Obama and Ethics – What an Unlikely Combination!

Who Cut Down the Cherry Tree?

Anybody else, but me.  Anybody else, but me!

Who would ever  think of  using and combining  these two words “Obama” and “Ethics” within the same sentence?    They certainly wouldn’t be used to convey honesty or integrity.   It would need to be  a joke, right?  No, indeed this is not a joke.  Following are the words of a narcissistic man whose normal actions and words convey quite the opposite of how he wants people to view him.

This is definitely  one for the history books!  Until you read this, you won’t believe these words really flow from the usurper’s mouth.  We’d say that he most likely didn’t pass the class, even though he says that he thinks about ethical issues everyday as he leads our country… astray!  He probably thinks about this every morning like he thinks about jobs upon awaking  in the morning.

Anyone else ever have an ethics class in 8th grade?  Jay Carey will most likely have to reclarify that grade level for the naturally inquisitive reporters.  We can expect him to say once again, it was  another lie err “misspeak”  by honest Barry.   Obama isn’t exactly in the “Honest Abe” class…not even close.   And cherry trees need not be concerned with Obama either.   Can you imagine asking Obama if he chopped down that cherry tree at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?  His  answer?   Bush did it!

(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama told an audience of high school students  in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday that he was “not always the very best student” and that ethics “would not have made it on the list” of his favorite subjects.

Obama:   ‘I Don’t Think Ethics’ Was My Favorite Subject

(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama told an audience of high school students in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday that he was “not always the very best student” and that ethics “would not have made it on the list” of his favorite subjects.

“I was not always the very best student that I could be when I was in high school, and certainly not when I was in middle school,”   Obama said, speaking at Benjamin Banneker Academic High School.

“I did not love every class I took.   I wasn’t always paying attention the way I should have,” Obama said.

“I remember when I was in 8th grade I had to take a class called ethics. Now, ethics is about right and wrong, but if you’d ask me what my favorite subject was back in 8th grade, it was basketball. I don’t think ethics would have made it on the list.”

Obama went on to tell the high school students that even though that 8th grade ethics class was not one of his favorites it did have a significant impact on his life—and now inspires the way he acts as president.

“I still remember that ethics class, all these years later,”  Obama said. “I remember the way it made me think. I remember being asked questions like: What matters in life? Or, what does it mean to treat other people with dignity and respect? What does it mean to live in a diverse nation, where not everybody looks like you do, or thinks like you do, or comes from the same neighborhood as you do? How do we figure out how to get along?

“Each of these questions led to new questions,” said Obama. “And I didn’t always know the right answers, but those discussions and that process of discovery–those things have lasted. Those things are still with me today. Every day, I’m thinking about those same issues as I try to lead this nation.”

Obama attended 5th through 12th grade at the Punahou School in Hawaii. The K-12 school describes itself as “an independent college preparatory day school.”  On its website, it cites as the first element of its mission:

“To provide an environment where students can:   Develop moral and spiritual values consistent with the Christian principles on which Punahou was founded, affirming the worth and dignity of each individual.”

The Benjamin Banneker Academic High School where Obama spoke about the ethics he was taught in 8th grade at his private college preparatory school is a public school.

One has to wonder if he was reading from his teleprompter or winging it.  Such an inspiration!  His message, “Screw up, and don’t worry about it.  Look where I am now, and I didn’t pay attention in class.  If you are lucky,  you can grow up to be like me. ”

Hey kids, our suggestions for you.  Look for a mentor or hero with character and whose life and friends reflect the person.  They will be honest, trustworthy and have integrity.  They will be honorable, and they will know the difference between right and wrong.  The person  that spoke to you is not that person.   He is the antithesis of such a person.

Pssst….The man you listened to did cut down the cherry tree!

“I was not always the very best student that I could be when I was in high school…”

First off, he went to Occidental College out of high school. It’s a quality small school that doesn’t accept mediocre high school students (that Obama claimed to be) unless they have “help” of the affirmative action type.

Columbia wouldn’t disregard a normal transfer student’s crummy high school grades and SAT scores even if he suddenly happened to excel in his first two years in college. So again, when Obama transferred to Columbia, he needed “help” to get in.

Finally, we know he didn’t graduate Columbia with honors, and that pretty much everyone who gets into Harvard Law (when he attended) graduates magna cum laude or better, so he needed even more “help”.

So even if he did improve as a student over the years, affirmative action was still needed each step of the way.

Wait–Obama wrote as much at Harvard Law:

Now where did you take basketball class when you were in 8th grade again? and what name did you use then? I am sure it wasn’t Soebarkah.

  3. Seems I recall Obama attending another school that taught ethics and right from wrong, years after leaving Hawaii and migrating to Chicago Illinois. One of the days lessons in that last school began with a question and answer by the “teacher”, Jeremiah Wright, saying,
“God Bless America? NO NO NO, god damn America!”
I think Obama learned his lesson(s) quite well. Even if it did take twenty years for him to graduate.

    • Totally disheartening.. did we expect a different result? Unbelievable.

They have shamed themselves. The Supreme Court is no longer supreme.

    • The only way we will ever find out what was going on in the Supreme Court is when one of them retires at 80 and writes a book. Then it will be to late.

    • What great reporters…those correspondents in Washington who won’t sign their work!
Oh right, the problems has been where he was born not that is not an NBC! Idiots.

Top court rejects bid to disqualify US President Barack Obama
From: correspondents in Washington From: AFP
      October 04, 2011 10:51AM

THE US Supreme Court has slapped down a new bid seeking to show that
Barack Obama was ineligible to be elected president of the United States in the
      2008 White House race.

The nation’s highest court refused to take up a case brought by three people
“who claim President Barack Obama is not a natural born citizen of the United
States of America and, hence, is ineligible to be the president,” court documents
      said.

The nine justices, meeting as they opened a new term, thus upheld a August
2010 California appeals court ruling which found that the “plaintiffs’ contentions
lack merit”.The appeals court also argued “the presidential nominating process is not
subject to each of the 50 states’ election officials independently deciding whether a
presidential nominee is qualified, as this could lead to chaotic results.”

Some rightwing conspiracy theorists have claimed that Mr Obama, whose father
was from Kenya, was not born on US territory, which would disqualify him for the
presidency. But official records show Mr Obama was born in the state of Hawaii and the
White House even released the official full version of his birth certificate in a bid
      to squash the debate.
