Happy Father’s Day 2017

Strength of a Mountain

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it … Dad

    • 🙂

Someone asked me recently if it was okay to reblog. Since WordPress makes it easy, who am I to object? People link to us, too (I hope). Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying this weekend.

  2. A, “beautiful tribute” for Father’s Day !!!! Thank you, Miri !!!! My Dad had passed away, just this last March at age 93. The poem reminds me of everything he was. “Happy Father’s Day”, to all !!!!

    • I’m so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace. You were so fortunate to have your Dad for such a long time. My Dad has been gone for decades. I was still pretty young when he died and I miss him every day. He was like the Dad in the poem. I realize that not everyone is blessed enough to have had a Dad like that, but I was (and apparently you were, too), so I’m celebrating his life today. I learned so much from him and I have so much to thank him for and to thank the Lord for giving him to me (or me to him, I suppose).

Happy Father’s Day to everyone out there.

  8. Here are the names of the US Navy crew that perished in that unexplained accident near Japan wherein it looks like our Destroyer was rammed midships by a large cargo vessel:

    This should not have happened.

  11. Judicial Watch – NSC document request on Susan Rice, unmasking whisked off to Obama Library !!!! http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-obama-nsc-advisor-susan-rices-unmasking-material-obama-library/

    • I saw that somewhere. WTF?!!! Why did Trump allow this to happen? Surely it’s the holdovers from Barry’s administration, but HOW can NSC documents “belong” to the former president? They’re public records and agency records that belong to the government, if not the people. They aren’t “presidential” records. If these belong to Barry, then how is it that Congress can subpoena (and get) Flynn’s records and other Trump administration records? Tell me how it’s possible, then, for Comey to TAKE and then RELEASE to the media and his friends presidential records from the Trump administration?

      • Will Mueller be allowed to access these records or has Barry pulled up stealing them, just like Sandy Burglar stole Clinton administration records for destruction? Can Trump ORDER them all to be released? Surely there are copies.

  12. The ship collision that made no sense near Japan,
If you look at the pictures, the spoken narrative is junk.
Our destroyer has been rammed amidships.
    http://beforeitsnews.com/military/2017/06/something-fishy-about-uss-fitzgerald-story-we-are-getting-from-the-media-2478879.html

    • I haven’t even heard ANY plausible explanation. I have to wonder where’s Trump on this. The container ship RAMMED the side of our ship. Now I read somewhere speculation that our ship pulled out in front of it. That’s implausible. Don’t they have the equivalent of collision warnings on ships, like on planes? Autopilot? RADAR. Proximity warnings? What would they be, beacons and alarms of some kind? I don’t know, not being in the Navy, but common sense would dictate this couldn’t happen. HOW is it possible? We have self-driving cars now. Can we expect that someone will be able to “pull in front” of the car and the collision will be unavoidable? How fast can something that heavy go, anyway–versus how fast our ship should have been able to move to get out of the way? btw, I haven’t read the link yet. Maybe it explains my questions or fails to explain, based on your comment.

      • Conspiracy theory: The N. Koreans put them up to it. It’s an anti-ballistic missile ship. Presumably sent to that area because of Un’s activities. Are the Filipinos REALLY our allies? Is it a terrorist attack? Will we ever learn the truth? The families deserve to. I’m thinking of Benghazi and the BS that came out of that. Yeah, Trump’s president but HOW MANY OF BARRY’S PEEPS ARE STILL AROUND?

Okay. Now I’m reading the article and see that the author thinks along the same lines.

  13. http://wjla.com/news/local/read-new-report-released-on-seth-richs-murder-investigation

About the Seth Rich case. It’s a report from one of those student researcher projects, similar to, I suppose, that Innocence Project where so many falsely imprisoned people have been released based upon new evidence or DNA turned up by students. The conclusion from these forensic research students: NOT what the NY officials tell us.

