A Face You Need to Know – Kermit Gosnell (Open Thread)

That’s the face of Kermit Gosnell, a Pennsylvania abortionist who is currently on trial for murder.  It’s also the face of evil.  Don’t know his name?  Not familiar with that face?  Join the club. You’re far from alone, because his is a story that the mainstream media does not want to tell.  Gosnell is on trial, has been on trial for nearly a month, and yet you wouldn’t know it if you got your news only from the mainstream media.

Gosnell was arrested early in 2011 and charged with eight murders:  One woman died from an overdose of pain medication while being prepped for an abortion; seven babies who were born alive, after abortions, were allegedly murdered in cold blood by the “doctor” or his assistants: [emphasis added to quotes]

Gosnell, 69, was arrested and charged with eight counts of murder in all. Nine of Gosnell’s employees – including his wife, a cosmetologist who authorities say performed abortions – also were charged.

Prosecutors said Gosnell made millions of dollars over three decades performing thousands of dangerous abortions, many of them illegal late-term procedures. His clinic had no trained nurses or medical staff other than Gosnell, a family physician not certified in obstetrics or gynecology, prosecutors said.

At least two women died from the procedures, while scores more suffered perforated bowels, cervixes and uteruses, authorities said.

Under Pennsylvania law, abortions are illegal after 24 weeks of pregnancy, or just under six months, and most doctors won’t perform them after 20 weeks because of the risks, prosecutors said.  …

[Gosnell] “induced labor, forced the live birth of viable babies in the sixth, seventh, eighth month of pregnancy and then killed those babies by cutting into the back of the neck with scissors and severing their spinal cord,” District Attorney Seth Williams said.

Gosnell referred to it as “snipping,” prosecutors said.

Prosecutors estimated Gosnell ended hundreds of pregnancies by cutting the spinal cords, but they said they couldn’t prosecute more cases because he destroyed files.

Authorities raided Gosnell’s clinic … in search of drug violations and stumbled upon “a house of horrors,” Williams said. Bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses “were scattered throughout the building,” the district attorney said. “There were jars, lining shelves, with severed feet that he kept for no medical purpose.

Prosecutors said the place reeked of cat urine because of the animals that were allowed to roam freely, furniture and blankets were stained with blood, instruments were not properly sterilized, and disposable medical supplies were used over and over.

Gosnell didn’t advertise, but word got around. …

Yes, word apparently got around to potential clients, but word of his alleged horrific deeds are barely getting around the United States of America.  Local news, some blogs, conservative websites, and Christian media are covering this trial, but not the national media.  Today, from the UK media, we learn of testimony from a worker in the Gosnell abortion mill:

… Sherry West, who is a witness in the murder trial against her former boss Dr. Kermit Gosnell, said that when the tiny ‘specimen’ screamed ‘it sounded like a little alien’. …

She said that she hated working at the clinic but, like other employees there, she was given a job by Gosnell when she was struggling and desperate for money …

She had left her job as a surgical technician after 22 years when she contracted hepatitis C and began suffering from depression. She had not received a pay check in nearly two years when Gosnell, who had been her own doctor for two decades, offered to find her some work.

In one particularly graphic description, she spoke about a time when she was handed a 18- to 24-inch-long newborn in a glass pan by an assistant who asked for her help.

‘I saw it, and I thought, “What do you expect me to do?”‘ she said. ‘It didn’t have eyes or a mouth but it was like screeching, making this noise. It was weird. It sounded like a little alien.’

She said she was so ‘freaked out’ that she left the room and did not know what happened to the baby. …

Other employees have described how they saw about 100 babies born alive and then ‘snipped’ with surgical scissors in the back of the neck, to ensure their ‘demise’.

The story features mug shots of the other defendants, other faces of (alleged) evil.

So amazed are some at the near-total media blackout of this story that they’ve written to the mainstream media to demand coverage:

Twenty prominent leaders of the conservative movement have joined Media Research Center President Brent Bozell in demanding the broadcast networks stop censoring coverage of the trial of Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell and the testimony of the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates in favor of murdering children who survive botched abortions. Although abortion has re-entered the news cycle following the passage of pro-life measures in North Dakota and Arkansas, the MRC’s Culture and Media Institute finds that ABC, CBS, and NBC have completely censored both of these outrageous stories:

  • Since the Gosnell trial began three weeks ago, ABC, CBS, and NBC have given the story ZERO seconds of coverage on either their morning or evening news shows. They have not covered Gosnell once since his arrest in January 2011, and even then, only CBS did so.
  • After the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates’ testimony in favor of post-birth abortions surfaced on March 29, ABC, CBS, and NBC have committed ZERO seconds of coverage on either of their morning or evening news shows.
  • ABC, CBS, and NBC have each covered the new abortion laws in North Dakota and Arkansas, ominously describing them as the “most restrictive” in the nation.

As noted above, Bozell and the others were shocked that this story was also suppressed by mainstream media:

Florida legislators considering a bill to require abortionists to provide medical care to an infant who survives an abortion were shocked during a committee hearing this week when a Planned Parenthood official endorsed a right to post-birth abortion.

Alisa LaPolt Snow, the lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified that her organization believes the decision to kill an infant who survives a failed abortion should be left up to the woman seeking an abortion and her abortion doctor.

“So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief,” said Rep. Jim Boyd. “If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?

“We believe that any decision that’s made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician,” said Planned Parenthood lobbyist Snow.

Rep. Daniel Davis then asked Snow, “What happens in a situation where a baby is alive, breathing on a table, moving. What do your physicians do at that point?”

“I do not have that information,” Snow replied. “I am not a physician, I am not an abortion provider. So I do not have that information.”

Rep. Jose Oliva followed up, asking the Planned Parenthood official, “You stated that a baby born alive on a table as a result of a botched abortion that that decision should be left to the doctor and the family. Is that what you’re saying?”

Again, Snow replied, “That decision should be between the patient and the health care provider.”

Obviously, the “health care provider” isn’t providing health care to the baby!

The mainstream media are doing yeoman’s work suppressing these stories, because I’ve heard little to nothing about either one.  One reason why they refuse to cover these stories is likely because Barack Hussein Obama II, as a state senator in Illinois, famously voted several times against an act to preserve the lives of infants born alive after an attempted abortion.

The following audio exposes Obama arguing against the legislation on the General Assembly floor, where he referred to a newborn baby as a “fetus outside of the womb.”

“That if that fetus, or child, however you want to describe it, is now outside of the mother’s womb and the doctor continues to think that it’s non viable but there’s lets say movement or some indication that they’re not just coming out limp and dead that in fact they would then have to call in a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved?

It seems that the media, ever protective of Obama, don’t want to revisit that controversy.

In addition, since they’re mostly pro-abortion, they don’t want to rile up the American people with the FACT that babies are being murdered every day in this country in the name of “choice”.  Let’s not allow people to see what REALLY goes on behind closed doors.  It’s a choice, not a baby.

There’s also the inconvenient truth of Gosnell’s race (his lawyer is already playing the race card, calling the trial a “lynching“) and the unfortunate facts about the demographics of his clients.  These are topics the media studiously avoid.  Too messy.  Not a narrative that they enjoy repeating.  This type of dirty laundry is better swept under the rug.

Finally, they don’t want to revisit the controversy over Obama trying to force insurance companies to cover the “health care” of free abortions for all.  It’s bad enough that a court recently decided that the morning after pill should be available over the counter, for all, no matter how young the girl.  No parents need be involved; after all, your children belong to the state, not to you.

“Doctor” Gosnell faces the death penalty.  If convicted, he will likely be given a far more merciful death than was meted out to those poor little angels.  Nobody’s going to “snip” any convict’s neck, at least not in the USA.

We the People are not barbarians, after all.  Not all of us, anyway.

  2. I’ve been reading about that evil person on WND. It’s so horrible. I can’t believe someone would do that. I hope that he gets the death penalty.

    • I didn’t know WND covered it. My bad. I haven’t been reading WND lately. Just whenever anyone links to a story there. I remember reading about this guy when he was arrested but had no clue he’s been on trial for weeks. Some people will see no evil if they don’t want to see it.

