Mass Murder in DC, Where Guns Are Already Banned (Open Thread)

Another “active shooter” incident in Washington DC.  The shooting took place inside a building at the Navy Yard, where a shooter stood at a railing on the fourth floor, picking off people who walked through a cafeteria atrium, four stories below.

TV news stories state that to access this particular building, a person must go through a checkpoint, show identification, and prove authorization to gain entry.

As is usual with these incidents, the stories conflict and facts are hard to come by:  There was one shooter, or multiple shooters.  There were two shooters killed, or only one. There are six dead and dozens wounded, or not.  Initial reports said a bald black man was the shooter.  From one story:

One suspect is dead after a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, but two others may be on the loose, the D.C. police chief said Monday.

“The big concern for us right now is that we potentially have two other shooters that we have not located at this point,” Washington Police Chief Cathy Lanier told reporters.

Multiple people were killed in the shooting rampage, Lanier said, which sent police in SWAT team gear swarming to the scene Monday morning.

Hours later, Lanier said authorities were still looking for a white man and a black man in military-style clothing who could be connected to the shooting.

“We have no information to believe that either of those folks are military personnel, but we do have information that those individuals are wearing military-style uniforms,” she said.

It’s important to note, before gun-control nuts begin bloviating yet again, that DC has among the most stringent gun-control laws in the entire country. Nevertheless, their many laws did not prevent this cold-blooded murder.  How many lives might have been saved, if even one witness had been armed?

Unlike with Benghazi, Barack Obama has already been briefed multiple times and has already found his way in front of a camera to comment.  Coincidentally or not, recent news stories decried the fact that gun control has been shoved to the back burner and that Obama hasn’t made any traction with his attempts to impose “common sense” gun control on the country, despite the murders at Sandy Hook.

FOX News cites an official who stated, ominously, that this incident is not over.  It was just announced that 12 are confirmed dead.  A spokesperson says that quick action by the police saved lives.  Again, if armed civilians had been present, how many more might have been saved before the cops arrived?

Presently there’s a man hunt for two other suspects–a white man and a black man, both wearing military-like clothing.  The FBI is leading the man hunt.

Pray for the victims and their families.  Pray also that justice is meted out to the perpetrators.

  1. New open thread. Martha MacCallum insightfully asked why, with two armed and dangerous suspects still at large, the lockdown of DC is not more extensive (similar to what took place in Boston). Good question.

“Even though the DC Navy shootings are only hours old, thankfully the government has already miraculously determined that this is an “isolated incident”. But, just in case more “isolated incidents” begin to unfold across the country, it’s worth reminding everyone that on September 13, 2013 Muslim Brotherhood member and al-Qaida founder, Ayman al Zawahiri called for renewed attacks on American soil. …”

Although the at-large suspects are wearing military uniforms, the news reporters say that there’s no evidence they WERE military members. However, how would they get into the building? (Building 197 is the location of ten of the deaths. One security guard was killed, possibly a police officer, too.)

Supposedly, there’s VERY HIGH SECURITY in this building. So how do shooters get inside? This certainly points to a number of HUGE FAILURES, including in VETTING who’s allowed in our military (political correctness again?) as well as SECURITY.

  3. Wonder how long thee will be more than one suspect????? Will tomorrow news be saying the transitional story of, “It was first believed to be more than one shooter but now is confirmed the dead shooter acted alone.”

    • And it was “workplace violence” IF the shooter ends up being muslim.

“A 34-year-old Texas man is suspected of being one of possibly two shooters during Monday morning’s attack at the Washington Navy Yard that left 12 people dead, D.C. police say.

The Associated Press confirmed with local authorities that the man’s name is Aaron Alexis.

One of two federal law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly said Alexis, 34, was from Texas and is believed to have gotten into the Navy Yard by using someone else’s identification card. It is not yet clear if that person was an accomplice or if the ID was stolen.

D.C. police are expected to announce more details during a 3 p.m. news conference. As many as two gunmen are suspected in the crime. …”

Age is correct. I’m not saying this is he, but he’s bald, which fits the description. Look at the prior: discharging a firearm.

        • OK, Zenway. The UK news guys have the same photo, so it’s the shooter, I suppose. He’s a contractor? How did he get vetted? When hired? You tell me how he got through that strict security carrying those several big guns? It makes no sense and as time goes on, it will make less and less sense because the SPIN WILL BEGIN. Also as usual, perp conveniently dead so no trial so no discovery so no way to learn the REAL TRUTH.

          From the UK story:

“Although she emerged unscathed, Pat said she would have felt safer if she had been permitted to carry her own gun to work.

‘I’m a gun owner, and so is my husband,’ Pat said, ‘but I work in D.C. so I can’t carry a weapon. Now I wish they would let us do it anyway. I felt like a fool walking around unarmed after shots were fired.’”

