Obama “Most Wanted Corrupt Politician”

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption released their “10 Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” List.

Obama, the USA Usurper pResident, made their list while presumably sunbathing in Hawaii, or checking in on Janice Okubo at the DOH. As Gomer Pyle would say, “Surprise, Surprise, Surprise…Shazammm.

Obama can’t be bothered to respond to the USA Citizens regarding two potential terrorists attacks or the uprising in Iran. But we know from CBS that he “sprang into action” when he was notified. He ordered another Mai Tia and a Hawaii Kai Swizzle to go. Now compared to the Nobel Peace Prize, this is an “award” we all understand and can agree upon.

Update:  RETIRING!!

1. Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT): This marks two years in a row for Senator Dodd, who made the 2008 “Ten Most Corrupt” list for his corrupt relationship with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and for accepting preferential treatment and loan terms from Countrywide Financial, a scandal which still dogs him. In 2009, the scandals kept coming for the Connecticut Democrat. In 2009, Judicial Watch filed a Senate ethics complaint against Dodd for undervaluing a property he owns in Ireland on his Senate Financial Disclosure forms. Judicial Watch’s complaint forced Dodd to amend the forms. However, press reports suggest the property to this day remains undervalued. Judicial Watch also alleges in the complaint that Dodd obtained a sweetheart deal for the property in exchange for his assistance in obtaining a presidential pardon (during the Clinton administration) and other favors for a long-time friend and business associate. The false financial disclosure forms were part of the cover-up. Dodd remains the head the Senate Banking Committee.

2. Senator John Ensign (R-NV): A number of scandals popped up in 2009 involving public officials who conducted illicit affairs, and then attempted to cover them up with hush payments and favors, an obvious abuse of power. The year’s worst offender might just be Nevada Republican Senator John Ensign. Ensign admitted in June to an extramarital affair with the wife of one of his staff members, who then allegedly obtained special favors from the Nevada Republican in exchange for his silence. According to The New York Times: “The Justice Department and the Senate Ethics Committee are expected to conduct preliminary inquiries into whether Senator John Ensign violated federal law or ethics rules as part of an effort to conceal an affair with the wife of an aide…” The former staffer, Douglas Hampton, began to lobby Mr. Ensign’s office immediately upon leaving his congressional job, despite the fact that he was subject to a one-year lobbying ban. Ensign seems to have ignored the law and allowed Hampton lobbying access to his office as a payment for his silence about the affair. (These are potentially criminal offenses.) It looks as if Ensign misused his public office (and taxpayer resources) to cover up his sexual shenanigans.

3. Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA): Judicial Watch is investigating a $12 million TARP cash injection provided to the Boston-based OneUnited Bank at the urging of Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank. As reported in the January 22, 2009, edition of the Wall Street Journal, the Treasury Department indicated it would only provide funds to healthy banks to jump-start lending. Not only was OneUnited Bank in massive financial turmoil, but it was also “under attack from its regulators for allegations of poor lending practices and executive-pay abuses, including owning a Porsche for its executives’ use.” Rep. Frank admitted he spoke to a “federal regulator,” and Treasury granted the funds. (The bank continues to flounder despite Frank’s intervention for federal dollars.) Moreover, Judicial Watch uncovered documents in 2009 that showed that members of Congress for years were aware that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were playing fast and loose with accounting issues, risk assessment issues and executive compensation issues, even as liberals led by Rep. Frank continued to block attempts to rein in the two Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs). For example, during a hearing on September 10, 2003, before the House Committee on Financial Services considering a Bush administration proposal to further regulate Fannie and Freddie, Rep. Frank stated: “I want to begin by saying that I am glad to consider the legislation, but I do not think we are facing any kind of a crisis. That is, in my view, the two Government Sponsored Enterprises we are talking about here, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not in a crisis. We have recently had an accounting problem with Freddie Mac that has led to people being dismissed, as appears to be appropriate. I do not think at this point there is a problem with a threat to the Treasury.” Frank received $42,350 in campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac between 1989 and 2008. Frank also engaged in a relationship with a Fannie Mae Executive while serving on the House Banking Committee, which has jurisdiction over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

4. Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner: In 2009, Obama Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner admitted that he failed to pay $34,000 in Social Security and Medicare taxes from 2001-2004 on his lucrative salary at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), an organization with 185 member countries that oversees the global financial system. (Did we mention Geithner now runs the IRS?) It wasn’t until President Obama tapped Geithner to head the Treasury Department that he paid back most of the money, although the IRS kindly waived the hefty penalties. In March 2009, Geithner also came under fire for his handling of the AIG bonus scandal, where the company used $165 million of its bailout funds to pay out executive bonuses, resulting in a massive public backlash. Of course as head of the New York Federal Reserve, Geithner helped craft the AIG deal in September 2008. However, when the AIG scandal broke, Geithner claimed he knew nothing of the bonuses until March 10, 2009. The timing is important. According to CNN: “Although Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told congressional leaders on Tuesday that he learned of AIG’s impending $160 million bonus payments to members of its troubled financial-products unit on March 10, sources tell TIME that the New York Federal Reserve informed Treasury staff that the payments were imminent on Feb. 28. That is ten days before Treasury staffers say they first learned ‘full details’ of the bonus plan, and three days before the [Obama] Administration launched a new $30 billion infusion of cash for AIG.” Throw in another embarrassing disclosure in 2009 that Geithner employed “household help” ineligible to work in the United States, and it becomes clear why the Treasury Secretary has earned a spot on the “Ten Most Corrupt Politicians in Washington” list.

