Sorry, RW. I forgot to tell you what I thought of that blog. It’s interesting, especially the article about the Spaniards in Hollywood. I have a proposal for that Almodovar: The life of Barry with his transgender nanny Turdi. (I’ve never been able to stand Penelope Cruz and now I know what it was about her that made me viscerally disike her.) That terrorist who married the Spanish actress sure doesn’t look like what he is, does he? Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Head of the Spanish branch of AQ. I suppose that means that Bardem and Cruz are tight with them and there they are in Hollywood. Hmm. I suppose that explains why “Hollywood” didn’t criticize him for standing up for the Palestinians in Gaza. btw, you know, the people there wouldn’t suffer all those problems IF they would not allow the terrorists sanctuary amongst them. Well, I suppose they’re their own sons and daughters, so what can they do? (Rather like the people who cower in places like Ferguson.)

Last night, I actually watched all the videos I could find on Tom Mboya’s funeral as I have a grand interest as to what was going on there in 60s. They’re very moving and I felt sorrow watching.
Then, I got to checking out all the Zebra murders in San Francisco… trying to place myself back then and what was I doing at that time. Seems I was wrapped up in the Vietnam war protests and mostly the Watergate hearings. Cannot believe I have no recollection of those murders except for what I read here a couple of years ago. All roads do seem to lead back to Chicago/ NOI… Still, have much more to learn about Mboya as it is so intriguing. I am all over the place… xo

Miri, this is crazy. The video that I was referring too was right up above my comment (to look at 4:56.) It has changed again! Came back just now to get the actual link and its a totally different video. The weirdest thing is when I posted it the other morning – it wasn’t the video I posted. It looks to me as though it has changed 3 times. It currently reads “Playlist” and Live Freeradiorevolution”. Not what I posted!

Papoose, wanted too watch too give you an opinion, but is it bloody? Just the thought of this makes me sick too my stomach. But if they show anything gruesome It’ll make me throw up, and I just don’t want too be stuck with the mental images. Know what I mean?
Not at all. Its just some guy on a rant. I am so glad to see a young person coming across like a normal American boy next door. The last of the Mohicans, methinks.
I, too, cannot stand to watch human suffering. I actually go weak in the knees. I have never watched that fake video. My concerns are wrapped about the lying fakers and their inconsistencies. Even the sight of that fake Boston Bomber victim being rolled in a wheel chair with both his legs blown off made me physically sick. Yeah, he was being rolled in a wheel chair, fake exposed bones and all, as if that was possible.
That was a wonderful rant. Whether or not he’s on the progressive (watches Maher?) or the conservative side, it’s great that the young are waking up to the threat that we ALL share.

I think I’m understanding the point your trying too make. If my understanding is right in the original video of the beheading I’ve read the video begins with a clip of Barry raising the prospect of US air strikes against Islamic State [ISIS] targets in Iraq, and that footage appeared to have been downloaded directly from the White House website, hummm. Then the video goes black, comes back with Foley saying some words for about 24 seconds, that appear to have been scripted. Then a subsequent speech by the masked jihadist, in which he warns the US of attacks.
Amazing…sounds like something too the effect its nothing more of a possibly faked video for Barry’s way out too keep from hitting ISIS? You attack us, we will kill US citizens. Pay us a ransom, just more money for them too keep building? Keep us in constant fear, so ISIS can gain even more ground?
Kinda reminds me of Benghazi where the State Department said that it was the video that was behind the attack in Benghazi.

