Abdul-Jabbar Versus Carson

Kareem_Abdul-Jabbar_1969 - Copy

The erstwhile basketball player formerly known as Lew Alcindor has weighed in on presidential candidate Ben Carson’s statement that he would think twice before putting a Muslim in charge of our country. In so doing, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has in a way confirmed the reason why Carson made such a statement in the first place. At least, that’s my take on what Abdul-Jabbar said.

You be the judge of Abdul-Jabbar’s riposte: [emphasis added]

Sharia law is for Muslims. So if there is a Muslim majority state then it has to be run by Sharia law. But I live in a very diverse country and I have to respect everyone else’s beliefs — the Koran says that…That’s the only criteria that Muslims have in being a minority in the country. We have to respect the laws and traditions of America.

Okay. So what if, as predicted by one Muslim woman when speaking to a school board recently, Muslims should become a majority in this country (or in a city, county, or state), something not beyond the realm of possibility, considering the progressives’ intent to import as many “immigrants” and “refugees” as possible?

Can Kareem Abdul-Jabbar please clarify for us, as Carson has clarified his own remarks?

Speaking of Carson’s clarification, he states that if a Muslim candidate promises to put the Constitution ahead of religion, then voters may rightly decide to support that Muslim candidate.

But how can any thinking person believe a Muslim candidate, when Islam allows for taqiya and kitman, most particularly under political circumstances?

Muslims are understood to be proscribed from lying to each other. However, taqiya and kitman are the two permissible, indeed laudable, forms of lying to infidels (non-Muslims).  Such lying typically is encouraged, allowed, and approved if the lies advance the cause Islam, especially if the goal is to defeat infidels by gaining their trust.

You see the conundrum? So if I were Ben Carson, I’d ask Abdul-Jabbar to explain what happens when/if Muslims should become a “majority” and not a “minority” in any political domain.  According to his statement, a Muslim majority state “has to be run by Sharia law.”

Has to be. MUST be run by sharia law. What, then, is Abdul-Jabbar’s definition of state? It matters.

Does Abdul-Jabbar have to “respect the laws and traditions of America” only so long as Muslims are a minority within a specific political domain? What of minority rights if Muslims become a majority?

What of all the rights protected by our Constitution, rights endowed by our Creator–the very rights that sharia law does not recognize, such as freedom of religion, speech, assembly, the press?

Does Abdul-Jabbar conceive of a time when Muslims are a simple majority here and therefore can do away with the Constitution and to hell with the system set up to ensure that our God-given rights are protected from government infringement, especially by a state religion? If Muslims become a majority, does Abdul-Jabbar expect that Christians and other infidels will go to their sharia-assigned places as second-class dhimmis?

Does the Muslim woman at the school board meeting similarly imply that when Muslims become a majority, sharia law will prevail, despite the Constitution of the USA?

Mr. Abdul-Jabbar, does the switch-over to sharia law happen as soon as Muslims become 51% of any political demesne?

I’m just wondering, because it matters.

Gee, funny how this happens and it’s not reported widely. Did you know that the 20th 9/11 hijacker has been released? More about it here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/saudi-detainee-at-guantanamo-bay-prison-has-been-repatriated/2015/09/22/b28c28cc-6156-11e5-b38e-06883aacba64_story.html

This, despite that [from the first link]

    • “Detainee (Shalabi) is a member of al-Qaida and a long-term bodyguard for Usama Bin Laden (UBL), serving in that position beginning in 1999.”
    • “Detainee received specialized close combat training for his role as a suicide operative in an aborted component of the 11 September 2001 al-Qaida attacks.”
    • “Detainee participated in hostilities against U.S. and Coalition forces and was captured with a group referred to as the Dirty 30, which included UBL bodyguards and an assessed 20th 11 September 2001 hijacker.”
    • “Detainee received advanced training at multiple al-Qaida camps.”
    • “Detainee also has familial ties to UBL and has demonstrated his hatred for Americans at JTFGTMO (Gitmo) and will likely reestablish ties to al-Qaida and other extremist elements if released.”
    • “A HIGH risk, as he is likely to pose a threat to the U.S., its interests and allies.”
    • “A HIGH threat from a detention perspective.”
    • “Of HIGH intelligence value.”
    • “His overall behavior has been mostly noncompliant and hostile to the guard force and staff. He currently has 95 Reports of Disciplinary Infraction listed in DIMS with the most recent occurring on 27 February 2008, when he was reported spitting on the guard force.
    end quote

But we wouldn’t want to be responsible if he starves himself to death, would we?