  3. Years ago, my dog needed the canine equivalent of the morning after pill. The vet advised me that this hormone cocktail would be effective, but could only be used a limited number of times as it was not safe for the dog’s health. Once or twice, no more. Be sure to keep her inside when she’s in heat. He was true to his word because he wouldn’t use the morning after combo again. So tell me: If veterinarians advise against repeated use in dogs, how is it safe for pubescent girls?

    • Rosemary Woodhouse

And if you track the increase of female cancers to the time The Pill was dispensed it’s rather shocking.

      • Good point, RW. I never thought of that. I’ve always sort of assumed that it’s the hormones in food (chickens, cows, soy) that’s causing a spike in these cancers, especially because there seem to be more and more children and teens with cancer. How many classmates do you remember growing up who had cancer? I can’t think of even one. It was a big deal and shocking when Teddy Kennedy’s son was diagnosed. It was a rare tragedy when you heard about someone’s child dying from childhood leukemia. Very good point, though. I never thought about the effect of the pill. They’re pushing it down the throats of all girls, and it’s a tragedy because the pill does NOTHING to protect them from HIV and other STDs. And yet, in the name of “reproductive freedom” and “equality”, they give girls the impression that the pill will set them free. SCIENCE is ignored when it’s inconvenient to their political agenda.

  4. Over heard at a Wednesday night WH soiree, “If Obama could choose a father, he would be just like Gosnell.”

Two peas in a pod when it comes to the killing of kids that are viable and living after a late term/partial birth abortion. After all, Obama said in 2008 and again in March 2013, “if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.” That’s one way of reducing teen pregnancies – kill those angels instead. Yes, the dark man in the White House thinks it would be a punishment if the child lived and someone like the mother had to care for it. But why not suggest that the collective care for the child? Isn’t that what Bill Ayers and wife Bernadine would do? They’d give them Muslim names too just like did for Zayd and Malik? But if they are related to BHO – he’d side with his kid’s decision to abort after he’d preached about values and morals. The evil within all three men is diabolical. Not only is Bill Ayers “Guilty as hell, free as a bird” so is the guy occupying the WH. Gosnell won’t be so lucky. Satan is waiting for their arrival. It will be hot, really hot. Progressively hot.

Barack Obama Would Back Daughters’ Abortion, “Don’t Punish Them With a Baby

    • Actually, with the moles, they don’t look too much unlike.

You know what’s ironic? That they’re pushing for immigration reform because our birth rate is dropping and fewer workers will be around to support those on social security, so we need to import WORKERS. If we hadn’t murdered millions of US citizens since Roe v. Wade, there would be many more workers to pitch in to help pay back the money they stole from us Baby Boomers.

I thought the same thing: Why not have the collective care for these little ones? They think they own all the children, anyway. What’s a few million more to redistribute money to care for?

If they were in what used to be called orphanages, then they’d have them for sure–cradle to grave. You know what else they remind me of, with their desire to have universal pre-school and cradle to grave indoctrination?

How the government used to take Native American children off the reservations and send them to special schools for assimilation indoctrination. Don’t the leftists decry that? Now they’re all for it if, instead of teaching English and the genius of our Founding Fathers, they can indoctrinate them into the collective and the glories of communism.

      • what do you think schools are….there just like a semi orphanage. Cradle to grave…you’re spose to figure what you want to do in life by the time your about 6th or 7th grade. They’ve got you pigenholed and numbered in a computor somewhere. Goals 2000 , school to work links, and your whole profile. the commerce department and IRS helped work on Goals 2000. You’re human resource capital once you enter the collective…and now the Sunshine maternity health group will monitor your birth from the womb and follow you till you have your own child. Remember that

        • They are just propaganda mills. That’s why Barry and his peeps are frantically trying to figure out how to make us pay for universal pre-school, which will probably start in infancy.

      • Rosemary Woodhouse

I’ll bet he’s a (warning…..word deleted from Newspeak dictionary… gasp) mulatto. Regardless of which two races are combined, moles tend to be common among children of mixed race.

        • I agree. That’s why sometimes I suspect that Barry IS Lolo’s child and that’s the “embarrassing” information found on his original documents.

As I wrote in another thread, not much is shocking, nor has anything been for a long while. When you are continually exposed to evil not much can surprise you. I couldn’t read the article in its entirety although it is, I am certain, impeccably written, as usual. Is this the same “doctor” I read about (of course only in the blogosphere) whom kept aborted fetuses feet in jars?

If you can read this without emotion, check the status of your soul.

    • Yes, it’s the same guy who kept feet in jars for no discernible medical reason. (Unfortunately, I saw photos at the Anchoress’s blog and, imho, they looked like white feet, and I swear I’m not making that up. I don’t advise going to look, though. I couldn’t bring myself to add photos, and I know it’s not necessary for our readers to be shocked into reality.)

I’m thinking he must be akin to Kevorkian or perhaps like Dahmer, keeping trophies. A serial killer. Legal, barely. He found a way to game the system, like Kevorkian did, until he got caught.

I’m sorry if the post upsets readers. Reality is upsetting. I hesitated to write it, but I do think that people need to see that face of EVIL, especially because the media go out of their way to HIDE HIS FACE and the reality of what he did.

Abortion IS evil. It truly is. We have people who won’t step on spiders, who decry the gassing of abandoned kittens, who bemoan the deaths of baby seals, but who will go berserk if they think anyone tries to infringe upon their “choice”, which they ought to have exercised before they got pregnant, like keeping their legs together. It’s not AS IF in this day and age women don’t know HOW to prevent pregnancy.

It did make me sick to read about those precious little ones who were murdered before they ever had a chance at life, especially the one who screamed. I read that the woman who testified called them “specimens” because it was easier for her to deal with her “job” if she didn’t think of them as babies. Well, this is why the media go out of their way not to show the “products of abortion” as they like to call INFANTS–tiny, dependent HUMAN BEINGS.

AS SHOCKING is that Planned Parenthood, which we probably STILL support with our tax dollars, actually sent a spokesperson to testify to our representatives (actually Florida’s reps) that there ought to be a “right” for a mother to CHOOSE to KILL HER CHILD if he or she is born alive after an abortion–because that woman’s “choice” was that the child ought to be dead.

This is exactly what Barry said. That the baby is supposed to be dead, so by rights it should die. He doesn’t want women to be “punished with a baby” that they don’t want. How heartless and cold are these people?

It’s an inconvenient life, so just snuff it out. After the woman consults with her family and doctor–to spread the guilt around (diffuse the responsibility so after exercising her “choice” she need not feel any guilt).

We are truly lost if as a society we cannot agree that a living, breathing, separate individual infant has a RIGHT TO LIFE.

When the misguided idiots decided that women have a “choice” to abort babies before viability there was at least some logic to the argument that the child, living within its mother, infringes upon her personhood. It’s an argument, but bogus, imo; yet I understand it to a degree. However, how can they possibly defend MURDERING AN INFANT who is separate from its mother, living and breathing on its own, simply because she had hoped that it would die before it took its first breath?

To Planned Parenthood, I can only scream, “What is wrong with you people?”

  6. Steve McCann:“Why the United States is a Dying Country”

“Barack Obama, as did Mussolini, Lenin, Mao and Hitler before him, has the ability to visibly remain above the fray, appear as the champion of the people and manipulate the emotions of an ill-educated populace. In the case of Obama he has the further benefit of being able to exploit the racial guilt embedded in the American society.

In keeping with many of the tactics employed in Italy and Germany in the 1920’s and 30’s — and many other nations since, Barack Obama and his fellow travelers in the Democratic Party have, over the past five years, followed in the footsteps of these despotic regimes — all of which have ended up on the ash heap of history.

All autocratic regimes require a scapegoat in order to keep the populace in turmoil while they go about seizing all the levers of power; this regime has done the same utilizing the so-called wealthy, conservatives, evangelical Christians, and a clueless Republican Party as their focus of evil.

In order to ensure that the people will have no recourse but to accept the mandates of the government, the process of implanting their fellow radicals in the judiciary and throughout the bureaucracy has been accelerated.

The Obama cabal is intent on keeping the border unguarded and allowing millions of illegal aliens to become citizens as further assurance of maintaining control of the government. Their unrelenting effort to fight all legislation requiring voter identification confirms this determination.”