5. Attorney General Eric Holder: Tim Geithner can be sure he won’t be hounded about his tax-dodging by his colleague Eric Holder, US Attorney General. Judicial Watch strongly opposed Holder because of his terrible ethics record, which includes: obstructing an FBI investigation of the theft of nuclear secrets from Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratory; rejecting multiple requests for an independent counsel to investigate alleged fund raising abuses by then-Vice President Al Gore in the Clinton White House; undermining the criminal investigation of President Clinton by Kenneth Starr in the midst of the Lewinsky investigation; and planning the violent raid to seize then-six-year-old Elian Gonzalez at gunpoint in order to return him to Castro’s Cuba. Moreover, there is his soft record on terrorism. Holder bypassed Justice Department procedures to push through Bill Clinton’s scandalous presidential pardons and commutations, including for 16 members of FALN, a violent Puerto Rican terrorist group that orchestrated approximately 120 bombings in the United States, killing at least six people and permanently maiming dozens of others, including law enforcement officers. His record in the current administration is no better. As he did during the Clinton administration, Holder continues to ignore serious incidents of corruption that could impact his political bosses at the White House. For example, Holder has refused to investigate charges that the Obama political machine traded VIP access to the White House in exchange for campaign contributions – a scheme eerily similar to one hatched by Holder’s former boss, Bill Clinton in the 1990s. The Holder Justice Department also came under fire for dropping a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party. On Election Day 2008, Black Panthers dressed in paramilitary garb threatened voters as they approached polling stations. Holder has also failed to initiate a comprehensive Justice investigation of the notorious organization ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), which is closely tied to President Obama. There were allegedly more than 400,000 fraudulent ACORN voter registrations in the 2008 campaign. And then there were the journalist videos catching ACORN Housing workers advising undercover reporters on how to evade tax, immigration, and child prostitution laws. Holder’s controversial decisions on new rights for terrorists and his attacks on previous efforts to combat terrorism remind many of the fact that his former law firm has provided and continues to provide pro-bono representation to terrorists at Guantanamo Bay. Holder’s politicization of the Justice Department makes one long for the days of Alberto Gonzales.

6. Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D-IL)/ Senator Roland Burris (D-IL): One of the most serious scandals of 2009 involved a scheme by former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich to sell President Obama’s then-vacant Senate seat to the highest bidder. Two men caught smack dab in the middle of the scandal: Senator Roland Burris, who ultimately got the job, and Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, emissaries for Jesse Jackson Jr., named “Senate Candidate A” in the Blagojevich indictment, reportedly offered $1.5 million to Blagojevich during a fundraiser if he named Jackson Jr. to Obama’s seat. Three days later federal authorities arrested Blagojevich. Burris, for his part, apparently lied about his contacts with Blagojevich, who was arrested in December 2008 for trying to sell Obama’s Senate seat. According to Reuters: “Roland Burris came under fresh scrutiny…after disclosing he tried to raise money for the disgraced former Illinois governor who named him to the U.S. Senate seat once held by President Barack Obama…In the latest of those admissions, Burris said he looked into mounting a fundraiser for Rod Blagojevich — later charged with trying to sell Obama’s Senate seat — at the same time he was expressing interest to the then-governor’s aides about his desire to be appointed.” Burris changed his story five times regarding his contacts with Blagojevich prior to the Illinois governor appointing him to the U.S. Senate. Three of those changing explanations came under oath.

7. pRresident Barack Obama: During his presidential campaign, President Obama promised to run an ethical and transparent administration. However, in his first year in office, the President has delivered corruption and secrecy, bringing Chicago-style political corruption to the White House. Consider just a few Obama administration “lowlights” from year one: Even before President Obama was sworn into office, he was interviewed by the FBI for a criminal investigation of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s scheme to sell the President’s former Senate seat to the highest bidder. (Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and slumlord Valerie Jarrett, both from Chicago, are also tangled up in the Blagojevich scandal.) Moreover, the Obama administration made the startling claim that the Privacy Act does not apply to the White House. The Obama White House believes it can violate the privacy rights of American citizens without any legal consequences or accountability. President Obama boldly proclaimed that “transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency,” but his administration is addicted to secrecy, stonewalling far too many of Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act requests and is refusing to make public White House visitor logs as federal law requires. The Obama administration turned the National Endowment of the Arts (as well as the agency that runs the AmeriCorps program) into propaganda machines, using tax dollars to persuade “artists” to promote the Obama agenda. According to documents uncovered by Judicial Watch, the idea emerged as a direct result of the Obama campaign and enjoyed White House approval and participation. President Obama has installed a record number of “czars” in positions of power. Too many of these individuals are leftist radicals who answer to no one but the president. And too many of the czars are not subject to Senate confirmation (which raises serious constitutional questions). Under the President’s bailout schemes, the federal government continues to appropriate or control — through fiat and threats — large sectors of the private economy, prompting conservative columnist George Will to write: “The administration’s central activity — the political allocation of wealth and opportunity — is not merely susceptible to corruption, it is corruption.” Government-run healthcare and car companies, White House coercion, uninvestigated ACORN corruption, debasing his office to help Chicago cronies, attacks on conservative media and the private sector, unprecedented and dangerous new rights for terrorists, perks for campaign donors – this is Obama’s “ethics” record — and we haven’t even gotten through the first year of his presidency.

8. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA): At the heart of the corruption problem in Washington is a sense of entitlement. Politicians believe laws and rules (even the U.S. Constitution) apply to the rest of us but not to them. Case in point: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her excessive and boorish demands for military travel. Judicial Watch obtained documents from the Pentagon in 2008 that suggest Pelosi has been treating the Air Force like her own personal airline. These documents, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, include internal Pentagon email correspondence detailing attempts by Pentagon staff to accommodate Pelosi’s numerous requests for military escorts and military aircraft as well as the speaker’s 11th hour cancellations and changes. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also came under fire in April 2009, when she claimed she was never briefed about the CIA’s use of the waterboarding technique during terrorism investigations. The CIA produced a report documenting a briefing with Pelosi on September 4, 2002, that suggests otherwise. Judicial Watch also obtained documents, including a CIA Inspector General report, which further confirmed that Congress was fully briefed on the enhanced interrogation techniques. Aside from her own personal transgressions, Nancy Pelosi has ignored serious incidents of corruption within her own party, including many of the individuals on this list. (See Rangel, Murtha, Jesse Jackson, Jr., etc.)

9. Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) and the rest of the PMA Seven: Rep. John Murtha made headlines in 2009 for all the wrong reasons. The Pennsylvania congressman is under federal investigation for his corrupt relationship with the now-defunct defense lobbyist PMA Group. PMA, founded by a former Murtha associate, has been the congressman’s largest campaign contributor. Since 2002, Murtha has raised $1.7 million from PMA and its clients. And what did PMA and its clients receive from Murtha in return for their generosity? Earmarks — tens of millions of dollars in earmarks. In fact, even with all of the attention surrounding his alleged influence peddling, Murtha kept at it. Following an FBI raid of PMA’s offices earlier in 2009, Murtha continued to seek congressional earmarks for PMA clients, while also hitting them up for campaign contributions. According to The Hill, in April, “Murtha reported receiving contributions from three former PMA clients for whom he requested earmarks in the pending appropriations bills.” When it comes to the PMA scandal, Murtha is not alone. As many as six other Members of Congress are currently under scrutiny according to The Washington Post. They include: Peter J. Visclosky (D-IN.), James P. Moran Jr. (D-VA), Norm Dicks (D-WA.), Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), C.W. Bill Young (R-FL.) and Todd Tiahrt (R-KS.). Of course rather than investigate this serious scandal, according to Roll Call House Democrats circled the wagons, “cobbling together a defense to offer political cover to their rank and file.” The Washington Post also reported in 2009 that Murtha’s nephew received $4 million in Defense Department no-bid contracts: “Newly obtained documents…show Robert Murtha mentioning his influential family connection as leverage in his business dealings and holding unusual power with the military.”

update:  ethics trial in sept. or oct. 2010

10. Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY): Rangel, the man in charge of writing tax policy for the entire country, has yet to adequately explain how he could possibly “forget” to pay taxes on $75,000 in rental income he earned from his off-shore rental property. He also faces allegations that he improperly used his influence to maintain ownership of highly coveted rent-controlled apartments in Harlem, and misused his congressional office to fund raise for his private Rangel Center by preserving a tax loophole for an oil drilling company in exchange for funding. On top of all that, Rangel recently amended his financial disclosure reports, which doubled his reported wealth. (He somehow “forgot” about $1 million in assets.) And what did he do when the House Ethics Committee started looking into all of this? He apparently resorted to making “campaign contributions” to dig his way out of trouble. According to WCBS TV, a New York CBS affiliate: “The reigning member of Congress’ top tax committee is apparently ‘wrangling’ other politicos to get him out of his own financial and tax troubles…Since ethics probes began last year the 79-year-old congressman has given campaign donations to 119 members of Congress, including three of the five Democrats on the House Ethics Committee who are charged with investigating him.” Charlie Rangel should not be allowed to remain in Congress, let alone serve as Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, and he knows it. That’s why he felt the need to disburse campaign contributions to Ethics Committee members and other congressional colleagues.

  1. Wow, some of these corrupt politicians appear to be traitors to our Constitution. The one with the cig, his description comes across as menacing and extremely dangerous.
I read somewhere that this guy conducts business on a blackberry and all the correspondence is protected and exempted information.

  2. What we have come to expect in a crisis from Obama…Nothing. There are always 3 – 4 days of silence while “they” try to figure out the best spin or lie. Apparently, they didn’t pack the teleprompter and had to purchase a new one for the 4 or 5 sentences of nothingness that he uttered and stammered. After a round of golf, he finally addressed the nation. His priorities are not the nations priorities. As they are scrambling to cover themselves in their blatant disregard for the concerned citizens, they blame the Bush administration. Who will believe that now? Anyone?

    An Absentee and Complacent President
    Dec.28th, 2009 Snips

By now, you’ve heard the news. On Christmas Day, a 23-year-old Nigerian named Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab tried to blow a full Northwest Airlines jet out of the air above Detroit. The only events that stopped this from happening were courageous passengers and a faulty explosive device. If either one of these two events had not taken place, nearly 300 passengers and crew would be dead, and immeasurable collateral damage would have occurred on the ground in Michigan. What you did not hear between this attempted attack on our nation and 3:00 pm EST today, was President Obama’s voice. Over 72 hours; almost three days later.

During this time period, the world also witnessed something equally distressing. Thousands of Iranians took to the streets demanding a regime-change in their own country. Of course, the current Iranian regime is not only trying to fast track its way towards a nuclear weapon, but also is the major benefactor of the attacks our troops face in neighboring Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a brutal regime with no regards for the safety of its own people, yet alone ours. Freedom fighters are dying in the streets hearing the sounds of gunfire, tear gas and chaos. What they have not heard is the sound of President Obama’s voice. Not until 3:00 pm today, and even then, it was just a whisper.

But the Office of the President bears some extra responsibility and yes, burden. As former White House Deputy Press Secretary Scott Stanzel astutely points out, this was a president who was woken from sleep at 6:00 am to learn he had won the Nobel Peace Prize but wasn’t even informed of this attack on our homeland for over two hours. And if anyone knows the President’s priorities, it is his closest advisors.

The attack occurred. By the time the President spoke, the nation knew the terrorist’s name, his background, his father’s background, a sect of Al Qaeda had already claimed responsibility (the validity to that claim uncertain), and we knew every detail of what physically occurred aboard flight 253. There was little mystery to panic over except whether another attack was imminent. And if President Obama was actually concerned about the spread of Al Qaeda propaganda, he would not be giving Khalid Sheikh Mohammed a show trial in New York City, when the end result — regardless of conviction – is indefinite detention. A trial Abdulmutallab is likely to recieve as well.

Of course, this past year, the President has not given Americans any further proof that he takes the War on Terrorism seriously, or the role of American leadership. Engaging usually meant apologizing. War on Terror became a Contingency Operation. Military tribunals became constitutional rights for non-American enemy combatants. The CIA became a convenient target rather than a critical weapon. When protesters died in the streets of Tehran, he was silent

    • While Obama golfed, a “fierce battle” went on in the White House amongst staffers over whether or not to admit publicly that the system failed.