Imminent Terrorist Attack Warning By Feds on U.S. Border

Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle born improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources have confirmed to Judicial Watch that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued. Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.
Specifically, Judicial Watch sources reveal that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is confirmed to now be operating in Juarez, a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas. Violent crimes are so rampant in Juarez that the U.S. State Department has issued a number of travel warnings for anyone planning to go there. The last one was issued just a few days ago.
Intelligence officials have picked up radio talk and chatter indicating that the terrorist groups are going to “carry out an attack on the border,” according to one JW source. “It’s coming very soon,” according to this high-level source, who clearly identified the groups planning the plots as “ISIS and Al Qaeda.” An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed, another source confirms. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not respond to multiple inquiries from Judicial Watch, both telephonic and in writing, about this information.
The disturbing inside intelligence comes on the heels of news reports revealing that U.S. intelligence has picked up increased chatter among Islamist terror networks approaching the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. While these terrorists reportedly plan their attack just outside the U.S., President Obama admits that “we don’t have a strategy yet” to combat ISIS. “I don’t want to put the cart before the horse,” the commander-in-chief said this week during a White House press briefing. “I think what I’ve seen in some of the news reports suggest that folks are getting a little further ahead of what we’re at than what we currently are.”
The administration has also covered up, or at the very least downplayed, a serious epidemic of crime along the Mexican border even as heavily armed drug cartels have taken over portions of the region. Judicial Watch has reported that the U.S. Border Patrol actually ordered officers to avoid the most crime-infested stretches because they’re “too dangerous” and patrolling them could result in an “international incident” of cross border shooting. In the meantime, who could forget the famous words of Obama’s first Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano; the southern border is “as secure as it has ever been.”
These new revelations are bound to impact the current debate about the border crisis and immigration policy.

You know, everybody compares the faces (which don’t match) and then last night I thought about comparing the body. Isn’t the beheaded guy much bigger all around than the journalist, who looks lean and lanky in all the photos I’ve seen? Just compare the chest size. The facial bones differ, too. Whether putting on a lot of weight erases prominent cheekbones is a question. Maybe inactivity, being confined, leads to weight gain. Who knows? But how can you explain missing pock marks and moles? At Free Republic, there was a post (iirc) about how experts admit that the beheading video was contrived. They believe there WAS a beheading but that what was shown on the video was not it. But they do believe the photo of the body with the head on the back is real. I didn’t see that and I’m not about to look at it. I did see one where the gory details were blurred out. Even so, this could be misdirection. They may say the video was contrived because they know that experts do exist and that people in the blogosphere (if not the lamestream) WILL analyze it and find it bogus. So they admit it up front, the way Barry mixes reality and lies together, to confuse and confound. So is Foley dead or not? Who knows? He might have died some other way and they staged a beheading for propaganda purposes. Who knows if they ever had him? I haven’t followed this story. Don’t even remember him being kidnapped or hearing his name over the past two years. Could he have been killed right away? If that man was beheaded, whoever he was, it’s not beyond comprehension to think that he was a volunteer for the cause.
There is a video of the actual “interview” that really needs to be seen. Maybe I’ll be able to track in down later tonight. You have to see these faces as they describe their brother’s first captivity – and all the rest.
I saw a story somewhere yesterday that said that Obama ordered social media to take the video off the Web. I haven’t watched that video, for obvious reasons, but in this story they had a still shot from the beheading supposedly in progress. I noticed immediately that there was no blood anywhere, although there is a stain on the front of his shirt, before (apparently) the knife struck. Now look in this story and you’ll see what might be blood on the back of his shirt, but it looks more like the stain (sweat?) that was on the front before the beheading. However, that does look like blood on the backs of his legs, near the ankles. There’s also what looks like a puddle of blood under his torso, that may have fell there before he fell. However, you’d expect there to be blood in the vicinity of his neck. How long until a heart stops beating? It’s horrible, whatever it is.
Barry announces that they tried to rescue him but unfortunately failed. People got up in arms immediately because, as usual, Barry’s putting his own image above every other consideration (such as national security and revealing intelligence tactics). He’s also trying to deflect blame. Then there’s news that he dithered for a month or more, from the time the rescue mission was first proposed to him and when it was finally, allegedly, carried out after he gave the go-ahead. He was afraid that if it failed he’d be “Carterized”. They say our guys got in and got out successfully, but it failed because BY THAT TIME, they’d moved Foley elsewhere.
It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Not only did Foley look well fed, but he also looked better fed than he did in early interviews shown on FOX. Of course, he was younger then but truly–that man who was beheaded didn’t look much like Foley to me. Then again, I suppose being captive for 2 years amongst Muslim jihadists can age a person. Why didn’t he struggle?
As for him reading that script, I had the same thought. Especially weird was the message to his brother, telling him that the brother was complicit in murdering Muslims and, in essence, the brother is to blame for James being beheaded. What a nice legacy.
If you knew you were going to die, would you lay something like that on your brother (provided you were on good terms with him)? There’s always the Stockholm Syndrome to consider. Maybe he “turned.” Maybe he was going willingly, sacrificing himself for 72 virgins, which might explain WHY he would put that guilt trip on his brother. Why else unless for the “cause” and because he has learned to hate Westerners, including his brother?
James Foley had a number of identifying marks. Moles (next to his nose on his right side and on his neck below his chin). Also a gap between his teeth. However, he seemed to have a smooth forehead and to NOT have that vertical line down the center. I’m not in the mood for any more photographic comparisons. Suffice it to say that this could have been a suicidal jihadist doppelganger.

