Stimulus Bill and Progressive’s Healthcare Strategy Penned by Ex-Cons

by Bridgette

The following article was released by Big Government simultaneously with Glen Beck’s show yesterday. This is a view of the Progressive’s playbook for healthcare and how they intended to win at all costs. The writer of their playbook is Robert Creamer, a convicted felon, and the husband of Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL). (Another liberal couple that do not share the same last name). Creamer penned his book in his jail cell at the federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Creamer, a community organizer, was convicted on 16 counts of bank fraud involving three alleged check-kiting schemes. Because of his schemes, several banks experienced shortfalls of at least $2.3 million. He also wrote checks with insufficient funds, failed to collect withholding tax from an employee, and paid himself a $100,000 salary with fraudulently obtained funds. Tom Roeser wrote, “Creamer wrote checks on accounts that lacked funds and did so repeatedly as he moved money from one account to another in three banks.” He was “playing what bankers describe as the “float” and, thus, making them believe that the accounts had more money in them than they actually did”. Is this how the ACORN groups operate too?

Jan vociferously maintained her husband was innocent. Under our laws, one is innocent until proven guilty, or until they plead guilty. He pled guilty. At trial, Creamer used the organization’s mantra for his behavior and said it was his “burning desire to create an organization that empowered ordinary people that led me to make serious errors in that organization’s finances.” US Attorney, Patrick Fitzgerald, wanted him to put in jail for 4 years, but Creamer’s attorney argued for probation because Creamer had spent a lifetime fighting “for social justice.” He broke the law so he could keep fighting for the causes he believed in.” Joe Ferguson, a prosecutor in Fitzgerald’s office said, “Creamer acted like he was above the law and continued his illegal activities even after a visit from the FBI, and he never took responsibility for his actions.” That is an interesting statement. This appears to be how most progressives think, that they are above the law, and they never admit their responsibility. The blame is outward, not inward. We seem to be seeing this trait in others who are associated or involved with community organizing venues. That old progressive social justice story is getting to be real old.

Anyway, Creamer ripped off the organization he worked for, and miraculously went right back to the same organization where he was welcomed with open arms. It reminded me a little of Van Jones who left the WH, and went right to work with John Podesta. They have mobile shifts from one radical organization to another leftist organization, and their mobility is so seamless. They leave their jobs in what used to be called disgrace, and are immediately forgiven for their crimes. These organizations are so accepting of those who had paid their time for their crimes. Yes, they are very benevolent, and are a very family oriented group.

Another interesting thing about Creamer is that he became a registered lobbyiest after serving his sentence. He worked for and was paid by George Soros’ “Open Society Policy Center”. In that capacity, he worked against the Senate confirmation of UN ambassador John Bolton. Before that he also worked on Rod Blagojevich’s first gubernatorial campaign.

Roeser reported that in June, 2007, Creamer taught at “Camp Obama” that was held at candidate Obama’s office in Chicago. This was a summer camp for aspiring campaign interns and volunteers. He was training them how to raise money and get elected. Should we assume he was teaching them the “tricks of their trade” and how community organizing and social justice will benefit them later on?

Glenn Beck showed how the Democrats have followed Creamer’s strategy to the letter. Please also note that Creamer’s book is dedicated to none other than Saul Alinsky. Coincidence again?

It is probably another fluke that all of Creamer’s connections are the same ones we read about over and over. These fine specimens of humanity wrote reviews for Creamer’s book: Andy Stern, SEIU; John Podesta; David Axelrod; Wes Boyd, Moveon.org; Huffington Post; John Lewis, Black Caucus; and Lloyd Doggett to name a few. (Perhaps you will remember that Obama wrote one of those reviews for Ayres book, but he did not know him. He was offering an opinion.) You will certainly be surprised to learn that Creamer’s clients in his firm, Strategic Consulting Group, include ACORN, SEIU, United Steelworkers, and AFL-CIO. Weren’t those the same groups and people that were meeting in Washington, D.C. for the Job Summit? I do believe they were. Aren’t they all Peas in a giant Green Pod!

Additionally, apparently when one gets out of the Big House they can gain access to the White House. Yes, this known ex-convict was there along with his wife and the Salahi’s of Crasher-gate notoriety at the White House State Dinner for the Indian prime minister. Was this another breach of the Secret Service or is this getting to be the modus operandi of this administration? One has to wonder who authorized Creamer’s admittance. One also wonders if the Salahi’s were the cover for Mr. Creamer. With all eyes on the Salahis, who was to notice the convict? After all, he was not wearing a striped tux..or was he? No wonder Desiree Rogers is being given executive immunity regarding the Salahis…but will Creamer be part of the investigation? Protocol just isn’t what it used to be.

