels as an endorsement of the Cordoba Initiative.
More and more people are starting to stand up to the Ground Zero mosque, which even some courageous, truth-telling Muslims admit:

The “Cordoba Initiative”, whose stated mission is (or was, until they scrubbed it! See update below)

“Eight hundred years ago” was 1210. What were things like in Cordoba in 1210? It was part of the Almohad Dynasty, a Muslim dynasty which conquered all of northern Africa as far as Libya, together with Al-Andalus (Moorish Iberia, now southern Spain and Portugal).
The Cordoba Initiative’s stated mission is “to achieve a tipping point in Muslim-West relations within the next decade, bringing back” the conditions of Cordoba during the period of Muslim domination, when they “coexisted” with Christians and Jews who lived in a condition of Dhimmitude.
On the Cordoba Initiative’s “About Muslim-West Engagement” page, they state:
Despite what many think, Islam and the West have a long history of coexistence and harmony. For nearly 800 years, the city of Cordoba in Spain endured as a shining example of tolerance among the three monotheistic religions. Muslim, Christian and Jew cohabited in prosperity during a period known for its outstanding literary and scientific productivity.
Also misunderstood is the nature of religious warfare. Many so-called religious conflicts instead result from wealth inequality, tribalism, politics, or other non-religious issues. Conflicts such as these develop a religious appearance only when extremists hijack religious terminology to justify violent acts.
“For nearly 800 years” refers to the period 711–1492, when Muslims invaded and occupied the Iberian peninsula and called the occupied land “Al-Andalus“.
(There’s a reason for the name of the Spanish Reconquista… it was the re-conquest of lands that had been conquered by the Muslims.)
“Many so-called religious conflicts instead result from wealth inequality”. For those with eyes to see, this is a Socialist/Communist statement, that blames the 9/11 attack on capitalism and “wealth inequality”. I believe the World Trade Centers were targeted in both 1993 and 2001 because they were arguably the most globally recognized symbol of U.S. Capitalism. Supposedly, if we “spread the wealth around”, then the “so-called religious conflicts” wouldn’t happen. That is absurd. ‘There Is No Islam Without Jihad’. And the connections between Jihadists and Marxists are clear to those with eyes to see:

Michelle Obama’s trip to Spain may have been “Tone Deaf” to non-Muslim Americans, but it was Pitch-Perfect to many (if not most) Muslims… it was an extremely symbolic trip to areas of former (and intended future) Muslim conquest.
Michelle Obama publicly went to both Marbella (a la the Saudi King) and the Alhambra in Grenada.
BOTH of these are very significant to Muslims. Especially when it comes to the topic of Muslim vs. Christian conflict and conquest.
Michelle’s trip was an endorsement of the Cordoba Initiative. And to that audience, her trip was Pitch-Perfect.
Now, returning to something I touched on above:

This does not appear to have been reported in the American media, but the Spanish media reported (translated):
First Lady also could meet with another American politician, which these days is hosted on a private house in Marbella: Jesse Louis Jackson Jr., D-member House of representatives from U.S., son of activist and former presidential candidate Jesse Jackson and also national coordinator of Barack Obama presidential campaign.
Several Arab Royal houses also spend their summers in Marbella for years. Thus, there will be an encounter between Michelle Obama and Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Riyadh and brother of the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia; … another meeting of the first lady with … son of the Interior Minister of Qatar and member of the Royal family Qatari, Abdullah Al-Thani.
Again, to her intended audience, her trip was Pitch-Perfect. Michelle is not “Tone Deaf” to them.
Rather, it is many Americans who are “Tone Deaf” to past, present, and future Muslim conquest and subjugation of Christians and Jews.

For hundreds of years during the middle ages, Cordoba was the capital of Muslim Spain. What would someone say if they wanted to publicly say that they intend to make the United States the 58th member state of the OIC, but do it in a “coded” manner, such that Muslims “in the know” would get the message, but most Dhimmis would not?

