America: this arrogant, narcissistic, amoral man thinks you’re stupid. Who do you think pays for the insurance policies that provide “free” birth control, sterilizations, and abortifacients to employees? Why, the very religious organizations doctrinally prohibited from paying for these “services” in the first place, of course.

Dick Morris was right when he said that the Democrats found that abortion wasn’t a winning meme. That is why they have changed their tune to make it about contraception and that the Republicans are against contraception. George Stepanopolus was in on it a month ago when he brought up the issue in a debate, and went on and on for about 5 minutes. The issue was out of left field, and still is.
The poor can’t pay for their own sexual protection? We must provide it for them? Anybody opposing this idea is against women and their rights? Such BS.
Is it Laura Ingraham who says that contraception is free? Just put your thighs together and keep them like that.
Now birth control pills are a “right” that someone else must pay for! It’s outrageous that it’s accepted that a president can ORDER, simply ORDER, private companies to give away services FOR NOTHING. FOR FREE.
They’re calling it “contraception” and claiming (as if it’s relevant) that most Catholic women take steps to avoid pregnancy at some point in their lives. Of course, they don’t specify whether the steps are artificial contraception or natural means such as the old “rhythm method”.
As if that some people aren’t faithfully following the tenets of their religion means that the TENETS must change instead of the individuals falling into line.
I’m sure their polls are lying in some way. They always do. They don’t report the QUESTIONS asked, just the results.
Regardless, the Church itself is free, is protected by the Constitution, is allowed to define for itself what its religious beliefs are. That’s what’s not to be infringed upon. But Barry sees it otherwise, even though recent SCOTUS opinions seem to disagree with him.
It’s not just about the pill or diaphragms–it’s about that morning after pill, which in the view of the Catholic church, is tantamount to abortion. It’s likely that this will morph into abortion services. It’s just a matter of time, if he’s reelected. And then every woman’s “choice” will also have to be paid for by others.
It’s part and parcel of his entire attitude about everything. Whatever Barry thinks should be, should be, and he WILL FORCE YOU TO SUBMIT TO HIS WILL.
I saw a TV news story at You Tube from 2 weeks ago that reported that the mandate includes free sterilization procedures. Free! That could be very expensive and certainly is against the Catholic Church’s tenets if it’s done only for birth control. (Hmm. I wonder if they discriminate against men in this mandate and don’t require free vasectomies?)

“Simply put,” Frisch wrote, “the progressive movement is in need of an enemy. George W. Bush is gone. We really don’t have John McCain to kick around any more. Filling the lack of leadership on the right, Fox News has emerged as the central enemy and antagonist of the Obama administration, our Congressional majorities and the progressive movement as a whole.”
“We must take Fox News head-on in a well funded, presidential-style campaign to discredit and embarrass the network, making it illegitimate in the eyes of news consumers.”
What Frisch proceeded to suggest, however, went well beyond what legitimate presidential campaigns attempt. “We should hire private investigators to look into the personal lives of Fox News anchors, hosts, reporters, prominent contributors, senior network and corporate staff,” he wrote.
After that, Frisch argued, should come the legal assault: “We should look into contracting with a major law firm to study any available legal actions that can be taken against Fox News, from a class action law suit to defamation claims for those wronged by the network. I imagine this would be difficult but the right law firm is bound to find some legal ground for us to take action against the network.”
Frisch went on to call for “an elaborate shareholder campaign” against News Corporation, the parent company of Fox News: “This can take many forms, from a front group of shareholders, to passing resolutions at shareholder meetings or massive demonstrations are [sic] shareholder meetings.””

It would seem to me that this organization, set up as a non-partisan not-for-profit, is engaging in activities inappropriate for a tax-exempt organization. This sounds like Occupy Fox News. Does it sound “non-partisan” and apolitical?

Ditto for various other parts of the Democratic coalition: “We should work hard to enlist LGBT, Hispanic, African American, Women, Religious Leaders and Groups against Fox News.”

“DEMOCRATIC!” Obviously not non-partisan. Obviously engaged in political activities which could logically be presumed to be “in kind” donations TO the Democratic party. Are these contributions in time, effort, and expense reported to the proper authorities? My, oh my. What goes on BEHIND THE SCENES of these “progressive” non-partisan, research, apolitical “think tanks”.

Yep. And laws are for everyone BUT progressives. As they criticize Romney for not revealing the donors of money handled by HIS bundlers, which is completely legal and which Barry does, too, they overlook all the money ILLEGALLY “donated” to Barry’s and DemocRAT campaigns.
I wonder what Fox News will do with this information. Will someone at the IRS change the status of Media Matters so they no longer are considered a non profit? Media Matters shouldn’t have been given that tag anyway since they were given donations by Soros et al.
This certainly should give people pause as to the propaganda and dispersions against FOX have been relentless and Obama led the way.
Media Matters supplies the programming for NBC, so their news is not news, it is whatever the communists want said and printed.
Tucker was on FOX, talking about this last night I believe, saying he and some others interviewed former employees and present employees of Media Matters. We can assume that there is an internal investigation at MM and they want to find out who leaked the derogatory information. The internal witch hunt only this time, it is against their own.

