His Very Own Berlin Wall (Open Thread)

President Barack Hussein Obama II recently visited Germany again, and spoke at the Brandenburg Gate, following (he hoped) in the footsteps of Presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, and the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mayor Klaus Wowereit was in attendance. (Wow!  I like that name.) He’s on the far right, above, next to Chancellor Angela “Hard G” Merkel.

At first glance, it appeared that actor and liberal activist Alec Baldwin had found a way to crash the party.  Did he accompany his favorite president to Berlin?  Nope, that’s Berlin’s mayor. Separated at birth?

As it turned out, with TOTUS on the fritz, Obama’s speech was a dud.  Reporters asked if Obama’s “lost his mojo.” (Is that racist?)  [Emphasis added to quotes.]

It was a more muted affair for President  Obama in Berlin today as he spoke at Berlin’s iconic Brandenburg Gate before an invite-only  crowd of 4,500 guests – a remarkable difference from the rock-star welcome he  received five years ago in front of 195,500 cheering supporters

Then, Obama had it all to play for – the  glowing presidential candidate symbolizing America’s revived hope for the  future. This time, he arrived back in Berlin under the cloud of NSA surveillance  programs which have outraged many Europeans and the ever-growing crisis in  Syria.

The President removed his jacket and rolled  up his sleeves as he battled the 86F temperature …

There’s a reason he allegedly got a “rock star welcome” the last time he spoke in Berlin, in 2008. That’s because there were free rock and reggae performances, which are what really brought all those people to the vicinity of the Brandenburg Gate.

2008 also saw considerable controversy in Berlin over the city and the country offering to a “private citizen” perks that are ordinarily reserved for visiting heads of state.  The article linked above provides an interesting history, but the excerpts below provide the evidence for what actually drew all those people in 2008:

The excitement — however artificially stimulated by opening rock bands and generously inflated crowd estimates — of Barack Obama’s speech in Berlin is now passed. …

Who paid, moreover, for setting up the stage? Who paid for the rock and reggae bands that “opened the show” before the “headliner” arrived? We know, at any rate, who paid for security: namely, the city of Berlin and hence, ultimately, German taxpayers. A special police deployment, reported to number some 700 officers, was assigned to the task. This treatment as well — the sort that is ordinarily reserved for foreign heads of state or government — constitutes a serious violation of the customary diplomatic protocols governing the relations among states.

At best, by providing Obama the high-profile “platform” put on offer by Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Klaus Wowereit, Germany involved itself in an American election campaign, thus violating a core principal of international law. At worst, by providing Obama the campaign “platform” and perhaps direct or indirect subsidies as well, Germany violated not only international law, but American law too.

In any case, whatever Americans may think of it, after Obama’s appearance in Berlin one thing is now clear: in the American elections, he is Germany’s candidate.

But is Obama still Germany’s “president” after his lame performance in 2013?

In any case, it’s clear that the price of admission in 2008 was sitting through Obama’s speech.  One wonders if the massive security kept the assembled from leaving until the speech was over.

Ever resourceful and mendacious, Obama’s campaign staff knew how to lure in the warm bodies for a photo op and correctly counted upon the complicit, Obama-loving mainstream media to just happen to neglect to mention those rock and reggae concerts.

To this day, it’s hard to find any mention of those free concerts.  Most links to stories no longer work, or the stories themselves are locked up–subscribers only.  Even so, we remember the truth.

This time, they cleverly got around the problem of explaining a poor turnout by blaming the heat and making the event “by invitation only.”  Yeah, that’s the ticket!

What about that heat?  It was allegedly grueling.  All of 86 degrees Fahrenheit!  Whew!

That’s hot.  Not!

Angela looked cool as a cucumber.  Losing TOTUS (teleprompter of the United States) must have taken a toll on Obama, however.  Boy, was he sweating!

obama_brandenburg_06192013 - Copy
Nevertheless, he muddled through by reading from a paper copy of his prepared speech.  With no apparent sense of irony, Obama said,

And as long as walls exist in our hearts to separate us from those who don’t look like us, or think like us, or worship as we do, then we’re going to have to work harder, together, to bring those walls of division down.

Obama spoke much about the defunct Berlin Wall that day, but he also brought his own wall to the event: a 2 1/2 inch-thick plexiglass wall to be exact, although others have reported that the wall was as much as 8 inches thick.  You be the judge.  Whatever the case, that was one big honking wall and probably had something to do with the heat building up behind it.  Even school children know that glass magnifies light and heat, and keeps out cooling breezes.

article-2344442-1A6712EE000005DC-452_634x482 - Copy

As you see, Obama came prepared for the heat, with his “wife-beater” singlet (aka “athletic shirt“, aka “muscle shirt“, which is a total oxymoron in his case).

Kennedy apparently saw no need for such a wall:

Nor apparently did Reagan:

If it weren’t a “by invitation only” event, one might understand; but these were apparently 4500 of his own supporters, hand picked, and presumably searched beforehand.  We’ll leave the security and the accompanying “optics” to Obama’s staff to explain away.  Times do change, one supposes.

Interestingly enough, Obama’s family was not in attendance.  No, they were seeing the Berlin sights, accompanied by Obama’s alleged half-sister Auma, who was educated in Germany.

That’s Auma Obama on the far left (literally as well as figuratively).

It’s been fifty years since Kennedy made his famous speech in Berlin. If Obama intended to eclipse JFK or Reagan, he failed miserably and ought to be ashamed for trying.  As writer George F. Will explained, however, Obama is habitually short on humility:

Obama’s vanity is a wonder of the world that never loses its power to astonish, but really: Is everyone in his orbit too lost in raptures of admiration to warn him against delivering a speech soggy with banalities and bromides in a city that remembers John Kennedy’sIch bin ein Berliner” and Ronald Reagan’s “Tear down this wall”? With German Chancellor Angela Merkel sitting nearby, Obama began his Berlin speech: “As I’ve said, Angela and I don’t exactly look like previous German and American leaders.” He has indeed said that, too, before, at least about himself. It was mildly amusing in Berlin in 2008, but hardly a Noel Coward-like witticism worth recycling.

His look is just not that interesting. And after being pointless in Berlin, neither is he, other than for the surrealism of his second term.