If we weren’t enraged before, this just might take us over the top! As a reminder, the other jail bird, Van Jones, Apollo, was responsible for writing the Stimulus Bill that has worked out so well for us. Now we find that another ex-con has penned the Alinsky inspired Progressive Health Care Strategy. Robert Creamer, an ex-con, self appointed community organizer, wrote a book while in prison that seems to be the blueprint for President Obama’s plan to shove America into a government-run health care plan whether we want it or not. The Democrats are right on target in riding to their victory by using Creamer’s guide to winning by using “fear, revulsion, anger, and disgust.” We can all agree, they have those tactics down pat. Their win will be our loss.

Was Democrats’ Health Care Strategy Written In Federal Prison?

by Joel B. Pollak

On August 31, I headed to the health care town hall meeting of my congressional representative, Jan Schakowsky (D-IL). I suspected that she planned to stack the meeting with paid organizers, after she vowed on Real Time with Bill Maher to bring “millions” of people into the streets to support the so-called “public option.” So I brought a video camera. (Video available at Big Government)

A friend and I took turns filming protesters on both sides of the issue. We caught an organizer from the group Health Care for America Now (HCAN) instructing followers to block dissenting views: “So if they stand up and start asking questions, and you’re in that area, simply stand up, and start chanting… ‘Health care now! Health care now!’”

My experience at Rep. Schakowsky’s town hall meeting that night convinced me to challenge her in the 2010 election. I had already stood up to Rep. Barney Frank at Harvard University, when I asked him about his role in the financial crisis. I could not simply watch thugs drown out the people of my own community back home, and do nothing.

The HCAN video became a YouTube sensation, the “smoking gun” in the controversy over which side of the debate was “Astroturfing”—i.e. creating a false image of grass roots support. I have since discovered that the video contains clues about how the entire nationwide health care campaign was planned and executed by congressional Democrats and the White House.

It turns out that the organizer in the video is John Gaudette, the Illinois director of HCAN. Gaudette also works for a left-wing group linked to ACORN called Citizen Action/Illinois. Rep. Schakowsky sits on the Policy Council of the group, which suggests that she may have known about or even coordinated the suppression of her own constituents’ views by HCAN.

The Plot Thickens.

Rep. Schakowsky’s husband, Robert Creamer, used to be the leader of Citizen Action/Illinois. He also founded its predecessor, Illinois Public Action, in which Ms. Schakowsky served as Program Director. He runs a political consulting firm, the Strategic Consulting Group, which lists ACORN and the SEIU among its clients and which made $541,000 working for disgraced former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.

Creamer resigned from Citizen Action/Illinois after the FBI began investigating him for bank fraud and tax evasion at Illinois Public Action. He was convicted in 2006 and sentenced to five months in federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, plus eleven months of house arrest.

While in prison—or “forced sabbatical,” he called it—Creamer wrote a lengthy political manual, Listen to Your Mother: Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win (Seven Locks Press, 2007).

The book was endorsed by leading Democrats and their allies, including SEIU boss Andy Stern—the most frequent visitor thus far to the Obama White House—and chief Obama strategist David Axelrod, who noted that Creamer’s tome “provides a blueprint for future victories.”

In the book, Creamer draws lessons from decades of experience on the radical left, including the teachings of arch-radical Saul Alinsky, and several episodes from Rep. Schakowsky’s political career. He also lays out a “Progressive Agenda for Structural Change,” which includes a ten-point plan for foisting universal health care on the American people in 2009:

* “We must create a national consensus that health care is a right, not a commodity; and that government must guarantee that right.”
* “We must create a national consensus that the health care system is in crisis.”
* “Our messaging program over the next two years should focus heavily on reducing the credibility of the health insurance industry and focusing on the failure of private health insurance.”
* “We need to systematically forge relationships with large sectors of the business/employer community.”
* “We need to convince political leaders that they owe their elections, at least in part, to the groundswell of support of [sic] universal health care, and that they face political peril if they fail to deliver on universal health care in 2009.”
* “We need not agree in advance on the components of a plan, but we must foster a process that can ultimately yield consensus.”
* “Over the next two years, we must design and organize a massive national field program.”
* “We must focus especially on the mobilization of the labor movement and the faith community.”
* “We must systematically leverage the connections and resources of a massive array of institutions and organizations of all types.”
* “To be successful, we must put in place commitments for hundreds of millions of dollars to be used to finance paid communications and mobilization once the battle is joined.”

