Today we remember all of the veterans who have served our country throughout history, and especially those who served in World War I, one hundred years ago. Veterans Day was set aside as a
celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
Please take a moment to reflect upon the sacrifices made by our Veterans and their families. Let us thank them all for their courage as we honor them for their service to the United States of America.
Also remember and pray for those who made the ultimate sacrifice:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them. [Laurence Binyon]