I wonder how Tucker Carlson got that email! Certainly they should investigate their IRS status, but that will probably go about as far as investigations into the status of black preachers who openly campaign for Barry from their pulpits. There are two legal systems now. One for opponents of Barry and another for supporters of Barry. Blacks can infringe on white voters’ rights, and THIS inJustice Dept. will look the other way–a Holder policy. Catholic chaplains can be threatened with charges of sedition if they merely speak to their congregations about being forced to provide “reproductive services” to their employees, yet nothing happens to “Reverend” Wright or Screwy Louie, who seem to despise and openly support overthrow of our system of government.
I wish I’d seen Tucker on Fox. I haven’t been watching them lately. It’s like information overload. We spend all day blogging, reading, researching this political stuff. It’s likely that IF Media Matters investigates, it won’t be to expose their own apparent unethical behavior. It WILL BE to find and expel the infidel from their ranks.
Here is the Fox and Friends Report from Tucker. This isn’t the one from last night. Media Matter has Weekly conference calls and weekly meetings orchestrated by the WH involving Valerie Jarrett! The internal atmosphere of MM is paranoid!

I remember hearing about this proposed global tax before. A massive redistribution of wealth from the “West” to Third World countries. Maybe this is to replace their previous scheme that’s unraveling–the Global Warming HOAX. That was also a commie ploy to try to redistribute wealth from us to the “have nots”.

It’s an extension of his theme that the “rich” should pay more. In this instance, We the People of the United States of America, collectively, are “the rich” who the “poor” want to plunder for our wealth and Barry the global citizen will be more than happy to give it to them. They didn’t want to answer the question about who would enforce these scheme because they know how We the People feel about the communist, terrorist-loving United Nations.
If you read that UN document, you will see what Ruth Bader-Ginsburg believes makes those other international constitutions superior to ours. It has a focus on ensuring food, health care, education as human “rights”. She’s as much of a globalist as Barry.
Why is it necessary for him to fundamentally transform the USA? Because this philosophy of theirs is fundamentally opposed to the founding philosophy of the United States, which is INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM AND SELF DETERMINATION versus SLAVERY TO A COMMUNAL STATE.
This is anathema to our very way of life. Ergo, they MUST destroy our way of life before they can IMPOSE the way of life these elites have decided is best for all of the human race. They, the all-powerful elites, will decide what rights we shall have. Not God, our Creator, who endowed us with ALL RIGHTS.
yep. all you have to do is read the constitution of the U.S.S.R to see what they think is ideal. Here are a few excerpts:
Article 10. The foundation of the economic system of the USSR is socialist ownership of the means of production in the form of state property (belonging to all the people), and collective farm-and-co-operative property.
Socialist ownership also embraces the property of trade unions and other public organisations which they require to carry out their purposes under these rules. The state protects socialist property and provides conditions for its growth. No one has the right to use socialist property for person gain or other selfish ends.
Article 11. State property, i. e. the common property of the Soviet people, is the principal form of socialist property. The land, its minerals, waters, and forests are the exclusive property of the state. The state owns the basic means of production in industry, construction, and agriculture; means of transport and communication; the banks; the property of state-run trade organisations and public utilities, and other state-run undertakings; most urban housing; and other property necessary for state purposes.
Article 14. The source of the growth of social wealth and of the well-being of the people, and of each individual, is the labour, free from exploitation, of Soviet people. The state exercises control over the measure of labour and of consumption in accordance with the principle of socialism: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his work”. It fixes the rate of taxation on taxable income. Socially useful work and its results determine a person’s status in society. By combining material and moral incentives and encouraging innovation and a creative attitude to work, the state helps transform labour into the prime vital need of every Soviet citizen.
Article 40. Citizens of the USSR have the right to work (that is, to guaranteed employment and pay in accordance wit the quantity and quality of their work, and not below the state-established minimum), including the right to choose their trade or profession, type of job and work in accordance with their inclinations, abilities, training and education, with due account of the needs of society. This right is ensured by the socialist economic system, steady growth of the productive forces, free vocational and professional training, improvement of skills, training in new trades or professions, and development of the systems of vocational guidance and job placement.
Article 41. Citizens of the USSR have the right to rest and leisure.
This right is ensured by the establishment of a working week not exceeding 41 hours, for workers and other employees, a shorter working day in a number of trades and industries, and shorter hours for night work; by the provision of paid annual holidays, weekly days of rest, extension of the network of cultural, educational, and health-building institutions, and the development on a mass scale of sport, physical culture, and camping and tourism; by the provision of neighborhood recreational facilities, and of other opportunities for rational use of free time. The length of collective farmers’ working and leisure time is established by their collective farms.
Article 42. Citizens of the USSR have the right to health protection.
This right is ensured by free, qualified medical care provided by state health institutions; by extension of the network of therapeutic and health-building institutions; by the development and improvement of safety and hygiene in industry; by carrying out broad prophylactic measures; by measures to improve the environment; by special care for the health of the rising generation, including prohibition of child labour, excluding the work done by children as part of the school curriculum; and by developing research to prevent and reduce the incidence of disease and ensure citizens a long and active life.
Article 43. Citizens of the USSR have the right to maintenance in old age, in sickness, and in the event of complete or partial disability or loss of the breadwinner.
The right is guaranteed by social insurance of workers and other employees and collective farmers; by allowances for temporary disability; by the provision by the state or by collective farms of retirement pensions, disability pensions, and pensions for loss of the breadwinner; by providing employment for the partially disabled; by care for the elderly and the disabled; and by other forms of social security.
Article 44. Citizens of the USSR have the rights to housing.
This right is ensured by the development and upkeep of state and socially-owned housing; by assistance for co-operative and individual house building; by fair distribution, under public control, of the housing that becomes available through fulfilment of the programme of building well-appointed dwellings, and by low rents and low charges for utility services. Citizens of the USSR shall take good care of the housing allocated to them.
Article 45. Citizens of the USSR have the right to education.
This right is ensured by free provision of all forms of education, by the institution of universal, compulsory secondary education, and broad development of vocational, specialised secondary, and higher education, in which instruction is oriented toward practical activity and production; by the development of extramural, correspondence and evening courses, by the provision of state scholarships and grants and privileges for students; by the free issue of school textbooks; by the opportunity to attend a school where teaching is in the native language; and by the provision of facilities for self-education.

Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.
DEMAND TWO: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.
DEMAND THREE: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.
DEMAND FOUR: Free college education.
DEMAND FIVE: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.
DEMAND SIX: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
DEMAND SEVEN: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America’s nuclear power plants.
DEMAND EIGHT: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
DEMAND NINE: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.
DEMAND TEN: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.
DEMAND ELEVEN: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the “Books.” World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the “Books.” And I don’t mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.
DEMAND TWELVE: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.
DEMAND THIRTEEN: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign [No secret ballot vote] or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.
These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

From a letter to the editor:
“The religious and moral liberty about which we should be concerned is that of the individual women who deserve the ability to prevent unintended pregnancy and to protect their health. This liberty shouldn’t rely on where you work. And your employer certainly shouldn’t have the right to strip you of it.”
What sort of convoluted logic is this? Every woman born HAS the “liberty” to prevent unintended pregnancy and protect her health (if one is going to accept the premise that pregnancy is a disease to be prevented). In the case of rape, a woman has recourse through the legal system. But even free contraception isn’t going to protect her health in that instance, because the Pill doesn’t prevent HIV or any other sexually transmitted disease. In fact, MOST contraception, whether free or not, doesn’t protect a woman’s health with regard to sexually transmitted diseases. Nor does sterilization. This free contraception, it could be argued, puts women’s health more at risk because men will NOT want to use condoms if pregnancy is prevented via the Pill, the morning-after pill, sterilization, IUDs, or any other artificial method save condoms.
Liberty? How does this writer go from a woman having the liberty, through abstinence and control over her own body and her own CHOICES, to FORCING others (whether an employer, insurance company, or fellow taxpayers via confiscation of their OWN money) to pay for HER choices?
Somehow, in her twisted logic, an employer who refuses to pay for her choices is stripping the woman of “liberty”, as if it’s a given that all others (employers, fellow citizens) SHOULD pay for her choices.

“Following the Georgia eligibility challenges, the mainstream media had been forced to note another symptom of what they pejoratively refer to as “birtherism,” since two of the three challenges centered not on Obama’s birthplace, but on constitutional law and Supreme Court precedent. Most of the media, however, concluded that “birthers” merely switched their argument, after Obama released his long-form birth certificate last April, to his dual citizenship. I can personally attest that is not true, although I recognize that some so-called “birthers” do focus primarily on either the documents issue or the constitutional debate.
Whatever the opinion, many are beginning to note that the entire spectrum of questions points to the most troubling realization of all: the lack of transparency of Obama, the arrogant attitude of this administration toward the rule of law, and the support and complacency of the mainstream media.
What little mainstream attention was given to the Georgia event still primarily covered the challenge led by California attorney Orly Taitz. The others, represented by attorneys Van Irion and J. Mark Hatfield, which centered on the less sensational issues of statutory construction and the law, were for the most part completely ignored. As was the unseemly fact that Obama and his attorney turned their backs on the judiciary of a state.
Taitz, crowned by the media as the “birther queen,” entered her evidence in the Georgia hearing items such as the anomalies of Obama’s posted birth certificate and Connecticut Social Security number. The Soviet-born Taitz, however, inexperienced in a courtroom and suffering somewhat from a language barrier, perhaps has not been the most effective representative in presenting what truly are very interesting facts and significant unknowns about this president.
In fact, there are so many curious items in Obama’s history and adventures in the “birthers'” quest to obtain more information that anyone attempting to recount it all ends up sounding like a loon. Many have scoffed at the level of conspiracy or collusion required to create such a fascinating and frustrating trail. But does the consistent pattern of unknowns suggest that maybe there really is something there?
Is Obama’s dual citizenship perhaps a distraction (even though a valid point of constitutional law) to the issue of his unusual and undocumented past, rather than the other way around?”