Creamer adds: “To win we must not just generate understanding, but emotion—fear, revulsion, anger, disgust.”

Democrats have followed Creamer’s plan to the letter. They have claimed our health care system is in crisis despite polls showing the overwhelming majority of Americans are happy with the care they receive. They have—with the help of President Obama circulated false horror stories about Americans dying for lack of health care and health insurance.

They have targeted the health insurance industry, with Rep. Schakowsky herself promising to “put the private insurance industry out of business,” though it is a top employer in Illinois.

Democrats have cut deals with the pharmaceutical industry and the American Medical Association, among others. They have brought in the President himself to tell wavering “Blue Dog” Democrats that their re-election chances depend on passing health care reform. They have bused in SEIU members to town hall meetings, and used rabbis and pastors to back health care reform from the pulpit.

They have used a complex, interconnected web of organizations—including HCAN and Organizing For America, the former Obama campaign arm—to whip up support and silence opposition. And they have benefited from hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising to convince the public to support bills that their representatives have never read themselves.

Creamer wrote his plan in 2006, explicitly proposing that it be carried out in 2009, once a “progressive Democrat is elected President” and once Democrats could count on 60 votes in the Senate. It is curious that Creamer, sitting in prison, could have predicted the details and the timing of President Obama’s legislative agenda so precisely.

The likeliest explanation is that Creamer helped design the Democrats’ health care strategy. That would explain why President Obama made health care an obsession in 2009, when it was only one among many issues he raised on the campaign trail in 2008. It would explain the role of several overlapping left-wing groups, including Creamer’s own Citizen Action/Illinois.

It would explain why HCAN was particularly aggressive at Rep. Schakowsky’s own town hall meeting. And Creamer’s involvement would also explain his high profile after being released from prison. He worked for the Obama campaign, training volunteers at “Camp Obama.” He has continued his work at the Strategic Consulting Group, leading “many of the country’s most significant issue campaigns,” he claims. He was also at the White House state dinner last month—together with Stern, Axelrod, and other cronies—despite the fact that ex-convicts are usually barred from such events.

Creamer’s broader aim, as laid out in his book, is the “democratization of wealth” in America and “progressive control of governments around the world.” As he recently wrote on his blog at the Huffington Post: “If we succeed in winning health insurance reform we will have breached the gates of the status quo. We will demonstrate that fundamental change is possible. Into that breach will flow a wave of progressive change.”

It is a radical agenda, making use of Rep. Schakowsky’s public profile, a network of far-left organizations, and Creamer’s old friends in the White House. It began in federal prison, and has unfolded exactly as intended, over the protests of thousands of ordinary Americans across the nation. It will not end with health care. It will continue until Mr. Creamer’s Alinskyite dream of radical change is realized—or until voters stand up and put a stop to it in 2010.

  1. Another great post, Bridgette. You didn’t miss a point. Great work!

I do notice that these progressives consistently imply that “the devil made me do it,” whenever they get caught. If that doesn’t work, then they fall back on the “I’m only trying to help the little people” meme. “I got carried away by my generosity and love for my fellow man.” No personal responsibility. Ever. Just another guy from the Chicago neighborhood? This IS getting very old. Will this hit the last-legs media? Don’t count on it. They’re too busy chasing down Tiger’s latest mistress.

  2. Ditto on Miri’s comment…another great post, Bridgette! What stood out and is echoing in my head:

“we will have breached the gates…” Disturbing to say the least.

  3. Bravo Bridgette!

This piece needs to be printed out, copied and shoved in mailboxes across the land.

The Thief in Chief is taking this Nation for a pack of fools. Fitzpatrick needs to be thoroughly investigated for collusion. Which reminds me to ask: When did Blago get arrested? And, when will we be told of Rezko’s disposition?
Time flies when you’re having a good time.
    Listen: Crickets.

I dedicate this comment to Saul Alinsky.

  4. Found a very good article with many, many names I had not heard before and a couple of videos. (Since I can’t watch vids, if you hear anything special, could ya let me/us know?)

    • Whoa, that is a wealth of new information and names. Indeed an eye- opener. Peach, you do realize these are just guys in the neighborhood..

Trevor is an excellent researcher. Amazing how he does that from Australia.

Quentin Young, O’s physician. Wasn’t there a Young that was murdered in Rev. Wright’s church?

      • Not sure why my first response to you took flight!

Yes, those guys in the neighborhood can be interesting also. And yes, Donald Young was a murder victim. Is there still an “open” investigation?