This would be like FDR’s staff debating, on Dec. 8, 1941, whether or not to admit that the US was attacked at Pearl Harbor.

They do so believe that people will continue to believe what they say instead of what people see with their own eyes.

Hey, Barry. This is the REAL world, not LaLaLand. And We the People are NOT stupid, no matter what you believe.

      • Miri,

The battle over which lie to tell! Amazing. I was in the car and heard the real reason for their silence..as if we wouldn’t find out. The Director or Head person for the Transportation Safety Authority has never been confirmed. .there is no one heading up the TSA. The nominee they wanted was put forward at the end of August..8 months after being in office. Nothing else has been done. Also the Dems wanted a secret vote so no arguments about him or his policies could be presented. Those Republicans questioning him wanted a guarantee that he wouldn’t try to unionize the department…as it would compromise the safety of the US if employees if they had to get decisions approved through Union bosses. That is as far as it went! Reid was too involved in healthcare! Now they are playing CYA …distract and blame. What an incompetent bunch of boobs..putting our nation’s safety AFTER healthcare, cap and trade, apology tours, Olympic bid, Copenhagen, Stimulus to pay back the dems, and ambassadorships as payback to their donors!

        • Well, that makes sense now, doesn’t it? Just like how he’s suddenly going to table health reform until February because his polls are tanking–he’s going to do a big push for “jobs” and the “economy”, which will simply mean more redistribution. After all, he did just hand billions more to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, so We the People can pay all the losers’ mortgages for them.

Isn’t it special how he doesn’t give a rip about jobs or the economy until it affects him personally? Suddenly nobody in his camp gives a rip about the millions suffering without health care. Supposedly, 40,000 die a year without health insurance. So, putting it off until February, how many will die while he’s bringing his poll numbers up? (Not that I believe their bullcrap about people dying in the street.)

They know how bad all of them are doing with the people. McCaskill said in an interview that she doesn’t care if she’s not re-elected. As if we believe that line of crap. But she knows how her votes are being received, and it ain’t pretty.

Of course they want to unionize everything they can. Who’s the nominee, anyway? Another commie? Oh, let me guess. A Muslim immigrant from Saudi Arabia?

One benefit to having nobody at the head of TSA, they don’t have to bother throwing anybody under the bus.

Obama’s been in office for a year, but now he gets around to reviewing security procedures and watch lists.

The poor thing is SO tired. Don’t you feel for him? btw, did you get a load of those plastic beach slides? Oooooh. How manly. Makes my heart go pitter pat.

I’ve been looking hard for that big scar that he’s supposed to have on his arm. Has anybody seen it?

Thinking about the “Undie-bomber” and future crotch inspections for suspicious lumps, isn’t it a good thing MO flies private jet?

        • I wish I could remembered where I saw it, but there is an email that the nominee sent (I can’t remember which union) to a union “boss” and basically said he looked forward to their relationship after confirmation.

    • After the Shoe Bomber, we have to remove our shoes when flying
Now we have the Crotch Bomber! Please remove your Undies for take off !

Re-Learning the Lessons from the Thwarted Detroit Airline Bombing

Desperate to defect attention away from Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano’s “the system worked” comments, the left in Congress is attempting to blame conservatives for the attempted Christmas Day Flight 253 bombing. Democrats charge that leading conservatives voted against $4 billion for “screening operations” including $1.1 billion in funding for explosives detection systems. Leaving aside the fact that bomb detection in U.S. airports would have done nothing to stop a bomber who boarded planes in Ghana and Amsterdam, the left’s attack shows just how off base their approach to national security is.

  4. Holder, why would you transfer a veteran attorney for wanting to do the right thing and prosecute the Black Panthers? I guess it depends which side of the law you are on..lawful or lawless. Holder, you represent the slimy, dirty, lawless side. .

Justice transfers Panthers pursuer out of D.C. office
    Dec. 29, 2009

The veteran Justice Department voting rights section chief who recommended going forward on a civil complaint against members of the New Black Panther Party after they disrupted a Pennsylvania polling place in last year’s elections has been removed from his post and transferred to the U.S. attorney’s office in South Carolina.

Justice Department spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler said ” the decision to move Mr. Coates to a new position within the department had nothing to do with the New Black Panther Party case….”

  5. The 2 attempts were fixed, just like the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Usurper didn’t need to be informed as he apparently knew about it.

Wonder what the plan is. Hmmmm. Probably didn’t plan on the American couple on board the flight to give us an eyewitness report.

Anybody hear about the whereabouts of the Lockerbie Bomber? Last I read he was missing.

  6. From http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091230/ap_on_re_us/us_airliner_attack_obama

“Senior U.S. officials told The Associated Press that intelligence authorities are now looking at conversations between the suspect in the failed attack and at least one al-Qaida member. They did not say how these communications with the suspect, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, took place — by Internet, cell phone or another method.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters, said the conversations were vague or coded, but the intelligence community believes that, in hindsight, the communications may have been referring to the Detroit attack. One official said a link between the suspect’s planning and al-Qaida’s goals was becoming more clear.

Intelligence officials would not confirm whether those conversations involved Yemen-based radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, but other U.S. government officials said there were initial indications that he was involved. Al-Awlaki reportedly corresponded by e-mail with Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who is charged with killing 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas, on Nov. 5.”

Connected to Hasan. Can you believe this? And of course, if Obama blames anyone, he’s going to blame the intelligence community. Yet isn’t he one of those who wouldn’t accept that GWB got crappy intel from the so-called “intelligence” community?

  7. From the yahoo story: “Had this critical information been shared, it could have been compiled with other intelligence, and a fuller, clearer picture of the suspect would have emerged,” Obama said in a brief statement to the media. “The warning signs would have triggered red flags, and the suspect would have never been allowed to board that plane for America. . . . Obama’s statement showed more fire than he had shown previously about the lapses.”