So, while Muslims want to re-establish the Caliphate in the next 5 years, the U.S. Commander in Chief is someone who repeated the Islamic confession of faith in Arabic and is now significantly cutting our military to pre-WWII levels.

Four armies on alert, Khamenei takes charge of Lebanese crisis

Tehran threw all its weight behind Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah ahead of his contentious speech Monday, Aug. 9, by declaring that “Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan are Iran’s security belt,” and sending its National Security Council Director Saeed Jalili, who is also lead nuclear negotiator, to Beirut Sunday to strengthen his hand. This is reported by debkafile’s Iranian sources.
Upon arrival, the NSC head went into conference with Nasrallah and the spiritual leader’s special aide Ali Akbar Velayati, who arrived in Beirut last Thursday, Aug. 5 after the Lebanese-Israeli border clash, and is still there.
Jalilee then took off for Damascus to give Syrian president Bashar Assad a piece of his mind. According to our sources, in a conversation that went on till early Monday, the Iranian official made it clear that Tehran would not tolerate the deal Assad concluded with Saudi king Abdullah to pull away from – or even reduce – Syrian relations with Hizballah.
Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has clearly taken charge of the Lebanese situation. He is maintaining control through two top officials kept standing by in Beirut and Damascus as Nasrallah prepares to accuse Israel of assassinating Rafiq Hariri, four-time prime minister of Lebanon, in February 2005.
This is the gambit Nasrallah is using to blackmail the Hariri government by a threat of civil war and/or a military confrontation with Israel into disbanding the UN special tribunal and so avoid surrendering indicted Hizballah leaders to the court.
With Tehran ranged solidly behind him at the highest level, the Israeli, Lebanese and Syrian war planners have put their armies, along with Hzballah, on the ready for trouble.
Iran made sure border tensions remained high after Lebanese army snipers killed an Israeli officer in a clash last Tuesday, Aug. 5. As debkafile reported at the time, a group of Iranian intelligence and commando officers Friday openly toured the South Lebanese-Israeli borders and studied Israeli positions, making sure they were seen on the Israeli side.
They are still present at Hizballah’s forward positions.
Sunday, Lebanese foreign minister Ali Al-Shami flew to Tehran to appeal for help in toning down the ultimatum posed by Nasrallah for Prime Minister Saad Hariri to disband the special tribunal established by the UN and Lebanon to probe his father’s murder and instead accuse Israel before the UN Security Council. Al-Shami maintained that this move would break up Lebanon’s unity government and open the gates to a recurrence of civil warfare and fighting with Israel.
His appeal to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fell on deaf ears. Instead, Jalilee was put on a special plane to Beirut to strengthen the Hizballah leader’s hand. This was clear from his remark: “The power of resistance and unity of the Lebanese Army does not let the Zionist regime to even cut a tree. Earlier, the Zionist regime could advance to the borders of Beirut fearlessly. Today the Zionist army gets a strong response from Islamic Resistance…” His words meant that, for Tehran, the Lebanese Army’s 9th Battalion is no longer a separate, autonomous entity, but integral to Hizballah and a partner in its radical mission.

Who will investigate why they chose to go to Spain rather than vacation in the USA where the monies spent could help impoverished cities and states? Didn’t the husband have a great time in Chicago with Oprah while the mrs. was vacationing? Why Chicago, we also wonder? Any payoff’s to the Blago witnesses or anyone associated with Blago’s trial?

We know what they seek (a world like Cordoba under Muslim rule) and when they seek it (within the next decade).