Pointless in Berlin

That’s good!  Only 1233 days to go in Obama’s second term (as of today). Click the link for an update.

Hang in there, folks.

  1. New Open Thread. I have to disagree with George Will or elaborate on a couple points. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/george-f-will-obama-hits-a-wall-in-berlin/2013/06/20/bfff0426-d9df-11e2-a016-92547bf094cc_story.html Will wrote:

“Regarding another threat, he spoke an almost meaningless sentence that is an exquisite example of why his rhetoric cannot withstand close reading: ‘We may strike blows against terrorist networks, but if we ignore the instability and intolerance that fuels extremism, our own freedom will eventually be endangered.’”

In this paragraph, Obama is NOT talking about Muslim intolerance. He’s once again blaming US for “fueling” Islamic terrorism via OUR “intolerance”. Will again:

“Obama trotted out another golden oldie in Berlin when he vowed to resuscitate the cadaver of nuclear arms control with Russia. As though Russia’s arsenal is a pressing problem.”

Will doesn’t get it. Obama’s NOT talking about RUSSIA’S nukes; he’s talking about OURS. OUR arsenal, in Barry’s mind, is THE threat to the world. He wants to rid the world of OUR nuclear weapons. Sheesh! Is he NOT paying attention?

    • OMG. Who knew, Zenway? Wow! 😉 No wonder he likes Barry so much. In that way, I doubt that he’s like Alec, if you know what I mean. From the link:

Germany ready for a gay leader? Many say yes

HE IS silver-haired, handsome and hugely popular. And Klaus Wowereit may well be on his way to becoming the world’s first gay leader.

Wowi, as his supporters know him, has been voted in for a second term as the left-wing Mayor of Berlin. He is also being groomed by his Social Democratic Party as its nomination for the chancellorship [Watch out, Angela!] at the next general election in less than four years.

Mr Wowereit, who caused a storm among more traditional voters last year by endorsing a sex-fetish fair in the capital featuring sado-masochism, bondage and other deviant pursuits, is now being talked up as the man to topple Angela Merkel when Germany next goes to the polls. …”

Again, no wonder he and Barry are such pals. I swear, you can’t make this stuff up!

Gay Man Becomes Acting Secretary of the Air Force

With the retirement of Air Force Secretary Michael Donley, undersecretary Eric Fanning became “civilian leader of the Air Force” on June 21.

As Buzzfeed Politics reports, this is unique because Fanning is a gay man who was in the military under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) and who now holds a leadership position as the military continues its transformation away from the ban.

In a recent interview, Fanning talked about some of his experiences in the military, particularly the years just prior to the repeal of DADT. Regarding the time when the push for repeal was taking place in Obama’s first term, Fanning said: “I didn’t know what I was going to do if we didn’t get the repeal through because some people couldn’t work because they were openly gay or lesbian.” …”

Okay, just the fact that this agenda is being pushed so hard (no gross pun intended) is proof of its degeneracy and the times we live in. .Once upon oh……decades, those who chose such a lifestyle knew it was unnatural and stayed “in the closet”. Then, **coincident* with the degeneracy unleashed in the world at large (The Woodstock era) the Stonewall riot occurred in 1969 beginning the push for “gay rights” Look how far we’ve fallen! As Morpheus said in The Matrix, you can feel it….all around you.

          • I feel it. Have felt it for a long time. They pretend to be all for freedom, equal rights, etc. But their agenda means that WE must surrender OUR freedom to choose how we live OUR lives. Our religious freedom must be surrendered. Our freedom of association, too. Our right to teach our kids what WE believe in and how WE believe they should live. Our freedom to SHAPE our OWN culture. It’s not enough for them, as I’ve said before, that people TOLERATE what they do. They want to FORCE us to admit to something that is NOT true. They want us to SUBMIT and say that what they do is “normal” and EQUAL to what God (not to mention biology) has made normal. Why is it necessary for ANYONE to be “out of the closet” about WHATEVER they do in their bedrooms? Who the hell cares? Not I, fo shizzle. I once worked with a woman who found it necessary to give us a daily account of her escapades in the bedroom with her husband. Whether or not ANY of it was true, I didn’t care. I didn’t WANT to be exposed to it and couldn’t figure out why she found it necessary to tell us. Some things are private and ought to be kept private. Please. Spare us.

  2. “And as long as walls exist in our hearts to separate us from those who don’t look like us, or think like us, or worship as we do, then we’re going to have to work harder, together, to bring those walls of division down.”

work harder doing what, exactly? and who is “we”?

    • Oh, that’s funny. They saw the same irony I did: He brings his own private WALL to Berlin. I wonder, btw, what it costs us taxpayers to haul that thing around. I think it’s Barry’s. Stories said it goes with him whenever he speaks to huge crowds. I’ve never seen it before, though, even though the story says it’s a “constant presence.” Story says it was used on election night 2008 when Barry waved to supporters. I don’t see it: http://chicagomaroon.com/2008/11/05/election-night-barack-obama-rally-in-grant-park-slideshow/ These people seem to just “report” whatever they’re told by Barry’s spinners.

What kind of climate do they have where they think that 86 degrees F is “blistering heat?” Sheesh. From where I’m sitting, I’d welcome 86! That’s downright balmy! They’re covering for him. Nobody else seemed to be sweating so much. One has to wonder if he’s on some kind of meds that make him more susceptible to overheating.

      • Short Barry or tall Barry?
        larger

Auma got to go to the state dinner. Lucky her. Rewards for keeping Mum mum?

Speaking of dinners. Did you hear that the Obamas, besides their regular Wednesday night soirees, are now having regular Friday evening dinner parties? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324049504578541791238166154.html

        • What that story says about Auma:

          “AUMA OBAMA?

Auma Obama was born in 1960 and is a year older than her President half-brother.

She is the daughter of the President’s father Barack Obama Senior and his first wife Kezia.

In 1959, Barack Obama Senior, left Africa to take up a scholarship at the University of Hawaii. Auma appears to have been conceived when his father was home on holiday in Kenya. [HA! Yeah, that’s the ticket.]

In America, Barack Sr met and married Ann Dunham, an anthropologist from Kansas. But soon after she gave birth to the future president of the United states, he left and returned to Kenya. [Soon after? Depends upon whether years means “soon.”]