You have to be kidding me Miri. When I first looked at the pictures I thought they were of the same person. A mole in the exact same spot? Even if they were identical twins what would the odds be?
I really don’t know about moles and identical twins. A geneticist might be able to answer that one. I’m sure getting moles is an inheritable trait, but do twins get the same ones in the same place? It sure is a coincidence. This Michael does, however, look younger. I thought I’d made a mistake and got a photo of the same person, too. It’s weird.

They come across as poor actors feeding off one another. At the end of the interview, the brother pleads his case as to why we must take action. Its just not credible to me.

It’s not credible because it’s not what it purports to be. It’s a political agenda being forwarded by these people, whoever they are. I’m guessing from context that this particular sister is the Navy nurse. I can’t view the video at the links, for some reason. I’ll have to go look for them on You Tube. Maybe they know there’s controversy in the blogosphere so they’re blocking the interviews? I click the video but nothing happens.
Mom says he was home for his birthday in 2012. That was Oct. 18. Sister said she talked to him on phone on Thanksgiving, right before he was kidnapped, and he didn’t know it was Thanksgiving. That was Nov. 22, same year. When did he return to Syria and how could he forget Thanksgiving, with such a large and “privileged” (Mom’s word) family? Surely Thanksgiving at their home is Martha Stewart wonderful.
The children in Syria “touched him so much,” his mother says. Then his brother goes on a campaign for more negotiation with terrorists to ransom captives or trade terrorist leaders for them, which will only lead to more murders of children by decapitation, with their heads on stakes. So, you see, their narratives conflict.
Were there REALLY children’s heads on stakes or is it just more of the scary evil ISIS narrative put out to justify whatever it is they’re planning over there? I found a video where some guy says it’s a false flag because they want to get us behind air strikes in Syria. But he says the powers want to overthrow Assad. But that’s counter intuitive, at least to me. If you attack Assad’s enemies, how does that dethrone Assad? Assad is allied with Iran, is he not? Shiites while the “rebels” are Sunni, right? Wait. Syria is majority Sunni (so is Egypt and Libya, both also recently having a change of government). But Assad, like Saddam and others who have been overthrown in the Middle East are SECULAR. So why would the U.S. continue to help overthrow SECULAR states in favor of ISLAMIC states, no matter which flavor of Islam they’re associated with? Muslim Brotherhood. The answer is scary. The Saudis have endless bags of money. They are the source of radical Islam and they want to rule a Caliphate.
All I know is that this is bizarre. The parents do seem more believable than the siblings. Notice that this interview is by MIKA. No coincidence? He was FROM THE ELITE, like Barry, so another similarity. He was in Teach for America. These people remind me of the Kennedys. No? Did you know they got a 20 minute call from Pope Francis? The mother compares her son to the Pope as well as to Jesus.
There’s very little about the Global Post except that they are connected to PBS. They tried to negotiate with the terrorists to arrange paying the ransom of over $130 MILLION dollars.

