He Gets No R S P E C T

A few select quotes about rEspect, with emphasis added.

Albert Einstein said,

Let every man be respected as an individual and no man idolized.

In his book The Brothers Karamazov, Fyodor Dostoyevsky wrote,

Above all, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.

Hunter S. Thompson said,

We cannot expect people to have respect for law and order until we teach respect to those we have entrusted to enforce those laws.

R. G. Risch said,

Respect is a two-way street, if you want to get it, you’ve got to give it.

Slavoj Žižek said,

For the multiculturalist, white Anglo-Saxon Protestants are prohibited, Italians and Irish get a little respect, blacks are good, native Americans are even better. The further away we go, the more they deserve respect. This is a kind of inverted, patronising respect that puts everyone at a distance.

Finally, apropos of the photo above, Habeeb Akande said,

Never pay attention to someone who has not earned your respect.

  2. Fascists and Nazis: http://www.infowars.com/college-professor-calls-for-climate-change-deniers-to-be-imprisoned/

“A professor with Rochester Institute of Technology has called for the incarceration of any American who actively disagrees that climate change is solely caused by human activity.

Lawrence Torcello, a philosophy professor with a Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo, published the comments as part of an essay submitted to the academic website The Conversation.

Torcello argues that malignant individuals, who he does not identify, are collectively organising a “campaign funding misinformation” about climate change. Torcello goes on to suggest that such activity “ought to be considered criminally negligent.” …”

Barry thinks humans not only caused “climate change” but that somehow we can STOP “climate change” and limit the rising temperatures to something like 2 degrees (Celsius). WHO exactly is scientifically illiterate? http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/03/13/us-eu-climatechange-usa-idUSBREA2C1X320140313

  3. I was just reading through some of Paul Kengor’s book on Obama and FMD; once again I can’t cut and paste from the site, but did you know Frank wrote about the African students who came to the U. of Hawaii and how “one from Kenya” left two pregnant blondes behind when he left?

    • No, I have no recollection. hmmm. I’ve often wondered if Ruth once vacationed in Hawaii. and bump. We only know she met the Kenyan in Massachusetts at different places at the same time because “they” told us.

    • I seem to vaguely remember that there were “rumors” about that. Hmmm. Haven’t we been told that at the time BHO Sr. was the ONLY black student there? Surely if he wasn’t, then maybe he was the only one from Kenya.

      • Yes! that was my thought too, he was the first African student there for sure. Actually there were likely other black students who were American, right? But FMD was apparently referring only to students who came from Africa and I don’t remember mention of there being any in that time frame even after BHO Sr. He made some crude references to their sexual proclivities..it’s in one of his books but it is out of print from what I found.