    • Not surprisingly, the link to the report doesn’t work in that article linked above. I think this is the report: https://www.scribd.com/document/351805646/The-Profiling-Project-Seth-Rich-Report

      Bottom line:

      ” What we found
      – After a three-month review and investigation into the death of Seth Rich, The Profiling Project notes the following:
      1. Seth’s death does not appear to be a random homicide
      2. Seth’s death does not appear to be a robbery gone bad
      3. Seth death was more likely committed by a hired killer or serial murderer
      4. There may be additional video surveillance of the crime and crime scene
      5. The resolution of prosecuting the individual(s) responsible appears to be hindered both actively and passively
      6. Seth’s killer(s) most likely remains free within the community. …”

      • After reading the report, it seems to me that they didn’t have enough of the evidence to really draw conclusions. However, they dismiss the professional hit theory based upon that Rich was still alive when taken to the hospital and that he would have had a toxin in his system (poison). I fail to understand that reasoning, with regard to poison, but do understand that a professional hit man would probably be successful and (not mentioned by them) that he’d probably use a silencer, so no shots would have been heard to be reported, giving the perp ample time to leave.

However, if Rich didn’t know he was shot and talked to the cops, then how is it, if it was a robbery, that he didn’t even mention (apparently) seeing the perps? He was shot in the back. It’s curious that being so close (if he was close) to the shots, he didn’t know he WAS shot. Video saw two men behind him at some point. Before or after he was shot, I wonder? He WAS shot in the back. All I can think is that he was so drunk that he didn’t feel it.

If the shooters weren’t very close to him, then possibly it was a “drive by,” but WHY? A lethal version of the “knockout game?” If the perps approached him closely after or even before the shooting, then WHY, if they were robbers, did they take nothing?

Cops didn’t treat it as a murder scene, because even Rich didn’t know he was shot. Yet they took him to a hospital. At what point do cops or EMS examine someone to determine why they’re incapacitated? I would think, at the scene.

Supposedly this report comes from graduate students and also some of their instructors. I would not expect to see so many grammatical errors in such a report. Sad.

The most interesting thing I learned is that the crime scene seemed “clean,” with no shell casings, leaving in question what kind of gun was used and whether or not the perps bothered to pick them up but not take his gold necklace and other valuable things. Otherwise, maybe the casings were at another scene and they shot from a distance? How can he be shot at close range and not know he was shot? If the gun was a type that leaves no casings, the cops would know–wouldn’t they? The reported a “hand gun.”

        • One more point: They say it’s unlikely to be in retaliation for DNC leaks or some other political reason. BUT they hinge it upon the hitter being a professional. Was the man who attacked Scalise and others a “professional?” While he may have acted like one, he wasn’t, even though he used a professional’s weapon, apparently. It’s a wonder that they didn’t say it was suicide (like Foster). I guess bullets in the back are hard to self-inflict, though. And, of course, the person would KNOW he was shot.

        • Consider Ricin.
(Ricin is an organic poison found in common plants)
A few micrograms is fatal and professional assasins have used it before.
It takes several hours or days for death to occur as the poison mechanism disrupts cell renewal (division). There is no antidote.
Not an everday amateur poison but for a cloak and dagger sort of guy,
          like definitely.

The Soviet killing that happened in London involved a minor stabbing
          by a ricin tipped umbrella.
It would be possible to infect a victim without him feeling much of anything.

  14. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/06/18/outdoor-clothing-giant-patagonia-pledging-lead-resistance-trump/

Patagonia, a privately held clothing company, is claiming to become a leader in the resistance to President Trump.

FEEL FREE TO BOYCOTT PATAGONIA. THEY OBVIOUSLY DON’T WANT YOUR BUSINESS, YOU DEPLORABLES.

    • Isn’t at the bottom tip of South America close to the antartic south pole?
I have heard they got lots of volcanoes. Not somewhere I want much to visit.
      Anyways,
      What about firing Muller?

      • Oh, yeah. Patagonia is in far south South America. I have ALWAYS wanted to go there. I remember it from geography class in grade school. As for the link, I was talking about Patagonia, the clothing place that sells outdoor clothing to yuppies (is that term still in vogue?). But back to the country of Patagonia: I saw a travelogue about it on (yes!) PBS the other night. It’s a beautiful place, remote and wild. Someplace I’d love to live so long as they don’t hate Americans and so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting my head chopped off (as in Mexico) or being murdered by “banditos” (also as in Mexico). Don’t know much about their government. Could be commies or socialists, but probably not since it’s mostly rural and cowboy loving. I think. 🙂

        • Yeah. Well. What do I know? I thought from grade school that it’s a country. It’s not. It’s a “region”. Shared between Chile and Argentina, so I suppose those governments control it. It’s “remote” and “sparsely populated,” so they probably leave the people alone. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patagonia Tierra del Fuego. Land of fire. I’ve always wanted to see it.