“Leftist ‘Media Reform’ Conference Underway in Denver”

“The conference is based on the premise that the media are not left-wing enough, and that government regulations and subsidies are necessary to restore the concept of a “public media” that people can rely on for news and information. A big focus of this year’s conference is urging the Obama Administration to promote more federal control over the Internet, under the guise of “net neutrality.

    • “… Gonzalez is on the conference panel called “The Media’s Influence on the Immigration Debate,” which is described as dealing in part with “the Republican Party’s anti-Latino positions…”

In 2008, Goodman and Gonzalez used their program as a platform for Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, so they could dispute then GOP-vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s charge that they were terrorist associates of Barack Obama.

Another star at the conference is University of Illinois Marxist Professor Robert McChesney, the co-founder of Free Press, the sponsor of the conference. He is identified as a “media scholar,” even though he hosts a public radio show that excludes conservatives

In an article in the socialist Monthly Review, “Journalism, Democracy, and Class Struggle,” McChesney had declared, “Our job is to make media reform part of our broader struggle for democracy, social justice, and, dare we say it, socialism.”

He once introduced Obama’s notorious anti-American pastor, Jeremiah Wright, at an event to celebrate the socialist publication.

At the time, we noted that Free Press had received at least $1 million from the Open Society Institute of billionaire George Soros, a mega-capitalist who seems to have dedicated his life to overturning the system that made him wealthy.

However, a major new player at this year’s Free Press conference is the New America Foundation, another Soros-funded group. Indeed, a Friday morning session, “More Diversity, Less Consolidation: How to Change the Media,” will be moderated by Mark Lloyd, who is in charge of the New America Foundation’s “Media Policy Initiative.” A former Associate General Counsel and Chief Diversity Officer at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Lloyd had praised the Marxist revolution in Venezuela, where the regime has attempted to control or even eliminate private media sources. …”

“Denver, Colorado: As I waited to film an interview with Susan Crawford, who is being promoted by the left as the next FCC chairman, she could be overheard expressing a burning desire to get on Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC program to attack the telecommunications industry. Crawford has written a new book, Captive Audience, which is popular and for sale here.

Free market advocate Adam Thierer of the Mercatus Center at George Mason University calls Crawford “the ringleader of the growing movement to impose centralized, top-down government control on America’s broadband infrastructure.” Broadband is also known as high-speed Internet access.

Crawford, Obama’s former science and technology adviser, was a hero to the National Conference for Media Reform, which is the brainchild of a group called Free Press. About 2,000 people attended the event.”

  8. Cruz: Obama’s View of Federal Power ‘Knows Virtually No Bounds’
    April 10, 2013 Snips

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) released a report documenting attempted abuses of federal power by the Obama administration on Tuesday, saying the administration “knows virtually no bounds.”

Cruz points to Obama’s on Supreme Court appointees, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, to make his case: “When President Obama’s own Supreme Court nominees join their colleagues in unanimously rejecting the Administration’s call for broader federal power six times in just over one year, the inescapable conclusion is that the Obama Administration’s view of federal power knows virtually no bounds,” the senator’s report said.

The Obama administration’s over-reaching includes attempts to electronically track Americans without cause and deny churches the right to choose their own ministers.
“If the Department of Justice had won these cases, the federal government would be able to electronically track all of our movements, fine us without a fair hearing, dictate who churches choose as ministers, displace state laws based on the President’s whims, bring debilitating lawsuits against individuals based on events that occurred years ago, and destroy a person’s private property without just compensation,” he said. “Luckily, we do not have to live in that America,” Cruz added.
“The Obama Administration, through its Department of Justice, has repeatedly advocated a radical theory of sweeping federal power,” the report says.

Tale Of The Two Long Forms: Hawaii Department Of Health’s Loretta Fuddy Financial Disclosure Forms Reveal Possible Payoff?
    April 9, 2013

Have you seen Fuddy’s Fiscal Interests Disclosure forms from 2011 and 2012?
I realize there are myriad perfectly innocent explanations for the $500,000.00 of interest that appears in the “Held Property” section of her 2012 disclosure but is entirely absent on her 2011 form. Nevertheless, I didn’t want to leave any stones unturned. […] — BR/ORYR: Hat tip to Pixel Patriot for combining the docs.

By saleman: Interesting on the financial disclosure. She managed to pay her debt down 78,000 dollars and also purchase a, what they call an apartment, for apparently 500,000 cash. Not bad for someone on a 100,000 dollars salary.

BTW if you go to Google maps and use the address listed 1629 Waikahalulu Ln a211, Honolulu, Hi 96817, there is a great picture of the house. In case ya’ll are interested…

  10. I’ve never been pregnant and would never go through with an abortion however I am pro-choice but what this “doctor” did was completely inhumane and he should be dealt with accordingly. What was he doing with the babies body parts? This story is horrific and I had no idea this was going on however before we blame the Left for this lets utilize some common sense. Not all abortion clinics operate the way this one did. Some actually obey the law and this isn’t about right or left it simply has to with right and wrong. This man and his staff were animals and the city failed at doing proper investigations on his clinic in order to secure the safety of his patients. He and the city failed these women and unfortunate children. Despite all of this, abortion should still be legal and apparently highly regulated.

    • I agree that the city failed these “unfortunate children” but they were doomed to be unfortunate, anyway. They were slated to die. That was their mother’s “choice”, so it seems to me that they were doomed either way. That’s what, to me, is unfortunate. Not only unfortunate, it’s horrific.

As you’ve probably guessed, I’m pro-life. I believe that once a woman has made her “choice” to get pregnant, she has a responsibility to the life that she had a role in creating. Oddly enough, our government puts that onus on men–they have no say in whether or not that life is brought to term. If and when it is, then the MAN is on the hook, according to the government, to support that child until it’s an adult.

So the woman has a “choice” whereas the man has none. Why can a woman KILL her child but a man has to live with the consequences of his “reproductive freedom”? Why does he have no “choice” to abort his incipient fatherhood, once conception has occurred? It’s insulting to women to assume that they ought to be, just naturally are, less responsible than men; therefore, they need an “out” from the consequences of their actions.

If, in the RARE instances where a woman had no “choice” about getting pregnant, then I believe that she should rise above circumstances and get the help that’s available to do the right thing for her child. But that’s just me. I believe that women are innately strong enough to deal with the consequences of their actions. We’re not children ourselves; it’s paternalistic to treat us as such.

In an article linked elsewhere on this post, Steve McCann wrote:

“… This nation is repeating the disastrous evolutionary process that has plagued so many failed nations throughout mankind’s history. This process begins with a society willing to reject the fundamental concept that is necessary for any nation to thrive and prosper: respect for the uniqueness of each individual and self-determination.

On January 22, 1973 the Supreme Court validated abortion on demand (up to the point of so-called viability) regardless of circumstances. Many of my acquaintances celebrated this decision as a monumental advancement in women’s and societal rights. I, on the other hand, was overcome with a sense of foreboding. I was appalled and openly stated that this nation had embarked on the road of demeaning and devaluing life which would lead to a society devoid of morality and integrity with the ultimate ascension into power those who would destroy this nation as founded. My warnings fell on deaf ears as I was ridiculed and accused of being an anachronism as these things could never happen in the United States.

As there were few that shared my premonition, I could only watch over the past 40 years as the American people have sanctioned, through legal abortions, the death of over 54.5 million children. Once this disregard of human life took hold, the citizens of this nation were susceptible to wholesale changes within society. Far too many of the American people, flush with prosperity, willfully ignored the infiltration of the education, media and entertainment establishments by the 1960’s radicals, the most narcissistic and radical legion of socialist true-believers on the face of the earth. Through the control of these media of indoctrination, an ever increasing percentage of the population has been conditioned to believe there are no moral absolutes and there is a limitless list of rights as granted by the government.

Since 1973 there has been the open promotion of euthanasia, the abandonment of traditional behavioral guidelines and the active denigration of organized religion together with the successful inculcation of the entitlement mentality. …”

We here at WTPOTUS are known for our “common sense”. It seems like common sense to me to first know what you’re destroying before you take the life of ANY creature, especially a human being. Is it rational to destroy your own kind? Is it NATURE to do so? Witness how mothers from every species fight to the death to DEFEND their offspring. It’s common sense to suspect that there’s something WRONG, simply wrong, UNNATURAL, about abortion.

