Attorney General Summarizes Mueller Report

Attorney General William Barr sent his summary of the conclusions of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report to Congress this afternoon. Of note:

The Special Counsel’s investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

As for obstruction of justice:

 The Special Counsel states that “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” 

However, as we all know, everyone, every citizen, is innocent until proven guilty. That includes the President of the United States. Given that Mueller and his cabal of Democrat “investigators” (aka the witch hunters) wanted dearly to “conclude” that President Trump committed a crime, even they failed miserably to make any such conclusion.

The Attorney General, after reviewing the “evidence” in Mueller’s report, concluded that it is

not sufficient to establish that the President  committed an obstruction-of-justice offense. 

Barr notes that his decision in no way took into account any suggestion that a sitting president can’t be indicted. In other words, Trump is being treated as any other citizen would be. (Hillary Clinton excepted, seeing as how a great deal of evidence was presented concerning her violations of multiple laws and yet the Obama DOJ nevertheless declined to prosecute her, claiming she had no “intent” to commit any crime.)

Of note is the fact that Mueller admits in his report that there was no underlying crime, which “bears upon the President’s intent with respect to obstruction.”  Ha, ha. Intent.

Keep in mind that at the time that President Trump fired disgraced former FBI head James Comey, for particularly good reasons regarding his usurpation of the role of the Attorney General during the non-investigation “investigation” of Hillary Clinton’s misuse of classified information, President Trump had been assured by Comey that Trump was not under investigation and was not a target of any investigation (albeit Comey was deliberately lying to the President).

Also keep in mind that it’s ridiculous to consider that a president can obstruct justice simply by doing the job he was elected to do.

It doesn’t take much to imagine what hay the Democrats will make out of Mueller’s claim that he hasn’t “exonerated” the President.

No investigation exonerates anyone. Investigations exist to find evidence of crimes. Mueller found no evidence of crimes with regard to the President or his campaign. 

Case closed. End of story.

Trump won. Clinton lost.

Get over it.
