The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday March 10th shows that 22% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President.
Forty-one percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.
Forty-two percent (42%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 72% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, 17% Strongly Approve and 45% Strongly Disapprove.
Fifty-seven percent (57%) believe that passage of the proposed health care legislation will hurt the economy. Just 25% believe it will help.
Sixty percent (60%) of parents believe that textbooks used by their students are more concerned about political correctness than accuracy.
Republicans hold a seven-point lead over Democrats on the Generic Congressional Ballot.

Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18.
Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) disapprove.

The results centered on Obama’s inauguration (surveys collected 1/19/09 – 1/21/09) were released 1/22/09.
Compare the historical results from then to now:

NOTE: Obama’s “Stongly Approve” has dropped from 44% to 23% … meaning 21% of the voting population “Strongly Approved” of Obama at his inauguration, but no longer does. AT BEST, those all joined the “Somewhat Approve”, and 18% of the 20% who used to “Somewhat Approve” now do not approve of him at all. AT WORST, 3% joined the “Somewhat Approve” while fully 18% of the voting population went from “Strongly Approving” of Obama to not even approving of him at all now.
Seen from the other extreme, those who “Strongly Disapprove” increased from 14% of the voting population to 42%. Even if all of those who were “neutral” before, plus those who “somewhat disapproved” before, combined and now were to “strongly disapprove” of Obama, that still would only account for 22 of the 28 point increase in “Strongly Disapprove”. So at least 6% of the voting population went from approving of Obama to now “Stongly Disapproving” of Obama.
So, combining those two observations, AT BEST, 18% of the voting population went from either “Strongly Approving” or “Somewhat Approving” of Obama to 1% neutural, 11% somewhat disapprove, and 6% “Strongly Disapproving” now. Got that? At least six percent of the voting population has gone from approving of Obama to the other extreme: “Strongly Disapprove”.

The flight of independents continues, in other words. They’re more disillusioned than the electorate as a whole, with a -28 on the index and more than a 2-1 showing for strongly disapproving to strongly approving. Among seniors, it’s -29, and even the under-30 crowd has him at a -2. According to Rasmussen, Obama has also lost the middle class, noting that his weakest income demographics come from earners between $40K – $100K per year.
This sample includes one polling day on a weekend (yesterday), which normally would have given Obama a boost. It will be interesting to see what happens by Thursday of next week, when they poll likely voters on three weekdays instead.

Brilliant analysis, and so early on as 3/08. Here’s what I think. As intelligent as you are, it is unlikely that you would have been so right on by reasoning power alone. It took an intimation of EVIL to begin with.
You may recall my having said at TD that I recognized who and what he was the first nano- second I ever saw him in 1/08. Because in my long life I never had such an immediate and violent response to any other human being, and since I have no ESP, I’ve asked myself many times what it’s all about. I can only regard my reaction–which is the same almost two years later– as instinctual and/or inspired.
And for you to have been on to him so soon, I think the same is true for you. The intellectual achievement came second.

Allow me to expound a bit on my thoughts in this area…
I support and defend the Constitution, including Article VI which says:
One certainly does not have to be a Christian in order to qualify for the office of President.
But if a Presidential candidate voluntarily says they are a Christian, then I have every right as a Christian to test that candidate’s words against Romans 10:9
Has Barack Hussein Obama II ever confessed with his mouth the Lord Jesus? Has he ever confessed with his mouth, “Jesus is Lord”?
I’ve seen no evidence to show that he has, but I have seen that when given the perfect opportunity to do so, he did not.
Obama voluntarily went on TV with Rick Warren at Saddleback Church in California. And when Rick Warren said this to Obama:
That would have been the perfect time for Obama to say, “Jesus Christ is Lord, and I believe God has raised him from the dead. That is what makes me a Christian.”
But that’s not what Obama said. Quite to the contrary, Obama found that question “tough” to answer!
His answer did include “As a starting point, it means I believe in — that Jesus Christ died for my sins, and that I am redeemed through him.” But Jesus Christ died for EVERYONE’s sins, so that alone does not save you. You must confess the Lord Jesus and believe that God raised Him from the dead. It’s not enough to talk about Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. You must confess that He is Lord and you must believe in His resurrection. Obama failed to even mention that.
Obama went on to say, “And it means that those sins that I have on a fairly regular basis, hopefully will be washed away.”
Hopefully? That doesn’t sound like a person of true faith. That doesn’t sound like Obama believes 1 John 1:9
Obama went on to express his true beliefs… in the concepts of Social[ist] Justice. While some of the vidoes have been scrubbed from YouTube, there have been multiple times when Obama has publicly confessed his belief that his individual salvation depends on our “collective” salvation, even though the Bible is clear that our salvation is dependent on our individual confession and belief, not on any “collective” salvation.
Also, all it takes is the merest glance at his replies to Rick Warren’s question to see about whom obama was talking. Hint: it wasn’t the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit.