          • WTF kind of statement is this, from the UK story:

Navy Yard attack ‘could just as easily have been directed at Congress,’ says FBI insider

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken over the inquiry into what a source in the bureau’s Washington, D.C. Field Office called ‘a horrible – just ridiculous – attack’ that ‘could just as easily have been directed at Congress.’ …

‘It’s never easy hearing about this kind of a horrible – just ridiculous attack,’ the FBI employee added. ‘And the really scary thing is that if the shooter could get that close to military officers, he could have probably gotten inside other government buildings too.’

Not the White House or the Pentagon, but this could just as easily have been directed at Congress, and you would probably have had more casualties. Someone who wants to kill people won’t have any qualms about shooting his way in.'”

!!!!!!! NOT the WH or the Pentagon, but Congress. NOW WHY IS THAT? Why would security be tighter at the WH and Pentagon than at Congress? This is insane for an FBI “insider” to admit this.

According to Drudge, he attended a Buddhist Temple (laughs uproariously….no disrespect intended) Either he’s a muslim or a patsy. Tell us another one. They really are going to for a simultaneous gun grab/ illegal alien invasion. Next up: riots. They are sick. And they are drunk and mad with power.

They are becoming desperate and in their desperation they are going to eff up, royally. If he isn’t a muslim , I’m surprised they didn’t select a white dude as the patsy.

Putin mocked us. I agree, Vlad. Russia is looking better and better by the day. As we fall, they rise. And Ronald Reagan is rolling in his grave.

            • They got the Buddhist story from his co-worker, a Thai guy who’s apparently a Buddhist. This dude also, somehow and for some unknown reason, traveled to Thailand. Didn’t he? What a coincidence. AND he lived … where? SEATTLE. Another coinkidink.

          • Rosemary Woodhouse

Just noting he recently traveled to Thailand. He worked for The Experts and he was a waiter at a Thai restaurant. Uh huh.

            • Yep. That same story also says his criminal record is what led to him being let go from the military. So, HOW DID HE GET CLEARANCE TO START WORKING (THIS MONTH!) AT THE NAVY YARDS?

              • Did the contractor do NO background check because the DOJ was threatening lawsuits against small companies that did background checks on the assumption that it’s racist discrimination because more blacks than whites have criminal records? Remember that? The courts just overruled the DOJ on that one. THIS is the REAL scandal.

    • And just heard on news the killer may have acted alone afterall.

As to the killer….someone asked yahoo if the guy was a muslim convert and……..within minutes it was removed………….can’t be because it is an inappropriate question as the question was asked back in 2008 and is still up ….asked about Obama, that is.

google search Is Aaron Alexis a muslim convert?:
“Is Aaron Alexis a muslim convert? or is this work related … – Proxy – HighlightIs Aaron Alexis a muslim convert? or is this work related? what’s this A–hole’s beef? 10 seconds ago – 4 days left to answer.”
      Yahoo actual page:

Charles Woods, father of Tyrone Woods who died in Benghazi, speaks out:

“It must be tough to know that your son died because his commander-in-chief thought it was more important to catch up on sleep than send help.

I wish he had taken the time the night of September 11, not to go to bed, not to go prepare to collect money in Las Vegas, but I wish he had taken time then to watch more of the video of the live time ambush attack at the Embassy and that I wish that he had sent the troops that everybody knows were available to rescue those people…In this case, there was no rescue attempt, no planes sent. In fact, Ty’s body was left on the tarmac for three hours and there wasn’t even an American plane sent to rescue or even take his body home. They had to commandeer a Libyan plane and didn’t even know where they would be taken in order to remove his body from the tarmac. Is that the way to treat an American hero?’

….Mr. Woods also noted he was informed of a conversation by General Carter Ham that there were assets available to use for a rescue but Ham was not allowed to deploy those assets. …”

But as I said, Barry’s already spoken out on this Navy Yards shooting. What’s the diff, one wonders?

    Look here; don’t look there!

“According to the Egyptian military, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas (Gaza Muslim Brotherhood) have “anti-aircraft missiles.”

The army seized weapons including anti-aircraft missiles, [an Army spokesman] said. Motorized paragliders had also been found, which he said showed an effort to develop new methods of attack.

Where did they get these missiles? Who knows, perhaps it was from an Obama “street vendor” outside the American consulate in Benghazi. …”

    That would be my bet.

    • Rosemary Woodhouse

Didn’t some con job (gress) pig…I mean person recently say Benghazi was old news or stale…words to that effect? Tell that to Mr. Woods, piggy.

    • Sources: US weapons stolen in Libya raids, fueling Special Forces pull-out

      September 11, 2013
      Adam Housley

Highly sensitive U.S. military equipment stored in Libya was stolen over the summer by groups likely aligned and working with terrorist organizations, State Department sources told Fox News — in raids that contributed to the decision to pull Special Forces personnel from the country.