Elementary School Lunch Box Federal Inspectors!
Rush was talking this morning. He said he heard from a woman who has a 4 year old, picky eating, child. The mom made lunch for her child: a turkey and cheese sandwich, banana, apple juice, and potato chips. The Feds had an inspector at the school who was going through lunch boxes and determining if lunches met federal guidelines. The mom was sent a violation notice that the lunch didn’t meet the standards of the feds. Apparently, the feds can remove the lunch sent for the child and substitute foods. They did, and what was given to the child instead, 4 chicken nuggets! The mom could face charges if her lunches don’t improve!
Now the child thinks that the mom’s food isn’t good food for her! Her mother said the child doesn’t eat vegetables, although they are served at home and she must taste them. But she didn’t pack vegetables for lunch because the child doesn’t eat them.
Anybody have kids in these commie sponsored school inspector programs? Our tax dollars at work to pay for these Food Inspectors!

Is this a joke? Is Rush spoofing us? It’s a shame that we even have to wonder. Of course it MUST be a joke. This can’t be happening in America, can it? How in the world can anyone justify a school taking a child’s lunch and forcing him or her to eat what THEY provide? This is insane. Has this entire country gone INSANE? I figured he wasn’t joking, but I wanted to point out how not long ago, EVERYBODY would have immediately assumed that he was joking. That’s how far this has gone. Problem was no veggies or milk perhaps. They have a specified number of food groups that must be represented..veggies, fruits, proteins, and grains (bread). Cheese could stand for the milk and protein, turkey the meat and protein, apple juice the fruit, well, potato chips are a veggie too. If she had only put lettuce or arugula on that sandwich! Then the kid could spit it out or remove it anyway.
The little kids I know aren’t allowed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in their lunch. Do you know why? Because kindergartners trade sandwiches, and one kid is allergic to peanuts. So no one can have a PB & J! So much for that staple lunch that most kids will eat!
No veggies, so they give the kid fatty chicken nuggets instead? That makes sense, to a government worker. What if the kid belonged to a church that considers chicken to be a filthy animal? What if the kid was Jewish and they gave her pork nuggets? What if the kid was allergic to something in the chicken nuggets? It makes me gag, just thinking of the “mystery meat” that is in chicken nuggets. YUK.
This is really resonating with the public at large. Rush is still talking about it today, according to a friend who said people where she works are ranting. This is a workplace that is nearly uniformly liberal, and they’re outraged, too. Way to go, Barry and MO. Keep it up! We the People, whether liberal or conservative, do NOT WANT COMMUNISM.

When are chicken nuggets a more nutritious choice than a turkey sandwich? When the U.S. government says so…or is it really? Let’s review on how chicken nuggets are made:
Jani Kozlowski, the fiscal and statutory policy manager for the division, had this to say on the matter:
“With a turkey sandwich, that covers your protein, your grain, and if it had cheese on it, that’s the dairy. It sounds like the lunch itself would’ve met all of the standard.”
Though this looks like a personal decision by that particular agent who disqualified the turkey sandwich lunch and not a policy of the program itself, it still begs the question of how much control do we give to, yet another government department, over the food provided to our children.
I am not saying that is the case here, but this story should be a lesson of just how little we need more enforcement by the government. Instead, we need more in the area of education for both parents and teachers (and government agents) on what is actually nutritious.

We “need” the government to BUTT OUT of how people raise their children. It’s not the job of the government to supplement what children’s parents send for their lunches. It’s not the government’s job to even LOOK at what parents send in their children’s lunch boxes. Can anyone say, BIG BROTHER? Don’t they say they’re investigating? No doubt, they’re investigating the WRONG THING. Not looking into what business the STATE (the federal government) has doing this in the first place. No, they’ll instead investigate what the meaning of nutrition is, as if that’s NOT merely a distraction from the fundamental problem, which is: This is not any business of the government’s and it’s too costly for We the People to continue to pay for. Cancel this program. Eliminate this policy. Fire all these useless government “state” workers and save us the money wasted on this stupid program.
It’s not a question of poor children not getting food. If the kids’ parents receive food stamps, they’re already more than amply provided for. Kids whose parents don’t qualify for free lunches or food stamps have the RIGHT and the LIBERTY to FEED their children as THEY see fit. If the kids are fed by We the People, then I do see the logic in making sure our money is well spent–that the money goes to ensure the kids are adequately fed. But it’s nobody’s business, especially the government’s, to police what children who aren’t being fed on the taxpayers’ dime eat!
Can you believe it? The kid ate three fat-filled “nuggets” instead of her healthy turkey and cheese on wheat bread. THEN, they had the gall to send her mother a bill for the nuggets. “STATE worker” says it all. The all-powerful (they think) state.