Talk show hosts are scrambling to distance themselves. Why?
Do you notice how it can be read different ways? Sort of like everything Obama says.
The sign says nothing about violence or taking up arms against fellow countrymen. Doesn’t Obama talk about revolution when he talks about remaking America?
This sign says to me no more than what the Founders said. To paraphrase, when the government ceases to submit to the will of the People (which would happen if our so-called representatives ignore the will of the people and continue to ignore the Constitution) then We the People MUST throw it off and begin anew.
Wasn’t it Jefferson who said that there should be a revolution every 20 years in order to keep our Republic?

In Missouri, there’s also currently a proposal for an amendment to the state Constitution to “opt out” of ObamaCare. McCaskill, of course, and right on cue, went on national TV to call these legislators “dumb”. That’s like waving a red flag in front of a bull.
She’s so out of touch, it’s scary. Sad to say from her point of view, she’s going to fall under category two: vote them out. She seems clueless about that fact, although now that ACORN unconstitutionally will continue to exercise the “right” to abscond with our money against our will, perhaps she knows that ACORN will “help” her get the “votes” she needs to be reelected.
Watched John McCain before the Senate the other day lambasting the ridiculous spending of $4 BBBBillion, such as $3.9 mmmillion for researching knitting and weaving, $300,000 for seal research, $250,000 for a Father’s Day Rally Parade, etc.; McCain said, “They are spending like a drunken sailor and the bar is still open., …there’s a peaceful revolution going on out there and we’re going to end this obscene process and we’ll end it in 2010!!”
While I know some of you disagree with my support of McCain, the man, when it gets down to it, supports the USA and hates pork!

I believe in my heart that McCain is a patriot. In fact, it would be hard to find a man who has sacrificed more for his country. God bless him and all in the military who risk their lives to defend us every day. We NEED them on that wall.

That is great news…except will they plead the 5th or say the records are now sealed because the thugs are currently in the WH? Or perhaps those records have been stolen along with the computers? I don’t think they can claim executive privilege for interviews taken before certain persons were in the Executive, but they will TRY anything and they will always stall. That’s why Bauer is there. That’s probably why half the people in the administration are there–because they KNOW things.

Also, while today’s Rasmussen numbers show a one point improvement in those who “Strongly Approve” (from 23% to 24%), and a corresponding one point improvement in the Approval Index (from -19 to -18), the other numbers all hit New Records:
Strongly Disapprove is at a record high 42%
Total Disapprove is at a record high 55%
Total Approve is at a record low 44%
And even that Strongly Approve number (24%), while a point higher than yesterday’s 23%, is still a point lower than what had, before yesterday, been the record low (25%) that had only been reached on two prior days.
By all accounts, Obama’s approval is at record lows.
That’s why the media blitz yesterday and also why he’s going after Wall Street bigwigs yet again. Class warfare is always a winner for progressives. Those are the people he’s TERRIFIED of losing. He knows those poll numbers don’t reflect only conservatives and independents.
The above is a link to a story you might already know about, but it’s worth repeating because it’s probably part of his plan to bump up those poll numbers and also to avoid having to “celebrate” Christmas.
We the People are paying for the cadre of invited media persons, plus guests, to go to Hawaii with the Obamas and supply fawning “news” coverage.

