Independence Day 2018

In July, 1176, John Adams wrote to his wife concerning our country’s independence:

I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.

Happy Independence Day, everyone!!!

While you enjoy barbecues, picnics, boating, fishing, fireworks, parades, swimming–whatever you do this weekend to celebrate and to enjoy the holiday–please remember the troops and all of those who have fought and   some of whom have died to make us and to keep us free!!!

    Because, U know, she doesn’t like being harassed.According to Fox News:
    Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., yelled at reporters on Tuesday after she was questioned over her controversial call for Trump officials to be accosted in public spaces.

    “Now get out of here! I’m going to the women’s room,” Waters yelled at a cadre of reporters outside the Speaker’s Lobby who were asking her about her comments.
    She also refused to answer questions about whether her remarks are bad for her party.
    Waters, of Course, has been Inciting people to GO After Trump officials wherever they find them, telling a crowd:

    If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out & you create a crowd & you push back on them, & you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.

    But when the tables are turned, she gets, um, a (little ? ) a LOT . pissy!

    Hashtag Never Trump. Hundreds of celebrities, political pundits, established GOP on BOTH the Republican and Democratic parties, AND mass media were AGAINST his nomination and candidacy for president.

    He personified, funnily enough the class struggle of the poor working class against the rich elite which propelled him to the presidency.

    The making of this video was FAR more extensive than the 3 minute long clip shows. For example, I remember I read a comment that mentioned how the Simpsons did this Donald Trump show in the year 2000. And once I found a high quality clip, compared it to his original bid that he was entering the race to run for president. It was remarkably similar. Hence I decided to do a fade in from the Simpsons clip to Donald Trump’s presidential bid. It helped set the stage of this almost surreal narrative we got from the media regarding his prospects for election.

    For example, I listened in to the full 8 hour video of ABC, CBS and PBS election nights. I had duly cut out clips of interest, interesting reactions and so on. However all those clips, at the end of the day was discarded for poor quality and they were not aiding the narrative.

    The title:
    By the way, this presidential election was conducted much more in the twitter and the social media world than any previous elections (to be expected), but twitter was a defining aspect of it, hence the title ‘#NeverTrump’ as a tip of the hat to that influence.

    The narrative was simple. Starts with with the “never trump” comments. A nod to the tapes, a nod to the influence of money, a quick summary of polling data (removed the original 20 that I had since it bogged down the pace of the clip), set the stage for the infamous election night. Decided to drop all other commentary from ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC and just concentrated on TYT network so as to prevent the scene feeling too disjointed. Also had the best reaction from TYT group, well specifically Cenk Uygur, love that name.

    Also I tried to condense without breaking the pacing, like the Ann Coulter on Bill Maher show, she had a statement like, “of the current republican party nominees I would pick Donald Trump” … just jumped into “Donald Trump” and went to the reaction shot overlay. Stuff like that.

    Also did the trick of getting the dialogue started from the next clip bleeding into the current clip so the switching of clips is less jarring. Also had to do a lot of audio leveling so the sound level remains consistent. Then go back and in certain spots drop the music volume down when people were dialoguing so we could hear what was said.

    Like I said before, I had a TON of clips. My process of saving snippets was time consuming but helped me to construct the dialogue. I ended up using less than 5% of the EDITED final clips. Gives you an idea of the volume of work I referenced. There also included a lot of blurry quick cut scenes that I kept to remind myself to hunt down the original long form version of it to include in the clip.

    The key to the video is pacing, emotional reactions, and timely and ironic imagery.

    Why Trump keeps calling Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas” (feather~brain)!

    6. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”
    Trump calls the Leftist news media “fake news.”

    7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Using the twitter account to counter EVERYTHING that some comedian or other Leftist politician EVERYTIME. He needs to be more selective, BUT STILL RESPOND WHEN ESSENTIAL.

    **8. “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Trump’s tactics of calling the Mueller Investigation a …. ‘witch-hunt

    9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” The threat of a Democrat takeover of the House and Senate IS a threat & he needs to point this out, The possible outcome IS terrifying & the TRUTH must be spoken here.

    10. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.” Trump’s continued & relentless twitter campaign, which he need to keep up.

    **11. “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through & become a positive.” Pushed the term “fake news” & the label has stuck. Calling Comey a LIAR and it has >>>>>> Stuck.

    12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Trump’s demand that the WALL be built to stop the flow of illegal immigration that is KILLING this country. He HAS offered a pathway to citizenship for 1.8 million illegal immigrant Dreamers, nearly tripling the Obama-era DACA program, in exchange for funding for the wall, a end to chain migration, ending the visa lottery system & a merit based immigration system. Democrats REJECTED this entire plan, though it would have granted “amnesty” to 1.8 Dreamers. ARE THEY REALLY COMMITTED TO HELPING THE DREAMERS OR IS THIS A POLITICAL TACTIC USED BY THE LEFTISTS AS AN ISSUE THAT THEY REALLY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT EXPECT FOR THE VOTES.

    **13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, & polarize it.” Trump does this most effectively with the Democrats and their minions. Pick one he as attacked & still months later, he continues the same line of attack. It can even be policy such as the Paris Climate Accord, ObamaCare or the Iran Nuclear Deal. He says again & again this is bad of our country.

      imho, the SCOTUS didn’t go off track by “finding” a right to abortion in the “penumbra” of the Constitution. NO, they went off track in forgetting the fundamental right of the unborn baby to LIFE. Not only a fundamental Constitutional right but also a bestowed-by-our-Creator HUMAN right. It was a travesty.

    The Democratic Party, along with its shills in the mainstream media, has misleadingly blurred the lines between the definition of “immigrant” and “invader.” An immigrant is an alien who has been granted the right to permanently reside in the United States by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
    An “invader,” as defined by Merriam Webster, is one who “trespasses, encroaches, and infringes upon another’s property.” The United States is
    our collective home and those who come here without seeking and gaining permission to enter our collective home are no different than an uninvited guest who enters our personal home to take up residence without permission.

      Oh, the unelected judiciary are really on a roll this week. A judge has unilaterally dispensed with work requirements for Medicaid benefits AND a judge has ordered that there will be consequences (what, pray tell?) if the government doesn’t “reunite” illegal alien children with their illegal alien “parents” and then release them into our population AS IF they’re citizens AND the other judge has refused to allow any changes to the stupid “consent decree” that a previous idiotic president agreed to, making it non-kosher to detain illegal alien children more than a certain number of days. I say non-kosher because I doubt very, very much it if would be “illegal” in the true sense of the word for the president to just throw that consent decree out with, for example, let’s say, an EMERGENCY EXECUTIVE ORDER. This president is elected. Under the Constitution, he has the POWER to run the executive branch, which includes, especially, immigration and keeping our borders and our people SAFE from invasion. The judiciary, especially ONE JUDGE, does not have ANY SUCH AUTHORITY. There’s nothing in any LAW that supports what these judges are ordering. These are POLICIES of the executive branch, which the president and his people make up. As for Medicaid, it seems the law is on the side of the states, not what this judge is ordering. I don’t know why President Trump doesn’t just call the bluff of these people. Do like Obama did and just do what he wants; he has a pen and a phone, too. OR ELSE, just take the cases on an emergency basis to SCOTUS. The law and the Constitution are on his side.