Sure it did. It’s personal now. How dare they make Obama look bad? Who cares about nearly 300 lives? What’s important is not making the messiah look like the twap that he is.

  8. “Had this critical information been shared, it could have been compiled with other intelligence, and a fuller, clearer picture of the suspect would have emerged,” Obama said in a brief statement to the media. “The warning signs would have triggered red flags, and the suspect would have never been allowed to board that plane for America. . . . Obama’s statement showed more fire than he had shown previously about the lapses.”

I just had to repeat that. Doesn’t this sound like Dick Cheney talking, after 9/11? You know, when they decried how they might have stopped the attacks had Clinton and his pals not tied the hands of the intelligence community? You know what Obama’s doing, don’t you? Trying to sound tough to push those poll numbers back up. Maybe the whole thing is a stunt, to give him something to act presidential over. He knows how people rallied around Bush after 9/11. Is he trying to repeat history, even going so far as to paraphrase George and Dick?

  9. Miri,
It’s early (and coffee is taking it’s sweet time!!) and I hope I phrase this correctly. Imagine the Clintons, Bush’s (Daddy & Jr) and the Obama’s all in a circle holding hand’s. Take all the information we have learned over the last 18 mos. what has happened during each presidency since daddy Bush and imagine all of it inside this circle, then begin to connect all the dot’s. ( It takes lot’s of research, belive me!) I may p/o some with this remark, but after much, much research it is my conclusion and opinion. One reason why nothing is being done at any level of government to stop what is going on now. One day when I have the time I’d like to post an article here with link’s.

  10. Leza
Are you trying to say they are all in it together?
    I think not.
There are many reasons that this particular administration is still in power but collusion with the Bushs is not one of them.
We here know that many truths are working their way to the surface…….
The blind, deaf and dumb shall soon see…….

  11. Agree with you, AOne. Lots of people are “in this” for one reason or another. But none of them are on the level of That One. He’s a special case unto himself.

It’s all about him. He cares only for himself. He will pretend as if he cares for the safety and security of We the People of the USA, but only if it redounds to him in some personal way. He does NOT have any sympathy whatsoever for us. I don’t think he has any for anyone other than himself. It’s part of the syndrome.

  12. A Decade and Its Three Crises
    Dec. 30 Snips

The third crisis is the one that very few realize is happening. This may well be the crisis that defines the next decade: a government takeover of our lives.

Our largest manufacturing industry — automobiles — was taken over by the government, who took equity from investors who had advanced cash to the firms and then gave to the unions. The banking system was taken over after a crisis caused by government forcing banks to make bad loans to people who could not afford them. A pay czar is setting salary levels for businesses we have taken over and making salary “recommendations” for others.

The role of government in the economy has spiked. Government spending now represents 40% of the U.S. gross national product.

The Congress, directed by the president, is working to take over the health care system, despite the objections of the American people. The threat of this bill is more than simply controlling another 16% of the economy. The ObamaCare bill creates government control over our lifestyles, from what we eat to what we put in vending machines to when and how we die.

Our government is trying to control how we consume energy. They have prepared legislation which will control everything from transportation to creating a smart grid that will move the thermostat in our houses without our permission.

None of this — none — is supported by the Constitution that has kept us free for some 222 years.

The government is protecting groups such as ACORN and the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia — elements who are trying to suppress the power of the American people. It attacks whistle-blowers who try to protect our rights. AmeriCorps AG Gerald Walpin was fired by the POTUS. The “Pimp/Hooker” ACORN investigators, James O’Keefe III and Hannah Giles, have been “rewarded” with the threat of prosecution.

Such a future can be fought only by an American people who understand what’s happening and possess the will to fight it off. Hopefully the next decade will be called the Decade of Government by the People.

    • They’re working on taking over our Utilities, via Climate Control, formerly known as Global Warming formally known as Weather.

They are working to take over Education from PreSchool on. They are monkeying with textbooks and history.

They are working on demoralizing our Military as well as our Civil Services in the Police and Firefighters.

They are in the midst of upsetting the Penal System as well as bringing Terrorists into the system.

They are working on dismantling our Judicial Processes which is obvious.

They are working on invading our local political offices. They are working on a national civil security corps.

They are working on dismantling our election processes through rigged

They are working on taking over Free Speech, airwaves and the Internet.

They are working on our psyches by aiding and abetting and giving comfort to our enemies.

Take a real good look at the diagram on the blackboard in the picture of Barry teaching his expertise in such things.

The only thing they are not working on is taking over Sports and Entertainment and that is where the loot is. Probably so they will continue to have funding sources and influential mouthpieces.

They have mixed the 3 branches of our Government and polluted the hierarchy of the Presidential Cabinet.

They practiced Terror on the people of NYC without even having to explain.

They had a Terrorist on the Transition Team in the Office of the President-Elect.

Bots can lurk all they want. That’s what makes them sneaky which is rule #1.

  14. The Yemeni Front in the War on Terror
    December 30, 2009 Snips

One ominous report from a family on Flight 253 claimed that a strange man “videotaped the entire flight, including the attempted detonation. He sat up and videotaped the entire thing, very calmly. We do know the FBI is looking for him intensely. Since then, we’ve heard nothing of it.” Was he making an al-Qaeda training film?

The U.K. paper The Sun published an article claiming that Abdulmutallab bragged to FBI agents that twenty-five British-born Muslims are training in secret terror camps in Yemen for more attacks on airlines, hoping to kill tens of thousands of people. Given the lax security that led to the near-tragedy on Flight 253, it would seem only a matter of time before one succeeds.