And it says I have to have six ounces of milk or a milk substitute, four ounces of meat or a meat substitute, three ounces of grain, three ounces of vegetable, three ounces of fruit, and goes on and on and on. And I did not sign it and I fought about it with them and they pointed me to the state official that I could talk to, and they told me that, “If your son doesn’t like milk just pack it anyway and we’ll dump it out for you and then you can pack something else.” And I said, “Do you know how much a gallon of milk costs?” And they said, “Well, that’s the rules and you have to follow ’em if you want to be in daycare.” So now I’ve got the government telling me that I’m not smart enough to feed my own child.

Study: 1 in 8 US voter registrations have errors

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – Some 24 million voter registrations in the United States contain significant errors, including about 1.8 million dead people still on the rolls and many more approved to vote in multiple states, according to a report released Tuesday.
Even though the inaccuracies impact one in eight registrations, researches at the Pew Center on the States said they don’t see it as an indicator of widespread fraud. Rather, they believe outdated systems are failing to keep pace with the most basic changes in people’s lives, feeding perceptions that U.S. elections are not as airtight as they could be.

About 2.7 million people have active registrations in multiple states, including about 2,000 people registered in four or more states, according to the Pew report. Elections officials said it is difficult to track when someone has moved to another state without canceling their previous registration.
Some 1.8 million deceased people are still listed as active voters, according to the study, which is based on a computer analysis of a proprietary voter database used by Democrats. Researchers believe 12.7 million records do not reflect the current addresses of active voters while 12 million contain address inaccuracies, including those that make it unlikely that mail could reach them.
Some of the files contain multiple problems, with Pew estimating that a total of 24 million have problems.

Obama Campaign Launches ‘Truth Teams’

The Obama campaign is today beginning a new effort to enlist and educate at least 2 million supporters for a “grassroots communications team” they’re calling the Truth Team.
“The goal is to ensure that when Republicans attack [when anyone in opposition to Obama’s communist policies] President Obama’s record, grassroots supporters can take ownership of the campaign and share the facts with the undecided voters in their lives,” the campaign said in a statement.
The teams will be first launched in 13 “swing states,” including Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.
The rollout also includes a social media blitz, directing supporters to three new websites: KeepingHisWord.com, which highlights Obama’s record and “promises kept”; KeepingGOPHonest.com, which highlights GOP policy positions; and AttackWatch.com, which fact-checks claims made against Obama on the campaign trail.
“If the other guys are going to run a campaign based on misrepresenting the president’s record – and their own – we have two options: sit back and let these lies go unchallenged, or fight back with the truth,” deputy Obama campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said in an email. ”We’re fighting back.”

Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski said the initiative reflects a desperate attempt to spin Obama’s negative track record from his first term.
“The Obama campaign is organizing propaganda teams to deceive voters because Americans are catching onto the reality that Obama’s record doesn’t match his rhetoric,” Kukowski said in an email. “How else will they mask the broken promises like introducing another trillion dollar deficit or the fact that the president continues to recycle the same proposals without ever seeing results?”