The stolen equipment had been used by U.S. Special Forces stationed in the country. Lost in the raids in late July and early August were dozens of M4 rifles, night-vision technology and lasers used as aiming devices that are mounted on guns and can only be seen with night-vision equipment.

“This stuff is how we win wars. The enemy doesn’t have that,” one source said.

  5. What sort of background check did this guy go through?

“Authorities have identified the dead shooter as a Navy employee whose work status had been changed earlier this year, a federal government official told the Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak on the record. While that may suggest the motive was job related, authorities haven’t ruled out anything, including terrorism, the official said.

A senior federal law enforcement official said authorities were investigating whether the main shooter, a black male, was motivated by a dispute with employees at the Navy Yard. …”

Yup. What I said. Workplace violence. What sort of political correctness allowed this guy to be on the job, to stay on the job, to be hired in the first place? Will they tell us the truth? What do you think?

  6. Does this answer MacCallum’s question about why NOT a wider shutdown of the city? Obama’s big Latino fest takes place tonight, where he’s going to “shake his groove thing,” according to Mooch. The show must go on. Right? IT SHOULD BE CANCELLED, but will it be?

How unseemly will it look for Barry to be partying tonight at the WH with 12 dead?

“President and Mrs. Obama Monday night will host their third “command performance” since the sequester began in March, grooving in the East Room to the sounds of Hispanic music. …”

  7. “UPDATE: D.C. Police: The white male in the tan outfit has been identified and is not a suspect or person of interest”

Well, that’s leaves only the dead black (alleged) shooter and the other black alleged shooter, still on the lam. Hmm. No wonder it’s leaning towards “work place violence.”

  8. Have y’all noticed a sudden plethora of news articles opining about the sad state of bridges all across the country? I’ve seen AT LEAST three stories in the newspaper lately. My antennae started twitching. Mind you, despite that he’s already got (and spent) BILLIONS in the stimulus bill of 2009, that’s not near enough for Barry. I can smell it coming. HE WILL TRY TO GET MORE “STIMULUS” SOON. Mark my words. The JournOlist is already on the job, seeding these stories about failing bridges across the country and how states just don’t have the money to fix them up. Examples of the meme:

Mission accomplished.

    • Rosemary Woodhouse

And they’ll hire muslim contractors to rebuild. Just like they promoted that MB dude in HS. After all, they built this nation, didn’t they?

  9. they also had a drill called Citadel Shield just a few months ago at this very Naval Yard, to prepare for any possible emergency scenario like this!

    • Yes, and SOMEHOW all the background checks missed his “anger-fueled blackouts” and his 9/11 PTSD (say what?). How exactly does that work? We here at WTPOTUS would do a better background check, using readily available Internet databases, than these people they hire to allegedly do the checks/screening. How long did it take to find his 2010 mugshot? ONE SEARCH on his name. He has criminal records in the WA state databases. The newspapers found them, so why didn’t the companies that hired him? They say he had legitimate identification and security clearance. How does that work, when he was accused of shooting out someone’s tires simply for looking at him cross-eyed? At least that was his perception. Then he shot a gun through the apartment of a neighbor’s, almost hitting her, she says because he complained about her making noise. GIVEN his prior with shooting out tires, why then did the TX authorities look the other way on THAT ONE? HOW did he manage to stay in the military when these criminal cases were on the records? Too many questions.

  10. Breaking….news

Suspected Navy Yard gunman purchased weapons legally, likely acted alone ….

  11. I saw where the shooter’s father was quoted but did not see his name. I find it hard to believe “Alexis” is a real American last name. Is the guy a Somali?
He looks zombified in the one picture I’ve seen.

    • Father says sons suffered PTSD. So, he legally carried and as a vet had ptsd. One more step towards taking guns from veterans.

      • Buddhist convert taking aeronautical Emery-Riddle courses?

“Aaron Alexis seems a study in contradictions: a former navy reservist, a Defense Department contractor, a convert to Buddhism who was taking an online course in aeronautics. But he also had flashes of temper that led to run-ins with police over shootings in Fort Worth, Texas, and Seattle.

A profile began to emerge Monday of the man authorities identified as the gunman in a mass shooting at the navy yard in Washington, D.C., that left 13 people dead, including the 34-year-old man. While some neighbours and acquaintances described him as “nice,” his father once told detectives in Seattle that his son had anger management problems related to post-traumatic stress brought on by the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

At the time of the shootings, he worked for The Experts, a subcontractor on an HP Enterprise Services contract to refresh equipment used on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet network.

His life over the past decade has been checkered.

Alexis lived in Seattle in 2004 and 2005, according to public documents. In 2004, Seattle police said, Alexis was arrested for shooting out the tires of another man’s vehicle in what he later described to detectives as an anger-fuelled “blackout.”