  15. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/06/finally-hillary-clinton-possibly-lose-security-clearance-state-department-continues-email-probe/

Clinton STILL has security clearance but MAY lose it after a State Dept. investigation. (They’re only JUST NOW investigating this?!!) MAY lose it. My question is: She’s a private citizen. Under WHAT circumstances is she still receiving access or needing access to SECRET documents?

  16. This is a YUGE win, imho. It will redound, again imho. Campus speech codes next? http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/06/victory-us-supreme-court-rules-banning-offensive-trademarks-unconstitutional/

“VICTORY: US Supreme Court Rules Banning ‘Offensive’ Trademarks ‘Unconstitutional’

The Supreme Court came to a decision on Monday to throw out a federal prohibition barring “disparaging trademarks as a constitutional violation” in a huge, pro-free speech ruling.

The ruling came down in part because of an “Asian-American” band named The Slants. The court ruled 8-0 in favor of the band, which previously was denied their trademark because their name was deemed “disparaging to people of Asian descent”. Since that’s idiotic, the ruling breaks major ground in regards to free speech at a time when free speech is on the tips of everyone’s tongues. …”

I read in another story that the decision said, basically, that the First Amendment PROTECTS speech that offends and that there’s NO Constitutional right to not be offended.

  17. Another carpetbagger, like Hillary Clinton: http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/06/report-liberal-jon-ossoff-9-times-many-cali-donors-ga-donors-still-lives-outside-district/

“Liberal hope for Georgia Jon Ossoff has nine times as many donors from California as from Georgia where he is running.

Ossoff will not be allowed to vote in Tuesday’s special election for Georgia’s 6th district Congressional seat because he lives outside the district. …”

HE DOESN’T EVEN LIVE IN THE DISTRICT! Soros is buying the seat. Or trying to.

  18. OSSOFF TRUMP-SLAYER FALLS… short???
MOST EXPENSIVE HOUSE RACE IN HISTORY…>>LOSE AGAIN<<<< it's a GREAT DAY in AMERICA!!!
    GA SEAT SLIPS AWAY … a GRAND…BYE BYE ….

    • I don’t know about the Fifth but the PRESIDENT of the USA should get AT LEAST the same courtesy as Hillary Clinton (who was basically a nobody with regard to government) at the time SHE was questioned about her email server. She wasn’t under oath, she wasn’t recorded, and who knows if there was even a transcript kept? All legal minds who are honest say that the DOJ or FBI or a special counsel CANNOT indict a president for a criminal act. Some say they CAN investigate but they can’t indict. All they CAN do is send the “report” to Congress to initiate impeachment and THEN he or she can be indicted. We see how Hillary the nobody is indicted now. Don’t we? But she will skate and he will be hounded to the ends of the earth, so I agree: Do not make it easy for them to create the illusion of crimes. They already have created a FALSE narrative that too many believe. He’s ALREADY being punished for a “crime” he didn’t commit or even think to commit. I would say to fire Mueller but I’m not yet convinced that he’s NOT going to just clear the president. A gamble that must be taken, though. It’s up to Trump. He COULD very plausibly argue to Mueller’s superiors that it’s very obvious to many that Mueller is compromised (conflicts of interest) and so are the many people on his team who are rabid Clinton supporters. Not just that they worked as lawyers for her at some point–but that they actively donated to and helped her campaign. Lawyers can and do represent people with whom they are in no way aligned. But when they donate to her, then that’s obviously a conflict and they’re NOT non-partisan, unbiased people. So Trump COULD call on Mueller to step down in favor of someone less partisan and compromised. On the other hand, John Sununu pointed out that it’s entirely possible that Mueller is hiring what look like obvious partisans for the very purpose of making it more believable and acceptable when the inevitable happens and Trump is CLEARED of all charges. How is it possible in America for someone like Comey to corruptly let Hillary skate but we’re to believe someone like Mueller will nail Trump on a trumped-up technicality based upon a he said/he said? They ALLOWED Obama to stay in power even though you KNOW that they KNEW he was not constitutionally eligible. For the supposed good of the country. Is anyone going to believe it’s for the good of the country for them to overturn an election in such a scurrilous underhanded way and there won’t be VERY NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES FOR OUR COUNTRY?

