Andrew Breitbart (1969-2012)

We may not have known him personally, but we know of his work.  He was a fellow patriot, fighting to save our country from the onslaught of the  leftist Ismistas.  We are shocked at this  news.  Ripples of his passing are quickly entering the blogasphere where he was best known for his sites such as Breitbart’s  Big Government, Breitbart TV, Big Hollywood, Big Journalism, Big Peace, and Breitbart.

His sudden, unexplained death occurred last evening as he was walking near his home.  He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his death.

His fearlessness in standing up against the radical left  is noteworthy.  His knowledge and insight will be missed in the days ahead.

May he rest in peace knowing that what he started will by continued by many.

Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, friends and coworkers.  Our tears flow with yours.

“It was just after midnight when Christopher Lasseter was walking his little dog in Brentwood. He watched a man he now knows to be Andrew Breitbart crossing Barrington from The Brentwood.

Beritbart was walking without apparent distress in the direction of the Starbucks across the well-lit street. Once Breitbart stepped up on the curb, as Lasseter put it, “He fell hard like a sack of Potatoes.”

A man unknown to Lasseter called 911. The 911 operator told them to begin chest compressions on Beritbart until the police and paramedics arrived.

The very top photo shows where Breitbart died on his back with his head close to the lamp post on the left and his feet under the newspaper vending machine to the right.

Lasseter described Breitbart’s skin color as bright red. ”

I was puzzled because I remember that a person who has carbon monoxide poisoning will be bright red. Then I read the comments. First one:

“The skin of a cyanide-poisoned person can sometimes be unusually pink or cherry-red because oxygen will stay in the blood and not get into the cells. The person may also breathe very fast and have either a very fast or very slow heartbeat. Sometimes the person’s breath can smell like bitter almonds, though this can be difficult to detect.”

However, I thought with cyanide a person turns blue. This writer says TMZ has video of Breitbart. Some are speculating that it will be covered up.

  2. Coroner: Breitbart Died of Heart Failure
    April 21, 2012

The office of the Los Angeles County coroner has completed its investigation into the death of
Andrew Breitbart on March 1, and has confirmed that he died of natural causes, namely heart failure.

Chief Coroner Investigator Craig Harvey told Breitbart News that the final autopsy report would be released next week.

A press release issued by the Department of Coroner (below) notes: “No prescription or illicit drugs were detected. The blood alcohol was .04%,” a negligible amount.

The press release concludes: “No significant trauma was present and foul play is not suspected.”

  3. Andrew Breitbart’s Fans Think His Coroner Was Suspiciously Poisoned to Death
By Simone Wilson Mon., Apr. 30 2012

Spoiler alert: The next couple paragraphs will be high on facts and low on fun.

L.A. County Coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter tells LA Weekly that Cormier did not conduct Breitbart’s autopsy. “Only doctors” ever worked on Breitbart, says Winter, because foul play was not suspected from the beginning.

And LAPD Lieutenant Alan Hamilton says that Cormier’s cause of death is very much still undetermined. Cormier apparently ran a small autopsy business out of his home, on top of the many chemicals he handled at the Coroner’s Office. “Even if a substance was introduced,” says Hamilton, “It could be accidental, or a suicide, or a number of things.”

as a surgeon, and one familiar with autopsies and coroners’ autopsies from UCSF SF General Hospital…that quote “only doctors” ever worked on Breitbart…is simply that…the chief technician didn’t “work” on the autopsy, just observed, took specimens, did the paraffin microscopics, etc. That tech Knew exactly what the gross and microscopic findings were immediately. Whether he was killed because he knew a 43 year old did not die of coronary artery disease is.,….well, the entire mystery and question. John Baldwin MD FACS..Cardiac, vascular sugery…California..

    • It is a leftist condescending hit piece until the end. Who knows if Simone really talked to the Coroner’s office. The rest of her piece is about right wing conspiracy theories and the bashing of WND and Info Wars. I guess her head was empty when she attempted to write the facts, and had to tell all those that wondered about Breitbart’s death that they were crazy to wonder about it. She is just so in the know and never has to question anything that occurs so bashes anyone else that does. Except Simone, an investigation into foul play means the police are doing some questioning. I guess they must be conspiracy theorists too.

