The Obama administration spends and spends and spends. The Obama administration borrows and borrows and borrows to spend more. Why? Because it’s not Obama’s money being spent. It’s your money.
Obama’s not on the hook to pay back the loans. YOU and your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are going to be dinged for the debts that the profligate Obama administration has run up.
No business would ever hire a “nonessential employee.” That’s a no-brainer. Would you hire a nonessential employee and pay him with your own money?
Our government apparently hires and pays hundreds of thousands of nonessential employees. This, we’ve learned from the government shutdown. How much do you miss them? Enough to keep your descendants in debt for generations?
What’s a nonessential government employee, anyway? If the job is nonessential, then it should be cut, as Obama promised to do when, during his first campaign over 5 years ago, he promised to go through the budget “line by line” and cut waste.
Can our debt-ridden government afford even one nonessential employee?
Every job, every department, every program should be essential, or else it should not exist.
Ted Cruz and his Tea Party cohorts, who are trying to bring fiscal sanity to our government, may have lost this particular battle; however, they haven’t yet lost the war.
Come next year, We the People of the United States of America must elect more fiscal conservatives–constitutional conservatives–to BOTH houses of Congress.
Raising the debt limit time and again is no way to run a government. If you had maxed out your own credit card, what would you do?
(1) Cut back on nonessentials and live within your means, OR
(2) beg (nay, threaten) the credit card company to raise your credit limit yet again, with no end in sight and no sign of any intention to pay back the overwhelming debt that you’ve already incurred?
If the Harry Reid “compromise” gets through, then all nonessentials will soon be reporting for “duty”. The National Park Service can remove the Barrycades. In the meantime, Speaker Boehner should have more time to spend with his family.

Dick Cheney talks of terrorist heart attacks?
“Dick Cheney says his current health is “a miracle” in a frank discussion of the heart disease he suffered over his entire political career and especially when he served as the vice president. In his first interview about his new book, “Heart,” he speaks to Dr. Sanjay Gupta, discussing for the first time the revelation that the defibrillator implanted in his chest could be used by terrorists to kill him and was altered to prevent that. Cheney’s 60 Minutes interview will be broadcast Sunday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Before he had a heart transplant 20 months ago, Cheney was a seriously ill man who had undergone several life-saving procedures, including the implantation of a defibrillator. Cheney had that replaced in 2007 and his doctor, cardiologist Jonathan Reiner, with whom he wrote the book, had the device’s wireless function disabled so a terrorist couldn’t send his heart a fatal shock. Some years later, Cheney was watching an episode of the SHOWTIME hit “Homeland,” in which that terrorist scenario was woven into the plot. “I was aware of the danger…that existed…I found it credible,” he responds to Gupta when asked what went through his mind. “I know from the experience we had and the necessity for adjusting my own device, that it was an accurate portrayal of what was possible,” says Cheney.”