Great post, Red Pill. You nailed it. They want to go back to interfaith harmony under their terms. That being, every non-Muslim must SUBMIT to them. If we agree to become second class citizens under their authority, then they will deign to put up with us, at least until they decide not to. They have always and ever been irritated by the FACT that they lost Spain to the reconquista. Politically correct history says that under the Muslims, Spain was guided out of the dark ages into a wonderful period of glory, beauty, art, and enlightenment. It’s all a load of CRAP. They stole the country from the original inhabitants. They imposed their religion. They enslaved the non-Muslims in dhimmitude. We know all about their culture. No need to expound upon that. Whatever freedom women had before, you can guess how much they had after the Muslim invasion, conquest, and oppression. The cost of the plane was a mere $200,000 and secret service $75,000/day ( $375,000) and that doesn’t include the 30 rooms in a 5 star hotel and incidentals. Grief stricken friends should all be taken care of in that way. Perhaps Mrs. Jesse Jackson had them over for lunch one day to help defray their travel costs. While the cat was away did Barry have a play day in Chicago?

U.S. underwrites fund raising tour for Islamic shrine at Ground Zero

The State Department is sending Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf – the mastermind of the Ground Zero Mosque – on a trip through the Middle East to foster “greater understanding” about Islam and Muslim communities in the United States. However, important questions are being raised about whether this is simply a taxpayer-funded fund raising jaunt to underwrite his reviled project, which is moving ahead in Lower Manhattan.
Mr. Rauf is scheduled to go to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Qatar, the usual stops for Gulf-based fund raising. The State Department defends the five-country tour saying that Mr. Rauf is “a distinguished Muslim cleric,” but surely the government could find another such figure in the United States who is not seeking millions of dollars to fund a construction project that has so strongly divided America.
By funding the trip so soon after New York City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission gave the go-ahead to demolish the building on the proposed mosque site, the State Department is creating the appearance that the U.S. government is facilitating the construction of this shameful structure. It gives Mr. Rauf not only access but imprimatur to gather up foreign cash. And because Mr. Rauf has refused to reveal how he plans to finance his costly venture, the American public is left with the impression it will be a wholly foreign enterprise.
Americans also may be surprised to learn that the United States has been an active participant in mosque construction projects overseas.
The U.S. government also helped save the Amr Ebn El Aas Mosque in Cairo, which dates back to 642. The mosque’s namesake was the Muslim conqueror of Christian Egypt, who built the structure on the site where he had pitched his tent before doing battle with the country’s Byzantine rulers. For those who think the Ground Zero Mosque is an example of “Muslim triumphalism” glorifying conquest, the Amr Ebn El Aas Mosque is an example of such a monument – and one paid for with U.S. taxpayer funds.
The mosques being rebuilt by the United States are used for religious worship, which raises important First Amendment questions. U.S. taxpayer money should not be used to preserve and promote Islam, even abroad.
In July 2009, the Office of the Inspector General published an audit of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) faith-based and community initiatives that examined whether government funds were being used for religious activities.
The State Department is either wittingly or unwittingly using tax money to support Mr. Rauf’s efforts to realize his dream of a supersized mosque blocks away from the sacred ground of the former World Trade Center, which was destroyed by Islamic fanaticism.

My guess is that they would not. So, why are they using our tax dollars to support Muslim interests, but not Christian interests?

“The spirit behind this holiday is a reminder that Islam brings hope and comfort to more than 1 billion people worldwide,” Bush said. “Islam affirms God’s justice and insists on man’s moral responsibility.”
Bush left his shoes at the door, in keeping with the practice of the Islamic Center of Washington, a national center for Muslim culture and prayer. He also had visited six days after the terrorist attacks last year.
Back then, with a surge in hate crimes against Muslims in the United States, Bush was trying to defuse Americans’ anger against Islam. Today, he has a different problem — increased hostility by Muslims around the world against America.
In an international survey released Wednesday, the Pew Global Attitudes Project found the image of the United States is slipping worldwide, and particularly in Middle Eastern countries with large Muslim populations. Large percentages of Muslim respondents in several countries said they believe suicide bomb attacks are a justifiable defense of Islam.
On Wednesday, Bush blamed America’s tarnished image among Muslims on “propaganda machines (that) are cranked up in the international community that paints our country in a bad light.”
The growing animosity comes at a time when Bush is trying to rally the world against terrorism and gather allies for possible military action against Iraq.
Inside the ornate mosque, Bush offered an explanation of the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, and renewed his defense of Islam.