Auma Obama studied German at the University of Heidelberg from 1981 to 1987 before completing her PhD at the University of Bayreuth in 1996. [Now this is interesting. 1981–that fabulous and important year for Barry, too. His missing year. 1996, she’s somehow in Bayreuth and at the same time in London. One has to wonder how and where she and Ian met. Do we know?]

She married an Englishman Ian Manners in 1996 and lived in London although the couple are now divorced.

She is now a development worker in Kenya.”

That was the first thing I though when I saw photos of him sweating so profusely: stoned or detoxing.

  3. Kenyan’s feel snubbed:

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2013/06/22/Kenyans-Furious-Over-Obama-Snub
    ~
Rhodes said that Obama is only visiting countries that have strong, prospering democracies.

    • “In Kenya, the native country of Barack Obama’s father, Kenyans are furious that Obama has eschewed visiting their country while he is traveling through Africa. Obama’s June 27th trip includes visits to Senegal, South Africa and Tanzania.

Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes defended Obama’s exclusion of Kenya by asserting that despite Obama’s “deep, personal, familial connection to Kenya … it just wasn’t the best time for the president to travel to Kenya.” Rhodes continued, “The Kenyan people hold a special place in the president’s heart. We respect the sovereign right of Kenyan to choose their leaders … We also as a country have a commitment to accountability and justice.” [a non sequitur?]

In March, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta was elected; he has been charged with crimes against humanity charges at the International Criminal Court. The crimes attributed to him include including rape, murder, and inciting violence after the 2007 election. [Uh, wasn’t that Barry’s COUSIN Raila who incited the violence? So much for the Hague.] The ICC has named him as an indirect co-perpetraor in the post-election violence that killed roughly 1,200 people and displaced more than 500,000 more. The U.S. agrees with the charges. [Is Raila indicted, too?]

Obama’s excuse doesn’t wash with Kenyans, who fired of remarks on news station Capital News blasting Obama. One teacher said, “We elected our president and whether the ICC comes or goes he is our president. We have already seen what is happening to the ICC case.” Another said, “A time will come when he (Obama) will need Kenya and he needs to remember that Kenyans’ lives were still going on even before he took over office from George Bush.” …”

America needs Kenyans now–to tell the truth.

      • And what other reasons might our “dear Kenyan” relative might want to avoid Kenya? Well, I can think of many but the Malik/Lois Lerner cohorts in crime might be a reason. Some may have already listened to this, but it deserves as much publicity as possible…..just maybe a REAL Journalist might be withing ears reach and get this into the mainstream. Lets’ ask Ghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=OaAZ8O19azk&feature=player_embedded#t=203seorge Klooooony what he thinks about the matter too, that might get a publicity ….that’s what Georgie likes isn’t it?

    • It’s scary, what with the NSA and a potentially compromised court.

“This week the Supreme Court will hand down four decisions that will mark a turning point for the United States, and some possible outcomes could even change the course of this country for the rest of our national existence. …

The first is Fisher v. University of Texas. [Full disclosure: at the request of one of the parties, I authored a brief in this case for economists and statisticians.] The petitioners argued that racial preferences in the admissions process at the University of Texas violate the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution. The Court could narrowly rule in their favor, or it could go so far as to overrule prior cases, especially the 2003 case Grutter v. Bollinger, and rule that racial preferences are always unconstitutional. That is the original meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment and, for me, it is the correct view. …

The second is Shelby County v. Holder. Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (VRA) requires certain states and localities—mostly in the South—to receive permission from a federal court or the U.S. Justice Department before redrawing legislative districts after each census, or changing their voting laws or procedures. … Now that America is a very different place, the justices are considering whether VRA Section 5 is no longer justified by the Constitution. …

One is U.S. v. Windsor. Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 (DOMA) defines marriage for purposes of federal law (such as federal taxes, immigration, and Social Security benefits) as the union of one man and one woman. In Windsor, the Court is considering whether Section 3 violates the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution. If it does, then all federal marriage benefits can now be obtained by homosexual couples and likely polygamous families as well (both native to the U.S., and those seeking to immigrate to this country from Muslim nations where polygamy is legal).

The final big case is nothing short of historic. In Hollingsworth v. Perry, the Supreme Court will decide whether the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution confers the right for any consenting adults to marry. If so, then traditional-marriage laws will be struck down nationwide in the 38 states where they currently exist, and all persons in every state will be able to enter into either homosexual or polygamous marriages. The case directly involved homosexual couples, but if the right is declared to be any union of consenting adults, then if three or more adults all consented to marry each other they would likely have the right to do so. …”

PRAY. That’s all I can say. We are at a crossroads and we can only hope and pray that somebody doesn’t sell OUR national soul to the devil.

      • Rosemary Woodhouse

Great analogy w/ Robert Johnson song. And SCOTUS are cowards, having passed it back to the lower court.

Slavery ended 150 years ago. Time enough to have gotten it together, don’t you think? Are immigrants from Jamaica, Barbados, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and other assorted islands who are granted preferential treatment descendants of slaves? No, they are not! And yet, because of their skin color they are granted a spot at the head of the line. Despicable. But again, totally our fault. I don’t see massive protests in the streets, do you? I don’t want to be mean, but they play us for the chumps we have proved to be.

Lift that barge. Tote that bail. And pay the taxes to support all people of color. We are SERFS! We are the new slave class.

        • Some may not know the legend that Johnson sold his soul in return for the ability to play guitar: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Johnson#Devil_legend It was echoed in that movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” It’s not necessary, however, to make up a legend or ascribe talent to the supernatural when somebody suddenly appears as a musical prodigy. I’ve known people who very quickly learned to master an instrument, and there was no devil involved.

Our Congress sure has proven themselves to be chumps. That’s what Barry counted upon, and he was right.

I read a very interesting comment on a youtube channel. Japan is 99% Japanese Nobody forces them to embrace diversity. Asia is not forced to embrace diversity. Only white nations have been forced to do so with very apparent results. The poster called it the silent white genocide. Very interesting premise that rings true.

When did white people become such wimps? In the 60s? 70s? Blind and (using a newspeak outlawed word with relish) retarded?

          • Rosemary Woodhouse

^^^ Post should follow voting rights discussion. My fault. Not WordPress’ this time.

