Today marks the 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor:
On December 7, 1941, Japanese planes attacked the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory, killing more than 2,300 Americans. The U.S.S. Arizona was completely destroyed and the U.S.S. Oklahoma capsized. A total of twelve ships sank or were beached in the attack and nine additional vessels were damaged. More than 160 aircraft were destroyed and more than 150 others damaged.
A hurried dispatch from the ranking United States naval officer in Pearl Harbor, Commander in Chief Pacific, to all major navy commands and fleet units provided the first official word of the attack at the ill-prepared Pearl Harbor base. It said simply: AIR RAID ON PEARL HARBOR X THIS IS NOT DRILL.
The following day President Franklin Roosevelt, addressing a joint session of Congress, called December 7 “a date which will live in infamy.” Declaring war against Japan, Congress ushered the United States into World War II and forced a nation, already close to war, to abandon isolationism. Within days, Japan’s allies, Germany and Italy, declared war on the United States, and the country began a rapid transition to a wartime economy in building up armaments in support of military campaigns in the Pacific, North Africa, and Europe.
Today we remember those who died at Pearl Harbor. As we honor them, we should also remember and honor all who have served, especially those who gave their lives so that we may remain free.

My local paper, which publishes Milbank’s column, must have skipped this one, for some reason that I can guess at:

I beg to differ with Milbank, however. First, there are plenty of people who don’t just accuse Obama of “such subterfuge”, they KNOW that “such subterfuge” is TYPICAL of the Obama administration. Well, no doubt BARRY HIMSELF hasn’t airbrushed photos or played the infamous head games, where somebody photoshops a new head on a body in a photo and then presents the result as a snapshot from Obama’s past. He isn’t smart enough to know HOW to do such things, although the alterations to the photos are SO AMATEURISH that one might think Barry did it, except for the FACT that Barry does NOTHING for himself—that’s what minions are for when you’re an aspiring autocrat. Second, just because one might accuse Obama of “such subterfuge”, it doesn’t NECESSARILY follow that those same people BELIEVE that the BC is forged. There are plenty of otherwise intelligent people who seem to believe the BC is legitimate. Actually, IF there is an actual document produced by Hawaii, it MIGHT BE legitimate. It’s just NOT the same document as that thing pictured on the WH BLOG. It’s possible that Hawaii produced for him an “original” in April 2011 after he himself swore out an affidavit claiming birth in Hawaii. Their “law” allows such a thing to happen and of course it’s up to their officials to weigh the “evidence”, if any. Since the entire state of Hawaii is progressive, anything their officials accept TODAY is suspect. Correct me if I’m misremembering, but hasn’t the “White House” ALREADY admitted in at least one instance to photoshopping a picture?
After saying that NOBODY is accusing Barry of “such subterfuge”, he goes on to write:

We accuse because it’s TRUE. Note the caveat: He doubts (with no reason to doubt) that the “White House” is HEAVILY doctoring pictures. Heavily. Would swapping out heads qualify as “heavy” doctoring?
I suppose he means that we collectively are “nobody”. Yes, typical progressive logic: Unless you agree with Milbank, you’re not even human.
We’re not “birther types”, whatever the hell that means, so I’ll give him a name: Idiot type. A totally gullible sheeple type.
My paper didn’t run this article, either. They don’t want to give people ideas, especially since Milbank reports that young people WOULD “recall” Barry, given a chance. That’s EXCELLENT news but it explains his sudden doubling down on his Marxist agenda and the threats of doing everything by executive order. It’s crunch time now. A rat is never so dangerous as when it’s cornered.
Milbank claims that the members of the House know that impeachment wouldn’t get past the Senate. Does that matter? IF the House impeaches, doesn’t the Senate HAVE TO hold the trial? Much would come out during that trial, would it not? Would that NOT be an excellent way to let all the People KNOW exactly how Obama has flouted the law and the Constitution–something that’s especially important before next year’s election?
It just may be a matter of semantics, but “original” long form birth certificates were not typed on green security paper in 1961, so to me it will never be the original document, despite the manufactured forgeries on the piece of crap issued by the Oval Office.
I think what the obots mean when they call that thing the “original” is that it IS the original, meaning the first and only one, although trying to figure out how their twisted minds work means you have to abandon common sense for blind faith in the “messiah”. They may also mean that they believe that crap about Hawaii making an exception just for Barry and creating a new “original” (versus a computer-generated abstract) from his original original. It’s Clintonesque.
Two of the issues surrounding the birth certificate controversy have always bothered me: 1) The rank amateurishness of the fraud and 2) the initial release on Daily Kos. Neither makes any sense, if viewed from a position of truly trying to deceive people into believing the document is true and real. Then, of course, there are the other odd paper trails too. People with a billion dollars to spend on a campaign couldn’t find a good forger…the best in the world? Sure, they could.
I remember the thread on Daily Kos about creating birth certificates when it was ongoing. It’s MIA now, of course, but I read Kos back then daily to keep up with both sides, since, at that point, I had no idea what was going on. I’ve said before, and I still don’t discount the possibility, that the guy, whose name I’ve forgotten, but claimed to be a DHS document expert, didn’t actually make the first one…or someone else associated with Kos. They put it up, in true obot fashion, to jerk the ‘birthers’ around. Unfortunately, it went viral. The media jumped on it like a hawk on a field mouse. Suddenly, the joke was out of control. Possibly,it was a lesson in unintended consequences, but the learning curve arrived too late to the party. Rather than fight the wave, expose obot shenanigans, and embarrass media friendlies, Axelrod, or somebody in the campaign, decided to go with the flow. It was useful, no matter what. It set up the furtherance of the race narrative and it reassured the gullible.
Okay, they were locked into certain ‘mistakes’, like the father’s race as African, but when they felt compelled to produce the long form, could they still not get a professional forger? Of course, they could. So why didn’t they? Why churn out bad forgeries when they could get picture perfect ones?
It’s strategy. Now, it’s up to us to determine what that strategy is and all the layers that make it so useful.

Wasn’t there another site besides Kos that got the so-called SFCOLB simultaneously? Didn’t Fukino give it the thumbs up because, she claimed, it looks just like hers?
I add a third issue is the outright lie of the followers that they believe the forgeries to be real. They KNOW they are not and enjoy the power trip of the head game they play when they deny fraud and act like they believe it is real to family members that try to show it is fraud. They already know. I consider this training in and developing a craving for sadistic behavior. It has become a drug to them. They enjoy watching us get passionate and adamant about this. The minions have known all along and they feel important being in on the secret and laugh at us when we try to engage in conversation about these frauds. This explains their ever-so-condescending behavior towards those they love that don’t love Obama. Only thing is their trained behavior, based on the treat reinforcement of joy at making the “enemy” squirm, has gradually erased the familial love and they will turn on us. On a dime. We walked right into it; if we had not tried to get them to see the light (which they already knew) there would not have been the avenue for them to train to become sadistic little soldiers.
If I had such family members, I’d be cutting my invitee list for holiday “parties”. We know that WE will have the last laugh; unfortunately, the country will probably be lost by the time we get to laugh, and so we won’t feel much like laughing then. Nor will they. Generation X (or is it the Millenials?) are already souring on Barry. They can’t find jopssss. His policies are cutting their hours, if they do have jopsss. His policies are making them pay more for health care or pay that “tax”. Or they can’t find jopsss in the fields for which they trained, so they’re working in retail or fast food with their college degrees and their student loans to pay off. They put him in office and now they’re paying the piper. He made fools, especially, of all the WHITE kids who aren’t considered valuable enough to HIM to qualify as his “people” so that they benefit from his policies. Nope. They’re to be the PAYERS, not the PAYEES. They’ll pay in another way, too, but they won’t find that out for perhaps 20 to 30 years. When their parents die, there will be NO inheritance for them. That will be redistributed, too, to Barry’s people. How? Well, for one thing, he’s going after the parents’ retirement savings. Wants to seize 401k’s to fund all his schemes, just as they’ve “redistributed” the money we all paid into that imaginary “lockbox” over at Social Security. They’ve spent all that, so they have to find a new pile of money to rob–and that will be the WHITE middle class’s retirement savings. Another way, just wait for it, will be to make those with assets pay more for their Medicare. Will people with retirement savings but a low income get subsidies under Obamacare? If so, wait until they die. THEN the government will have “no choice” but to seize their assets to repay the government. It’s the Obama way.