The Yemeni breeding ground for future terrorists needs to be aggressively neutralized, whether or not it is politically correct to do so

    • Bridgette: Last night on GodTV, I watched the Morning Star New Year Conference with Lt. Gen.(Ret.) W.G. Boykin. (Army-36 yrs). LG Boykin spoke for an hour and related much of what all of us here already know. He did quote from a couple of documents that I had not heard of and that were quite chilling. When he was speaking of the Nigerian, I understood him to say that the CrotchBomber told FBI that over 200 were in training. For those of you with Direct TV, I believe it comes on again tonight at 12:30 am or you may can go to God.tv and view. It gives me comfort to know that someone with his background and reputation is on OUR side!!! This is a battle on every street in our great nation!

      • Here’s a laugh for the new year: I heard some “reporter” actually state that the WH is compiling a list of sites in Yemen in case they decide to retaliate. Right. Will this be like the bombing of the aspirin factory? Or more like lobbing a missile through the window at the Chinese embassy? I’ll believe retaliation when I see it.

  15. AOne,
Personal opinions are just that. Did I not include, after “much research” it is “MY’ personal opinion. Now, to call me a troll for that is just completey out of bound’s. Name calling gets us no where, Ahhhh, now research doe’s………doe’s it not?

    • Leza, I am with you on this. hoBo’s keynote speech in 2004 was no accident. The mere fact that he wasn’t exposed to begin with is key. They had plenty of time.

Patrick Fitzgerald glossed over all the crimes that were fresh and in plain sight.

They are in it together with slight degrees of differences of idealogy. Only one major difference, hoBO is anti-American and the others thought the citizenry would do their dirty work in rejecting this slob.
They fear him because he has SO MUCH on them. Its all relative, and I agree with you about this circle.

      • Anti -American and anti-Israelli
Extortion is much different than collusion
socialism/communism is much different than capitalism
We were kept safe for years….. Now the time has come to dismantle our CIA , FBI and the patriot act …….. Instead looks like we will get a domestic army of acornites and seiutes to protect us against those bloggers that are the real threat.
But , Papose you did say it like it is on a previos post which I totally agree with

        • AOne, I clicked to send to soon…I agree with you as well. I was voicing my opinion in that I believe the body of politicians are a pack of conniving, parasitic, bloodsucking leeches that scratching each others backs whilst they live high on the hog keeping one anothers transgressions secret. They are a pack of mudslinging pigs.

Name calling? What are you talking about? Who called You a name? We don’t put up with that here.
What research are you speaking of? did someone diss your research? I haven’t seen any of your research. Must have missed it. Did you post it here? What subject was ist on?

  18. Breaking news. Rush Limbaugh was rushed via ambulance to Queen’s Hospital in Hawaii with chest pains. They reported he was in serious condition. He either had been playing golf or was there to play.

Hopefully, he was at a different end of the Island and he didn’t meet up with the thugs.

  19. What a co-ink- i -dink that he should suddenly get sick in Hawaii but……
    I don’t believe in coincidences.

  20. A new article by Dianna Cotter, Portland Examiner, and information regarding Leo’s lawsuit is on the “Pending Legislation and Lawsuits” thread. The first case with the Chrysler dealers was filed, and the next one will be the Quo Warranto case being brought by the Chrysler Dealerships, which will directly challenge Barack Obama’s qualifications for the office he holds.

If that filing proves successful, it will result in the removal of a sitting President!

  21. Excellent ideas for what is needed next. A couple are: The ability to recall Senators, Reps and the President; countering stolen elections. An amendment to adopt the one subject rule at the federal level now in force in 47 states, which requires each bill to cover one subject. Term limits on Senators and Reps.

What is needed is fundamental change in our system of government to ensure that the people will remain in charge, and to pull the plug on the New Authoritarianism

  22. Iranian Mullah: Kill the Protesters Snips

(IsraelNN.com) In a television appearance shocking in its candidness, a leading Iranian ayatollah says that it would be far better for the Islamic Republic to simply murder those protesting against the regime, rather than arrest and beat them. Meanwhile, an unknown group claiming to represent Iranian soldiers threatens to take up arms against the regime.

Killing the opposition protesters, the ayatollah insists, “is sanctioned by obedience to Allah and the prophet and is handed down to the Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Khamenei]. When it is sanctioned by such a power, there is no need to go through the government powers.”

Armed Resistance by Iranian Military Units?
Perhaps in reaction to the increasing levels of violence by government forces, on December 26 a previously unknown anti-regime group calling itself the National Iranian Armed Resistance Forces (NIRU) “declare our readiness to rise to the armed defense of our nation against the forces of the criminal, illegitimate, transgressing and occupying current Government of Iran….”

    • Peachy, Did you read this comment below this article ? People are crazy if they send artists and atheletes to Iran now. Do they have ANY idea how tough that would be ? Do they have ANY idea how much danger these people would be in there ? Alot of things would have to happen there for Americans to be safe in Iran. Is it not a fact that most of their population is under the age of 30 ? That would be a big clue as to the situation in Iran. Where did they all go ?
      humph..(clearing throat)
They all RAN from IRAN…….Alot of them ran here. They would never move back there.
Ask a few what they think. You may be very surprised. Amazing ! comment is below….

Go to http://www.state.gov and use the search feature with the term ‘Iran’. Lots of information on the cultural exchange program that Hillary and Obama are pushing to send American athletes and artists to Iran. Not much about how the Secretary of State feels about Iranians being murdered in the streets by their own government

Conn. Sen. Chris Dodd to retire
    Jan 6

Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee Chairman Senator Chris Dodd Snips

WASHINGTON (AP) – Connecticut Sen. Christopher Dodd, a five-term Democrat whose political stock began falling after the financial meltdown and his failed 2008 presidential bid, has decided not to seek re-election in November, Democratic officials told The Associated Press early Wednesday.

Dodd, 66, is chairman of Senate Banking Committee, which was at the center of efforts to deal with the economic meltdown. And he has played a prominent role in the debate over overhauling health care, taking over for his friend Ted Kennedy during his illness and then after his death.

Given Dodd’s bad poll standing, other Democrats have gone out of their way to give him the spotlight in hopes he could recover before November.