According to an account on the department’s website, two construction workers had parked their Honda Accord in the driveway of their worksite, next to a home where Alexis was staying. The workers reported seeing a man, later identified by police as Alexis, walk out of the home next to their worksite, pull a gun from his waistband and fire three shots into the rear tires of their Honda before he walked slowly back to his home.
        Anger-fuelled ‘blackout’

When detectives interviewed workers at the construction site, they told police Alexis had stared at construction workers at the job site daily for several weeks prior to the shooting. The owner of the construction business told police he believed Alexis was angry over the parking situation around the site.

Police eventually arrested Alexis, searched his home, found a gun and ammunition in his room, and booked him into the King County Jail for malicious mischief.

According to the police account, Alexis told detectives he perceived he had been “mocked” by construction workers the morning of the incident. Alexis also claimed he had an anger-fuelled “blackout,” and could not remember firing his gun at the Honda until an hour after the incident.

Alexis also told police he was present during “the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001” and described “how those events had disturbed him.”

Then, on May 5, 2007, he enlisted in the navy reserves, serving through 2011, according to navy spokeswoman Lt. Megan Shutka.

Shutka said he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal during his stint in the reserves. Both are medals issued to large numbers of service members who served abroad and in the United States since the 9/11 attacks. Alexis’ last assignment was as aviation electricians mate 3rd class at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, Shutka said.
Neighbour nearly shot by Alexis in 2010

It was while he was still in the reserves that a neighbour in Fort Worth reported she had been nearly struck by a bullet shot from his downstairs apartment.

In September 2010, Fort Worth police questioned Alexis about the neighbour’s report; he admitted to firing his weapon but said he was cleaning his gun when it accidentally discharged. He said he didn’t call the police because he didn’t think the bullet went through to the other apartment.

The neighbour told police she was scared of Alexis and felt he fired intentionally because he had complained about her making too much noise.

Alexis was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm within city limits but Tarrant County district attorney’s spokeswoman Melody McDonald Lanier said the case was not pursued after it was determined the gun discharged accidentally.

After leaving the reserves, Alexis worked as a waiter and delivery driver at the Happy Bowl Thai restaurant in White Settlement, a suburb of Fort Worth, according to Afton Bradley, a former co-worker. The two overlapped for about eight months before Alexis left in May, Bradley said.
A practising Buddhist and ‘nice guy’

Having travelled to Thailand, Alexis learned some Thai and could speak to Thai customers in their native language.

“He was a very nice person,” Bradley said in a phone interview. “It kind of blows my mind away. I wouldn’t think anything bad at all.”

A former acquaintance, Oui Suthametewakul, said Alexis lived with him and his wife from August 2012 to May 2013 in Fort Worth, but that they had to part ways because he wasn’t paying his bills. Alexis was a “nice guy,” Suthametewakul said, though he sometimes carried a gun and would frequently complain about being the victim of discrimination.

Suthametewakul said Alexis had converted to Buddhism and prayed at a local Buddhist temple.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which offers online courses in aviation and aerospace, confirmed that Alexis was enrolled as an online student via its Fort Worth campus, started classes in July 2012 and pursuing a bachelor’s of science in aeronautics.

“We are co-operating fully with investigating officials,” the university said.”

        • Where does it say he WAS a Buddhist? I read that he lived NEAR the temple and SOMETIMES went there to MEDITATE. Muslims meditate, too. Just because he goes there, doesn’t mean he’s a “convert”. Upon what basis do that make that assumption? One co-worker who claims he went to the temple sometimes.

          • Says in almost all the news reports

            • Yeah, I know. It’s a meme. What I should have asked is: Upon what basis do they make the claim that he was a Buddhist convert? Just on the fact that sometimes he went to a temple he lived next door to to “meditate” with the people he worked with? Is it unheard of for a Muslim to meditate, maybe even in a Buddhist temple? I’m just sayin’.

              • Supposedly, according to the interviews of the owner of the Thai restaurant he worked at and supposedly by some others interviewed; a neighbor. And supposedly according to one at the Buddhist temple where he supposedly went. (Don’t know where I saw it but one news source said something about the person from the temple said he was violent? I say supposedly a lot because I find the whole thing a bit over the top; the meme of him being Buddhist as if see other religions of peace have their whackos, too.

                • I remember reading that, too. That they said he was violent. Doesn’t fit with being a Buddhist, does it? Here are some interesting articles about his lack of vetting. I still BET YOU that it’s connected to his race and fear of being accused of discrimination and the penchant of the Obama administration to give a pass to some just because they’re black. That’s background on the background check issue. Here are current stories about Alexis, in particular:

“… Thomas Hoshko, chief executive officer of The Experts, said he was disturbed to learn from The Washington Post and other news outlets about police reports alleging that Alexis shot out a construction worker’s tire in Seattle in 2004, and into the ceiling of his Fort Worth apartment in 2010.

If I can find this out just by doing a Google search, that is sad,” Hoshko said. “Anything that suggests criminal problems or mental health issues, that would be a flag. We would not have hired him.