          • Rosemary Woodhouse

Yes, Miri. Look at the nations where diversity is forced. All white. No forced diversity in Africa. Not Asia. And frankly, wherever colonization was defeated (Rhodesia to Zimbabwe, South Africa) those nations have been in a downward spiral ever since. Here’s an appalling thought: perhaps the continents were divided by race for a reason. I remember an old preacher who is much lambasted and never given credit by those who who have no qualms about ripping off what he taught and claiming these teachings as divinely inspired…..for them and them alone. I digress, This preacher had a very racially diverse church and that’s what he preached. I don’t know what to think about that, frankly.

Look at the Muslim/third world invasion of European nations. Australia. America. All forced in the name of diversity and tolerance. When I read this premise it it rang true: the silent white genocide. I assume they view it as quid pro quo for colonization. Something dear leader clearly resents having returned the bust of Churchill being one of his first acts in 2008.

Would I feel resentful if I were black? If I were discriminated against based solely on the color of my skin, absolutely! If I were randomly pulled over on the side of the road simply due to the color of my skin, without question! But to have allowed my entire race to be degraded and left without any dignity? I would be appalled and disgusted. And this is the way white should feel now. I ask again, look at television commercials and print ads and tell me who the minority is again.

Look up the history of Rhodesia vs Zimbabwe. Quite telling. Coming to a city near….you. Quite possible due to the p…..wussification of white men.

            • Everything you said, RW! It’s a very excellent point that no non-white countries are supposed to diversify. How about Mexico? On this continent you don’t see any calls for “diversity”, even though in some countries, like Brazil, racism is RAMPANT and it involves brown on black on various other skin colors. Ditto for Mexico, where there’s very much racism against “los Indios” by the majority (Spanish/mixed race). I’ve never heard that Mexico is being required to hire “x” number of Mexican Indians in government, etc. You sure don’t see Middle Eastern countries diversifying along the same lines that we’re supposed to here: race, SEX, religion.

Another irony from the Voting Rights Act controversy: the SCOTUS allows universities (now on a supposed “strict” basis) to celebrate and enforce “diversity” with the justification being that the student body NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED TO DIFFERENT VIEWPOINTS. How DIVERSE are universities in their staffing and academic classes? Do we see ANY conservative views? Any conservative professors? Not many.

  5. This is in the news today, concerning a kid with gender dysphoria (a boy) who’s being allowed to use the girls’ bathroom. http://www.katiecouric.com/videos/exclusive-coy-mathis-transgender-child-fights-to-be-recognized-as-a-girl/ It seems to be somehow connected to Barry, Turdi, the whole mystery of his identity: http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_22706559/pediatricians-see-growing-number-crosss-gender-kids-like

That story says there’s a growing number of kids who are “transsexual”. I suspect hormones in food, but that’s just me. What’s interesting is that some of these stories say that many times it’s a phase and when puberty hits, the kid reverts to his/her biological sex. So how is this any different than a kid being convinced he has an invisible friend and the parents insisting that the school set aside a desk and class assignments for the invisible one, in order to not “discriminate” against their child’s fantasies? I’m just askin’ and being facetious at the same time. This link contains the clinical guidelines for “treating” these kids. https://www.endocrine.org/news-room/press-release-archives/2009/clinical-guideline-addressing-the-endocrine-treatment-of-persons-with-gender-identity-disorder A bigger book about it: https://www.endocrine.org/sitecore%20modules/web/~/media/endosociety/Files/Publications/Clinical%20Practice%20Guidelines/Endocrine-Treatment-of-Transsexual-Persons.pdf#search=%22treatment%20of%20persons%20with%20gender%20identity%20disorder%22

It’s an interesting subject. The experts advise AGAINST a “complete social role change” in prepubescent children, which would seem to mitigate AGAINST the plan that Coy’s parents have followed and insisted that the school follow, too. What of the effect on the OTHER children whilst they indulge Coy’s possible fantasies? I doubt that kids that age care or even notice what is happening in the adjacent bathroom stall, but what about when Coy hits puberty? How comfortable are the girls going to be with a fully developed male in the next stall? Coy is one of triplets. There were two boys and one girl. One has to wonder the PSYCHOLOGY involved in Coy choosing to identify with his sister instead of his brother. Sibling rivalry, parental favoritism, etc. One has to wonder how the other two children today adjust to Coy’s celebrity. As they define it, “gender” is all in the head. It’s also ALL social and cultural and has NOTHING to do with biological sex or even sexual behavior. The question is: to what extent does society have to indulge this? By all this attention, is not Coy receiving a huge incentive TO continue business as usual? That longer article says that this gender dysphoria IN MOST CASES doesn’t persist into adulthood, which is very interesting. I read elsewhere that it’s very unusual for anyone under the age of 4 to express gender dysphoria, but Coy’s parents claim he did so as early as 5 months! What’s really going on here?

    • If you watch the whole interview with Katie Couric, these people have an activist lawyer. There’s a bigger agenda going on here. The mother, if you read the longer article about diagnosing gender dysphoria, makes sure to mention EVERY ONE of the criteria leading to a correct diagnosis of gender dysphoria (which used to be called gender identity DISORDER, but now it’s supposed to be NORMAL and so no longer called a DISORDER, which of course it is). So this is all political and my radar is twitching. What’s the real agenda? Is this child a victim in another way? I’m just askin’. Another psychological implication: The next youngest child is also a girl and seems to be disabled. So, given that that child probably requires a LOT of attention, what role did that play in Coy’s “dysphoria”, if any? If schools allow transgender teens to use the opposite sex bathroom, where is the protection for the other kids?

      • Ok. It appears I was wrong. The disabled child is the female triplet. Then there’s a toddler girl, who’s the youngest. In any case, did the disability of the sister play into Coy’s dysphoria? Is it attention seeking behavior? (Hey, it’s working!) This is a VERY interesting blog post by someone who “knows” the mother in question: http://fourtimesthefun.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-one-where-i-weigh-in-on.html These commenters said it better than I:

        “Jody11:47 AM

Not to mention the psychological issues of a triplet boy identifying as a girl when his triplet sister suffered severe brain damage and will never grow up. The whole situation cries out for thoughtful, careful therapeutic support for the child and the family. National media coverage? NOT SO MUCH.