That explains who “Clare” is. When the mother talks about the world community and all people being together to embrace the suffering … well, it’s weird. I don’t get it. It’s sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows and unicorns. Their son was supposedly just murdered by EVIL people who behead children–or so we’re supposed to believe. They’re making a foundation. So what else is new?
I see now where they come up with the hero meme: He “volunteered to go first.” Now they have no way of knowing that, but why let truth or reality get in the way of a good legend?
Why is it so important for these people to “spark change” in government policy so that we NEGOTIATE with terrorists? The only thing that would accomplish is to give the terrorists who murdered their brother more money to use to MURDER MORE INNOCENT PEOPLE and a psychological win, or, if they give them Guantanamo prisoners in return, a return to the field of their leaders who will lead more terror attacks to kill more innocent people.
SO, if their brother truly did volunteer to die first, and if he’s a hero who cares more about others than himself, THEN IT WOULD DISHONOR HIS SACRIFICE TO PROMOTE PAYING OFF TERRORISTS SO THEY CAN KILL MORE INNOCENT PEOPLE. RIGHT? Of course, you can’t expect the likes of Katie Couric to point out the lack of logic.

It’s scary is what it is.
I was pondering this phenomenon while I was washing dishes tonight. Is it just that we all grew up in a time when people were more private, so WE wouldn’t think to go on camera right after a loved one died, especially so horribly? Is it that these younger generations are accustomed to being “on stage” all the time, such as on Twitter and Facebook, with every moment of their lives documented, ooh-ed and ah-ed over, as they post photos of the food they eat and drinks they drink and vacations they take and clothes they bought? Could this be why it seems normal to them to rush to the TV cameras whenever a tragedy befalls their families because, you know, it’s ABOUT THEM and not the victims? I don’t get it.

Why would it possibly be amusing to both of them that this is the second time their brother was kidnapped (and remember, he got his head cut off this second time)? I’m just puzzled to the max. It’s like an inside joke with them. But who’s the joke on?
The only thing I can think that would make one smile in such a situation is that a person is putting one over on the hostess (that being Katie) OR the brother, perhaps, was not really KIDNAPPED in either instance but he WAS putting something over on someone.
Isn’t the brother who James Foley basically blamed for his own death the one named John? So not this particular brother. They have a large family, this brother says.
Now my opinion about the girls. They look amazingly alike and yet I don’t believe they’re the same person. The voices differ, too. They could be clones, and I don’t say that entirely facetiously. Ditto for James and Michael. How can one have the same mole in the same location? It’s just bizarre.

I don’t see the mole but the photo was small in the lamestream media and when it’s enlarged, it blurs. I think that was deliberate.
They say that Barry is going to attack ISIS inside Syria. They also say how insensitive it was for Barry to tee off only minutes (like 7?) after speaking about Foley’s decapitation. Now he’s a cold-hearted thing, as we know, but maybe it was of no concern if Foley was an agent and the “job” was well done. So if Barry attacks ISIS, then he helps Assad and Assad is on the side of Iran, right? I lose my mind trying to figure out the players here. What’s the theory? He armed them first, didn’t he? To help overthrow Assad, right? Or am I misremembering? Benghazi was to send arms to the rebels in Syria from Turkey through Libya. Right? Are these different rebels or the same?