    • We’ll see. They say Trump can get the documents back and so can subpoenas by Congress. Trump can release them if he wants to. That would be provided that the library doesn’t then claim, as the obots have claimed so many other times, that they’re “lost” or it costs too much to look for them.

  19. Ossoff off,
    so I heard
    http://hosted2.ap.org/APDefault/*/Article_2017-06-21-US–House%20Election-Georgia/id-51f583b53fa74b16a4478847dc5ba35b

DUNWOODY, Ga. (AP) — Republican Karen Handel declared victory in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District with a promise that she’ll work to gain the confidence of voters who backed her Democratic opponent.

But Handel’s thank you to President Donald Trump in the same speech Tuesday night is unlikely to comfort backers of the Democrat who came to symbolize anti-Trump resistance.

Handel won about 52 percent of the vote to quell the upstart phenomenon of Jon Ossoff, a 30-year-old Democrat who raised more than $23 million and became a symbol of opposition to Trump.

The thank you to Trump was Handel’s most public show of support of the man who wasn’t embraced by many voters in the well-educated suburban Atlanta district in November and who she handled delicately throughout a primary and runoff election to fill the congressional seat vacated by Tom Price to take a spot in Trump’s cabinet.

    • She saw Os-OFF!

This guy, after spending millions of other people’s money (from outstate), got no larger of a percentage than he got in the primary. That tells me, at least, that all that money didn’t buy him one more vote.

I loved it that Handel thanked the President in her speech.

  20. From Washington Post:
The buzz in Washington surrounding the race for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District was all bad for the last couple of weeks. People had been bad-mouthing the Republican candidate, Karen Handel, they had been insulting the Republican National Committee’s competence and they had been dismissing any notion that Republicans could pull through to defeat the energized “resistance.” But the ashen, sour and dejected faces on CNN Tuesday night following Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff’s defeat made the last 10 days of Republicans’ worry and anxiety worthwhile. By any measure, the victory proves the Republican political machine is alive and working well.

Heading into Tuesday, Democrats were prepared to bask in their self-righteous glory and proclaim an outright victory in the wake of President Trump’s political decline. They wanted to claim a successful referendum on the Trump administration and the president’s “America First” policies. But with Handel comfortably pulling through to claim her seat, Democrats are left with nothing to show for their tens of millions of dollars and full-court press.

If anything, this race proves Republicans have no reason to be defensive as a result of Obamacare’s demise, it shows Republicans have nothing to hide from in the age of Trump and it signifies that nothing about the current faux-scandal-ridden environment has produced a downdraft for Republicans

    • Simply fabulous, isn’t it? The story of Handel’s win was on page 8, iirc, of my local paper. Had the DemoncRAT carpetbagger won, it would have been front page news, bold type, celebratory. Sad. 🙂

  21. And I helped. 😀

    • Wow. That’s great! I love it. Brave person. Who is Kyle? Did you really help? Good for you. Proud!!!! MAGA.

  22. ~ Los2000 ….
To paraphrase Ayn Rand, You can deny reality, but you cannot deny
    the consequences of denying reality.

Do these people even know this truism?

It ain’t about the gays Woopie G… it ain’t about the gays.

    • facebkwallflower

This one will be easy to defeat. Too many liberal moms, die-hard Hillary fans, will draw the line if they see over and over and over again clips of Biden groping girls their own girls’ ages.

    • I sure don’t want to even consider the possibility that the man ordered his own grandsons’ mother to be killed. The motive is what sounds fishy. Because she thought of divorce? They had their heirs. I don’t think the royals were particularly fond of her, so why would they care if she left, so long as she left the heirs? Didn’t Fergie divorce her hubby? She’s still around, so far as I hear. What I THOUGHT he was going to say is that she was a risk because of the muslim she was hanging out with. Certainly is a little double-standard-ish when you consider what Charles was up to with his now-wifey.
