Happy Father’s Day 2015

This weekend we celebrate Father’s Day, which in the United States falls on the third Sunday of June, each year:

Father’s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. …

After the success obtained by Anna Jarvis with the promotion of Mother’s Day in Grafton, West Virginia, the first observance of a “Father’s Day” was held on July 5, 1908, in Fairmont, West Virginia, in the Williams Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church South, now known as Central United Methodist Church.

Grace Golden Clayton was mourning the loss of her father when, on December 1907, the Monongah Mining Disaster in nearby Monongah killed 361 men, 250 of them fathers, leaving around a thousand fatherless children. Clayton suggested her pastor Robert Thomas Webb to honor all those fathers. …

In 1910, a Father’s Day celebration was held in Spokane, Washington, at the YMCA by Sonora Smart Dodd, who was born in Arkansas. Its first celebration was in the Spokane YMCA on June 19, 1910. Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, was a single parent who raised his six children there. After hearing a sermon about Jarvis’ Mother’s Day in 1909 at Central Methodist Episcopal Church, she told her pastor that fathers should have a similar holiday honoring them. Although she initially suggested June 5, her father’s birthday, the pastors did not have enough time to prepare their sermons, and the celebration was deferred to the third Sunday of June. …

A bill to accord national recognition of the holiday was introduced in Congress in 1913. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson went to Spokane to speak in a Father’s Day celebration and wanted to make it official, but Congress resisted, fearing that it would become commercialized. US President Calvin Coolidge recommended in 1924 that the day be observed by the nation, but stopped short of issuing a national proclamation. Two earlier attempts to formally recognize the holiday had been defeated by Congress. In 1957, Maine Senator Margaret Chase Smith wrote a proposal accusing Congress of ignoring fathers for 40 years while honoring mothers, thus “[singling] out just one of our two parents”. In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honoring fathers, designating the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. Six years later, the day was made a permanent national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972.

And so Dad finally got his due! To all the fathers in our readership, we wish you a heartfelt

Happy Father’s Day!!!!

To my own dear father, who is no longer with us and to whom I will always be forever grateful for being my Dad:

Have you ever expressed any opinion of not being ashamed to be white? Have you ever even at a micro-aggression subconscious level thought you just might not be completely ashamed of being white? If you have children, have you ever got up any morning and failed to wish they were not white?
I thought so! Your silence convicts you! Guilty as charged!

The left wants everyone to be proud of their race and culture,
        ….. except whites ….. of course…

It’s a FLAG. WHAT THE HELL? The idiot kid who shot up the church said that the American flag made him sick, yet the left and the media are attacking the Confederate flag. I’m completely lost. This makes no good sense and simply proves that the left and the media will use ANY crisis to further their goals. This is revisionist history in action. I’m sick to my stomach today.

    • Yeah, a done deal. Check out the connection between DISNEY (Hollywood gay mafia, who love to corrupt our youth), ABC, ESPN, and Jender. http://www.ijreview.com/2015/07/370158-a-damaging-rumor-comes-out-about-espn-giving-caitylin-jenner-the-award-for-courage/

      • How bazaar the tranny has a male voice and is over 6 foot tall. How did mooch hell get his voice feminized?

        • Maybe things were taken care of before puberty? Other than that, there’s voice training. Some actresses go the other way, to make their voices deeper and throatier. Bacall and Kathleen Turner come to mind.

          • So bazaar I used to find a laugh or two out of it all but now it is meant to be in our face and I am sure it is meant to make us feel freaked. This is why I stopped working in psychiatry. I have worked in the field of psychiatry and substance abuse for many years. I did not want to work with these sexual identity issues as well as other dark issues that are becoming increasingly prevalent. It is not the field it used to be and I am concerned that psychiatry is becoming “re-education” and far too controlling. This stuff goes to the government along with the patient’s whole health history. No privacy and the IRS now handles the obamacare. We had to learn the new computer program that is now in every health system which is actually government healthcare. All going to a central data place which is I guess the IRS.
