Houston, we have a problem. Citizens of the USA, have you heard about this outrage? U.S. troops, our very own troops, smuggling illegal aliens into the country!
So far, four soldiers stationed at Fort Hood, in Texas, have been caught (thrice) smuggling illegal aliens into the country that they’re sworn to protect and preserve:
Yashira Marie Perez-Morales of Killeen pleaded guilty Wednesday [8/26/15] in Brownsville to immigrant smuggling charges. …
Christopher David Wix of Abilene was sentenced last month to a year and a day in federal prison. Two other Fort Hood soldiers, Eric Alexander Rodriguez of Odem and Brandon Troy Robbins of San Antonio, await sentencing.
A civilian, Arnoldo Gracia of Harlingen, also pleaded guilty to smuggling-related counts and awaits sentencing.
The civilian apparently acted as the coyote, delivering the illegal aliens to the soldiers, who used their military credentials and (apparently) their personal vehicles to get the illegal aliens through the Border Patrol checkpoint at Sarita, Texas, hidden under military equipment.
Interestingly enough, Perez-Morales appeared before Judge Andrew S. Hanen. Judge Hanen is the official who issued an injunction against the implementation of Obama’s illegal executive order, which was intended to allow illegal aliens to stay in the U.S. “legally” and even get work permits, so they could (continue to) take jobs and benefits from U.S. citizens, costing us billions.
Did you hear about this case before? It’s interesting, very interesting, how little national publicity this outrage has received.
So many questions were left unanswered by the stories I read:
Were all of these soldiers U.S. citizens?
What kind of punishment will they receive? They could get 10 years in prison. So far, one got only a year and a day in prison, receiving leniency on account of his age, despite breaking his oath to the USA. (Three are yet to be sentenced.)
How is it possible for them to have been caught smuggling on three different occasions, over six months? Did nothing happen to them the first time they were caught?
What became of the illegal aliens? Were they set loose into the U.S.?
Were the soldiers paid for their services to the illegal aliens? If so, how much did they get; did they report the income to the IRS; and what became of their ill-gotten gains?
More important, have they as yet been dishonorably discharged from the military or will We the People be paying them benefits in the future?
If any of the guilty are not citizens of the U.S., were they or will they be deported?
Are they lucky to not be charged with treason? (Yep!)
How did the soldiers vet these illegal aliens, if they did? Could any of the interlopers have been foreign terrorists? (Yep!)
Breitbart covered this story and reported that the soldiers were successful in smuggling illegal aliens multiple times, before they were caught. Has anyone tried to round up those illegal scofflaws?
With the ascendency of Donald Trump as candidate for the presidency–a candidate who’s focused upon stopping illegal aliens from getting into our country–it’s no wonder that the Obama administration and the mainstream media would prefer to keep this story hushed up.
Clarification: The photo at the top is from an actual attempt to breach our border. However, it’s not a photo of the troops smuggling illegal aliens into our country. It’s just an apt photo taken by the Border Patrol, used here for the purpose of illustration.