This is a good read written by Ann Coulter about the meaning of the 14th Amendment and “birthright citizenship”. I like this SCOTUS quote:

“The main object of the opening sentence of the 14th Amendment was … to put it beyond doubt that all persons, white or black, and whether formerly slaves or not, born or naturalized in the United States, and owing no allegiance to any alien power, should be citizens of the United StatesThe evident meaning of (the words, “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof”) is, not merely subject in some respect or degree to the jurisdiction of the United States, but completely subject to their political jurisdiction, and owing them direct and immediate allegiance. … Persons not thus subject to the jurisdiction of the United States at the time of birth cannot become so afterward, except by being naturalized …”

  3. Because it’s not pedophilia if a Muslim does it, only if it’s done by a homosexual Catholic priest:

“Colin Freeman reports for the UK Telegraph, Sept. 22, 2015, that the U. S. military is accused of encouraging our troops in Afghanistan to turn a blind eye to sexual abuse of young boys committed by local army commanders whom we had trained.

Former U.S. soldiers say they were ordered to ignore local Afghan commanders taking young boys as sexual playthings — a practice known as bacha bazi (“boy play”) which is common in Islamic Afghanistan where extra-marital sex and female prostitution are frowned upon. The veterans say the U.S. military placed greater priority on maintaining good relations with local Afghan commanders and militia leaders because they will take over once American forces pull out. …”

Another example of the twisted notion that a muslim man doesn’t think he’s homosexual unless he’s the “bacha bazi”. It’s common all over the muslim world, not just in Afghanistan. I guess like Clinton, they don’t think it’s having sex, so no harm, no foul as far as cheating on their wives. So our “Commander in Chief” orders the troops to look the other way on this CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE. Interesting to juxtapose the same progressives and their campaign (Hillary, McCaskill) who are on a roll against the “rampant” sexual abuse of COLLEGE WOMEN. Are they for sexual abuse or against it? In Afghanistan, these are children. College-aged women are adults. Their stats, as usual, are distorted because they are calling ANY “unwanted touching” sexual ASSAULT.

    • Brian Williams! You know, he knows for sure that Barry was born in Hawaii because he was the delivering physician!! It’s ALL true. This is also true:

    • That article is a blast from the past. So many possibilities revealed. Was he REALLY 2 years old in July 1962, for example? Could be, which means he was, perhaps, born SOMEWHERE in 1960. Was there NO father listed on that birth certificate that he found with his vaccination records? Or maybe the “father” listed was Lolo, having adopted him and maybe even claimed (belatedly, perhaps truthfully, perhaps to grease skids) that he was the biological father, and so they got an amended BC, which is why it was there in his mother’s effects WITH HIS VACCINATION papers, which he needed to travel to (or from) Indonesia. It’s interesting to read these old articles again, because then other things stand out or come into focus. Who’s the “Aunt Sarah” who said not all of Obama’s kids are Obama’s? That COULD possibly mean Barry, for sure. I’m still struck by his resemblance to the cousin “Marie Auma” who isn’t any biological relationship to him, unless Kezia herself is, in which case …

      • Boo Hoo only Ruth could prove paternity for her son Mark. Wah. Wah.
        Hiya David. Maybe. Maybe not.

One thing is for sure. he ain’t who he says he is. That we knw for certain.

Ever notice there’s nary a word about his sister Lia? Nobody will go there.

        • Good catch, Papoose. Let’s not forget about little Davy. So if he’s not BHO Sr.’s son, then who is he? Maybe we should ask, although we may know already: Where is he?

Never talks about Lia and seldom, anymore, talks about Maya.

“I think it signals that crazies have taken over the party.” Thus sayeth Peter King. A victory for the “crazies”.

  6. Another blast from the past. True? Fiorina and Khalid al-Mansour. Say it ain’t so! http://canadafreepress.com/article/23814

“Carly Fiorina (aka Cara Carleton Sneed) sat on the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, which has observer status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

But congressional support for global governance will not wane on Carly’s watch. Agenda 21 and “sustainable development” are the new buzz words for “global socialism” through global governance and Carly sits on the Foundation Board at the mother ship.

This is by no means new for Fiorina though. Her affiliation with global activists dates back many years and includes some of our nation’s most nefarious characters.

An inquiring reporter worth his or her salt should be asking Carly to describe her long-term relationship with Dr. Khalid al-Mansour—aka Don Warden, Black Panther puppet master, Saudi Royal front-man and Obama education financier? ..”