When I first saw the parents interview my jaw dropped… then that brother walks up behind them and it seemed as though they were all going to bust out laughing for a split second.
Yea, I was wondering about the brother John, too, as he just didn’t come across to me as a military person. Plus, he pontificates as to the course of action the US needs to take as if this was the actual purpose of the interview. I’m not sure because I could not stomach it any further, but I think he implied we should exchange Gitmo prisoners for American hostages. Just like with Sandy Hook, i.e., gun control lectures…

James Foley was one of a new breed of activists calling themselves journalists. He didn’t travel to report on a story, but to promote an agenda. And the agenda was obvious from his Twitter feed.
Any human life lost is tragic, but a moral individual would have much more empathy for the Syrian Christians who suffered at the hands of Foley’s favorite Jihadists than one of their pet propagandists. For the most Foley only mentioned Syrian Christians when he was promoting the myth that the Sunni Jihadists were actually a secular democracy-loving force that incorporated Christians and Kurds on equal terms.
Foley came to Syria to support the Sunni Islamist rebels against the Syrian government. He was a vehement advocate and while he didn’t necessarily side with any single group, he echoed the one sided narrative rather than telling the truth about the Islamists. His Twitter feed was full of urgings to arm the Jihadists.
Meanwhile he sneered at America’s War on Terror.
He cheered on the Sunni Muslim terrorists fighting to ethnically cleanse the Christians of Aleppo. In the conflict between Israel and Hamas, his tweets and retweets were chock full of pro-Sunni Syrian terrorist propaganda.
When Newsweek’s Muslim Rage cover story came out, Foley mocked it too. Raging Muslims. How silly and Islamophobic.

“This wasn’t the first time he [Foley]was kidnapped by his Muslim buddies, whose extremism he championed. And not the first time they killed a fellow pro-jihad journalist in his midst. In 2011, Foley was kidnapped and nearly executed by other Islamic terrorists he championed against Qaddafi in Libya. He was kept in captivity by them for 44 days, and at least one other journalist–a photographer–was executed by them. Yet, he continued to champion their cause anyway. He, like Obama, McCain, Romney, and Paul Ryan, wanted us to side with these guys, insisting that the Free Syrian Army–a very tiny part of the Syrian rebel amalgam–was “moderate” and that by giving them arms, money, and training, we would impose HAMAS/Hezbo-style “democracy” on Syria, instead of keeping these people with the brutal dictator that most Muslims really need in spite of–and because of–themselves.

How does the announcement of this other hostage, the 26-year-old American woman (aid worker instead of journalist this time), fit into this plan or narrative? Already they’re talking about how much ransom ISIS wants for her. Supposedly she was captured a while ago but they say they don’t announce the kidnappings on account of it might endanger their lives. How? The price for Foley was something over a hundred million bucks and I heard that the family was trying to RAISE that much. Someone on FOX News channel said that these ransoms have been a major funding source for ISIS but now that they’ve got control of resources like water and oil, they don’t need the hostages so much. Isn’t it a CRIME to pay ransom to terrorists because, in essence, it’s funding terror and causing MORE PEOPLE TO DIE? People put themselves in these situations. “Journalists” and “aid workers” and then you have to wonder how many are really what they pretend to be. We have that American kid killed over there because he openly JOINED ISIS. How many others may belong but pretend otherwise? SAD was also supposedly an “aid” worker. People who go there are presented as noble. We know that some of them are sympathetic (openly so) to the Muslims and the “rebels”. If they’re noble, would they not sacrifice their own lives if it meant that terrorists would NOT be funded to go on to murder others? I mean, ISIS has beheaded little INNOCENT children and put their heads on posts. Is that what the ransoms paid have funded? Is that a noble cause or a noble act? IS FOLEY A “HERO” as his parents say? How so? Seriously, he’s perhaps a victim, but since when are victims HEROES? I didn’t watch the videos completely to hear what these people were saying. I was just looking at the faces. But I’ll watch them now to consider what’s being said. I assume the the Foleys are Irish-Americans? Don’t know if that’s relevant but it may be.
The U.S. could have done more? IF we’re to believe Barry (and who would?), he sent troops into Syria to try to rescue Foley. This effort failed but it must have cost a pretty penny AND all the service men and women who participated RISKED THEIR LIVES to rescue a JOURNALIST. They didn’t even do that for Bergdahl, did they? How about the poor border patrol guy who’s STILL held by MEXICO?
Risk American lives and spend millions to rescue one journalist? Maybe he’s NOT a journalist. Ya think?
How about Ambassador Chris Stevens, his four dead Rescuers and the 33 injured witnesses they disappeared?