I think you’re right that many of them know the document is forged and see it as a great big raspberry to the evil racists who dare question their chosen one. I doubt any of them in the trenches of the Internet actually know anything for certain about the man, but they may have heard some rumors from their own that explain certain discrepancies, which they accept unquestionably, then snicker about how they’re putting it to the dumb racists. But for them, these oddities don’t matter anyway. This is evidenced, I think, by how they will pull out ridiculous and verifiably false claims to support their position, then when exposed, change on a dime to another, but that doesn’t stop them from continuing to use the first one to muddy new waters. They’ll merely deny the documented source says what it does. It’s still useful for their purposes. Truth is relative anyway, and there’s little chance of them being swayed away from that position. They’re too distracted by the game they feel entitled to play to notice how dangerous the game is, a game which skillfully manipulates their pre-existing obsession with race and soothes their conscience with the constant outrage of superiors having to abide the uncooperative riffraff.
Besides, they have no real investment in the Constitution, except when it’s convenient to dust it off against an opponent. To them, the Constitution is fluid and means what they say it means. They are far more enamored with the idea of a ‘modern’ constitution, like France or Germany, that determines what the government ‘must’ do for the people, than they are in limiting its intrusion into people’s lives. In fact, them (in their minds, it’s only them) directing everyone else’s life by government force is a feature that they haven’t figured out yet that when those other people are under the thumb of the government, they are too.
Amazingly, they seem to think feudalism is a new idea, or whatever -ism applies, since there is often a mishmash of government supremacy ideas that conveniently roll with the tide. In their minds, progressivism is a new untainted ideology (new being relative to modern history as opposed to some crazy 18th Century idea of limited government and of man being capable of governing himself). It’s all about ‘progress’ and no parallels or connections exist, now or in historical context, with other -isms, if for no other reason than they believe they have perfected the flaws of the old -isms, so that there is only the uniqueness and superiority of progressivism remaining.
That said, I do think there are some who truly believe whatever they’re told, because they need to believe, and justify it by baptizing themselves into the collective theology of progressivism. They find camaraderie and absolution, along with the other members, in denying their own biases by projecting them onto others, which is why Alinsky works so well with them. Denial requires a lot of energy and reinforcement…and anger that they can redirect from self to selected targets. They are all racists of the worst kind, but through projection and over-solicitousness to the people they view as wholly inferior and incapable of existence without their good will, they assuage their guilt…which in reality, aligns with Sanger’s eugenic strategy of separating the dysgenic from their betters by putting them into designated sections where they can be kept. Think housing projects and entitlement programs. Because of early-to-mid 20th Century public sentiment against this bigotry, this strategy had to morph away from Sanger’s stark truthfulness to obscuring it under the umbrella of compassion, but the results are essentially the same. Progressives can’t look at this deeply hidden blot on their own soul. It’s too painful, not to mention how ripe it makes them to be manipulated by people exploiting their need to ideologically self-medicate. So, they turn everything outward. Ridicule and arrogance work well as sacraments of their church. They’re a release and belittling others reinforces their need to feel superior. Their devotion to their cause is as devoutly religious in nature as the actual religious beliefs of people they mock for believing in something sight unseen. Oh, the irony.