Her writing is so typical of a person unable to accept other people who think differently than she. What a small world she inhabits. I just read the comments and there were others saying the same thing about her article. I left her a message that went into moderation basically reiterating the same thoughts above. I asked if she talked to two people, why was she only able to write two quotes about what they said? What did she leave out?

    • How likely is it that a person who is not a doctor is allowed, in Soviet California, to “run a small autopsy business out of his home?” Get real. Are we really supposed to believe this? Suicide via arsenic and the suicider goes to a hospital complaining of stomach pains, where he calls a friend who is (or was) a cop?

      • You know what that link to MAC Autopsy Services reminds me of? The bogus company they set up for Breivik right after the shootings. Simone Wilson reads like a member of the Journolist/Cabalist who was mailed the talking points.

This business was apparently his PHOTOGRAPHY business where he worked freelance to photograph, NOT CONDUCT, autopsies. In the days of digital photography, does a photographer use chemicals like arsenic? There is no way of knowing when that information was registered at that link, but I did a search for Mac Autopsy Services from 2010 through 2/29/2012 and NO references showed up. Without the time range, multiple references show up, but they are blogs or news stories about Cormier’s death OR two phone-book-like listings that DON’T show up before 2/29/2012. There’s no “crawl” in the Wayback Machine for any listing of Mac Autopsy Services for the link Simone provided. Just sayin’. Just like Breivik’s business.

  4. Coroner’s office speaks on Breitbart mystery
Addressing speculation on forensic technician who dropped dead
    April 9, 2012

Law-enforcement officials in California are now speaking out on the mysterious death of one of their own forensic technicians who died the day autopsy results were released for conservative powerhouse Andrew Breitbart.

Michael Cormier, a respected forensic attendant for the Los Angeles County Coroner, died under suspicious circumstances at his North Hollywood home April 20, the same day Breitbart’s cause of death was finally made public. It’s been reported arsenic poisoning is being investigated as a possibility, but toxicology results are still three to four weeks away.

Today, Det. Rich Wheeler, a homicide supervisor with the Los Angeles Police Department, told WND that Cormier had no connection whatsoever to the investigation into Breitbart’s death. “No. As far as I know, none,” Wheeler said.

His comment is confirmed by Ed Winter, assistant chief of operations and Cormier’s colleague at the coroner’s office. “Mr. Cormier was not the attendant on Mr. Breitbart’s case, nor did he do any of the handling nor any of the investigation,” Winter told WND.

Winter says the chief medical examiner at the coroner’s office has put a security hold on the Cormier case, so he’s not at liberty to discuss specifics. “It allows for law enforcement to complete our investigation, and so that nothing gets out until we make our determination,” he explained, noting holds are often used in officer-involved shootings, an in-custody death and high-profile cases. “There’s a been a lot of speculation in connection with the Breitbart case,” he admitted.

Winter says after he directly told one news agency – which he refused to name – that Cormier was “absolutely” not connected to the Breitbart case, that news agency actually reported the opposite, that he was involved. “As soon as they did that, I had like 20 different agencies call up [to confirm that],” Winter said. “I spent half the day doing disclaimers [to stress], ‘No, I didn’t say that!’ Sometimes [the media] need to make a big sensational issue.”

    • Meanwhile today, an eyewitness who saw Breitbart drop dead outside the Brentwood Restaurant and whose whereabouts were unaccounted for this week has now been found.

Los Angeles private investigator Paul Huebl has located Christopher Lasseter.

In a video provided to WND, Huebl filmed the inside of the Brentwood Restaurant, showing the bar where Breitbart was in conversation and drinking a glass of wine before leaving the restaurant to cross the street.

As Lasseter described the sequence of events, Breitbart jaywalked across the street at an angle. Lasseter said he did not initially notice anything unusual about how Breitbart looked. When Breitbart reached the curb across the street, Lasseter said he dropped “like a sack of potatoes.” Lasseter further said he noticed a band of blanched white skin around the top of Breitbart’s forehead, extending around the hairline to the back of Breitbart’s head.He described Breitbart’s face and skin as “bright red,” in a manner consistent with Huebl’s first interview with him, as Huebl initially reported on his blog,

Huebl sold his initial videotape of his first interview with Lasseter to, WND asked Casey Carver, spokeswoman for TMZ, how much it paid for the video interview and why TMZ had decided not to air the interview.Carver did not respond to WND’s inquiries.