Dodd, who has taken heat for a discounted VIP mortgage loan he got from a subprime lender, has been consistently behind potential GOP challenger Rob Simmons in Connecticut polls.

As chairman of the Senate banking panel, Dodd has come under fire for his reliance on Wall Street contributions. He drew criticism for his role in writing a bill that protected bonuses for executives at bailed-out insurer American International Group Inc., and for allegations he got favorable treatment on two mortgages with Countrywide Financial Corp.

The Senate ethics panel cleared Dodd of breaking rules by getting the Countrywide mortgages, but SCOLDED HIM for not doing more to avoid the appearance of sweetheart deals. The Countrywide controversy, however, dogged Dodd for several months.

  24. Good Ole Barney’s Work again. Why isn’t Chuck Schumer on this list? Why vote just once…Vote as many times as you want as long as you are on some list! Democrats facing a beating coming 2010 are orchestrating more votes in case ACORN won’t be available to help them out this time. UNIVERSAL VOTER REGISTRATION to include ILLEGALS, FELONS…and ANYONE WITH A DRIVER’S LICENSE!! They want to make what ACORN was doing illegally totally legal.

    Letting Crooks & Illegals vote
Democrats plan to manipulate elections with universal registration

Democrats have a political death wish. At least that’s how it looks. There’s no other explanation for their feverish push to take over the health care system when a huge majority of Americans are opposed to the plan. But facing an angry public, Democrats are scheming to find ways to manipulate the electoral process so they can cling to power even when voters want to kick the bums out.

Sen. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, and Rep. Barney Frank, Massachusetts Democrat, have plans to ram through legislation that will produce universal voter registration. No matter what they claim, the rule changes will make it possible for illegal aliens to register to vote and for others to register multiple times.

It speaks volumes about Democratic unpopularity that they have to look to criminals and illegal aliens to try to shore up their voting base.

    • Nice. They’re so thoughtful to even consider registering people to vote whether they wish to be registered or not.

What party affiliation will they select for their beneficiaries?

Maybe they should consider fining people who do not vote. Even jail if it becomes habitual.
Like the 3 strike rule. Maybe, even chop off fingers as an example to others who don’t make it to the polls at the designated date and time summoned. Say you’re in a coma or something, no worry, the government can just fill out an absentee ballot for you.

      • Papoose
I, for one , am in favor of the finger. It could be used for no good (as in giving the finger as opposed to getting the finger)
After all, what were we were given ten for?…….obviously to redistribute to those that have many to those who have few

  26. Jailed felons should be allowed to vote in Washington State, as stated in a 2-1 ruling by a 3 judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The State Attorney General Rob McKenna is weighing the state’s next step. An estimated 5.3 million nationwide are ineligible to vote due to a felony conviction.

  27. ga
This is like being in the twilight zone. There is no way this could hold up in fed court… But then again…. It is mind boggling !

    • Agreed AOne, this has felt like the Twilight Zone for much too long now! At least the episodes we used to watch would end after 30 minutes; one cannot imagine where 3 more years of this may take us!

  28. They backed Holder’s covering for the Black Panthers! Expect more of the same in the 2010 elections by letting them off the hook!

House Judiciary Committee Rejects Voter Intimidation Inquiry
    by Connie Hair

The House Judiciary Committee this week voted down a resolution of inquiry that would have required the Department of Justice (DOJ) to explain to Congress why it dismissed a voter intimidation case involving members of the New Black Panther Party at a polling place in Philadelphia in November 2008.

The measure, H. Res. 994, was defeated 15-14 on a straight party-line vote. Rep. Daniel Maffei (D-N.Y.) originally “passed” on his vote, but then changed to “no” to bring about the resolution’s defeat. Had the resolution gone through, it would have moved to the full House for a vote.

  29. The Lies of Obama
    Jan 21 Snips

But Barack Obama’s lies are far more corrosive and destructive, because they go the heart of legislation and governance, and so seriously undermine trust in government. His lies generally take a specific form: they attempt to persuade people to vote for him or his policies by categorically assuring them that they need not have the anxieties that they have been expressing. The lies say, essentially: trust me, support what I want, and I promise that what you fear will never happen. But in every case it soon becomes clear either that he knew perfectly well that what the public feared would in fact happen, or that he was giving a firm assurance that he was in no position to give, or that he had no intention of following through on his promise.

The accumulated weight of Obama’s deceit is overwhelming. Here is Ellis’ evidence . . . 30 Lies are listed

But when it happens again and again—and my 30 instances are by no means exhaustiveonly one judgment seems possible: this is the record of a habitual, shameless liar, a man who will say anything to get what he wants. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, goes the old saying. But scores of times? How shameful is that for our society when this disgraceful record is never the subject of a reproachful editorial in the New York Times, the Washington Post, or CBS news?

Obama evidently believes that he can solve any problem with a speech. But he really does not care whether what he says is true or not, nor does he feel any responsibility to honor the assurances and promises he makes. As a result, this nation is now in a position where it cannot believe a word that he says, and that amounts to an unprecedented crisis of confidence. Democratic government will atrophy if we allow lying on this scale to count as the business as usual of politics. When will the press and the Congress hold him accountable?

  30. Rep. Jack n(John) D – PA Murtha has died at the age of 77. He had been suffering from complications from a gall bladder operation. This is one of the 10 most corrupt who won’t have to face charges from his many dealings. He will have to face his Maker for judgment though. Wonder who will be using that new airport now.

Rep. John Murtha, Iraq war critic, dies at 77
    Feb 8 02:55 PM US/Eastern

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – U.S. Rep. John Murtha, an influential critic of the Iraq War whose congressional career was shadowed by questions about his ethics, died Monday. He was 77.

The Pennsylvania Democrat had been suffering complications from gallbladder surgery. He died at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va., spokesman Matthew Mazonkey said.

    • Rut row…..Will PA send another message to the WH?