He won, judge said he could practice law in the state! California mulls bill to remove guns from potential offenders

A bill allowing family members to ask a judge to order firearms removed from people likely to commit gun violence advanced in California on Wednesday, one of several gun control measures up for votes in the last week of the state’s legislative session.
The measure was introduced after police near Santa Barbara said they were unable to confiscate weapons from a man who later went on a rampage and killed six people, despite concern from his family that he was in poor mental health and might become violent.
The bill passed the senate 23-8. It passed the assembly once, but now goes back for a vote on amendments before heading to Democratic Governor Jerry Brown.
If Brown, who has steered a centrist course on gun control legislation, signs the bill, California would be the first U.S. state to enact such a law.
“Nothing can bring back the life of my son, but there are common-sense solutions that can help ensure other loved ones aren’t killed by preventable gun violence,” said Richard Martinez, whose son, Christopher Ross Michaels-Martinez, was killed by 22-year-old Elliott Rodger in the rampage in Isla Vista in May.

This certainly seems fundamentally unconstitutional on several levels. You cannot punish someone in advance for something you think they might do. I’m no lawyer, but it seems to me that the legal theory would be similar to that of prior restraint, that holds it’s unconstitutional to censor expression before it happens (even though Barry seems to do it all the time, through intimidation). This theory is usually applied to the media, due to their Constitutional right to freedom of the press. How can you deny to an individual a CONSTITUTIONAL right based solely upon the opinion of a family member?

There’s a new organization holding demonstrations in St. Louis. Protesting and rushing cops, demanding to meet with the U.S. Attorney–Richard Callahan. They got their meeting. I can only imagine how that would have worked out if these were members of the Tea Party. Anyway, the group is called Hands Up United. On their webpage, they mention being associated with Van Jones. The news stories have NOT mentioned the name of the group (so nobody can do research and see who they really are). The stories said things like “African-American activists” and used the word “local”. I saw Malik Zulu Shabazz in the middle of the protest, organizing it. The media won’t report his presence or involvement. Gee, I wonder why? I also wonder whether or not this new group, which is collecting donations, will get a backdated not-for-profit status, like the other Malik did.

Miri, regarding the Hands Up United group. I’ve looked nothing, like you said they do not want anyone too know who is organizing them. I have a very good guess though, Black Panthers. Back in 68′ Bobby Hutton, the Black Panther Chief Demanded an Indictment against the officers that shot Bobby Hutton. The Black Panthers have been organizing for something just as this, a Hands Up United ever since Hutton was shot. They even brought this up at the protest in L.A. at the below link.

You know, they finally reported that Malik Shabazz (left out his middle name: Zulu) is the one suing the city of Ferguson and the city and county police chiefs (but not Ron Johnson) for hundreds of millions of dollars over alleged civil rights violations when protesters were tear-gassed. They mentioned Shabazz’s association with some black lawyers organization (gee, they didn’t ask whether that’s racist or not–having a separatist lawyer organization). They also did NOT mention his association with the NBPs nor with Farrakahn and other radicals. So they’re covering for him. You know, to report the TRUTH might just cause whites to be MORE racist. It’s like how they protect us from news about Muslim terrorism. It’s just to keep U.S. citizens from becoming MORE Islamophobic.