Why don’t pro-choice activists want anyone to see the photos of aborted babies? Because they ARE BABIES. When people see the photos, they realize what’s being destroyed. Over 50 million lives destroyed in the name of the mothers’ “choice”.

You’re entitled to your opinion, of course; but imho, abortion is wrong.

      • Air Force Brat!

I fail to see why some of the so-called “stimulus” money couldn’t be set aside to create a program that would do the following:

        1) Pay all these women’s prenatal and childbirth-related medical expenses;
        2) Locate and screen prospective adoptive parents from among the millions and millions of loving couples who want, but can’t have, children of their own; and
        3) Arrange and handle all adoption-related legal and financial matters.

Think about it. The woman wouldn’t have to be “burdened” with a child she doesn’t want — she wouldn’t ever have to even look at it. She wouldn’t have to pay a dime for anything. She could assuage any pangs of conscience by knowing that she had done a decent thing that would benefit not only her, but other people also. The prospective adoptive parents could fulfill their lifelong dream of having a family. AND, all of this would cost a whole lot less than the hundreds of billions of “stimulus” dollars doled out to various groups. It would be a win-win for everyone.

        • Excellent plan. Not only is it a win-win for the reasons you cite, but it’s also a win for the taxpayers because one hopes the kids will grow up to be responsible TAXPAYERS and citizens who will help “pay it forward” (as libs love to say) and support those who made their existence possible–older taxpayers of the USA, who supplied the stimulus dollars. Your solution, however, is too humane AND it has the added problem of contributing to the preservation of the concept of the nuclear family. Leftists plan to DESTROY the nuclear family, just as Mao did. It’s a threat to the state. Remember: your kids belong to the collective, not to you. The only way I can envision the leftists getting on board with this idea is if the adoptive parents are gay.

    • Alex, by your statement you show an innocence to the realities of legal abortions. Just because they are legal does not make it humane to pierce a baby’s head or dismember it on the way to completing the killing ritual. Real, live, LEGAL abortion is horrific and our society does not even let animals be tortured in such a manner. Obeying the law? Yes, some do but what does the law allow? “What was he doing with all the babies body parts?” The legal abortionists don’t save them; they just pile into garbage bags and toss in the dumpster. (They are not LIFE, but just tissue of some sort). It was only the realization that disease is spread through mismanaged ’tissues’ that contain human blood and ‘waste’ from abortions could carry HIV virus, hep B, C, etc., that a more ‘sanitary’ (note, not “humane”) protocol was put in place. Legal procedures dictate the poisoning of the child to death. Yep, that is humane. More effort is put into making death-row inmates have a painless death. Legal abortion does not soften or suddenly make moral sucking a baby out of the womb with such force that limbs come out separately. Legal abortion allows………oh, there are plenty of reliable videos of live, LEGAL abortions on the internet. Watch a couple and see if LEGAL makes it any more good and proper than the illegal kind. Respectfully submitted.

      • Excellent, What A Hoot. TY.

We ordinarily don’t argue controversial stuff like abortion. Despite that some are covering this trail (like WND), I wanted to showcase it even more, because my particular pet peeve (besides the passport breach!) is MEDIA BIAS and how they are nothing more than propaganda machines, STATE MEDIA, for Barry. THEY still don’t cover this story, just as they didn’t cover the exacto knife slashings in Texas that happened yesterday. We wouldn’t want anybody to see the irony when Barry’s going full tilt to seize guns and gut the Second Amendment, would we? So they just don’t cover it.

I forgot to ask Alex how she (?) thinks it is that the national media just blows off this horrific story. That was the whole point of my story. Media censorship of inconvenient truths and events. No agenda there? No reason to ask why they don’t think it’s newsworthy?

The violation of all the government regulations is a story you’d THINK they’d cover. They certainly would if this were, say, a Catholic hospital.

Then there’s the Dahmer-like feature of the saved body parts, for no discernible MEDICAL reason; but just, apparently, as trophies of some kind.

Then there’s the fact that this man has made MILLIONS doing this. A capitalist.

Let’s suppose it were a white doctor who “treated” children in the inner city and somebody discovered that his treatment involved using dirty needles and untrained people to give injections, and then some little children of color died as a result. Do you think they’d cover the trial? I guarantee you that they would. Gavel to gavel.

  11. What the heck is up with this?

The U.S. government sent a man to our door to pay $90 if one of us would answer a few questions and spit in a tube.

… If somehow I’d gone to the door, I’d have seen through the window that it was a man with a clipboard and given my no-none-of-that-here hand gesture and never opened the door. And if somehow I’d started talking to the guy and he’d said the first thing — that he was doing a government health survey — I’d have abruptly refused. No way! And if he’d reached the part about giving a saliva sample, I’d have laughed in his face.

But Meade — a Hoosier, much friendlier than I am — talked to the man for what was, to me, a puzzling length of time. Of course, Meade refused to do the survey or part with the saliva, but he did receive these papers:

Questions like age and education, drinking, medicine and drug use, mood, anxiety, behavior and medical conditions and personality.” No way! Yet over 100,000 people have participated. $90 is an impressive amount of money, perhaps especially to people with alcohol problems. As Meade said later, you could buy a lot of gin for $90. I’m irked as a taxpayer. Is this a federal jobs program to tide over erstwhile census workers?

Above, you see the little brochure, [go to the link] and Meade was also given this copy of a letter that was previously sent in the mail to soften us up for government interrogation. I vaguely remember tossing it right in the trash recycling bin:

Interestingly, the softening-up letter doesn’t mention the part where the government’s independent contractor makes you spit in a tube. It also refers only to alcohol and alcohol-related mental issues. Unlike the brochure, it doesn’t mention drug use. It does, however, boldface the $90. You get $45 to sit for the interview, but $45 is withheld until you get to “the end.” … “

    • Rosemary Woodhouse

As far as Americans …or even those who pretend to be…imbecility is the new normal.

      • Those who would sell their DNA for $90 truly are imbeciles. There are so many questions and angles: What becomes of the DNA? Who profits if they do find a genetic link? How do they ensure privacy?

People should know that their own genes, once “discovered” by researchers, can end up being patented by the same researchers who then go on to design tests and/or treatments from which THEY PROFIT mightily–far more than the $90 originally paid out–because they now “own” the patent on those genes. There have been many cases before the courts. The donors (sometimes unwilling or unknowing) are shut out of profits being made from their own DNA.

  12. If he told me to spit in a tube I would tell him to go P in the lake. 😆

  16. Good Lord, is everyone in the democratic party and the EPA just plain nutz? Will Maryland citizens go along with this just because their state idiots passed it as law?

    Maryland Governor TAXES RAIN
    April 10, 2013 Snips

Maryland Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley has instituted a tax on citizens for the amount of rain that falls on their property.

The tax, officially known as a “storm water management fee,” will be enforced in nine of the state’s counties. The state legislature passed it in 2012 purportedly to “raise revenue to cleanup [sic] the Chesapeake Bay,” according to MarylandReporter.com.

Former 2012 GOP U.S. Senate candidate Dan Bongino bashes the tax in a Wednesday afternoon press release. The law “requires individuals, businesses, and even charitable organizations and houses of worship to pay a tax based on the amount of rain that falls on their property and the ‘impervious surfaces’ on their land,” he says.

The tax, mandated by the EPA and enforced locally, will be calculated “through satellite surveillance of your property,” the statement claims.
According to the conservative organization Change Maryland, the rain tax will cost Marylanders about $300 million annually.

    • iirc, some other city tried to institute a similar rule. It was to pay for sewers and storm water treatment. They were trying to figure out a way to make the costs more “fair”. So they planned to take overhead photos of properties and calculate the “impervious surface” area and then charge by that amount instead of by a set monthly fee for sewer service. Of course, there are people who use rain barrels or rain gardens, so that wouldn’t be fair, either!

The idea was that big shopping developments have huge parking lots and a lot of rainwater runoff, so it’s not fair that they pay the same as small businesses, etc. iirc, the idea was deep sixed; but it did also have something to do with the EPA, because storm water runs off into rivers and streams and can pollute them.

In older cities, sometimes storm water goes into the sewage system (from toilets) and is supposed to end up at the treatment plant; but when there’s a heavy downpour, they have relief valves to keep water from backing up into people’s basements. Then the sewage (mixed with rainwater) gets re-routed into rivers, causing pollution that the EPA is regulating. These sewer systems are very old and the feds are leaning on older cities to come up with the dough (a huge amount) to rebuild them.