I don’t have time right now to go read the 400+ comments at freerepublic, but here’s my view of what you posted above…
I believe George W. Bush is a good man with a good heart, but he is also very naive at times and trusts people who should not be trusted. He trusted stealth/crypto-Marxists like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Henry Paulson. He trusted that Islam, as a whole, is a “Religion of Peace”. But that’s not what the text of the Qur’an and Hadiths teaches. Those writings teach worldwide conversion, subjugation or death. Not peaceful co-existence as equal citizens.
Bush was trying to convince the Muslim world that he was not at war against Islam. But he failed to realize that Islam is at war against us. He failed to realize when unprovoked Muslim terrorism against the U.S.A. really began. It wasn’t 2001, or 1993, or even any other date during his lifetime… It was before George Washington even became President… in the earliest days of the U.S.A.

This is about the survival of our country and Western civilization as a whole. It’s not about party politics.
I think Bush did a lot of things right, and a lot of things wrong. He was right to go to after the terrorist organizations who attacked us, and against governments who support those organizations (although that list of supporters is longer than Afghanistan and Iraq).
But Bush bought into the lie that these Jihadists had “perverted a peaceful religion”. I would guess that the OIC considers Bush a “useful idiot”. We need more leaders like Colonel Allen West.
One alternative explanation is that Bush listened to and bought into the idea that if we appear to be attacking Islam, the religion, then we will might be adding recruits to this jihad. So he went out of his way to make a separation between “moderate” Muslims and terrorist jihadists. I don’t know if he’s correct or not.
I did read the Koran. It was not conceived as a religion of peace; it doesn’t read like a religion of peace. It’s a religion of submission. In their view, that’s what the meaning of peace is–submission. There will be peace when all submit.
However, I’m open to the concept that perhaps there are versions of Islam today where followers ARE peaceful and are not intent on conquering the entire world via terror or “any [other] means necessary.”
I saw a woman on FOX the other night. She was a “moderate” Muslim who condemned the building of that mosque at Ground Zero. She said she understands why it’s so offensive and that true Muslims would not go out of their way to cause pain to the 9/11 families. If she’s for real, then she’s a good person.
Yet there’s always the possibility that she’s not for real, because of taquiyya.
We need to wise up and protect ourselves and our own before it’s too late. If we step on the toes of some well-intentioned “moderate” Muslims, then so be it. If they’re truly well-intentioned and moderate, then they ought to understand why we do what we do.
For the same reasons that I understood why Londoners might have been suspicious of an obviously Irish-looking person walking into a department store with a bag but walking out without it.

I agree with this thinking a bit Miri. It is like punishing the catholics as a whole for a pervert. People are too easily led is a problem. We all have common sense and boundries.They must be utilized. We must remember that there are alot of people that relocated here and globally to escape finatics. If you read of the Iranian man that lost his mother at ground zero stating that he does not want her memory smeared with a mosque built over her body you can take that feeling to the bank. MICHELLE Obama has followed in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles when she paid a visit to Spain’s oldest bullring in Ronda.
The First lady spent Saturday in the mountain town, which sits 45 minutes inland from the Costa del Sol.
Charmed by its history, she and her daughter Sacha, 9, spent the morning sightseeing, before taking a relaxed lunch in a restaurant overlooking the town´s famous Tajo gorge.
Apart from visiting the house of St John Bosco, which overlooks the famous vista, they toured the controversial gardens of the Casa del Rey Moro, which is due to be sold by forced auction later this month.