These guys all talk about how we need to have a “conversation” about race and start “listening” to each other, but everyone on the progressive side does NOT want a discussion or to listen to anyone. They want to LECTURE and REPROGRAM. They say things like, “some people NEED to learn that they are PRIVILEGED.” Is that how you begin a “conversation”? They talk about microaggressions which are PERCEIVED insults or aggressions (versus REAL ones like pushing a little store clerk and looming over him to intimidate him). No, these “microaggressions” are clever in that the only people who perceive them are the so-called recipients of them and the reason the aggressor doesn’t see them? Well, it’s because he or she was born with the original sin of RACISM. It’s no way to start a conversation by alleging that every white individual human being you meet is a RACIST. WAS BORN THAT WAY and MUST BE REDUCATED. Actually, they don’t want reeducation. They firmly believe that racism can’t be cured and that the only solution for them is REVENGE. Also, reparations (we take your stuff and redistribute it because it’s really ours) and tit for tat (now it’s OUR turn to be privileged and for YOU to be disadvantaged). Do you believe that’s not what some want?
Let’s have a conversation and let’s see them listen to how a little white child who’s forced in school to act the part of a racist white cop shooting down an unarmed black child FEELS. This is bullying. This is CHILD ABUSE. And it goes on in OUR SCHOOLS where black teachers take the opportunity to exact REVENGE on little white CHILDREN who are now in their power. Do you believe some will LISTEN to this and actually digest what it means? What it says about the corruption and the hatefulness in academia? Is THIS what MLK wanted?

After seeing how police officers are being reprimanded for speaking out and after reporters are being forced to GROVEL and APOLOGIZE for DARING to write the truth that Mike Mike was “no angel,” is it possible for us to have a “conversation” on race? I doubt it. No, they want to LECTURE everyone and reeducate them in “right think”, which just happens to be the Democrat Party’s agenda. That’s the solution. Sharpton says so. Vote for Democrats. Otherwise, black kids will be shot dead in the streets by racist white cops. This is the second coming of, “if you don’t vote (for Democrats), another black church will burn.”

Rep. Elijah Cummings, along with other members of the Congressional Black Caucus, sent a letter Monday to President Barack Obama, urging the administration to pursue changes to local law enforcement structure to “prevent more Fergusons,” including a federal czar to oversee local law enforcement.
“The administration must quickly establish a national commission to review existing police policies and practices,” the letter reads. “And identify the best policies and practices that can prevent more Fergusons and vastly improve policing in communities across the nation.”
In addition to the commission, the letter calls for the appointment of a federal czar within the Justice Department to monitor and oversee local police departments that receive federal funding.
Besides Cummings, a Maryland Democrat, Democratic Reps. Marcia Fudge of Ohio, Steven Horsford of Nevada, John Lewis of Georgia, Gwen Moore of Wisconsin and Barbara Lee of Texas signed the letter, as well as AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and actress Cynthia Nixon.
The letter comes the same day as the funeral for 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was shot and killed Aug. 9 by a Ferguson, Missouri, police officer. The letter says Brown “is only the latest in a long list of black men and boys who have died under eerily similar circumstances.”
“The pattern is too obvious to be a coincidence and too frequent to be a mistake,” the letter reads, while acknowledging that many facts regarding Brown’s death are still unclear.
The letter notes both “systemic racial bias” and the militarization of police departments as “dangerous trends” and outlines a number of actions for the administration to address, including racial bias training for every local police department under guidelines set by the Justice Department. It also calls upon the Justice Department to set and implement national standards for investigations when police shoot unarmed victims as well as to set, implement and monitor diversity hiring and retention. The letter urges the administration to suspend programs that provide local police with military equipment while authorizing support under existing grants to foster more engagement between local law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.