  17. AFL-CIO: We Will ‘Steamroller’ Any Lawmaker Who Opposes Amnesty
    10 Apr 2013

A principal official at the AFL-CIO, one of America’s biggest labor unions, said Wednesday the organization would politically demolish any politician who opposes mass amnesty for the country’s at least 11 million illegal immigrants. “Politicians know that if they stand in the way of citizenship we will steamroller them,” AFL-CIO director of immigration Ana Avendaño said, according to the Financial Times. “That’s a fun evolution.”
The [IMMIGRATION ] bill is expected to be around 1,500 pages long, and Senate Budget Committee Republican staff estimates the package will cost taxpayers several trillion dollars to cover entitlements for the illegal immigrants who are expected to be legalized as a result.

  18. Mother Jones Rewrites McConnell Tape Transcript
    10 Apr 2013

In the wake of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) accusation that his offices had been illegally recorded in a tape handed out by Mother Jones, the liberal publication has now released a doctored transcript of the tape itself in an effort to suggest that McConnell’s staff was engaged in violation of Senate rules.

[SEE THE TRANSCRIPT CHANGES. “in their free time” was changed to “thank them three times” which makes no sense in context. The lying demoncrats at Mother Jones were caught!]

The question is whether Maxson and the other McConnell LAs were digging up material on Judd while on government time. If they were engaged in this research while on annual leave or vacation—or working outside Senate hours—they wouldn’t be violating Senate rules. But if this was done on Senate time, McConnell could have a problem.”

    • And O bam a plots to take down America while “on the job” Or is that why he golfs and vacations so much; everything he says and plans against Americans is then on his own time? How lame of Mother Jones.

    • It’s disgusting. They’re making a big hero out of Corn, too. http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/david-corn-and-mother-jones-find-themselves-with-another-audio-scoop/2013/04/10/dd37a8a0-a21b-11e2-82bc-511538ae90a4_story.html?hpid=z2

David Corn and Mother Jones find themselves with another audio scoop [Yeah, they just “found” it. Did the bartender who recorded Romney face ANY punishment at all? I guess nobody bothered to ask who put him up to it.]

The Mother Jones magazine reporter and MSNBC pundit was busy Wednesday handling the fallout from, and some fawning over, his latest revelation about a prominent Republican. Corn unearthed the audiotape of a private meeting in which Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and his aides mocked a would-be political rival, the actress Ashley Judd, and plotted tactics to undermine her. An unidentified source leaked the surreptitious recording of the February meeting to Corn.

And just like that, Corn and Mother Jones had their second major bombshell in seven months. The first, of course, was one of the most consequential scoops of the presidential campaign — a leaked video recording of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney saying at a small fundraiser last May that “47 percent” of voters were “dependent” on the government. (Corn will receive the prestigious Polk Award for Political Reporting for the Romney story on Thursday.)

Corn, 54, says the two career-making stories might have been linked. He guesses that his source on the McConnell recording — whom he won’t reveal — came to him because of the way he handled the Romney recording and the firestorm it ignited. But that’s just speculation: “I literally don’t know why” the source came to him, he says. “I didn’t ask.”

Corn and Mother Jones, a liberal-leaning nonprofit magazine based in San Francisco, never revealed who gave them the Romney video or how it was shot. The leaker, a bartender at the Romney fundraiser named Scott Prouty, outed himself in an MSNBC interview last month. Prouty, in turn, said he felt comfortable with Corn because of his earlier work for Mother Jones, especially his articles about outsourcing. …”

He spent several days authenticating it, ensuring that it wasn’t faked, doctored or taken out of context. … he felt certain that he had the real deal …

“There’s no such thing as being 100 percent about [digital media] these days,” he said …

Despite ample criticism, including from McConnell, that the audio recording is an invasion of privacy, Corn argues that its newsworthiness trumps those concerns.

“I think voters and citizens have a tremendous right to know almost as much as possible of the elected officials who come before them and ask for their votes,” he said. …”

Let me guess that Corn ridicules “birthers” and also considers that the “birth certificates” released ONLY IN DIGITAL FORM are authentic. Let me guess further that Corn spent no “days”, not even seconds, “ensuring” that the birth certificates were not “faked” or “doctored,” and making sure that they’re the “real deal” because, after all, he believes that We the People have a “tremendous right to know almost as much as possible of the elected officials” in our government. Believing that in his heart of hearts, I’m sure that he would consider ASKING OBAMA TO SHOW US HIS REAL ORIGINAL PAPER, 3-D, AUTHENTIC AND CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

        Corn wrote:

“After years of intermittently swatting at the birthers and dismissing their conspiracy-theory-mongering, the White House took a step to shut down the nonsense once and for all. In a surprise move on Wednesday—there were no hints beforehand—the White House handed out copies of the long-form birth certificate to reporters at an early morning briefing and posted it on the White House blog. The document clearly demonstrates that the president was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961 (as did the certificate of live birth released by Obama’s presidential campaign in 2008).”

        • Re: Mother Jones and the NEW LEFT (sorry I do not have time right now too elaborate on this)

          Ramparts (magazine)

Ramparts was an American political and literary magazine, published from 1962 through 1975.

Founded by Edward M. Keating as a Catholic literary quarterly, the magazine was closely associated with the New Left. Executive editor Warren Hinckle hired Robert Scheer to replace James F. Colaianni as managing editor when Colaianni was promoted to Assistant Publisher. Contributors included Murray Rothbard, Noam Chomsky, Cesar Chavez, Seymour Hersh, Tom Hayden, Angela Davis, Jonathan Kozol, Todd Gitlin, Sol Stern, Tariq Ali, Alexander Cockburn, Christopher Hitchens, Saul Landau, David Welsh, and John Beecher. Unlike most leftist publications, Ramparts was expensively produced and graphically sophisticated. It reached an audience that may have been put off by the grittier “movement” publications of the time.
Ramparts was an early opponent of the Vietnam War. Its April 1966 cover article concerned the Michigan State University Group, a technical assistance program in South Vietnam that Ramparts claimed was a front for CIA covert operations. In August 1966, managing editor James F. Colaianni wrote the first national article denouncing the U.S. use of napalm in that conflict. One of the magazine’s most controversial covers depicted the hands of four of its editors holding burning draft cards, with their names clearly visible. Ramparts also unearthed the first conspiracy theory about the Kennedy assassination, and in 1967, editor Sol Stern’s interview revealed that the CIA had backed the National Student Association as part of its Cold War strategy. The magazine published Che Guevara’s diaries, with an introduction by Fidel Castro, and the prison diaries of Eldridge Cleaver, later republished as Soul On Ice. Cleaver was a Ramparts editor when he witnessed a confrontation between Huey Newton and a police officer outside the magazine’s office in February 1967; he soon became the Black Panther Party’s minister of information.
Several former staffers went on to found their own magazines, most notably Mother Jones and Rolling Stone. Robert Scheer later became a featured columnist in the Los Angeles Times and is now the editor of Truthdig and a regular participant in the NPR program Left, Right and Center. Another Ramparts editor, James Ridgeway, is a senior correspondent in the Washington DC bureau of Mother Jones and the author of many muckraking books. James F. Colaianni went on to represent the radical Catholic perspective with the books Married Priests & Married Nuns and The Catholic Left. Two editors, David Horowitz and Peter Collier, later underwent political conversions and became neoconservative critics of the left. For a brief time, the magazine’s Washington correspondent was Brit Hume, now of the Fox News Channel.

The magazine also featured discussions of arts and culture. It included contributions from (or interviews with) Thomas Merton, Allen Ginsberg, Kurt Vonnegut, Ken Kesey, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Gabriel García Márquez, Susan Sontag, Eduardo Galeano, Peter Ustinov, Erica Jong, and John Lennon.

    • I heard it and now can’t remember what it was I heard! But the news is that two guys in Kentucky were found to have gotten the tape from the meeting with McConnell. They are linked to ??? Progress, I believe. Looking for an news article to clarify.