It’s like you are inside my brain, Jody. I thought THE SAME THING.”

I had the same reaction as this writer when I saw that child paraded on Couric’s show. The child himself said he was uncomfortable being on TV. The child is being made a spectacle and WILL need counseling after all is said and done. Good for the kid that he’s currently being home schooled and won’t have to go back and face his peers.

        • The thing is: If this woman was a celebrity already in the world of triplets and natural birthers (in a pool in the house, no less), then one would think that somewhere in all her blog posts and commentary she would have mentioned (like when Coy was 18 month old) that he’s transgendered. Did she? I think not, because those who “knew” her didn’t put it together before now, and hey! She deleted her blog so nobody can go check. Some interesting background: http://visionarymom.com/an-interview-with-kathryn-mathis/ You’d think Couric would have a better team of researchers vetting her guests. No mention that Coy’s transgendered there. Nope, at 3 1/2, he was “neuro-typical”, which is apparently someone with Asperger’s Syndrome. The oldest kid is autistic, she says. Triplet female has a brain injury. Other triplet boy is “autism spectrum”. So all the kids have psychological diagnoses. Maybe Coy’s diagnosis was too ordinary, so something more attention grabbing …? (Do note the odd part about how she does volunteer photography of special needs and “passed” children–meaning dead ones.) She wanted to be a neonatologist specializing in special needs kids. What a coincidence that she would have at least 4 of her own. There is something very wrong with this story. Couric ought to be ashamed. This is very disturbing on so many levels. If you read all the comments at the first link (not the interview) it becomes clear that this group of women, who “knew” this mother online for years, only learned a few MONTHS ago that suddenly she says her son is a girl. AND previously, she was collecting donations allegedly for a wheelchair for her female triplet child, and actually auctioning off a date with the child for $500! I’m sick to my stomach now. I’m sorry I ever began to look into this. It’s way worse than I thought. And this will be huge news in the progressive media, with nobody looking into the facts. Another comment says that the mother is using the disabled child to also argue for the use of medical marijuana.

Since 2006, it’s been known that the FBI can TURN ON YOUR CELL PHONE, if it’s off, and once it’s on, use the mic inside it to listen to and record anything going on in its vicinity. And apparently there’s nothing to stop them from doing it. The only way around it is to take the battery out. Now, I’ve always wondered whether they can do the same with your computer’s mic–listen in to everything happening in your home. Apparently so, according to other links in that article. I’m telling you, it’s scary. They can even use the OnStar system in your car, if you have one, to listen to what you say. You can buy spyware to do this yourself! Check out this one: http://www.techdirt.com/blog/wireless/articles/20110417/21485513927/smartphone-apps-quietly-using-phone-microphones-cameras-to-gather-data.shtml

“Smartphone Apps Quietly Using Phone Microphones And Cameras To Gather Data

With the rise of smartphone apps, users don’t always know what features and functionality those apps may be using. Reports are coming out about various apps that use the phone’s microphone (and, sometimes, camera) in somewhat surreptitious ways to gather data. Now, of course, there are certain apps that people expect to use the microphone or a camera — such as music or TV show identification products. But it’s a bit of a surprise that apps such as the massively hyped (and then quickly panned) Color (which is a sort of photo sharing/location-based info service) is making use of your microphone and camera without most users realizing it:

Color uses your iPhone’s or Android phone’s microphone to detect when people are in the same room. The data on ambient noise is combined with color and lighting information from the camera to figure out who’s inside, who’s outside, who’s in one room, and who’s in another, so the app can auto-generate spontaneous temporary social networks of people who are sharing the same experience.

Another app discussed is, Shopkick, which gives people rewards for walking into certain stores. While you might think it could accomplish what it needs with GPS, apparently the stores in question have special devices that emit sounds that you can’t hear, the microphone on your phone can pick up, thus “confirming” that you really entered the store. …”

All this data gathered about you can be transmitted to businesses, which, of course, can then be subpoenaed or just asked for the data by the government.

Former Thatcher Aide: Obama’s Berlin Speech ‘Staggering Naïveté’

Former Margaret Thatcher aide Nile Gardiner, who is now a foreign affairs analyst and political commentator, wasn’t all that fond of Obama’s Berlin speech. How “unfond”? He called it “staggering naivete.” …

In stark contrast to his presidential predecessors, Obama’s message on Wednesday was pure mush – another clichéd “citizens of the world” polemic with little substance. This was a speech big on platitudes and hopeless idealism, while containing much that was counter-productive for the world’s super power.

Ultimately, it was little more than a laundry list of Obama’s favorite liberal pet causes, including cutting nuclear weapons, warning about climate change, putting an end to all wars, shutting Guantanamo, ending global poverty and backing the European Project. It was a combination of staggering naïveté, the appeasement of America’s enemies and strategic adversaries, and the championing of more big government solutions.

Obama’s distinctly unimpressive speech in Berlin was another dud from a floundering president whose leadership abroad is just as weak as it is at home. …”

I’m not so sure that Obama is naive. I think he knows EXACTLY what he’s doing and what he’s doing is not good for anyone but Obama and his obots. I never misunderestimate Barry.

    One decision down:
Supreme Court Punts on Texas Affirmative-Action Case

Capping a year of suspense with a surprise anticlimax, the Supreme Court Monday sidestepped a sweeping ruling on affirmative action and instead directed lower courts to re-examine whether a race-conscious admissions program at the University of Texas at Austin should survive constitutional scrutiny.

Justice Anthony Kennedy’s opinion reflected a broad consensus across the court’s ideological spectrum, from Justice Clarence Thomas to Justice Sonia Sotomayor—both of whom say affirmative action brought them to Yale Law School, but today take opposite positions on whether universities should grant preferences to underrepresented minorities.

Both sides took solace in the 7-1 ruling. Justice Elena Kagan, who as solicitor general participated in the Obama administration’s defense of affirmative action, sat out. In dissent, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote that the UT plan passed muster and shouldn’t be returned to the lower courts for additional review.

