Saint Valentine’s Day, also known as Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is a holiday observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it is not a holiday in most of them. …

A popular hagiographical account of Saint Valentine of Rome states that he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire. According to legend, during his imprisonment, he healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius. An embellishment to this story states that before his execution he wrote her a letter signed “Your Valentine” as a farewell. …

The day was first associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as “valentines”). In Europe, Saint Valentine’s Keys are given to lovers “as a romantic symbol and an invitation to unlock the giver’s heart”, as well as to children, in order to ward off Saint Valentine’s Malady. Valentine’s Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.

        I didn’t even think about that or remember that VJ was on SNL. Wow. That’s disgusting. There’s a “litmus test” for political views. She’s to be “punished” for being “politically incorrect” versus being just another brainless, moronic “progressive” or at least for not keeping her mouth shut if she’s not (a brainless, moronic progressive). However, the REAL punishment was dealt out to anybody unfortunate enough to tune into that fiasco. OMG. I couldn’t watch even one minute of it. Is was so NOT FUNNY. Oh, yeah. DENNIS MILLER, too. Kind of obvious, huh?

        Oh, I see. Just another case of “mistakes were made” by the cute very young assistant who MISTAKENLY (read deliberately, but with cover) gave VJ the “wrong” bracelet, which caused the usher to show her to the wrong room. WHO BUYS THAT? NOBODY.

      I doubt it. Somehow, there’s a different set of rules for the likes of the Clintons compared to, say, the governor of Oregon. I do think, in his case, it was political and the “scandal” was just an excuse to oust him in favor of the “first” openly bisexual female governor. What say you? Just a gut feeling.

      So, once again, he jumps the gun. Where’s any evidence these people were targeted because of their religion or what they look like? It was supposedly a dispute over parking, something that is quite familiar to people in many neighborhoods around the country. It’s the kind of dispute “neighbors” get into every day. Barry’s words sound much sharper than they did when he spoke (did he or did his spokesperson?) about the murder of that young woman by Islamic terrorists. Hmm. Do you think she was murdered in cold blood because of how she looked and how she worshipped? Barry must be disappointed that the alleged killer, in the NC case, is an ATHEIST and not one of those “high horse” Christians. Yes, these murders, like so many others (say, in Chicago, every day), are “brutal and outrageous.” So was the cold-blooded murder by “knockout game” of Mr. Nguyen in St. Louis. I don’t recall Barry’s outrage or any words at all about how that poor man was killed brutally and in a quite “outrageous” fashion, in front of his helpless wife, on account of how he looked, by black thugs. Where’s Barry’s outrage about the multiple cold-blooded murders taking place in the USA EVERY FREAKING DAY by gang-thugs? It’s truly sad that those young people lost their lives this way. RIP. But it’s similarly sad that hundreds are murdered in the USA on a daily basis, too often by Barry’s and Holder’s “people”, and yet neither of them has much to say about that, when, being in their positions and with their power, they MIGHT DO SO MUCH GOOD BY SPEAKING OUT AND BY ACTING TO STOP the slaughter.

    It is UNCLEAR whether she’ll be charged?!!!! How much did this “campus-wide bulletin” cost in terms of money, grief, fear, and deliberate DIVISION of students along ethnic, racial, religious lines? The HATE CRIME was in smearing “AMERICANS” and spreading LIES about “AMERICANS” for political/religious ends. She MUST BE CHARGED in order to nip this in the bud. LIES are lies and must be punished as the HARMFUL lies they are.

    I’m planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me. We’re planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we’ll need your help to make a few arrangements. We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I’m sure they handle those things the same way you do here So, would you mind telling your buddy, the President of Mexico , that I’m on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

    1. Free medical care for my entire family.
    2. English-speaking Government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
    3. Please print all Mexican Government forms in English.
    4. I want my grand kids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.
    5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.
    6. I want my grand kids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.
    7. Please plan to feed my grand kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
    8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license so I can get easy access to government services.
    9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but I don’t plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won’t make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.
    10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.
    11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put US. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
    12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
    13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.
    14. I want to receive free food stamps.
    15. Naturally, I’ll expect free rent subsidies.
    16. I’ll need income tax credits so that although I don’t pay Mexican taxes, I’ll receive money from the government.
    17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Government pays $4,500.00 to help me buy a new car.
    18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program so that I’ll get a monthly income in retirement.