          • Thanks for that link, Renee. Can you believe the wealth of info on the pResident’s “personal physician”? Aka, the guy who’s covering up whatever it is in his health records he doesn’t want us to know. btw, don’t most presidents get taxpayer-funded “check ups” round about January?

Here are a few choice tidbits about this particular physician,

-plaintiff in an ACLU lawsuit against President Bush’s “warrantless wiretaps”

-“outspoken opponent” of President Bush’s medical savings account proposals

-activist for single-payer, universal health care; “best known for speaking out about social justice in the realm of health policy” (social justice. huh.)

-“He was a founder and served as National Chairman of the Medical Committee for Human Rights, which was formed in June of 1964 to provide medical care for civil rights workers, community activists, and summer volunteers working in Mississippi during Freedom Summer.[2] MCHR also provide emergency medical care to protesters at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. In October of 1968 he was called to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee about his knowledge of the DNC protests”

-worked for over 20 years with Physicians for a National Health Program. How long until we find a link to ACORN? Why, not long at all. A writer at the PNHP website named Swanson:
“David Swanson is the author of the upcoming book “Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union” by Seven Stories Press and of the introduction to “The 35 Articles of Impeachment and the Case for Prosecuting George W. Bush” published by Feral House and available at Amazon.com. Swanson holds a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Virginia. He has worked as a newspaper reporter and as a communications director, with jobs including press secretary for Dennis Kucinich’s 2004 presidential campaign, media coordinator for the International Labor Communications Association, and three years as communications coordinator for ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Swanson is Co-Founder of AfterDowningStreet.org, creator of ConvictBushCheney.org and Washington Director of Democrats.com, a board member of Progressive Democrats of America, the Backbone Campaign, and Voters for Peace, a member of the legislative working group of United for Peace and Justice, and convener of the accountability and prosecution working group of United for Peace and Justice.” Isn’t this special?
            Here’s the link:
            http://www.pnhp.org/news/2009/january/single-payer-moment

-the Daily Kos links Quentin Young to felon Creamer, husband of Shakowski. Isn’t that extra special?
            http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/12/15/965/02862/21/673235

Looks as if this Young is a white guy, but appearances can be deceiving. Don’t know if he’s related to the Young from Wright’s church, who was murdered.

  5. Thanks Miri, Peach and Papoose for your kind comments.

Its been quite an educational year learning about gangsters, thugs, corruption, and government. The interweaving of these criminals is astounding. This is a serial movie that beats the Sopranos..and, unfortunately, we can’t turn the channel. The raping of our economy, traditions, institutions, and people is what we read about in despotic countries and now we are seeing it it 3-D, up close and personal. Bottom feeders and sewer rats have infested our country. If only we could put out boxes of D-Con.

  6. Did you see that the pResident really won an award today ? He gets it for having the lowest approval rating of any US President in the December of their first year… 47% approval. Now there are 53% totally disapproving. Gibbs mocked the reliability of Gallop and called it meaningless in his daily propaganda conference.

As we all know, today the left will be attacking Gallop as an unreliable source of information. And we also are well aware that Gibbs is an unreliable source for anything.

By golly, he finally made another mark in history. ..and again, he didn’t have to do one thing to win it. How lucky is that? These things just don’t happen by chance.

    • Congress disapproval averages 64%. As for the direction of the country, an average of 59% say it’s, “on the wrong effing track!”

  7. looks like Leo Donofrio has his hands full representing Chrysler dealers:

  8. In their eyes, we are all just pieces of crap. Once they’ve sucked us dry, they’ll just force the new generation to like it or lump it.

The usurper is getting bored. He needs to Move On so he can dominate the world. So easy to read. He’s a nobody with 8 foreign siblings that has blackmailed almost everyone under the sun.

Yo Bill Clinton, thanks a lot! That our living Presidents and former presidential contenders would let this sham get this far is sickening. Yeah, they love our Country. Can’t you tell? An effin rip off artist writes playbook for a sitting POTUS. Get a grip. We’ve been had. Investigate Fitzpatrick Now. What does he know? And when did he know it? Let’s get on go and charge this supposed prosecutor with dereliction of duty. The proof is in the pudding. See how fast he claims the 5th. The Constitution comes in handy sometimes.

  9. Leo Donofrio and Steve Pidgeon are back in a BIG way representing Chrysler in bankruptcy court and the DC Court filing a Quo Warranto. WOW! I knew Leo was a game changer. Big News!

    Healthcare…January 30, 2010 at 11:36 am – C-SPAN Baltimore, MD