      • Ky. Dem Says Liberal Super PAC Progress Kentucky Made McConnell Tapes
By Andrew Johnson & Andrew Stiles
        April 11, 2013 2:08 P.M Snip

Jacob Conway, a committee member of the Jefferson County Democratic party, spoke with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly this afternoon to reveal that Progress Kentucky, a liberal super PAC, is responsible for the tapes released this week from Mitch McConnell’s campaign headquarters.

Conway said he met a couple months ago with Shawn Reilly and Curtis Morrison, one a founder of and the other a volunteer for Progress Kentucky, who told him that they had recorded McConnell: “They told me they were there, they told me they were in the hallway, they have a recording, so you can draw your own conclusions.” Conway first came forward with the information on a local NPR affiliate, and has not been contacted by the FBI yet. He said he doesn’t know if the group has other recordings.

“The only reason that I came forward with what I knew was I was trying to protect the Democratic party,” Conway explained, because he didn’t want the “mistakes” and “lack of judgment” of Reilly and Morrison “to hurt our party’s efforts,” saying he believed the McConnell campaign would try to tie the local Democratic-party operation to Progress Kentucky. He also said that Reilly’s and Morrison’s operation was impromptu, explaining, “it was not a bugging by what you and I would consider that, as Nixonian bugging. That’s a little overdramatic.”

The tapes were published by Mother Jones earlier this week and received attention because they included the McConnell campaign’s discussing the religious beliefs and mental-health issues of potential candidate Ashley Judd. McConnell had claimed that his headquarters were “bugged,” calling it “Nixonian” and comparing it to Watergate, but Mother Jones denied they were illegally obtained.

        • And we’re supposed to believe that nobody put them up to it. This is EXACTLY like Watergate, except it’s worse because they taped a private conversation involving a Congressman. And how did they happen to find Corn?

“Under state law, it is a felony to “to overhear, record amplify or transmit any part of a wire or oral communication of others without the consent of at least one party thereto by means of any electric, mechanical or other device.”

In February, Progress Kentucky made news for attacking McConnell’s “Chinese” wife, former labor secretary Elaine Chao, who was born in Taiwan. The group later apologized.”

They must have made that “news” locally because I don’t recall hearing about THAT, either. However, imagine if a Republican group attacked a DemoncRAT’s wife for her ethnicity. Front page news. http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/341619/liberal-kentucky-super-pac-attacks-mitch-mcconnells-chinese-wife-nathaniel-botwinick

The liberal super PAC Progress Kentucky has recently been exposed for mounting a racially tinged campaign in a series of tweets against Senator Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, the former secretary of labor under President George W. Bush:

In a Feb. 14 Twitter message, Progress says: “This woman has the ear of (Sen. McConnell)—she’s his wife. May explain why your job moved to China!”

Other messages from Progress’s social networking account about Chao have run for the past several days, saying her “Chinese (money)” is buying state elections. According to campaign finance records, members of Chao’s family donated $80,000 to the Kentucky GOP last year.

The super PAC has also posted vocal support of their criticism, one of which said “not many know McConnell’s wife is Chinese.”

Chris Morrison, a spokesman for Progress Kentucky, acknowledged that some of their tweets may “have crossed the line” and offended some Kentuckians, but he insisted that “it’s fair to question whether or not there’s a conflict of interest.”

This fool doesn’t know the history of China and Taiwan? btw, is CHRIS any relation to CURTIS Morrison?

          • Here’s how it works with the DemoncRATS: If you’re a Republican, you can’t engage in opposition research. If you’re a Republican, and if you learn that some of your peeps intruded into the campaign headquarters of a DemoncRAT, then you lose your job, even if you’re a president. And the Congressional hearings into your so-called coverup is broadcast gavel to gavel on every network across the nation and your name goes down in infamy. But ANY dirty tricks perpetrated by DemoncRATS against Republicans are fair and actually, patriotic. More details:

“Conway said Shawn Reilly and Curtis Morrison told him they snuck into McConnell’s freshly-opened campaign office February 2, not long after McConnell held an open house for GOP activists and media members. They heard the meeting going on through a closed door and recorded it.

“When I guess they heard the tasteless and offensive and tacky things the McConnell campaign was saying, they decided to record it,” Conway told Fox News in a later live phone interview. “They told me about it later that day, or maybe it was the next day. I don’t really remember, it was a couple months ago.” [So he invents an EXCUSE for them and redirects the responsibility for their FELONY against McConnell. I suppose NOTHING “tasteless and offensive and tacky” was EVER said by ANYONE in an Obama campaign meeting. Nope, they say it right out in the open, to the press, for example, about Sarah Palin. The press, btw, that does the dumpster diving FOR the DemoncRATS so they don’t have to.]

Benton said the FBI was examining surveillance footage from the building’s lobby, but hadn’t directly asked about Progress Kentucky, Reilly or Morrison.

Benton, a longtime aid to former Rep. Ron Paul and Sen. Rand Paul, also defended the campaign’s discussion of Judd’s mental health.

What we were discussing was not a strategy, we were just discussing simply what was out there in the public record,” he said on Fox News. “These reports and accounts were things that she wrote about in her own autobiography. These were things that she brought in to the public record. We didn’t find these on some dumpster dive, we weren’t dragging skeletons out of her closet.” …

National Republican Senatorial Campaign spokesman Brad Dayspring continued to pressure national Democrats in a statement.

It is becoming more and more likely that this was a coordinated hit by the left, and it’s telling that the DNC and DSCC remain silent about what they knew about the illegal tape and when they knew it,” Dayspring said. “There’s no telling where this trail ends.” …”

Corn declined to comment. I wonder. This is a felony. Does it make him an accessory after the fact? Are reporters immune from prosecution when they profit from a felony? He vetted the tape for authenticity, but he didn’t bother to see if it was LEGALLY recorded? He implied to someone that it was, iirc.

Watergate was front page news for MONTHS. Gavel to gavel live coverage of the hearings. THIS STORY IS STILL NOT EVEN REPORTED ANYWHERE IN MY LOCAL PAPER.

That story seems to report that the DemoncRATS believe it’s not a “bugging” if you don’t plant the bug but just hide in the hallway to record! Amazing. It’s a FELONY, no matter how they did it. They weren’t even supposed to be there in the hallway. Another story says they “snuck” in.

“The creators of the recording could face criminal charges. Gene Policinski, senior vice president and executive director of the First Amendment Center, said it depends in part on whether there was a reasonable expectation of privacy during the taping and whether physical trespassing was involved. What is clear is that if Mother Jones was not involved in acquiring the tape, the First Amendment protects the magazine from prosecution.”

Oh, I see. Make more excuses for them. Find some wiggle room to let them off. Surely if the orders came from higher up, they will be provided with an out. No, you’re in your campaign headquarters with the door closed, but you have no “reasonable expectation of privacy.” If they “snuck” in, then that assumes they were trespassing. What hallway were they in? A public hallway in a building or an INTERIOR hallway within the campaign headquarters?

      • Anybody remember where it was found that someone had gotten Romney’s taxes that they were going to reveal? Was it Kentucky?

  19. Ruh Roh! Daughter Of Rev. Jeremiah Wright Charged With Money Laundering!
    April 10, 2013, 9:24 PM

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that Jeremiah Wright’s daughter has allegedly been a naughty little money launderer, and if true, it would appear as though her chickens are coming home to roost.

Jeri Wright, 47, faces two counts of money laundering, two counts of making false statements to officers and seven counts of giving false grand jury testimony.
She couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Jeri Wright of Hazel Crest is accused of helping former Country Club Hills Police Chief Regina Evans convert fake paychecks from Evans’ nonprofit to Evans’ personal use, allegedly hiding money that was supposed to be used to train minority and female workers in the building trades.

Federal prosecutors in the Illinois’ central district say Jeri Wright received about $28,000 in grant-tied paychecks in 2009, but $20,000 of that was deposited back into accounts controlled by Evans. Prosecutors also say Wright then lied to officers and a grand jury.

    • Enjoy prison Jeri! Maybe you think you will get a pardon from your lawless usurping presidente? Will Rev. Wright do some blackmailing of his own (like calling in some really big eligibility chips?) to get his kid set free? Will Eric Holder, the criminal AG, make the Feds drop the case? Will Sharpton, Farrakhan, and Jackson get into the battle and cry racist? The “Collective” didn’t do a great job of raising this child who is now an adult! Did she learn tricks of the trade from her dear old dad? Perhaps that apple doesn’t fall to far from the tree after all! What will the Reverend say during his next sermon? Will Rev. Wright ramp up his tune of God Damn America? Will the parishioners hear him as much as Obama did? Aren’t we all each others brother’s keepers? Will Obama ask the Feds over for a beer summit? Will the MSM report? Waiting …and popcorn is poppin!

