The Topsy-Turvy Bus
“Topsy” the topsy-turvy bus was made by welding two school buses together, with one being upside down on the other. Topsy toured the US in 2007 to “dramatically depict America’s upside down budget priorities” according to its inventors.
Ben Cohen, a co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s (magnificent ice cream) and artist Stefan Sagmeister came up with the idea. Then Ted Kennedy, Oakland, CA and a team of 10 artists completed the design.
It seems to depict how many of us feel these days with things seemingly so upside down and the nation’s priorities askew.
This is an Open Thread for the Swirling News that is driving you crazy. Meanwhile we’ll keep wondering, Who Really Is Driving the Bus? Because we sure know who isn’t!