Alexis was working with The Experts on its subcontract with Hewlett Packard to update and replace computers for Navy and Marine Corps installations.

The company confirmed Tuesday morning that Alexis had been working since July at six different installations – including Arlington, Va., Cherry Point, N.C., and Stafford, Va. He had worked for several days before the shooting at the Navy Yard. Alexis’s work at the sites was previously unknown.

Hoshko said he and other contracting firms rely on the military to approve the security clearances of their employees, and fears that budget crunches have led to faster and less thorough checks. [Two minutes on the Internet is too much to ask?] His company did not do its own background check but did conduct a new drug test, part of its standard procedure for updating security clearances and for new employees. …”

Navy Secretary Ray Mabus on Tuesday ordered broad security reviews for all Navy and Marine Corps bases and installations in the United States, one day after a contract worker — who had obtained a security clearance despite a history of violent behavior — killed 12 people in a shooting rampage at the Washington Navy Yard. … [You’d think this would have been done after Ft. Hood AND Edward Snowden.]

It appeared, in these early hours of the investigation, that [Alexis] had repeatedly run afoul of both police and his superiors in the Navy.

But, time after time, Alexis seemed to escape the worst potential consequences of his alleged actions. [because of his race?] Charges were dropped. The Navy allowed him to leave with an “honorable” discharge, even after a history of misconduct. [Saw somewhere that there were at least 8 misconduct charges against him. Nevertheless …]

And Alexis wound up with a job in information technology, a “secret” government security clearance and a shotgun — apparently purchased legally in Virginia and brought somehow onto the Navy Yard campus on Monday.

The Navy’s first job would be to unravel the last apparent failure, in a long chain of them. A Navy official said there would be a quick assessment of current “physical” security procedures, including how visitors are searched at base entrances. A second, longer review would look at access to those bases and whether new regulations might be required.

Neither of those reviews would look at the procedures involved in granting security clearances to contract workers like Alexis, Navy officials said….”

Spot the %^$% on, WAH. And there you have it: their end game (motive).

I saw a brilliant comment on The Blaze earlier. Someone posted (I should have copied it) they never thought they’d be in league with conspiracy theorists in reply to a “tin foil hat comment”. Further, he wrote. then again, I never thought Americans would vote for O again. I never thought he would have gotten away with all he has done. My hat size is 8.

      • It’s all bogus, I’m sure. Yes, they do want to take guns from vets. In addition, with Obamacare, your doctor, maybe your dentist, will be asking all kinds of intrusive questions like: What’s your sexual orientation, do you have depression, do you own guns? Of course, you don’t have to answer. KEEP THAT IN MIND. (But if you tell them to kiss your bum; they’ll probably note that you have “anger” problems.)

There goes ANY hope of treatment for any mental illness. Nobody dare say, hence forward, that they suffer from depression, or even grief. One man has already had his guns confiscated because he told his doctor that he was still mourning his deceased wife. You won’t even have to say this. If you say anything that the doctor even interprets as depression or mental illness, then it’s in your permanent ONLINE medical record, for the NSA, FBI, IRS, etc., to peruse.

Keep in mind your RIGHT to see your records and correct them when necessary.

    • “Alexis grew up in Brooklyn with his parents, Cathleen and Anthony Alexis, said his aunt Helen Weekes. “We haven’t seen him for years,” she said.”

    2) the signing of the Declaration of Independence

    September 17, 1787 was:
    1) the one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seventh year of our Lord (Anno Domini), and
    2) the twelfth year of the Independence of the United States of America (1776 was the 1st, 1777 the 2nd, etc.)

      13. ABSTRACT
The Kingdom of Thailand currently faces internal and transnational Islamic insurgent threats that have the potential to disrupt Southeast Asian regional stability. As a Major Non-NATO Ally and the signatory of several bilateral and multilateral security arrangements with the US, Thailand has solidified itself as a security alliance partner whose stability and influence in Southeast Asia has become increasingly more important to the US and its War on Terror. The purpose of this thesis is to provide a history and analysis of the Islamic insurgency and transnational terrorist operations that exist in Thailand today. Secondly, this thesis will highlight current Thai, US, and regional security
initiatives and underscore policy deficiencies. Finally, this thesis will recommend a solution strategy necessary for the purge of radical Islamic insurgency and transnational terrorism in Thailand. By accepting current policy deficiencies and implementing the courses of action recommended in this thesis, the US and Thailand will both contribute to a greater Southeast Asian security.

“The Andrea Shea King Show – Jack Cashill”

“His friends called George Zimmerman “Tugboat,” the one who always came to the rescue. An Hispanic-American civil rights activist, he helped a black homeless man find justice. He helped guide two black teens through life. He helped a terrified mother secure her house. He helped his wary neighbors secure their community.