I thought maybe their aim is to also turn this into a gun control issue as well as a disarm the cops issue, like they used to have in the UK. Unarmed cops. I see people talking about billy clubs. Right. That would have stopped Mike Brown.
I didn’t realize there’s a push to federalize all police, but that’s almost basically what happened in MO. I mean, Barry makes a call to the DemoncRAT governor and next thing you know the governor ILLEGALLY pushes aside the city police chief and the county police chief and installs a commander from the HIGHWAY PATROL. It’s insane. Only after the Prosecutor reminded him that he doesn’t have that authority unless he declares a state of emergency, did Nixon (love that name!) do so. So it’s de facto federal control of the police, because Johnson said that he was “consulting” with the governor for 4 days before that decision was made and the governor was “consulting” with the WH.
I suspect that Barry knew about Johnson and nominated him for the position. With the NY Times writing puff pieces about Johnson that are basically untrue, with regard to how HE calmed things down and really took charge and was a success (he allowed looting), they are probably positioning Johnson for a place on some Democrat ticket somewhere, sometime. He’s even building the narrative with his BS about going into his son’s bedroom when this is all over. His sons are ADULTS, not little children. There are other parables about himself being profiled and discriminated against. I can’t remember them all at the moment. Just like Barry.
The federal government has ABSOLUTELY NO CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY TO INTERFERE IN STATE OR LOCAL POLICING. NONE. I didn’t know about that CBC proposal, but it figures. His Brownshirts?
What gets me is McCaskill (at first I typed McCackle and that works, too!), Obama, and the rest of the DemoncRATS crying out about the militarization of the police, acting outraged, pretending they read about it in the paper, when THEY’RE THE ONES WHO DID IT. Barry is the one cutting down the military and having the Pentagon sell off or give away all this equipment. NOW, he’s shocked, shocked, to see the police militarized. They lead them in DRILLS. They know about it. The only thing I can figure is that they hadn’t planned for the deployment to ever be against HIS “people”.
We didn’t hear them griping about the SWAT teams in Boston or on the Bundy Ranch. That was okay. Mostly white people terrorized. We’ve been reading about and writing about this militarization since Barry got into the WH.

They’re going to try to use alleged civil rights violations to push something through like this, which is similar to how they took over voting/elections in states where they claimed there was a “pattern” of oppression of black voters. (Today, now, they’re trying to ramp up protests over that justified shooting of the black guy with a knife. This, they say, is violation of his civil rights because he was “obviously” mentally ill and they shouldn’t have defended themselves. They’re working on Mike Mike being mentally ill, too. Wait for it. And, you know, there’s always that “science” that says teens aren’t responsible for their actions because their brains aren’t formed.)
Anyway, so when they investigate police shootings of unarmed people, will cases like the one out west (Dillon Taylor?) get investigated, too, or will it only be there to protect blacks from whites and not vice versa? Probably won’t because Eric Holder believes that civil rights laws DON’T APPLY TO WHITES. IIRC, he said as much. That’s why he doesn’t prosecute hate crimes against whites because non-whites can’t BE racists. It’s a microaggression, you know, to even think so.
Oh, I’m sure they want MORE GRANTS to “foster more engagement” between cops and the “communities” Read: ACORN successors or community activists/organizers, so long as they’re BLACK. You’re not going to see communities in places like Lake Forest getting grants to foster engagement between cops and the swells. It’s just more redistribution. More enriching of the race baiters and continuation of the grievance industry.

Miri, your exactly right. iirc the program of giving local authorities the option to military surplus was first installed around 1998,1999, 2000 somewhere in that time period. But the program was to save the local authorities, police, sheriff, fire, BLM, ect. money by means of rather than local authorities having the expense of buying new it was a huge cost savings for them through first choice of equipment needed in these communities as giving them first choice at the equipment before it went to public auction. BUT when this program first started local authorities were only given the option in receiving fire trucks, water trucks, ambulances, forklifts, ect. They were not permitted anything even close to what you saw in Ferguson. Your exactly right saying militarization of the police, government agency’s started under this administration. Take all the ammo under this administration that they given too government agency’s, the BLM? The USPS? It has been THIS administration arming all local authorities. I’m ashamed to admit that I don’t know as much as I should about the Old Testament, although my Baptist grandma did her best to fill in where the Catholic upbringing was lacking. 🙂 Everybody knows that people believe differently. That’s what freedom of religion means. I’m always interested and happy to learn about different faiths and beliefs. I admit that I’ve tried to understand the Book of Revelations with little luck. And where’s THE authority on it? It seems that there are as many different interpretations as there are ministers in the world. I do certainly see some of the parallels and surely I do believe in, well, let’s just say he who shall not be named.