Oddly enough, although her BC claims that she (SAD) was born in Kansas, I read a story just yesterday that said SAD was born ON A MILITARY BASE during the war. What military base? Where?

alfy, that’s supposed to be a photo of Stanley Ann Dunham with her classmates at Mercer Island High School. She’s standing next to a girl named Marilyn Close. Marilyn’s family was well to do and comes from “good stock”, or so her granddaughter claims. The granddaughter wrote a blog and pointed out that Marilyn went to school with SAD. People believe that photo’s heavily doctored, too. As for Raymond, I was just remarking on the coincidence that SAD went to school with and was good friends with a girl with the same surname. Coincidence? Might be. Might not be. Good luck finding any family background on Raymond, if that’s even his real name. The author of that piece, Richard Wolffe, is an MSNBC alum, who, like all the other complicit mythmakers, has written not one but TWO fawning books about Barry. Guess what? He’s a Brit who’s half Moroccan.
OMG. I’m about to puke. Get this from what Wolffe wrote about Barry, and what Barry said about it, keeping in mind his LIES:
“His mother taught him what she thought of as “Midwestern, traditional American values”—honesty, fairness, plain speaking. “She believed in saying what you mean and meaning what you say, even if it made a situation uncomfortable,” he recalls. “To her that was part of her American tradition that she was proud of, and she wanted to make sure that was part of me.“”
Something Keith said that’s hilarious:
“Obama, Kakugawa says: “He made everything out like it was all racial.” On one occasion, Obama thought he’d gotten a bad break on the school basketball team because he was black. But Kakugawa recalls his father’s telling the teenager, “No, Barry, it’s not because you’re black. It’s because you missed two shots in a row.” (Here, Kakugawa’s memory is different from Obama’s. The story mentions a Darin Maurer, friend of Barry’s, who was white but with very curly hair, like an Afro. Darin’s mother points out that it was the HAWAIIANS who were expressing racism–against whites and blacks. Oh, what an inconvenient truth.
Check out this part about an apparently black friend named Eric Moore, that Barry allegedly had at Occidental:
“Their kinship was strengthened in conversations like the one they had about a trip Moore took during the summer of 1980. He visited Kenya—the homeland of Obama’s father and other relatives—as part of a program that sent teens abroad to do volunteer work. Moore told Obama about his experiences, and explained how the trip was one of the most powerful events of his life. “It helped me find my own identity,” Moore says. “I think for an African-American to go back to Africa is a powerful experience. It’s like going to Israel if you’re Jewish.”
The two men didn’t discuss questions of identity much, Moore says, but the struggles were always there, just beneath the surface. There were moments when they’d poke fun at each other, and snippets of private truth would emerge. On one occasion, Moore and Obama were hanging out in a dorm—early on in their friendship—when the subject of names came up. “What kind of name is Barry Obama—for a brother?” Moore asked with a grin. “Actually, my name’s Barack Obama,” he replied. “That’s a very strong name,” Moore told him. Obama responded that he didn’t want to have to explain his name. “Barry” was just a way of simplifying things—a small compromise to smooth the way in society.”
I think Barry White would be TOTALLY OFFENDED at the suggestion that Barry is a bad name for a “brother”. This entire article reads like the usual preemptive strike by a complicit media–it covers all the bases in advance, for when people would learn that Barry was CALLED Barry most of his life. We KNOW that his friends at Occidental were PAKISTANI and that he roomed with Middle Eastern foreign students and that he hung out with RICH WHITE KIDS. I don’t remember seeing ANY photos of Barry at Oxy with a black friend. The article does mention Wahid Hamid, but not their close relationship and not the foreign students Barry LIVED WITH.
When he went to Columbia, AFTER his trip to “Pakistan”, Barry wrote (but didn’t confess the trip–we learned that later):
“He stopped drinking and partying, leading what he calls “a hermetic existence” for two years. “When I look back on it, it was a pretty grim and humorless time that I went through,” he recalls. “I literally went to class, came home, read books, took long walks, wrote.”
Sounds to me as if he had a religious experience over there, in