In “If I Had A Son”, Jack Cashill tells the inside story of how, as the result of a tragic encounter with troubled seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin, the media turned Tugboat into a white racist vigilante, “the most hated man in America.”

“If I Had A Son” tells how for the first time in the history of American jurisprudence, a state government, the US Department of Justice, the White House, the major media, the entertainment industry and the vestiges of the civil rights movement conspired to put an innocent man in prison for the rest of his life.”–jack-cashill

  22. ~ Outstanding MUST READ ~ …. by Timothy D. Naegele
Is Barack Obama A RACIST ….

    • Rosemary Woodhouse

Ahem****It has been MY experience that *****most biracial children identify as the minority. Not stating a fact, but rather an opinion. 🙂

    • We said that. 🙂

HOWEVER, the guy cites what’s in Dreams when it was BILL AYERS writing it, not Barry, so it’s a window into AYERS’S soul, not Barry’s.

      • Somebody needs to send him a photo of the Choom Gang and maybe he’ll change his belief that at Punahou Barry hung with the few other black students.

        • “Later, in Kenya, he realizes what his life might have been like when he views a photo album of his father’s third wife and their family. “They were happy scenes, all of them, and all strangely familiar, as if I were glimpsing some alternative universe that had played itself out behind my back. . . . Here it was, I thought, what might have been. And the recognition of how wrong it had all turned out . . . made me so sad that after only a few minutes I had to look away.””

Now that’s quite interesting. What might have been and how wrong it had all turned out. WHAT exactly might have been? WHAT exactly turned out wrong? Hmmm. David? Sent to Hawaii. But for that, he might have been in those photos of the happy family? Just sayin’.

          • Zen, this is so bogus. “At Occidental College in Los Angeles, Obama hung out with blacks too …”

UH, no he didn’t. He hung with white guys, rich Pakistanis, and rich white girls. Can we even name one black friend of his at Oxy? I can’t think of any in that photogravure of Barry’s time there. Can you?

      • Rosemary Woodhouse

He just WANTS to be black.

        • yep…”BO-gus” … BUTT’ it was written in May of 2009’… after the
BOOK …came OUT & O’s photo selection is shown to COVER his
tracks…. and PAINT …HIS PICTURE with HIS BROAD BRUSH!!!
I’m sure he mirrored a few black when it worked for HIM… 2 do so
the end comments were informative as were the O photos..below

  23. HAPPY Constitution Day! Everyone. 🙂

  24. This is outright propaganda by Obama while 12 people lay dead! 😡

  25. 7 VICTIMS MURDERED….. Butt’…. what I just received in my heart…

race … when the Black Man Kills…. I’d ALSO like to see that when the
White Man Kills…. just thinking out-LOUD! but what does it matter?
Just maybe… we could start…a new TREND? Heal the NATION a BIT!
If it’s Black vs. White… then I need to rethink the NEW STINKING
RULES 4 ALL … life is NOT getting sweeter by the day… trust me!

  26. Caroline BIDEN in now in Custody…. (as in JOE BIDEN’s niece…)

Butt’… was let to… SLIDE over a past “Misunderstanding”.. over payment
    of Train Fare… # 1~ # 2 ~.. when will # 3 happen? Anger Management ?

    • It would be so much easier to digest that the clearance came from racial bias protocols instead of the armed forced being infiltrated with Izlum and someone on the inside made it happen. . . I know it is tacky and premature to be thinking Izlum terrorist because the guy had definite problems (or did he?). I also know it is not politically correct among the unpolitically correct to wonder and have one’s wonderment labeled ‘jumping the gun’. With the other recent mass shootings it was screamed by some about the connections to meds and they were completely ignored; might stigmatize the normal Joe taking meds and so hush hush hush. But then within twelve hours the naysayers of the past are ready, very quickly I might add, to point out all the mental issues and meds, meds, meds.. Was AA overlooked in background check or was he given clearance because of his background and mission accomplished?

      • I think those racial bias protocols are a huge factor here. Note that the Navy is going to review security but NOT the protocols for security clearances! Reading between the lines, what does that tell us? Commander in Chief has probably already ORDERED that CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS will not result in blacks being precluded from working for the military or getting clearance into their buildings. WHY ELSE WOULD THEY AVOID THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM?

They already know Barry’s mind on this and they know it’s a “don’t go there” issue. Even to mention it will point out how and why they failed because they let this guy in and I’m betting it was a DELIBERATE DECISION. It will take even more Congressional hearings, IF they have the guts to look into it and get to the bottom of it. Otherwise, here as in the Middle East, our people will continue to be SITTING DUCKS for Barry’s social experiments.

    • “… But the civil rights community and the EEOC are inclined to sue employers whose criminal background check policies exclude black applicants in disproportionate numbers, which most such policies do. As an African-American, Alexis could have been a plaintiff in a private suit or a claimant in a government suit.