Food Prices, and my rant for the day. I went to the grocery store last night and about flipped out at what I spent. I usually can judge the cost of my basket, by counting the items and multiplying by $2. (I have done this since I was a student in the 70’s when it was 25 cents per item!). Well, the cost in a month has jumped to $3 per item! Fish now was costing less than beef. Bread is hovering around $4 a loaf. Dishwasher soap was edging toward $7.00 a box! Cat and dog food has skyrocketed also. Milk is still a loss leader in stores, but was $3.99 a gallon. Canned vegetables and fruits were about $2 up from $1.15 a can. Cans of soup – same price, but the fake out is that the cans are smaller. I don’t have an infant, but baby food is exorbitant and the jars are tiny. A stalk of celery was $1.79…for frigging celery! Have you noticed the size of candy bars have gotten smaller yet the price is increasing? I went to spices and tiny cans of spices start at around $4! Spice Islands, around $7! No, I am not going to the most expensive grocery store in town either. I can’t imagine what my food bill would have been if I had gone there yesterday instead.
My neighbor told me this morning to buy gas because it will be $4.00 per gallon by the weekend in Texas where we have oil and gas refineries! If you haven’t noticed, this is inflation, my friends.
Bridgette, I complain about the rising food prices every time I go to the grocery store. They (the clerks) try to blame it on transportation costs, of course I have to set them straight on that 🙂 the price of transportation has hardly risen since 1984, don’t let them bs you! but then they only know what they are told, so I can not much blame it on them.
Not only are containers smaller and at a higher price, boxes which apear to be the same size are half full. Check out the cereal isle.
I read an article the other day that three refineries had been closed down in Pennsylvania. A four refinery is on the chopping block due to the stated reason of cheap prices for oil imports. Also numerous refineries have been taken offline in TX and elsewhere for maintenance. How convenient! We are being played people. Big oil has control of the markets. They have eliminated competition. Look at all of the consolidations in the last 20-30 years. Anti-trust laws need to have some teeth put into them and be enforced. I’ve worked in this industry before and I’ve seen how it works with hedging funds and speculating in the markets. They are playing games with PUTS and CALLS. Contracts have issued for their fuel at the lower price while the rest of us will pay $4/gallon this summer. We are being had!
Also, there is no excuse for the drug Methotrecate to be in such short supply. Children with currable lukemia are in danger of running out of life saving drugs, simply because the drug companies are not making enough of the drug, because it has a lower profit margin. This is pure GREED! They are going to try to make us purchase it from China. I wonder what poisons that will have in it?
I cannot stand the liberal agenda, and I will fight it to my last breath, however don’t be mislead by everything the right-wing stands for either. Corporate profit we are for, but NOT corporate GREED. We don’t want to SLAVES to either side. Our Founding fought so that we could be FREE!
Remember in this SCAM of Obama, the Republicans are guilty as well as the Democrats. The Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of our Government are ALL CORRUPT! The battle is against the ELITES of BOTH parties.
We should be demanding that anybody that we support with our VOTE will DEMAMD term limits for Congress. It’s the only way to clean out the corruption and the cabals.
I saw a graph on Free Republic a few weeks ago. I thought I saved it but apparently not. I can’t find it again. But it showed how much more expensive EVERYTHING is since Barry came into power: Gas, food, electricity, health care premiums, iirc.
Here’s a tip: Aldi. They have good produce for reasonable prices. Their store brands are better than store brands at pricey groceries and also sometimes better, imho, than brand name products. You can really save on cereal and oatmeal. They have knock-offs of nearly every popular name brand cereal. Milk is cheaper there. So is cheese. Staple foods, but you can save a lot of money by shopping there. Their bread is less than $2 a loaf, and they have oatmeal bread, whole wheat, and multi-grain. They even have Shiraz wine for less than $3 a bottle, unless you’re in a “dry” state.
I’m not sure methotrexate is really in short supply or that the pharmas don’t want to produce it. I have an autoimmune disease and the doc was going to put me on methotrexate. It is used for a lot of autoimmune arthrities diseases. It is cheaper than the newer biologics like enbrel and humira because it’s a pill not an injectable, so a lot of insurance companies require that the doc try it before they will approve the biologics. even if someone ends up using the biologics, often methotrexate is used in conjunction. it is very popular and useful among the autoimmune diseases, although it’s rough on the liver so the side effects may not be worth it. anyway, i would look further into that story because I’ve never heard of any issue with supply and no rheumatologist has ever hinted at a supply problem.
I live in OKC and it is all over our local news stations. The local CBS News channel has been running several stories. They did mention it for autoimmune diseases as well. I did not mention it, because for the kids with Lukemia it could be life and death. They interviewed local hospitals and they fear they may run out within 2 months. The Gov’t is supposed to be trying to get them to increase supply. Just search on it and I bet you get several hits, unless they are trying to hid it from us agian.

S filmmaker Sean Stone, son of Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, converted to Islam on Tuesday in Iran, where he is making a documentary, he told AFP.
“The conversion to Islam is not abandoning Christianity or Judaism, which I was born with. It means I have accepted Mohammad and other prophets,” he said in a brief telephone call from the central Iranian city of Isfahan, where he underwent the ceremony.
Sean Stone’s famous father is Jewish, while his mother is Christian.
The 27-year-old filmmaker did not say why he converted.
According to Iran’s Fars news agency, Sean Stone had become a Shiite and had chosen to be known by the Muslim first name Ali.

I heard about this on Rush yesterday, I think or some radio program. I had no information as to where this judge was from and it took quite awhile to locate it. The story intrigued me. She was buried at Google, and didn’t come up as news. Gotta love a black democratic judge and how she thought she was above the law. To bad, this one was caught fixing her own parking tickets! She went into the city database and expunged her tickets for $268.50.

A Lancaster city district judge has been removed from the bench after she was charged Monday with a dozen criminal offenses.The charges stem from District Judge Kelly S. Ballentine’s dismissal last year of three tickets issued to her by a city police officer, according to a police affidavit.
Ballentine, who presides over part of Lancaster city, was arraigned Monday afternoon at the office of District Judge William Benner. She was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
After an investigation, the state attorney general filed 12 charges, including six felonies, against Ballentine. Ballentine has been placed on leave from her duties as district judge. [She is still getting paid!]
~Ballentine is charged with six counts of tampering with public records, three counts of restricted activities due to a conflict of interest and three counts of obstruction of the administration of law.

