Comey and Reality

This is an interesting week for the United States of America. Today, intelligence officials are set to testify:

Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, National Security Agency Director Adm. Mike Rogers, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will all testify before the Senate intelligence committee 24 hours before the [James] Comey hearing.

The media and other progressives wait with bated breath, hoping for more conspiracy theory bones upon which to chew.

Tomorrow, as referenced in the quote above, former FBI Director James Comey will give his version of the alternative facts surrounding the supposed investigation into supposed Russian interference in the 2016 election and his conversations with President Donald J. Trump about the investigation.

And then there’s the task of trying to discern the reality of Reality Leigh Winner, alleged to have leaked a top secret document to the media. Just. In. Time.

What is her reality, exactly? Is she a “journalistic source,” a hero to the American people, a victim, and/or just a “small-town girl,” as portrayed in this story? [emphasis added to some quotes]

Her now-deleted social media accounts are full of images you might see on most any 20-something’s page — selfies with friends, cuddling with pets, posing with family members.

“Just a reminder on Father’s Day how awesome it is having a dad like Gary Davis,” she posted last year with a photo of herself and her stepfather.

Winner’s talents took her far from Kingsville, Texas, population about 26,000; she turned down a scholarship to Texas A&M University-Kingsville to join the U.S. Air Force, Davis told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. …

“Winner is accused of serving as a journalistic source for a leading American news outlet about a matter of critical public importance,” [Edward] Snowden [former CIA “whistleblower,” who hides out in Russia] posted on the Freedom of the Press Foundation’s site. “For this act, she has been charged with violating the Espionage Act — a World War I era law meant for spies…it’s clear she is neither a threat to public safety nor a flight risk. To hold a citizen incommunicado and indefinitely while awaiting trial for the alleged crime of serving as a journalistic source should outrage us all.”

Spoken as a true patriot. Well, it doesn’t outrage me.

Is the reality of Reality just as her mother believes:

[T]hat her daughter would never put herself in a position where another person was at risk.

“She would not jeopardize anybody’s safety. She would not, I can tell you that for certainty,” Winner-Davis said. “She loves children. She loves animals … She’s not a threat to anyone. She’s not a violent person.”

Winner-Davis said that despite the allegations she remains “a proud mom … I have every reason to be proud of that girl.”

She added: “I can’t ever call her a traitor or even believe that. No, that is not Reality. That’s not her.”

Well, then, who is she? What, exactly, is the reality of Reality?

Her step-father shares his reality:

I know my daughter. She’s a patriot …

Not to worry about those social media posts that sharply and profanely criticized her Commander in Chief: Step-dad’s not sure that’s really her social media account. Uh, huh.

Well, We the People aren’t sure that the leaked document is real, either, so join the club.

Poor Reality’s now the victim. She and her family are being bullied on social media.

This analysis at the Washington Times alleges that in reality, Reality is a political hack who wanted to help take down a president that she obviously hates:

Reality Leigh Winner, the 25-year-old National Security Agency contractor just charged with leaking classified government information, has an interesting Twitter feed.

The information she’s accused of leaking provides details of Russia’s 2016 attack on a U.S. voting software supplier — information that coincidentally ended up in a news report from the left-leaning Intercept.

Information that coincidentally feeds into Democrats’ long-running messaging about President Donald Trump and his team’s supposed collusion with Russia to hack and steal the election. 

Information that coincidentally furthers an anti-Trump mantra — the same anti-Trump mantra Winner herself put out on her private Twitter feed, the one she maintained under the name of Sara Winners.

“Well,” Sara-slash-Reality Winners wrote, in a Nov. 9 tweet, right after Trump won, Mashable noted. “People suck. #ElectionNight.”

A couple weeks later, she tweeted this: “Why burn a flag? @realDonaldTrump thinks crosses burn much better.” 

And in January, this, a retweet of Mexico former president Vicente Fox’s message that read: “@realDonaldTrump, Mexico won’t pay for your wall. You say that America won’t neither. Then who’s left? It’s you and your #F—ingWall.” Winners added her own message to that retweet, short and sweet: “#NotMyWall.”

Was her alleged leak political, or was it a “ham-handed Psy-Op?”

So much doesn’t add up about Reality Winner…

The 25 year old former US Air Force #NeverTrumper, born Sarah Leigh Winner, who held a top secret security clearance and maintained a very public anti-Trump presence on Social Media gets a job with NSA contractor Pluribus International and starts work in a Georgia NSA facility February 13th.

May 5th – the date the leaked document was allegedly created, detailing what the NSA claims are the results of an investigation into Russian election hacking based on new information received in April. The report is weak sauce – spend 5 minutes and read it… There is zero evidence of Russian hacking or influence – only a thinly supported narrative about an alleged spear phishing campaign and it’s potential victims.

On May 9th, four days later – Winner printed, removed, and snail mailed this top secret classified intel which offerings absolutely zero proof to support its claims to The Intercept.

May 30th – The Intercept contacts a ‘government agency’ to let them know about the documents mailed to them by the rogue NSA contractor.  The online magazine then proceeds to throw Winner under the bus by giving the NSA / FBI information which they used to easily identify her.

June 4th –  Suddenly retiring rising star family man Jason Chaffetz says he wants to see leakers ‘in handcuffs.’

June 5th – The Intercept publishes a report ‘confirming’ Russia hacked the election.

An hour after The Intercept publishes – the FBI arrests Winner. …

So in reality could Reality simply be a victim of the “deep state” that set her up to take the fall after they manipulated her into “leaking” this document just in time?

Of note is that also on May 9th, President Trump fired James Comey and that this “new” information, found just this April and reported on in May, provides a too convenient out for those Obama-administration folks who previously testified or claimed in the media that there’s no evidence yet.

So now, very conveniently, there allegedly is “evidence” that Russia “hacked the election.”

That’s only if you believe this convenient new intelligence “report” that was leaked very conveniently, just in time for this week’s round of testimony.

So much to ponder. What say We the People?