Keep in mind that in an EEOC suit, the employer must prove that there is a valid work-related reason to screen persons with a history of violence, and as Mirengoff points out, when an incident is years in the past, pressure exists to disregard it. [Three years isn’t so long. He shot into his upstairs neighbor’s apartment!]

It’s too early to reach any conclusions, but this incident may be related to racial animus, and it may have been enabled by disparate impact theory of civil rights law. We don’t even know who all the victims were. But I wonder about the racial composition of the group of his targets.”

EXACTLY what I said. Smart money is on that explanation. Barry and Eric are taking care of “their people” and to hell with any collateral damage.

  27. Rosemary Woodhouse

Read the comments. People are fed up with anything pertaining to race. “Tolerance” is waning.

  28. ladydi72 hours ago
This is really ridiculous. In the first place, blacks are only about 15% of the population, an there are certainly more than 15% of black models!!! I don’t know about the runway, or catwalk..but there are sure a preponderance of black models in all the high end catalogs! ~so true another spin 4 okra~

    • Agreed! We should boycott all the “politically correct” people. Where are all the hispanic models? There should be MORE hispanics than blacks, according to demography. Where are all the Asian ones?

    • Same with commercials where there seems to be one white, one brown, one black, and one gay (as if that is a race) in every commercial.

      • Sort of on this thought; but then not really: With all the television the urban community watches and views, I do not buy they cannot speak decent English!!!!! Even without an education and/or crappy schools, they have been exposed to the language from in the womb.

      • Oh, sometimes, actually often, there are multiple blacks and you’re lucky if there’s a white person. IF there is a white person, that person is most often the buffoon in the ad. The person of color is most often the boss or the person making fun of the white person or instructing the white person or is the person with “power”. While I understand their PC methodology–to prop up the self-esteem of the minorities–what they also do is to DANGEROUSLY (Putin said so) give some people the impression that they’re “exceptional” or “superior” to others. Already psychologists have found that white children feel SHAME about their heritage and are LOSING SELF-ESTEEM, wishing they’d been born “persons of color” instead of white. IS THIS RIGHT AND GOOD? REVENGE? PUNISHING THE CHILDREN FOR THE PERCEIVED “SINS” OF THEIR ANCESTORS?

  29. “Banning Gold Coins & Confiscating Coins From Safe Deposit Boxes to Help the Economy”

    At YouTube:

“Obama supporters in San Diego, California sign a petition to ban and confiscate gold coins from people’s homes and safe deposit boxes as part of the President’s economic recovery plan. Author and media analyst Mark Dice uses the key words “will you help Obama” and that’s all it takes for people to sign his crazy petition.”

So I’m curious about the tepid response re: the date SNAFU. Opinions? As noted, the ABC link is gone. I, quite frankly, don;t know what to make of it. Were it only exclusively in one place I would attribute it to a typo.

    • I don’t understand it, RW. It’s concerning that when questioned about it in comments, they simply “corrected” their “error” without explanation for readers. This has happened before with these incidents and so far I’ve seen no explanation for HOW these people can be mind readers. One thing, though: Didn’t the ABC story have a title that didn’t match what the story was about? All I can thing of, if there IS an innocent explanation, is that somehow they posted the shooting story within the framework of that other story, which WAS from the day before. They frequently move stories and seem to “reuse” names of stories (like when there are numbers or dates). It makes no sense to me. I notice it on stories that are posted on “index pages” where daily stories are listed and then you take a link to read the article. Usually, the Wayback Machine will find the original, if you use the original link. Have you followed this elsewhere? What are people saying about it?

      • Rosemary Woodhouse

        Thanks, Miri!

WTPOTUS, Drudge, Breitbart and The Blaze are my political fixes. The comment with the links was from one or the other.

    • “… “Today I come to you with the news that our President actually waived the restriction on countries supplying arms to international terrorists, specifically Al‑Qaeda. And the reason why he waived that is because we’re providing arms to international terrorists, specifically Al‑Qaeda,” Glenn [Beck] said. “Now, if that isn’t an act of treason, I don’t know what is. If that is not an act of insanity, I don’t know what is.”

“This isn’t, ‘Well, we don’t know who the terrorists are. We don’t know who the rebels are.’ No, no. Mr. President, you apparently do know exactly who they are because you felt compelled to waive the restriction on arming them,” he continued. “Now, why would you do that? So you can no longer make the case ‘We don’t know who these guys are’ because the President felt compelled to tell us who they are by waiving the restrictions. They’re international terrorists. If that’s not an act of suicide, if that’s not an act finally of the President admitting we’re on the wrong side – when you have to waive the law so you can arm terrorists, you’re on the wrong side.”

While we know that not all of the rebels are terrorists, arming any faction that includes known terrorists is in direct violation of our federal laws, which is why President Obama was forced to waive the restrictions that prevented such action.

As Pat and Stu both explained, you wouldn’t eat something that was known to contain 15% of poison. So why would you arm a group of people with some percentage of a ‘poisonous’ underbelly?