The first incident involved her then boyfriend, convicted cocaine dealer, Terence J. Mitchell. At the time, Mr. Mitchell was 28-years old and Judge Ballentine was 37. In the early morning hours of New Year’s Day 2005-2006, Mr. Mitchell and his passenger, girlfriend Judge Ballentine, were pulled over by the Lancaster police. The police discovered a concealed loaded gun under Mr. Mitchell’s car seat and he was arrested. While Mr. Mitchell was en route to jail, Judge Ballentine called the city police, went to the station and took responsibility for her cocaine dealing boyfriend’s 9mm Luger and hollow point bullets. She then arranged a get out of jail free card for Mr. Mitchell.
Judge Ballentine also appears to be a false rape accuser. In 2010, Judge Ballentine accused a man of breaking into her home and of attempting to rape her. In May 2011, a jury found the accused man not guilty. The accused had been sitting in jail since his arrest date, July 17, 2010, time that he will never get back.
Upon hearing the verdict, the plaintiff, Judge Ballentine, became belligerent and shouted obscenities at the jury, at which point she had to be subdued and physically removed from the courtroom by deputies and her family. According to Mr. Vonderheide, Ms. Ballentine removed one of her shoes and threw it at the jury whilst repeatedly dropping F-bombs. Imagine if a plaintiff had done so in her courtroom. My guess is the offending individual would’ve been jailed for contempt. This did not happen to Judge Ballentine.
According to Lancaster Online: The jury of nine women and three men returned their verdicts just before noon on Wednesday after deliberating seven hours over two days. Ballentine reacted in disgust and was physically removed from the courtroom by family members and deputy sheriffs. “You all let him do that to me and it’s supposed to be OK!” she screamed on her way out the door. “Get off of me!” she told supporters who tried to calm her. Plata showed no reaction and sat with his hands on his lap.when the verdicts were announced. Prosecutor Randall L. Miller and defense lawyer George N. Marros also did not react. “They believed, as we thought, he was invited in,” Marros said
outside the courtroom. “Either she let him in, or told him to come over.”

Making fraudulent loans to corporate accounts that existed in name only was a key part of an alleged money-laundering scheme by the global bank HSBC, according to a whistleblower who has provided WND with more than 1,000 pages of evidence.
The evidence includes customer account ledgers for dozens of companies through which the financial institution was laundering money each month, charges John Cruz, a former relationship manager for the bank’s southern New York region.
“A bank employee would first set up a bogus corporate account using a stolen corporate identification and the required personal identification to set up the account,” the whistleblower explained. “The loan request would go to HSBC underwriting in Buffalo and the loan would get approved, often on the basis of fraudulent tax returns and fraudulent documentation to support the loan.”
Cruz said the scheme relied on corporate and personal information selected by identity theft to give the fraudulent account a sufficiently good credit history to justify the loan, even though all the supporting documentation, including tax returns, was fraudulent. “Even when these fraudulent loans were declined, HSBC employees in on the scheme would simply call senior bank executives to have the loans approved, thereby effectively by-passing underwriting.
HSBC reportedly is under investigation by a U.S. Senate committee, and WND has provided material to federal investigators.

This describes in detail how money laundering is done!. Where is the money coming from? Is it all from the banks net profits? Do you think there are ties to the Democrats or any of those scandal ridden green companies, or to some drug cartels? This read somewhat like how the Clinton’s worked their money laundering enterprises, or how I think they did it. I suspect that Shorebank or whatever its new name is operates in a similar way. I don’t see any executives or managers named at this bank in this article.
This is too weird. I received an email with this information. Even though I have read it and listened to the video, I don’t know if this group that does the reporting is legit or not. They are called the White Hats. Yet they are talking about an investigation into the HSBC transfer of monies and that the Federal Reserve is involved in a conspiracy to cause the downfall of Great Britain. Lord James of Blackheath is speaking to the House of Commons and says that he has been investigating these charges for two years, and now asks for a full investigation by their government. When HSBC was mentioned, I recalled the investigation by Corsi that is above.

Maurice was investigated by Glenn Beck, but I don’t think we have covered him much on the blog. Yet he was supposed to be the “brains” along with Soros. I believe he resided overseas, so we didn’t concern ourselves much with him.
I can clearly remember the episode where Glenn told his TV audience to research Maurice. I just came across my internet copies a couple of weeks ago and reread them.
I still love Glenn Beck. He always told his audience to do their own research. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t currently be reading the book “Woodrow Wilson as I Know Him” by Joseph P. Tumulty, copyright 1921, and “Reveille for Radicals”, by Saul Alinsky, 1945.

