Hurriedly constructed retention ponds, built in an attempt to contain and treat the water spilling from the Gold King Mine.
Orange appears to be a recurring theme for us lately.
Over a week ago (!), the EPA (technically, one of their contractors) turned the Animas River in Colorado a putrid curry orange, when they spilled into the river a tremendous amount of contaminated waste water from a defunct mine. This “accident” happened while the EPA was allegedly trying to prevent a spill and “clean up” a mine that’s been inactive for over 90 years. Their bone-headed blunder is raising many questions in the blogosphere.
Heck of a job, Barry!!!

OH, LORD, PLEASE DON’T LET ME BE MISUNDERSTOOD.
Who can blame Evo Morales, the commie leader of Bolivia, for mistakenly believing that the Pope would relish a crucifix in the shape of a communist hammer and sickle? Perhaps a dried llama fetus would have been better appreciated, so that the Pope could have made a Bolivian-style sacrifice to “Mother Earth” (aka Pachamama).
Update: Francis likes it, despite his apparent puzzlement.

Nowadays, everything is political and everything is tainted with politics. Nothing much that happens these days is an accident or a coincidence.
A previous post explained how many fields of scientific study are being systematically corrupted by political correctness, which infects anthropology, paleontology, psychology, sociology, archaeology, history, meteorology and of course political science, among others. The issue of man-caused climate change is among the most obvious of examples where political correctness rears its ugly head. Why is this important to recognize?
Let’s speculate a little about how politically corrupted science can further efforts to “fundamentally transform” our free Republic.

Regular readers may know that I’m wont to joke that we are all African-Americans, and so should be eligible for minority set-asides, scholarships and/or reparations (should they ever be awarded). My joke is based upon the prevailing hypothesis about the origin of modern Homo sapiens sapiens. Personally, I’ve never accepted the Out of Africa model (aka single replacement), but it’s been the favored scientific “wisdom” for some time. The proposals of Milford H. Wolpoff, who advances the multiregional hypothesis, have always seemed to make more sense, but even that model envisions Africa as our ultimate homeland.

We need scientific fact-checkers on the facts and statistics that Obama
pulled out of his rear shared during his “weekly address” about forcing power plants to reduce carbon emissions. Below, in bold type, are some of the “facts” and “scientific” claims he shared, with my comments in brackets:
Earlier this month, hundreds of scientists declared that climate change is no longer a distant threat – it “has moved firmly into the present.” [Show me a scientist who does not believe that the climate has constantly changed from the beginning of the world. Change is a reality; the causes are what remain in dispute.]

According to Scott Whitlock of NewsBusters, [emphasis added to quotes]
Chris Matthews appears to have a Mad Libs-style list of the worst insults he hurls at conservative. On Wednesday, he chose “verbal terror” to smear everyone on the right who disagrees with all of the “great things” Barack Obama wants to do. The Hardball anchor opened his show by hyperbolically warning, “Political armageddon!” According to Matthews, the fight between the President and conservatives is not a conflict of ideas. h/t Gordo
No, it’s much more than a conflict of ideas, alleges Matthews. Watch the video of him, salivating like a mad dog, at NewsBusters. Continue reading