U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and her younger daughter lunched with Spain’s King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia today at the royal summer residence on the Balearic island of Majorca.
Mrs Obama, nine-year-old Sasha and their entourage flew into the Majorcan capital of Palma from the glitzy Mediterranean resort of Marbella, where they have been staying since Wednesday at a deluxe hotel.
The lunch is Mrs Obama’s last engagement in Spain before flying home to Washington DC, where she has come under fire for her lavish break on the Costa del Sol with 40 friends, which has been estimated at costing U.S. taxpayers £50,000 a day.

If there were other little girls on this trip, one a friend of Sasha’s, then why are there no pictures of the little friends frolicking in Spain? Or did the other mothers and daughters just want to catch a free trip, courtesy of the US taxpayers? Just along for the ride, not for the company, which is why they didn’t hang out with MO and Sasha.
Why do they hide the name of the other woman who went on the trip? There was MO, Blanchard, the “other woman” and four “daughters” among them.

This is Puerto Banus, a luxury suburb of Marbella in southern Spain and truly a millionaire’s paradise.
But who are these people and where does their wealth come from?
The majority are legitimate businessmen, but Britain currently has a list of 230 known criminals sheltering in Spain and many of them are believed to live in and around Puerto Banus.

The Costa del Sol has seen an upsurge in violent crime in recent years with British, Irish and Russian gangs vying with local Spanish criminals for command of the lucrative drugs trade.
Morocco is only 40 miles away across the southern horizon.
The profit margins for smuggling Moroccan cannabis and Colombian cocaine are too tempting for many ex-pats, even when threatened with imprisonment or death.
A Briton was arrested in April this year in nearby Fuengirola after a consignment of cannabis and cocaine was discovered.
And drug dealer Scott Bradfield, from London, was murdered in October 2001.
His limbs were found in a suitcase on wasteland near Torremolinos in December and his head and torso were discovered in another case nearby.

Mr Bradfield was the prime suspect in the murder of James Gaspa, who was shot dead at his home in Islington, north London, in May 2000.
Police were about to issue an extradition warrant for him and it is possible he was killed to prevent him turning supergrass.
But he may have been executed simply because his dealing had encroached on a rival’s territory.
The drugs trade and the property boom are luring criminals of all nationalities to the Costa del Sol.

Not to mention early Christianity was based off logic and reasoning, while islam was and still is based solely in subjective emotions with no reasoning, no logic, and no education.
While there were many islamic scholars in history, it is worthy to note many of the scholars were more “arabian decent” while turning atheist just to avoid islam after becoming educated, then after death being bestowed an honorary islamic title to keep the illusion that it is a great pseudo/religion alive in the worlds mind. Such as Omar Khayyam who once after an education became a silent but devout atheist with great sympathy to the Christians, not converting to Christianity only out of fear living among muslims.
Let it be known, islam is nothing more then a cult for the unintelligent and emotive driven who are at best, extreme radicals when they want their way.
Which explains a lot why liberals are so sympathetic to muslims, while holding so much contemptuous hatred for Christianity today.

Antonio Gramsci was a communist who was imprisoned in Italy during the reign of Mussolini. he wrote the prison notebook. Its whole objective was aimed at getting communism into the United States; not by revolution with guns, but specifically using the names of radical groups such as feminist movements, minority civil rights movements and such, until the American people had so much they screamed and begged for totalitarianism.

In short, objectivsm is this as an example: Say your in school and take a test. But you do poorly on it. However the teacher likes you, sees your upset over this and changes your grade to an “A” or at least passing.
The universal truth which works independently of the personal truth dictates objectivism, meaning… no matter what, even if your teacher wrote an “A” on your paper with gold leaf, taken you out for a victory dinner… the universal truth that no one can ever change is the fact you did poorly on your test. This can come back to haunt you as a future job might want you based on that test and expect you to preform as well as you did on that test.
The truth may hurt, but the cool thing it only hurts once. However, truth is the kryptonite of the liberals. And also; reality ALWAYS wins.
This is why liberalism fails. communism fails. However the problem lays in this; they make it so when they fail, we ALL go down with them. This is why it is so crucial to remain strong opposing them.