“According to the ACLU, who reviewed the FBI documents for Fox News, information pulled from sites like Facebook, Twitter and blogs could be cross referenced with other databases to identify potential threats. Mike German, a former FBI agent who runs the National Security section of the civil liberties group, says the data could be used to increase video surveillance in a neighborhood. German argues fundamental issues are not being addressed.
“Even where you’re talking about published information, information people intentionally put out there on the Internet, we still have a right not to have that monitored by the government. The government really doesn’t have any interest in tracking someone’s Twitter account if they’re not doing something wrong or suspected of doing something wrong.”
And German says the information can lead, in some cases, to questioning by federal officers, and getting rid of the “cloud of suspicion” can become virtually impossible. “Part of what we want to protect is the freedom to speak your mind, to criticize government policies without fear that the government will take it the wrong way and start treating you as if you’re a threat.”
The FBI told Fox News in a statement that the project was in the research stage, and if it goes ahead, it “will not focus on specific persons or protected groups, but on words that relate to “events” and “crisis” and activities constituting violations of federal criminal law or threats to national security. Examples of these words will include lockdown, bomb, suspicious package, white powder, active shoot, school lock down, etc.”
Fox News asked Facebook and Twitter for comment in an effort to learn whether they would support the FBI program or opt out. Facebook thanked Fox News for the opportunity but had nothing to add. Twitter did not immediately respond.”
Blagojevich to serve sentence at Colorado prison

Rod Blagojevich will be spending his time behind bars in a Littleton, Colorado facility as he had asked — something one of his lawyers said the family had hoped to keep private.
Carolyn Gurland, who had a hand in handling the ex-governor’s sentencing, said Wednesday that Blagojevich and his family were focused on his transition to prison. “He and his family want some privacy during this time,” Gurland said. “The govenor’s focus is going to be that there is a smooth transition and hopes there’s some respect for his privacy.” “Mr. Blagojevich, (the U.S. Probation Department) and the defense team were extraordinarily cautious that this information did not become public and we’re very disappointed that it did,” she said.

Is Colorado the prison of choice? Why Colorado when his family won’t be able to visit regularly? Will Mrs. Blago wait for him? 14 years is a long time. Remember the prison they wanted to open north of Chicago – jobs, Gitmo detainees and a nuclear facility nearby. That would have been close by so Mrs. Blago could visit along with the kids. I wonder what happened to that fine idea. How many investors in that prison were taken for a ride?
It went over as well as Chicago’s bid for the Olympics (Now that one had to involve purchasing by investors of large swaths of real estate etc., expecting that Obama could bring the Olympics to Chicago.) .
On the news, they speculated that he wanted to be where there;s a big international airport so the family could fly in easily. But it would make far more sense for him to be in Chicago, where they live! Unless the family’s relocating to Colorado, in which case it won’t matter what kind of airport there is. The other prisons in Illinois are NOT exactly somewhere a person like Blago would like to live. They also suggested that he’d be “safer” in Colorado, from the rest of the inmates, I presume. He’s going into drug rehab to get a year knocked off his sentence. Suddenly developed an addiction, to take advantage of that loophole/perk. They know all the angles, don’t they?

It’s a scary thought, having the Internet forcibly shut off for you. But it’s just what some Fortune 500 companies and government agencies could face as the Federal Bureau of Investigation tries to get rid of an extremely malicious computer virus.
Krebs on Security reports that the malware — DNSChanger Trojan — infected more than 4 million computes in more than 100 countries thanks to the work of six men who were arrested in Estonia for the crime in Nov. 2011. Gizmodo reports that the virus causes the user to be sent to fraudulent websites by changing DNS settings and even prevents them from visiting security sites that could help rid them of the virus.
In the United States, a half a million computers were reportedly infected with a security firm finding at least one infection in half of the Fortune 500 companies and 27 government agencies. What’s to be done? Krebs on Security reports that any computer still infected by March 8, 2012, will have Internet service disconnected from it:

In a Southern California campaign appearance, presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich encouraged California attorney Orly Taitz to continue her campaign to question Barack Obama’s constitutional eligibility to hold office.
Taitz, who has filed several lawsuits aimed at securing Obama’s certified birth certificate and introducing evidence of his ineligibility for office, rose to her feet to address Gingrich in Pasadena. She suggested his lagging campaign could only be lifted by raising the issue publicly.
“It could help your campaign like it did Donald Trump,” Taitz said.

FBI Arrest Man on Alleged Capitol Hill Suicide Mission

Police say a terrorism suspect has been arrested in an FBI sting operation near the U.S. Capitol while planning to detonate what he thought were explosives. U.S. Capitol Police say their officers and FBI officials arrested the man Friday in a sting operation.
Justice Department spokesman Dean Boyd said the suspect was closely monitored by law enforcement, and the purported explosives were deactivated, so the public was not in danger.
Two people briefed on the matter told The Associated Press he was not arrested on the Capitol grounds, and the FBI has had him under surveillance around the clock for several weeks. They spoke on a condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record. A U.S. law enforcement official said the person arrested was canvassing the U.S. Capitol with violent intentions. He was not believed to have any known connections to al Qaida. It was not immediately clear whether he was a U.S. citizen.
Fox News, however, said the man was of Moroccan descent and had expressed interest in conducting an attack. It’s unclear how the FBI learned of his intentions.