Edward Blum, an opponent of racial preferences who financed the lawsuit through his Project on Fair Representation, expressed confidence the program would fail when contested at trial. “The Supreme Court has established exceptionally high hurdles for the University of Texas and other universities and colleges to overcome if they intend to continue using race preferences in their admissions policies,” he said. “This decision begins the restoration of the original colorblind principles to our nation’s civil-rights laws.” … Rather than splinter the court over such a socially fraught issue without providing a clear resolution, the justices apparently decided to stick together in a narrow decision that leaves the ultimate fate of affirmative action to a future case . …”

  9. SOLE AND UNREVIEWABLE DISCRETION.

That’s what the AMNESTY bill gives to Big Sis Naps. She can waive crimes, felonies, any number of things. All on her own discretion. She can refuse to build the wall. She will have sole discretion, UNREVIEWABLE DISCRETION, to do what she wants with regard to immigration. In addition, Dana Loesch says, We the People will foot the legal bill for illegals who are fighting for amnesty and they will be allowed to SUE the USA for amnesty!

    http://cnsnews.com/blog/craig-bannister/immigration-bill-grants-unreviewable-power-seven-times-discretion-power-43

In other words, it doesn’t matter WHAT this law says, it also gives Naps sole and unreviewable discretion to do whatever she wants. She won’t have to secure the border, if she doesn’t want to. She can give instant amnesty, maybe even citizenship, to all the illegals, if she wants to. And she and the DemoncRATS will want her to do that, before the 2014 election and certainly before 2016.

SCOTUS struck down part of the Voting Rights Act:

Divided Supreme Court strikes down key voting rights provision

In a decision that marks the end of a major civil rights-era reform, the Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that the federal government can no longer force states and jurisdictions with a long-past history of voting discrimination to have to get federal approval for all of their voting laws.

The 5-4 ruling rewrites a key tool of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which for five decades has given the federal government unprecedented say in everything from how some states draw their congressional maps to where they place polling locations.

But beneath the legal ruling is a broader social significance, with the justices saying that past discrimination cannot be perpetually held against a state.

“The Fifteenth Amendment commands that the right to vote shall not be denied or abridged on account of race or color, and it gives Congress the power to enforce that command. The amendment is not designed to punish for the past; its purpose is to ensure a better future,” Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. wrote for the majority.

    The court’s four liberal-leaning justices dissented. …”

Well, that figures, because the liberals live and breathe in order to PUNISH the USA for its past. What other arguments would they have with “minorities” if they couldn’t hold out the hope of revenge and reparations to them?

  12. Nobody needs to write a post when we have Governor Palin:

Holes in the Border As Big As the Holes in Their Amnesty Bill

Just like they did with Obamacare, some in Congress intend to “Pelosi” the amnesty bill. They’ll pass it in order to find out what’s in it. And just like the unpopular, unaffordable Obamacare disaster, this pandering, rewarding-the-rule-breakers, still-no-border-security, special-interests-ridden, 24-lb disaster of a bill is not supported by informed Americans.

I am an ardent supporter of legal immigration. I’m proud that our country is so desirable that it has been a melting pot making a diverse people united as the most exceptional nation on earth for over two centuries. But I join every American with an ounce of common sense insisting that any discussion about immigration must center on a secure border. The amnesty bill before the Senate is completely toothless on border security.

It’s beyond disingenuous for anyone to claim that a vote for this bill is a vote for security. Look no further than the fact that Senator Rubio and amnesty supporters nixed Senator Thune’s amendment that required the feds to finally build part of a needed security fence before moving forward on the status of illegal immigrants who’ve already broken the law to be here. And if shooting down the border fence wasn’t proof enough, they blew another chance by killing Senator Paul’s “Trust But Verify” amendment which required the completion of a fence in five years and required Congress to vote on whether the border is actually secure before furthering any immigration measures. And then they blew it yet again, nixing Senator Cornyn’s “Results” amendment, which also required border enforcement standards. Now the Senate’s pro-amnesty crowd is offering a fig leaf to security via the Corker-Hoeven Amendment, but this is really nothing more than empty promises. It’s amnesty right now and border security… eh, well, someday. …”

“Sarah Palin Says Primary Marco Rubio & Kelly Ayotte: “I Think They Should Be Challenged”

… Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who has the most influence among conservative voters in Republican primaries, told Breitbart News on Tuesday that Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) should be primaried for their support of the Senate’s immigration bill.

Conservatives are getting ready for the 2014 and 2016 primaries. We have long memories, and there will be consequences for those who break campaign promises and vote for this amnesty bill,” Palin told Breitbart News. “Competition makes everyone work harder, be better, and be held accountable. This applies to politics, too. No one is ‘entitled’ to anything.”

She continued, “Rigorous debate in competitive primaries allows candidates the opportunity to explain their flip-flops. So think of contested primaries as a win-win for politicians and their voters.” …

Every politician should be held accountable for breaking their campaign promises,” Palin said during an interview on the “John Gibson Radio Show” on Fox News radio. “They turned their back on the American public, so why should they not be held accountable?”

Palin said Rubio had promised that “border security would come first,” and he would not support “legalization of illegal immigrants” and “amnesty” before border security while running in the Florida Republican Senate primary against Charlie Crist in 2010. She said Ayotte, whom she endorsed, had on her campaign website in 2010 that there were “no excuses” not to secure the border and also said she would not support amnesty.

“I think that they should be challenged.” …”

Me, too. No Senate seat. NO PRESIDENCY, either. Not a NBC, not even a truth teller or oath keeper. He can’t hide if he votes for this amnesty. Maybe Sarah should think about moving to Florida or New Hampshire.

One of the most serious allegations was that Mr. Rich had misrepresented the provenance of crude oil he sold in 1980 and 1981. Under complicated regulations then in place, newly found oil fetched a higher price than older oil. By illegally marking up the price of old oil and passing it through a bewildering chain of transactions, Mr. Rich sold oil at a markup of up to 400 percent. He was accused of making more than $100 million from the scheme, avoiding paying $48 million in United States taxes. …

Rich’s lawyer, Jack Quinn, had previously been Clinton’s White House Counsel and chief of staff to Clinton’s Vice President, Al Gore, and had had a close relationship with Holder. According to Quinn, Holder had advised that standard procedures be bypassed and the pardon petition be submitted directly to the White House. Congressional investigations were also launched. Defense of Marriage Act Provision Struck Down by Top Court

A divided U.S. Supreme Court overturned the federal law that defines marriage as a heterosexual union, saying it violates the rights of married gay couples by denying them government benefits.