John Murtha dies, special election looms

The death of longtime Pennsylvania Rep. John Murtha (D) this afternoon will set off a special election in his very competitive western Pennsylvania 12th district. According to state law, the governor has ten days once the vacancy is officially declared to decide on the date for the special election, which can come no sooner than 60 days following that proclamation.

That likely means the special election will be held on May 18, which is the date already set for federal primaries around the state. (Special elections costs the state huge sums of money and it’s likely that Gov. Ed Rendell will choose to go with an already established election day to save some cash.)

Murtha’s passing comes at a tenuous time for House Democrats …

  31. Holder admits nine Obama Dept. of Justice officials worked for terrorist detainees, offers no details
    By: Byron York
    02/19/10 3:52 PM EST

Attorney General Eric Holder says nine Obama appointees in the Justice Department have represented or advocated for terrorist detainees before joining the Justice Department. But he does not reveal any names beyond the two officials whose work has already been publicly reported. And all the lawyers, according to Holder, are eligible to work on general detainee matters, even if there are specific parts of some cases they cannot be involved in.

Holder’s admission comes in the form of an answer to a question posed last November by Republican Sen. Charles Grassley. Noting that one Obama appointee, Principal Deputy Solicitor General Neal Katyal, formerly represented Osama bin Laden’s driver, and another appointee, Jennifer Daskal, previously advocated for detainees at Human Rights Watch, Grassley asked Holder to give the Senate Judiciary Committee “the names of political appointees in your department who represent detainees or who work for organizations advocating on their behalf…the cases or projects that these appointees work with respect to detainee prior to joining the Justice Department…and the cases or projects relating to detainees that have worked on since joining the Justice Department.”

In his response, Holder has given Grassley almost nothing. He says nine Obama political appointees at the Justice Department have advocated on behalf of detainees, but did not identify any of the nine other than the two, Katyal and Daskal, whose names Grassley already knew. “To the best of our knowledge,” Holder writes, during their employment prior to joining the government, only five of the lawyers who serve as political appointees in those components represented detainees, and four others either contributed to amicus briefs in detainee-related cases or were otherwise involved in advocacy on behalf of detainees.

Holder says other Obama appointees, like Holder himself, came from law firms which represented detainees but did no work on behalf of the terrorist prisoners. But other than Katyal and Daskal, Holder does not reveal any names of any Obama appointees, nor does he mention the cases they worked on.

And what are they recused from, anyway? Very little. Holder writes that Katyal has not worked on any Guantanamo detainee matters but has participated in litigation involving detainees who continue to be detained at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan and in litigation involving [Ali Saleh Kahlah] al-Marri, who was detained on U.S. soil.” As for Daskal, “she has generally worked on policy issues related to detainees,” Holder writes. “Her detainee-related work has been fully consistent with advice she received from career department officials regarding her obligations.”

As for everyone else, Holder lists no names and no cases, but in a paragraph filled with modifiers, he makes it clear that all the lawyers who had advocated for detainees are free to work on general detainee matters.

The senior Department officials referenced above, like other political appointees who are similarly situated, have recused from particular matters regarding specific detainees in which their former firms represent the detainee or another party and from decisions relating specifically to the dispositions of particular detainees represented by their former firms. These recusals pertain to decisions relating to particular matters involving specific parties who are or have been represented by their former law firms within the relevant time period. However, as noted above, these senior officials have been authorized to participate in policy and legal decisions regarding detainee matters, in particular matters regarding specific detainees whom their prior employer did not represent, and in decisions relating to the disposition of such detainees.

Finally, it is possible that there are more than nine political appointees who worked for detainees. Holder tells Grassley that he did not survey the Justice Department as a whole but instead canvassed several large offices within the organization.

Bottom line: Holder revealed no names beyond the two already publicly known. He revealed no cases from which Justice political appointees recused themselves. The letter, which will likely be interpreted on Capitol Hill as a thumb-your-nose statement, is sure to anger Republican senators more than satisfy them.

  32. Head of IMF Proposes New Reserve Currency

IMF’s Strauss-Kahn suggests IMF may one day provide global reserve asset

    The Associated Press

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the head of the International Monetary Fund, suggested Friday the organization might one day be called on to provide countries with a global reserve currency that would serve as an alternative to the U.S. dollar.

“That day has not yet come, but I think it is intellectually healthy to explore these kinds of ideas now,” he said in a speech on the future mandate of the 186-nation Washington-based lending organization.

Strauss-Kahn said such an asset could be similar to but distinctly different from the IMF’s special drawing rights, or SDRs, the accounting unit that countries use to hold funds within the IMF. It is based on a basket of major currencies.

He said having other alternatives to the dollar “would limit the extent to which the international monetary system as a whole depends on the policies and conditions of a single, albeit dominant, country.”

Strauss-Kahn, a former finance minister of France, said that during the recent global financial crisis, the dollar “played its role as a safe haven” asset, and the current international monetary system demonstrated resilience.

“The challenge ahead is to find ways to limit the tension arising from the high demand for precautionary reserves on the one hand and the narrow supply of reserves on the other,” he said.

Several countries, including China and Russia, have called for an alternative to the dollar as a reserve currency and have suggested using the IMF’s internal accounting unit.

Strauss-Kahn said the IMF also needs to do a better job of tracing how risk percolates through the global economy.

“Here it will be essential to improve our ability to monitor several dozen large complex financial institutions that make up the `plumbing’ through which global capital flows,” he said, while leaving national regulators the job of monitoring the solvency of individual institutions.

    ~~~I believe they call this “conditioning” !!!
    We are already under global governance. It is just a matter of time before soooo many things will change!
    • you are so right JojaPeach, conditioning and global governance . This is pretty much what those bankers that met on Jeckyl Island said before they created the Federal reserve. They needed to be able to monitor the banks and flow of capital so they then took it upon themselves to be the monitors. Just a matter of precious time is soooo right.
      • In light of that story, I can understand better the suspicions that he was set up on the sex scandal. I can also understand the temptation to do it. Don’t mess with the USA, DSK. 🙂