“Because the president could go to jail if he didn’t waive the law… You know, I know I just did a thing in the New York Times just, like, two weeks ago where I said I haven’t called for impeachment of the President. I haven’t called for it,” Glenn said. “I’m calling for the impeachment of the President of the United States. The President of the United States needs to be impeached.” …”

WHERE IS IT WRITTEN THAT PRESIDENTS CAN JUST “WAIVE” LAWS? Of course he could go to jail. That’s WHY BENGHAZI IS STONEWALLED. EXACTLY WHY. Or maybe Barry thinks he can waive retroactively, like how Malik’s charity got a retroactive exemption so he wasn’t breaking US laws? All in the “family”.

Of course, this explains why the lamestream is also suddenly giving the “tin foil hat” treatment to the Benghazi investigators. Just like they did with those who questioned Barry’s bogus birth certificate. Case in point:

Will the lamestream even REPORT that Barry is waiving this law, which smart money said all along that he already broke in Libya, last year?

      Update on that story:
” White House releases statement on waiver

National Security Council spokesman Caitlin Hayden issued the following statement concerning the president’s actions with regard to waiving certain controls on military aid in the Syrian crisis:

“This action will allow the U.S. Government to provide or license, where appropriate, certain non-lethal assistance inside or related to Syria. This includes: 1) chemical weapons-related personal protective equipment to international organizations, including the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, for the conduct of their operations; 2) chemical weapons-related life-saving assistance for organizations implementing Department of State or U.S. Agency for International Development programs to strengthen local Syrian health care providers’ ability to prepare for and respond to any use of chemical weapons; and 3) defensive chemical weapons-related training and personal protective equipment to select vetted members of the Syrian opposition, including the Supreme Military Council, to protect against the use of chemical weapons. This action is part of longstanding and ongoing efforts to provide life-saving chemical weapons-related assistance to people in need in Syria.””

      Uh, huh.

  31. From a comment at
    Son of Taz says:
    September 17, 2013 at 3:14 pm

Fox25 in Boston is reporting this at 6PM:

NEWPORT, R.I. ( — Accused Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis told police in Newport, R.I. that voices were talking to him through the walls of his hotel rooms and sending microwave vibrations into his body to prevent him from sleeping.

Newport police were called to a Marriott Hotel on Aug. 7 just before 6:30 a.m. on a harassment report. Once at the scene, they spoke with Alexis who told them he was in town working as a contractor for the Navy.

A police report states that Alexis told investigators he got into an argument with someone at the airport after a flight from Virginia to Rhode Island. Alexis was convinced the person then sent three people to follow him and keep him awake by speaking to him and sending vibrations through his body.

Alexis switched to the Marriott from a Residence Inn in Middletown, R.I. after initially hearing voices through the walls. He originally switched to a hotel on the Navy base before checking into the Marriott, claiming the three people followed him.

Investigators said Alexis would not tell them what the voices were saying, but told them he was worried they were going to harm him. He also told police he “never felt anything like this” and that he did not have a history of mental illness.

The former Navy reservist was told to call police if he thought the individuals were following him.

According to the police report, Newport police notified Naval Station Police about the incident and sent them a copy of the police report.

A source told FOX 25′s Ted Daniel that Alexis was contracted to update computers at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center at the Newport Navy base. The source said Alexis wore a “visitors” badge that allowed him access to the areas where he worked.

    • Two things stand out to me:
“Investigators said Alexis would not tell them what the voices were saying, but told them he was worried they were going to harm him. He also told police he “never felt anything like this” and that he did not have a history of mental illness.”
“According to the police report, Newport police notified Naval Station Police about the incident and sent them a copy of the police report.”

How convenient to have a crazy alibi all written up in a police report. Now, who wanted that report established and who in the Navy did not heed the report. Why?

    • So having received this police report, the Navy DID NOTHING?!!!! He was allowed to drive onto the base, with a long gun, and nobody said “boo”?

      • This is the biggest reason I am willing to consider this was an act of domestic terrorism in the name of Allah. Now, don’t get me wrong. I am not saying it IS, him being Buddhist and such (after all articles are now saying Buddhism draws the mentally ill seeking peace of mind) but incompetence is NOT our Navy!

  32. We’re not that good at finding musylyms hiding in an official capacity,
    are we?
The reporting over at Debka notes how angry and frightened the Israel leaders are now that obama has thrown them under the bus by making detente delas with both Syria and Iran – neither will be harmed,
not even for making nuclear ewapons.
All I can say is they must have been going to this Chinese restaurant that I drove by the other day:
    Mo Foo Yu

  33. Pretty interesting that “they” are saturating us with all the current “facts” and stories regarding this “shooter”. who is he? where’s he from? where did he grow up? who knew him when? any prom pictures out there?

what language are these voices he hears speaking?