      • We can guess. Why would you buy and interview and then not air it? So how about they release the witness from that exclusive agreement that I bet they made with him?

  5. Now a witness to Breitbart’s death vanishes
Follows suspicious demise of member of coroner’s team
    May 7, 2012

A private investigator has been unable to find the only eyewitness to the sudden death of media innovator and conservative activist Andrew Breitbart. The apparent disappearance of Christopher Lasseter, who says he saw Breitbart drop to the sidewalk in front of a restaurant, adds to the mystery surrounding Breitbart’s March 1 death.

    An eyewitness disappears

After recruiting the assistance of private investigators, WND found that Lasseter, the 26-year-old witness who saw Breitbart drop dead, is no longer residing at his last known address in California.

At the request of WND, Ohio-based private investigator Susan Daniels recruited a California-based private investigator to find Lasseter. The local investigator tried without success to find a cell phone or landline phone number for Lasseter. After determining that Lasseter lived with his parents, Thornton, age 64, and Elaine, age 56, at a Los Angeles address, the investigator visited the residence in-person to see if he could make contact.

During the visit, the investigator reported, no one picked up the phone when he dialed the Lasseter apartment number outside the building. But he was greeted by a voice recording that identified different people at the apartment by first name, with none of the names on the recording being Christopher, Thornton or Elaine.

The investigator concluded Christopher Lasseter had “hunkered down” in what seemed to be an attempt to avoid further questioning. He was unsure Lasseter was still residing at the address and considered it possible that Lasseter had moved.

  6. …………….He was unsure Lasseter was still residing at the address and considered it possible that Lasseter had moved.

Or has he been taken care of as well? Does anyone posting here ever worry about “being watched”? I’m starting to get really paranoid.

Wasn’t there someone on one of the blogs that quit posting because someone had mentioned her daughter’s name?

I have many things that I’d like to post but am trying to figure out how to do it safely.

    • No one knows your name, so not to worry. We have posted hundreds of articles and thousands of comments. I am not worried. We are small fish in a pond of 300 million. If you want us to post something you are uncomfortable with, put it in the Contact Us Box. But we don’t want to have hundreds of things put in it.

What is there to watch? That we totally oppose the policies and agenda of this regime is no secret. If their intent is to scare people, and that is exactly how dictators work, I will not succumb to them. If we all remain silent and don’t fight for our freedom and liberties what will happen? All we do is post news and our opinions – last I knew that was allowed as Free Speech. We aren’t radicals who are talking about taking our economy down or turning our country into something other than what it has always been like the Ismistas are doing. You will be more terrified living under whatever ideology they are trying to pass off as the transformational country.

Don’t get me wrong, we have all gone through our fearful periods. I think 2 /1 years ago things were scaring me, but I can’t even remember what was occurring to frighten me at the time. I think that it was Tickly that had a problem. She was also known by work she did and people she communicated with.

    • They should worry that we’re watching them. We are legion; they are not. We the People shall prevail in the fight for OUR Republic. We can’t live our lives afraid. They can’t watch everyone. NEVER AGAIN. Isn’t that the slogan of a cadre of very brave human beings? It was Miss Tickly whose daughter’s name was mentioned, iirc. I don’t remember how. In a phone call or what. Let not your heart be troubled. Angels watch over us. I do believe that. St. Michael is our armor and our shield.

      • I had a very close friend die suddenly at the age of 52. She loved angels and every two weeks I would dust her collection of angels. I feel she is there being my angel now.

Also, we pray to St. Michael at our church every week, and I have a copy of it at my computer, and I pray it every day!

        • The Defeater of Satan. Enough said!

        • Sorry to hear about your friend. But I do believe those who are gone still watch over us, too. The older I get, the more I believe that Tinkerbell was right. BELIEVE. Faith.

        • I found this on WND. It’s not the story but the best video. If this is a hoax, it’s very well done. Look at the reflections on the floor and the glass walls. Only thing odd to me is that the light doesn’t seem to project forward onto the floor in front of the apparition.
