The Spiral of Silence and the Enforcers of Right Think

In our last post, we learned that researchers have found that people tend to self-censor their speech, both in person and on social media, if they believe that their opinions are unpopular or in the minority. Researchers call this phenomenon the spiral of silence. The tendency to self-censor is one that others, particularly progressives, use to political advantage, when they seek to punish or destroy those with whom they disagree. Depending upon how politically incorrect their points of view are perceived to be by others, speakers quickly learn to self-censor their speech lest they find themselves singled out, investigated, and punished by the enforcers of right think. Let’s look at some recent examples of this type of punishment that goes far beyond ridicule or ostracism.

Obama’s Pseudo-Neo-Marxism

Since 2008, even before, we’ve speculated about Barack Obama’s possible connections to the Soviet Union and its communist ideology.  We know that Obama’s father, mother, and maternal grandparents were sympathetic to communism, as were many of his friends from Hawaii, Frank Marshall Davis (aka “Uncle Frank”) perhaps chief among them. 

Obama himself belonged to or associated with Communist or Marxist organizations throughout his early years in politics, although these facts were carefully kept from the American people during the 2008 campaign.

Blowhard!  This would be amusing if we didn’t know that it just may be something that Barack Obama and most of his Marxist/progressive/domestic terrorist friends (Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dorhn, Van Jones, etc.) have been community organizing for, for years.  Global-warming guru Al Gore calls for an “American Spring”, such as the Middle East experienced over multiple “Arab Springs“–orchestrated, Internet-community-organized, George Soros-funded, astroturfed revolutions in the streets of their cities.  But we’re not alone.  Some have suggested recently that Israel, too, needs such a “Spring”.

FOX News reports: J. Christian Adams, testifying  before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, said that “over and over and over again,” the department showed “hostility” toward those cases. He described the Black Panther case as one example of that — he defended the legitimacy of the suit and said his “blood boiled” when he heard a Justice official claim the case wasn’t solid.

“It is false,” Adams said of the claim.

“We abetted wrongdoing and abandoned law-abiding citizens,” he later testified.

The department abandoned the New Black Panther case last year. It stemmed from an incident on Election Day in 2008 in Philadelphia, where members of the party were videotaped in front of a polling place, dressed in military-style uniforms and allegedly hurling racial slurs while one brandished a night stick.

Let me just say this, the democrat/communist party is openly carrying out a coup d’état right in front of us. I have written on many occasions how many of the provisions of ObamaCare are nothing more than a complete and total usurpation of the Constitution that will forever destroy states’ rights, and severely restrict individual rights in this country.

One more thing I have talked about at length is the so-called environmental movement, and most importantly Big Global Warming. Just like they are using health care, I mean who isn’t for giving people health care, under the guise of “saving the planet” the democrat/communist “progressives” seek to gain total dominance over all of mankind by guilting you into “being a good steward of the earth.”