The vote on the Defense of Marriage Act was 5-4. Justice Anthony Kennedy joined the four Democratic-appointed justices in the majority.

The law “places same-sex couples in an unstable position of being in a second-tier marriage,” Kennedy wrote for the court. “The differentiation demeans the couple, whose moral and sexual choices the Constitution protects, and whose relationship the state has sought to dignify.”

The court will act momentarily on a second gay-marriage case, involving California’s Proposition 8, which bars same-sex couples from marrying.

The historic cases, which marked the first time the high court had ever considered gay-marriage rights, reached the justices as the movement was showing unprecedented momentum. Twelve states and the District of Columbia have legalized same-sex marriage, six of them in the last year.

Joining Kennedy in the majority on the Defense of Marriage Act ruling were Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

Dissenting were Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

We have no power under the Constitution to invalidate this democratically adopted legislation,” Scalia wrote in dissent.”

Get ready for yet another raid on the US taxpayers. Now we’ll be paying survivor’s benefits. Constitutional amendment time? Not to mention: What’s NOW to stop group marriages, marriages with 12-year-olds, dogs, etc.? I see nothing in their reasoning to do so. They claim same-sex “marriage” is a “MORAL” choice. MORAL. Therefore, isn’t it a moral choice to choose to marry a child, a dog, five men, six women, a mixed group? Then we can pay survivor’s benefits to all 4 of a deceased Muslim MALE’S spouses.

Supreme Court Strikes Down Part of Defense of Marriage Act

The Supreme Court today ruled that a portion of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which denies federal benefits to same-sex couples, is unconstitutional.

Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote the opinion for the court striking down section 3 of DOMA in a landmark 5-4 decision that will have wide repercussions across America.

“DOMA violates basic due process and equal protection principles applicable to the federal government,” Kennedy said. “Under DOMA same-sex married couples have their lives burdened, by reason of government decree, in visible and public ways.”

“By its great reach DOMA touches many aspects of married life from the mundane to the profound,” he added. …

DOMA’s avowed purpose and practical effect are to impose a disadvantage, a separate status, and so a stigma upon all who enter into same-sex marriages made lawful by the unquestioned authority of the States,” [Since when is the authority of the STATES unquestioned?] Kennedy wrote in an opinion that was joined by Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. …

[In dissent] There are two parts to the majority’s opinion, the first explaining why this Court has jurisdiction to decide the question, and the second deciding it,” Scalia said. “Both of them are wrong, and the error in both springs from the same diseased root: an exalted notion of the role of this Court in American democratic society.” …”

So the progressives learned NOTHING from Roe v. Wade and they are determined to continue to DIVIDE the people, especially along religious lines.

      • In essence, they obliterated the people’s ballot and nullified their Proposition system. quite powerful. so much for democracy, ‘folks’.

How long before they are going to design something to take out the natural born American citizen who hasn’t had an immigrant in the family for at least 200 years? oh wait. that’s what all this evil crap is about.

        • The way I boil it down:

When they threw out DOMA, they said in essence that they can’t second guess the STATES and their electorates.

But when they threw out Prop. 8, they second guessed the electorate of California!

In addition, when they threw out Prop. 8, iirc, they said that neither they NOR the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals had jurisdiction or should have taken the case or decided it. THEREFORE, the way I look at it (but I’m no lawyer and would appreciate one’s opinion) they should have THROWN OUT THE 9th court’s OVERTHROWING of Prop. 8 and LET PROP. 8 STAND. But they didn’t do that.

After ruling that they weren’t going to decide it because they had no jurisdiction to, and ruling that neither did the appeals court, they LET STAND the ruling of the appeals court, which should NOT have overruled the will of the people of California!

It makes NO SENSE and is logically inconsistent. Only conclusion I can come to: What does the NSA know?

Supreme Court clears way for gay marriage in Calif

The Supreme Court has cleared the way for same-sex marriage in California by holding that defenders of California’s gay marriage ban did not have the right to appeal lower court rulings striking down the ban.

The court’s 5-4 vote Wednesday leaves in place the initial trial court declaration that the ban is unconstitutional. California officials probably will rely on that ruling to allow the resumption of same-sex unions in about a month’s time.

The high court itself said nothing about the validity of gay marriage bans in California and roughly three dozen other states.

The outcome was not along ideological lines.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion, joined by Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan and Antonin Scalia.

We have no authority to decide this case on the merits, and neither did the 9th Circuit,” Roberts said, referring to the federal appeals court that also struck down Proposition 8.

Four justices, Anthony Kennedy, Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Sonia Sotomayor, said the court should have decided the constitutional question that was before it. …”

Apparently the States have unquestioned authority, but the PEOPLE who voted on that ban had NO authority AND no “standing”.

The cost of that trip to Africa. Now he’s bringing along Mother Robinson and his niece: http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2013/06/26/obama-brings-motherinlaw-niece-africa/ (Guess the trip’s not canceled. They left this morning, according to that story. Hmm. Barry’s missing the gay celebration.)

Ya think it’s a coinkidink that they chose this week to roll out all this stuff, knowing that the SCOTUS decisions would all come down this week? Sunday, nobody’s going to be talking about any of the above. It will be Gay Day celebration all the time.

A small technology contractor that won more than $500 million in Internal Revenue Service awards in less than a year had a “cozy” relationship with an agency official, according to a congressional staff report.

Greg Roseman, an IRS deputy director, may have “influenced the selection process” to benefit his friend, Braulio Castillo, president of Washington-based Strong Castle Inc., according to the House committee document. The two exchanged frequent phone calls and text messages, the report shows. …”

According to the report, Strong Castle CEO Braulio Castillo’s close friendship with a top IRS purchasing official, Greg Roseman, may have “influenced the [contractor] selection process” in favor of Castillo’s company. …

[A report by Issa’s committee] details the company’s efforts to become eligible for special contracts that are reserved for disabled veterans and businesses in low-income areas, a move that provided Castillo and Strong Castle with a competitive advantage in the bidding process.