Something else to note from today’s Rasmussen poll:
OK, so…
Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance.
And…
Seventy-two percent (72%) of Democrats now offer their approval
And…
Seventy-seven percent (77%) of liberals approve
And…
The President earns approval from 37% of White voters and 98% of African-American voters.
So tell me, who is racist???
Don’t tell me that 98% of “African-American” voters approve of President Obama because they are Democrats or because they are Liberals. Democrats and Liberals only approve of Obama at the rate of 72% and 77%, respectively.
What accounts for that 98% approval from “African-American” voters? If it’s not attributable to just political party and/or political ideology, what’s left?
It’s pretty obvious that that 98% approval is due to “African-American” voters judging Obama by the color of his skin.
So, I ask again, WHO’S RACIST???
I don’t care about the color of Obama’s skin. I have always disapproved of Obama because of the content of his character.
I agree with Alan Keyes who said that Obama’s support of leaving born alive infants to die shows that Obama’s conscience is seared.
(On repeated occasions, Obama opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois).

President Obama gives himself a B+ for his first 11 months in office. What grade would you give him?

Yeahhh, looks like there is a major discrepancy in how he grades himself, and how the voters see him. I didn’t see how many voted. 72% Failed him..adding the D’s and F’s together. Certainly looks like a mandate for change to me…a change to get rid of him!

WASHINGTON — As the Senate health care debate enters crunch time, the pressure from all sides continued to grow today, with Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., right in the middle.
His spokesman quickly dismissed a report by conservative columnist Michelle Malkin that Nelson was even being threatened with “closure of an air force base,” presumably Offutt Air Force Base, which is south of Omaha and home of U.S. Strategic Command. Malkin also said Nelson has been promised a “bribe bigger than Sen. Landrieu’s.”
… The legislation includes a provision to increase Louisiana’s Medicaid funds that Landrieu says is worth $300 million.
Nelson spokesman Jake Thompson said both of Malkin’s claims about Nelson are false.

Several observations:
Yesterday was a record high for “Strongly Disapprove”… at 43%.
Today “Strongly Disapprove” jumped another 3%(!) to a new record…46%
Meanwhile the number for “Total Approve” (“Strongly Approve” PLUS “Somewhat Approve”) is only a mere 44%.
So today marks the first time that those who STRONGLY Disapprove of Obama outnumber ALL of those who approve of Obama even a little bit.
Today’s record of “Strongly Disapprove” (46%) exceeds both the historical record for Strongly Approve (45%) and the current “Total Approve” (44%).
Also, a new record Total Disapprove (up 1% to 56%).
Total Approval matches its low, so both the approval gap and the Strong approval gap are at new highs (12% and 21%, respectively)
That’s change we can believe in,
and change we need.
Everyone is so thrilled with his policies and with him…his numbers are just rising! Up a full 3 negative points! Harvard must grade people differently. At my college, this would be a failing grade. Massachusetts failed the guy too. I wonder who told him he should get a high B? They must all work in the same office. I wonder how he graded students as a lecturer? Why won’t any of those students come forward and let us know? It seems like there would be a couple students that could tell us the truth…well, at least one. Perhaps they were very small, tiny, classes.

Independent voters see Pres. Obama in a negative light by a nearly 2-1 margin, according to a new Marist College survey, while almost half of voters say he has failed to meet their expectations.
The poll, conducted Feb. 1-3, showed just 44% of registered voters approving of Obama’s job as president. 47% disapprove. But among indie voters, Obama’s approval rating sits at a terrible 29%, while his disapproval rating is at 57%.
Obama’s 44% job approval rating is the lowest he has scored in any non-internet poll since moving into the WH, according to a review of data compiled by Pollster.com.