      May real justice prevail!

      • Rosemary Woodhouse

My, my, my. Looks like his chickens have indeed come home to roost.

      • You’re so funny! The collective didn’t raise her up right. Fo shizzle. How will they figure out a way to get her out of this one? It’s surprising it got this far in the first place. Maybe this is leverage to KEEP the “reverend” mum.

  20. Who gave them this authority? Timothy the Tax Cheat Geithner, Secretary of the Treasury, is in charge of the IRS. What a criminal set-up!

IRS: We Don’t Need a Warrant to Read Your Emails
    April 10, 2013 Snip

Last year the ACLU filed a Freedom of Information Act request to the IRS. The request was in regards to whether the IRS obtained a warrant before searching a person’s electronic communications privately sent such as emails and text messages. Like many federal entities they feel they are above the law and laws do not apply to them. The IRS has been disregarding the 4th Amendment and obtaining private messages 180 days old without warrants. In 2010 the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals decided ”United States vs. Warshak” that the government has to obtain a warrant before making email providers turn over private messages.
UPDATE: That’s not all the IRS is doing. Apparently they are spying on social media such as Facebook and Twitter to find out more about your finances and personal information.

    • Just another instance of the communist-founded ACLU actually DOING THE RIGHT THING for a change! TY, ACLU. If you ask me, this is ALSO a violation of our Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination. We have a freaking right to privacy. The leftists told us so when they argued for abortion.

Just another reason to avoid Facebook and Twitter.

    • The thing is that when you decide to publicly post something on Facebook or Twitter, it’s your bad if they look at it, just as it’s your problem if your boss reads it. It’s public if you make it so. Your private email is another thing altogether. The thing is, too, that Facebook has a nasty habit of giving you “new” features and often they reset your privacy settings in the process. That’s THEIR BAD. They are none of them to be trusted, imho. Who believes that the obots that populate the cubicles in these “social media” companies are all ethical, honest, and do not invade your privacy? Ask the likes of Mitch McConnell and Governor Sarah Palin.

      • Nice, isn’t it? These are the kind of people our so-called POtuS chooses to associate with and have in the People’s House which is now, let’s face it, the PRESIDENTIAL PALACE. Why mince words? That’s what it’s become. What a wonderful role model for the young people of the USA. You’d think that this first “African-American” president would take care to place better role models out there for young people to emulate, especially black children who not only probably look up to Barry but who are INDOCTRINATED to practically worship him in schools. F-word and all. Nice, as I said. Is he a potential domestic terrorist? Is this a terroristic threat?

Aren’t the leftists all for legalizing pot? My, this will hurt their narrative. Did their road to ruin begin with smoking pot? What’s a “consulting engineer”?

  24. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2013/04/wisconsin-public-school-crossword-puzzle-conservatism-defined-as-restricting-personal-freedoms/

Wisconsin Public School Crossword Puzzle: Conservatism Defined as ‘Restricting Personal Freedoms’

Eighth-graders in Wisconsin’s Union Grove school district were assigned to fill out a “Liberalism vs. Conservatism” crossword puzzle, and they learned some new and very questionable “facts.”

Students learned conservatism is “the political belief of preserving traditional moral values by restricting personal freedoms … ”

Conversely, they learned liberalism is “the political belief of equality and personal freedom for everyone, often changing the current system to increase government protection of civil liberties.”

The crossword puzzle was part of a civics assignment that was forwarded to EAGnews by Tamara Varebrook, a local conservative activist whose eighth-grade daughter received the lesson at Union Grove Elementary School yesterday.

Varebrook said she posted the assignment on her Facebook page to share with other parents who might not be aware of the blatant political bias and effort at indoctrination, disguised as “civics.” [Someone in comments identified it as part of that Common Core curriculum pushed by the commies.]

“The definitions of conservatism and liberalism make me sick,” Varebook told EAGnews. “I think it’s horribly distorted and it’s biased.”

Varebrook, who serves on her local Republican Party board and has appeared in commercials promoting conservative values, said she was particularly disturbed by the definition of conservatism as “restricting personal freedom.”

“It’s insinuating conservatives don’t believe in people having civil liberties. That it’s only for old-fashioned fuddy-duddies,” Varebrook said. “That’s completely negative. It’s completely false.” [And because they create this false dichotomy, they also imply that ONLY liberals believe in EQUALITY!]

On the back side of the crossword puzzle was a political survey students were required to fill out to identify their beliefs, something Varebrook believes is equally troubling. …”

That beliefs questionnaire was TOTALLY troubling. Why? Because they ask kids to circle statements they agree with. Surely the kids by now know what’s the “correct” way to respond to such a survey. Even if in their hearts they believe in the conservative statements, they will also know not to circle those statements or else they will face shaming from the teacher and some peers. Guaranteed! In addition, it’s “shaping” their minds. Making them circle the “correct” statements, by intimidation (you know it will happen), brainwashes them. Some of the statements are:

“Any citizen should be allowed to own firearms for personal protection” and

“Gay Americans should not be allowed to serve in the military” and

“Affirmative action is unconstitutional because it is reverse discrimination.”

Those three IN PARTICULAR could be used by the teachers to identify children whose parents may have guns in the home and to label the children as racists or bigots (anti-gay).

Imagine being a white child with a black or hispanic teacher. Dare the child circle the statements that he or she truly believes in? If the student says that affirmative action is unconstitutional, will the child be sent to sensitivity training?

What business is it of teachers to have a belief system LITMUS TEST for school children? What do they do with the results? Keep in mind that there are actually published psychological studies that posit that conservatism is a mental illness. Is this a plan to IDENTIFY children who need corrective brainwashing? Will these surveys end up in a child’s school record, to be perused by the high schools or colleges to which they apply for admission?

    Here’s the full list:

    Check out this one:
“Public schools allowing prayer violates the separation of church and state as guaranteed in the Constitution.”

Mind you, there was nothing in the gun question about how keeping and bearing arms is guaranteed in the Constitution, and yet here’s this FALSE premise that the Constitution guarantees “separation of church and state” which is “VIOLATED” if schools ALLOW prayer!

Do they not know that the SCOTUS has already come down on the side of prayer in schools? Of course, not school-sanctioned prayer; but still, prayer IS “allowed” in school. In fact, it’s a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution that one has freedom of religion and so a school cannot prevent anyone from PRAYING in school! A God-given right that government CANNOT INFRINGE upon. Government does not ALLOW us to practice our rights. We have them. The Constitution prevents government from infringing upon them!

    I like this one:

“Civil rights should be given to all citizens regardless of sexual orientation.”

WTF does that mean? All citizens HAVE civil rights and the government does not GIVE THEM to anybody. We the People have rights. We ALL have civil rights. These people are nuts.

    Here’s a classic:

“Drugs used for recreational OR medicinal reasons should not be illegal.” Now how the heck can anybody judge that statement?

If you agree with it, you’re saying that recreational drugs should be legal.

If you disagree with it, you’re saying that medicine should not be legal!

Not only aren’t they teaching them PROPER (correct, factual) civics, they don’t even teach them proper ENGLISH. The statements themselves are imprecise and contain many false premises and implications.

Notice how they misrepresent the reason why people are “allowed” to have guns: personal protection. Now, fo shizzle, we can infer that in no way do they EVER teach these kids the REAL REASON for the Second Amendment.

    • Thank you for posting that. I’m going to go over this with my kids to show them the bias inherent in the questions, and how the public school system is trying to groom students into future Democrat voters.

    • EXCELLENT! I’m so glad of this. I hate to see that man’s face at the top of the blog every day, but this story needs reporting. I read more of the Twitter feed and people are writing ironic tweets comparing Barry’s “logic” on gun control to Gosnell. Barry said that gun control is worth fighting for if he can save just one life. Similarly, abortion control is worth fighting for if we can save just one life (actually, we’d save millions)!

      • Sarah weighed in now, so this is going to go viral; it’s already viral.