In one instance, in order to qualify Strong Castle as a “service-disabled veteran-owned business,” Castillo cited a foot injury that he suffered as a teenager while attending a military prep school. He has no other links to the U.S. military, and later went on to play college football. …”

I saw this on Greta Van Susteran’s show last night. In addition to this fake injury which “qualified” him for VETERANS’ bonus points (in essence) he also set up a front office in a so-called HUB area (low-income business incubator-type area) when he lived in a wealthy suburb and was already a RICH man. This sounds so VERY familiar, given how connections to Barry resulted in MANY people getting contracts with the US government (not least his own alleged half-brother’s brother).

Contractor Whose Company Got Nearly $500M in IRS Contracts Says He Didn’t Have Personal Relationship With IRS Staffer

Braulio Castillo, owner of Signet Computers, told CNSNews.com today he did not have a personal relationship with any Internal Revenue Service employee after the Associated Press reported that the House Oversight Committee was investigating whether a personal relationship between an IRS employee and Castillo “produced a series of government contracts worth about $500 million.”

“Do you have a personal relationship with somebody there at IRS,” CNSNews.com asked Castillo on Thursday.

        “Well, no,” Castillo said. …

Castillo said he had not seen Rep. Issa’s letter, adding that he had only become aware of the Oversight Committee investigation Wednesday night. Castillo said that Signet had retained legal representation and would “cooperate fully” with any investigation.

“We’ll cooperate fully when they reach out to us, when they contact us” Castillo said. “We’ll cooperate fully.”

The Treasury Department’s Inspector General for Tax Administration–one of the agencies contacted by whistleblowers according to the letter–confirmed to CNSNews.com that it was aware of Rep. Issa’s letter but could not confirm whether it was conducting its own investigation. The IRS is a division of the Treasury Department.

Treasury recently awarded Signet its 2012 Small Business Contractor of the Year award.

Signet is an IT services and equipment provider offering network design, internet security, and web development services, according to its website. A mob disrupted democracy in Texas yesterday,

As the protesters raised the noise to deafening levels in the Texas Senate chamber late Tuesday, Republicans scrambled to gather their colleagues at the podium for a stroke-of-midnight vote.

“Get them out!” Sen. Donna Campbell shouted to a security guard, pointing to the thundering crowd in the gallery overhead that had already been screaming for more than 10 minutes.

“Time is running out,” Campbell pleaded. “I want them out of here!”

It didn’t work. The noise never stopped and despite barely beating the midnight end-of-session deadline with a vote to pass the bill, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst said the chaos in the chamber prevented him from formally signing it before the deadline passed, effectively killing it.

and Barry called MOB RULE a good thing: http://www.lifenews.com/2013/06/25/obama-tweets-support-for-lawmaker-filibustering-late-term-abortion-ban/

    “Barack Obama ✔ @BarackObama

Something special is happening in Austin tonight: http:// OFA.BO/CBZ6c7 #Stand WithWendy ”

DO NOTE THAT OFA IS ALLEGEDLY A NOT-FOR-PROFIT THAT GOT ITS STATUS FROM THE CORRUPT IRS AND IS NOT SUPPOSED TO ENGAGE IN POLITICAL ACTIVITIES. TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR FRONT PAGE. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organizing_for_Action The NAME of its website is barackobama! http://www.barack obama.com/

    What wiki says:

“Organizing for Action (OFA) is a nonprofit social welfare organization and community organizing project in the United States which advocates for the agenda of U.S. President Barack Obama.[1][2] The organization calls itself non-partisan,[2] but in practice it is strongly allied with the Democratic Party of which Obama is a member. It is the successor of Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign and of Organizing for America, which itself succeeded Obama’s 2008 campaign.[3]

Founded after President Obama’s re-election, the group seeks to mobilize supporters in favor of Obama’s legislative priorities. OFA is registered as a 501(c)(4) organization.[4] The OFA website states its intention to “operate as a ‘social welfare’ organization within the meaning of section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code”. According to the OFA’s FAQ, “donations to OFA are not tax-deductible.”[2] A 501(c)(4) may advocate for legislation but is prohibited from specifically supporting political candidates.[5] …”

This organization not pay taxes, so doesn’t have to reveal its donors. It does not refrain from political work, and yet somehow avoids IRS oversight. It did not have to face the onerous and time-consuming process that ALL Tea Party, patriot, 9/12, conservative, and pro-Israel groups did. And it also PROMOTES MOB RULE. That sounds like a conspiracy that, if undertaken by conservative groups, would be investigated by the likes of Eric Holder. In addition, not only does Barry support MOB RULE by his tweet, but he also is FOR preventing laws to preserve the lives of babies! The bill being passed involved LATE TERM ABORTIONS, something that’s near and dear to the heart of Barry, since he voted multiple times in Illinois to NOT save the lives of babies born alive after abortions. He hasn’t changed his spots. The STATE POLICE should have thrown those people out of the chamber.

    • Defense of Marriage Act. Those words say it all.

Gay Marriage is its own thing unto itself. Marriage cannot be altered or modified due to its Nature. It is an entity totally different in every respect to gay marriage. Its a just a household. There’s all kinds of committed partnerships. common law. Pretense is all it is.

Marriage is when opposites become One in addition to having sex.

      • Their STATED GOAL is to DESTROY TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE. That’s their goal. It’s a sham that they want “marriage”. Now what people will do is set up SHAM MARRIAGES in order to cash in on social benefits, and that’s just okay with the Alinsky likes of Barry, who WANTS to bankrupt the USA so he and the other commies can “fundamentally transform” her. It’s all good for them. Their goal is to destroy the USA from within, to do so by corrupting it, destroying tradition, reconfiguring “morality” (now wrong is right and right is wrong), etc. AS WE KNOW but most people don’t because they’re too busy trying to live their lives and simply SURVIVE in the Obamanation. Proof that they want to cash in? The woman who initiated this entire process MARRIED her very wealthy friend only a few months before her death, once they knew she was terminal, in order specifically to avoid paying estate taxes. NOW she will get a refund even though the marriage was a total sham, entered into in the hope of evading taxes. They married in CANADA, so one has to wonder how THEIR CASE is the decider when the SCOTUS talked about whether a “marriage” is legal and recognized in one of the STATES, in order for the person to get federal benefits. Edith Windsor is her name.