    Oh, apparently, it be so.

  7. History repeats itself. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/09/video-elderly-asian-man-savagely-attacked-by-black-man-in-california/

An elderly Asian man named Nguyen is apparently another victim of the “Knockout Game” wherein black men, for no reason at all other than hatred and racism, punch and otherwise assault people of any race but black. The 80-something victim is alive, but in the hospital with head injuries. Pray for him. Is it something about the name Nguyen?

    • Sharia law is incompatible with the US Constitution. If the Founders took stock in it back in the 18th Century it would be evident.

Muhammed ripped off the story of Abraham in 625 AD. A little late to the party if you ask me. Talk about the Dark Ages. Remnants. Jealous of Isaac and revenge for Ishmael to this day.

I don’t hear the Pope demanding Canon Law or Die. Sharia Go Home!

  8. A MAJORITY of Americans AGREE with Carson! No Muslim president (which is why the media went so crazy DENYING the OBVIOUS about Barry). http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/09/majority-of-americans-agree-with-ben-carson-on-opposing-muslim-as-us-president/

“57 percent agreed with the statement, “I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation.” Only 27 percent did not agree with 17 percent not sure.”

Therefore, according to Huffpo, 57% of Americans are bigoted Islamophobes. NO, we’re just aware of this OTHER poll:

“A poll commissioned in May 2015 by the Center for Security Policy showed that 51 percent of American Muslims preferred that they should have their own Shariah courts outside of the legal system ruled by the U.S. Constitution. And nearly a quarter believed the use of violent jihad was justified in establishing Shariah.

“That would translate into roughly 300,000 Muslims living in the United States who believe that Shariah is ‘The Muslim God Allah’s law that Muslims must follow and impose worldwide by Jihad,'” writes Frank Gaffney Jr., president of the Center for Security Policy.”

The story goes on to say that they plan to infiltrate, proselytize, and outnumber non-muslims and hopefully take over at the STATE level, which confirms what I suspected might be what al-Jabbar was suggesting.

OBVIOUSLY, it’s in the muslims’ “best” interest to continue to guilt non-muslims with the label of Islamophobe, because that does what?

It makes people STOP speaking the truth about islam and its true purpose, which is to DEFEAT ALL OTHER RELIGIONS AND POLITICAL FORMS. To IMPOSE a MUSLIM THEOCRACY and SHARIA LAW throughout the entire world. To suppress all other religions. In other words, to force SUBMISSION–which is what “islam” means in the first place. Taqiya and kitman. It’s how they roll. But apparently at least 57% of the American people GET IT.

Two, count them, TWO articles in my local paper today spoke about the BIGOTS in Texas who profiled that clever muslim teen who “made” or “invented” a clock but who was arrested instead of applauded. This was TODAY. One writer writes for the “religion” page, which is actually more of a “bash religion” page and a place where ATHEISTS and “humanists” bloviate. The other writer is a family-type columnist who happens to be muslim herself. While calling others biased, she reveals her own bias. How?

Neither writer is apparently aware of, or (worse) just ignored, the FACT that that kid built NOTHING. It was not a “homemade” anything. It was not an invention. It was a hoax or a planned provocation. This is KNOWN, if not reported in the MAINSTREAM media, DELIBERATELY. However, surely these writers knew or just IGNORED the truth in order to further their SLANDER against the police and the school officials in Texas by calling them BIGOTS.

These so-called journalists also do not seem to know that they don’t know THE WHOLE STORY and that’s also deliberate because the family will not ALLOW the officials to tell the story. Texas law requires privacy for the school child.

But knowing only half the story (as with the false “hands up, don’t shoot” narrative) the “journalists” go on to slander the cops and teachers as BIGOTS, with no proof whatsoever except the obviously suspicious narrative told by the family.

This isn’t journalism. You don’t label people bigots without any proof!

These articles are lies and propaganda. Even so, the stories were run without any “fact checking”. WHY? What’s their agenda?

