Attorney General Summarizes Mueller Report

Attorney General William Barr sent his summary of the conclusions of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report to Congress this afternoon. Of note:

The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Crazy or Compromised

Promoting a book, disgraced and fired former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is giving interviews to friendly television journalists, in which he admits to instigating both a criminal as well as a counterintelligence investigation targeting President Donald J. Trump. Amazingly, McCabe provides no facts or evidence, no probable cause, to investigate a sitting president. Instead, McCabe appears to have bought into a ridiculous conspiracy theory, suspecting that President Trump was a Manchurian candidate, a puppet of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Senator Grassley’s Referral Memo

Senator Grassley has released the memo that was sent to the DOJ and the FBI, referring Christopher Steele for investigation. However, the memo is heavily redacted, which means that We the People will have to wait to see what Senator Grassley knows that we’re not being allowed to know.

Comey and Reality

This is an interesting week for the United States of America. Today, intelligence officials are set to testify:

Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, National Security Agency Director Adm. Mike Rogers, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will all testify before the Senate intelligence committee 24 hours before the [James] Comey hearing.