Well, the pope has spoken to our congress and spewed out all kinds of criticism of us and our country and told us how we should act. I have had big issues regarding the supremes lately but I’ll give it to them, only 4 of the 9 attended: three Catholic (Roberts, Kennedy, Sotomayor) and one Jewish(Ginsburg). Those who didn’t attend: A big YEA! Catholic( Alito, Thomas, Scalia) Jewish (Breyer, Kagan).
He invoked the golden rule stating it is our responsibility to “defend humane life at every stage of it’s development” So, it seems we are to abolish our death penalty since “every life is sacred”, while never mentioning abortion or Planned Parenthood. What a nasty pig!!
Then he called us out on helping the immigrants, the illegal alien ones, as if we aren’t already giving them welfare, medical care and educating their children for free. I say Francis, before you come into a country and spew out all these kinds of accusations, do a bit of research so you know what the heck you are talking about.
There is a very good article by Matthew Vadum today in http://www.canadafreepress.com called Radical Pope.

  13. Rosemary Woodhouse

Spot on, Miri. That muslim woman’s statement about being the majority soon should send chills up everyone’s spine.

On another note, forgive me Padre for I have sinned: I HATE THE POPE! I feel as if my head is about to spin around 180 degrees. Different film, same theme.

  14. a bit of the pope …. & worse things ….going down so sad…???

  15. Little reported news department:
The 9-11 victory mosque at ground zero NYC will not be built

You didn’t here it on Megyn Kellu or CNN!

  16. I have suspected, for at least a year, that the profound lack or rain in California is a government intiated phenomenon,

Now here is some one whois so smart that they agree with me!!

    Why Calyfornya?

    No reason, just chaos wanted.
I guess it is asier for somebody to believe that Calyfornya rather than Kansas is getting it’s comeuppance.

I lived there for fifteen years, nothing close to that happend then.
I lived in Solana Beach, cool lttle surfing town about 20 miles north of San Diego. I would still recommend the Belly Up Taven as a relaxed night spot.

Anyways a year and a bit to go. Stay safe, stay calm, no violence, thr uduprt eo;; br frgrsyrf/

  17. And they act as if it’s an atrocity that Michael Brown was in the street, under a blanket, for four hours because the angry mob interfered with crime scene investigation. Look how the Saudis treat the pilgrims who died at their holiest of holy sites! http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/09/saudi-hajj-chief-blames-africans-for-deadly-stampede-that-killed-over-700/

Bulldozed and dumped unceremoniously into a pile!

  18. WTF is Trump saying here? http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/09/video-donald-trump-were-going-to-round-up-illegals-in-very-humane-way-and-nice-way-and-theyre-going-to-be-happy/

“We’re rounding them up in a very humane way and very nice way. And they’re going to be happy because they want to be legalized.”

EXCUSE ME? So he’s promising to get tough on illegals by making them go back where they came from but instead is (what?) promoting a version of “comprehensive immigration reform?” WHERE in his stated policy does he call for making ILLEGALS “LEGALIZED”? Has he changed his position?

    Here’s the video:

Sending illegals home is not the same as finding A WAY to make them “legalized”. We DON’T WANT ILLEGALS LEGALIZED. WE DON’T WANT ANOTHER AMNESTY. He should clarify, and soon. Or sign a PLEDGE LIKE HE GAVE THE REPUBLICANS PROMISING NOT TO RUN AS A THIRD PARTY CANDIDATE.

  19. Trying to get idiots to understand. Idiots who have prejudged you as a bigot, without LISTENING TO AND UNDERSTANDING AN ARGUMENT. Carson is spot on. Tapper, apparently, does NOT know what islam is and doesn’t even try to bother to comprehend. He’d prefer to imply that Carson is a bigot.

  20. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015/09/kareem-abdul-jabbar-sharia-law-does-not-condone-killing-and-rape-thats-just-crazy-video/

“Maria Bartiroma: We know that Sharia law means killing homosexuals, women are subserviant to men. Tell me about Sharia Law.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: Islam does not OK the things that you just mentioned, killing people, rape, all of these things that have been associated now with Sharia law. That’s crazy. None of the people that have that criticism of Sharia Law have checked out the law. Because it’s not even for non-Muslims. Sharia law is for ruling an Islamic state.”

Did she ask the pertinent question?

Here are more questions: Do Christians in islamic states fall under sharia or are they just exterminated from the state, so it doesn’t matter? In the Ottoman Empire, what was the status of Christians and Jews? Did they NOT have to follow the tenets of sharia law? I think they did. Or die.

  21. More truth about the muslim clock “inventor”:

What’s new is that the teacher who found the device did not KNOW who it belonged to and reacted only to the device itself, as suspiciously looking like a bomb. CAIR wants to set up sharia courts in that part of TX and is being challenged by those who want to pass laws banning that possibility. Another thing worth noting: This incident happened the day after the anniversary of 9/11.

  22. A man with a Plan. 😀