Sarah Palin Brings Horrific Gosnell Abortion Trial To Light -Media Silent

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin shined the light of truth on the Kermit Gosnell Abortion Trial in Philadelphia by thanking Democrat and frequent Fox News Contributor, Kirsten Powers – by writing the following note on her Facebook page:

We’ve forgotten what belongs on Page One.”

Kudos to Democrat and fellow Alaskan Kirsten Powers for getting the important truth out there on this horrific story, and for USA Today for printing it. Sadly, but not surprisingly, the mainstream media has once again shirked their journalistic duty in exposing the truth behind this horrific procedure which Planned Parenthood tries to spin as untrue. As many in our party call for “social truces” and encourage candidates to stop talking about social issues, I’d remind them to heed the advice of Lady Thatcher: “This is no time to go wobbly.” If our country does not start to focus on returning to a culture that respects life, how can we ever expect to solve the growing problem of violence? …”

Sarah is a good spokesperson because weren’t we “treated” to the leftists snarking that she ought to have considered abortion for Trig? That shines the spotlight on these heartless and soulless leftists more than anything else could.

9 Things You Should Know About the Gosnell Infanticide and Murder Trial

… According to prosecutors in Philadelphia, Gosnell catered to minorities, immigrants, and poor women, and made millions of dollars over 30 years performing illegal and late-term abortions in squalid and barbaric conditions. Gosnell took extra precautions with white women from the suburbs, according to the grand jury report. He allegedly ushered them into a slightly cleaner area because he thought they would be more likely to file a complaint.

… a 15-year-old student performed anesthesia with potentially lethal narcotics

… On January 31, 1998, a then 15 year old Robyn Reid sought an abortion from Gosnell’s clinic. Once she was in the clinic, though, Reid, an 87-pound teenager at the time, told Gosnell she changed her mind about the abortion. She claims Gosnell got upset, ripped off her clothes, restrained her, and repeatedly told her, “This is the same care that I would give to my own daughter.” Reid regained consciousness 12 hours later at her aunt’s home, with the abortion having been completed against her will. …”

So much for her “choice”. In addition, there’s testimony that Gosnell laughed about the size of some of the babies, opining that one was big enough to walk out and get on a bus by himself. He LAUGHED as he killed them. But this is NOT newsworthy.

    • Gosnel – Warning: it is extremely disturbing. 281 pages of gruesome discoveries and testimony. Infanticide goes unreported by the MSM as does Obama’s approval of partial birth abortion. This is beyond abortion – Gosnel is a serial killer who kept trophies such as baby feet from his kills in jars like you’d see in a biology lab containing frogs awaiting dissection. I can’t think of another person that deserves the death penalty as much as this psychotic personality. The MSM doesn’t report because it would hurt the funding of Planned Parenthood, and also show the evil that Obama supports.

      From this story: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/getreligion/2013/04/a-wapo-reporter-explains-her-personal-gosnell-blackout/

WPost reporter explains her personal Gosnell blackout

Inspired by Kirsten Powers’ USA Today column yesterday, I decided to start asking journalists about their personal involvement in the Gosnell cover-up.

I began by asking the AP’s national social issues reporter why he hadn’t been tweeting to AP coverage of the Gosnell trial. I had to ask a few times and then … there it was … finally …. a tweet on the Gosnell trial. Then he told me that the AP was covering the trial (which I knew, as I’ve critiqued it here). I reminded him that I was wondering why he hadn’t been tweeting to coverage of Gosnell. I asked him to correct me if I was wrong about his lack of tweets. He didn’t.

Then I decided, since tmatt has me reading the Washington Post every day, to look at how the paper’s health policy reporter was covering Gosnell. I have critiqued many of her stories on the Susan G. Komen Foundation (she wrote quite a bit about that) and the Sandra Fluke controversy (she wrote quite a bit about that) and the Todd Akin controversy (you know where this is going). In fact, a site search for that reporter — who is named Sarah Kliff — and stories Akin and Fluke and Komen — yields more than 80 hits. Guess how many stories she’s done on this abortionist’s mass murder trial.

Did you guess zero? You’d be right.

So I asked her about it. Here’s her response:

Hi Molly – I cover policy for the Washington Post, not local crime, hence why I wrote about all the policy issues you mention.

Yes. She really, really, really said that. As Robert VerBruggen dryly responded:

Makes sense. Similarly, national gun-policy people do not cover local crime in places like Aurora or Newtown. …”

      TOUCHE! The writer goes on:

“… But gosh darn it, can you think of any policy implications to this, uh, “local crime” story? And that’s all it is. Just like a bunch of other local stories the Washington Post also refuses to cover — local crimes such as the killing of Trayvon Martin and the killing of Matthew Shepard and the killing of students at an elementary school in Connecticut. Did the Washington Post even think of covering those local crime stories? No! Oh wait, they did? Like, all the time? Hmm. That’s weird. But did they cover them in terms of policy implications? Asking politicians for their views and such? Oh they did that, too? Hmm. So weird. Oh, and Sarah Kliff herself wrote one of those stories? Well, gosh, I’m so confused. …”

      Good for Kirsten Powers: http://m.usatoday.com/article/news/2072577

      Philadelphia abortion clinic horror: Column

Infant beheadings. Severed baby feet in jars. A child screaming after it was delivered alive during an abortion procedure. Haven’t heard about these sickening accusations?

It’s not your fault. Since the murder trial of Pennsylvania abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell began March 18, there has been precious little coverage of the case that should be on every news show and front page. The revolting revelations of Gosnell’s former staff, who have been testifying to what they witnessed and did during late-term abortions, should shock anyone with a heart. …

Butchering babies that were already born and were older than the state’s 24-week limit for abortions is the story. There is a reason the late Democratic senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan called this procedure infanticide.

Planned Parenthood recently claimed that the possibility of infants surviving late-term abortions was “highly unusual.” The Gosnell case suggests otherwise.

Regardless of such quibbles, about whether Gosnell was killing the infants one second after they left the womb instead of partially inside or completely inside the womb — as in a routine late-term abortion — is merely a matter of geography. That one is murder and the other is a legal procedure is morally irreconcilable.

A Lexis-Nexis search shows none of the news shows on the three major national television networks has mentioned the Gosnell trial in the last three months. The exception is when Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan hijacked a segment on Meet the Press meant to foment outrage over an anti-abortion rights law in some backward red state. …

Let me state the obvious. This should be front page news. When Rush Limbaugh attacked Sandra Fluke, there was non-stop media hysteria. The venerable NBC Nightly News’ Brian Williams intoned, “A firestorm of outrage from women after a crude tirade from Rush Limbaugh,” as he teased a segment on the brouhaha. Yet, accusations of babies having their heads severed — a major human rights story if there ever was one — doesn’t make the cut.

You don’t have to oppose abortion rights to find late-term abortion abhorrent or to find the Gosnell trial eminently newsworthy. This is not about being “pro-choice” or “pro-life.” It’s about basic human rights.

The deafening silence of too much of the media, once a force for justice in America, is a disgrace.”

And why? I still submit that it’s to protect BARRY. They KNOW there will be outrage if the public at large learn of this horror. They know THEN that someone will bring up that Barry was FOR this exact process–those babies were supposed to die, so he wanted physicians to have the power to make it so. That was their mother’s “choice”. His own words from IL Senate testimony would come back to haunt the DemoncRAT party. Similarly, they want to protect the darling of the leftists–Planned Parenthood. To bring them back into the spotlight, especially with the recent testimony from Florida (see in the post above)–will reignite calls to DEFUND THEM.

Then there’s the issue of race and we know how the media protect blacks from racists who would make something of this, if only they knew about it. (But where’s their concern for the likes of Gosnell preying upon minority communities and killing minority babies?)

This is the same reason why they protect Muslims from Islamophobia by deliberately failing to cover stories that might cause stereotyping of ALL Muslims.

Then there’s the fact that something this HUGE (if it bleeds it should lead) will DISTRACT from Barry’s commie agenda of gun confiscation and amnesty for illegal aliens. I’m glad this ran in USA Today. It’s widely read.

      • If you read the comments on Kirsten’s article, you’ll see an illustration of exactly WHY they suppress this story. Somebody opined that Barry is for this. Immediately, an obot says, “who says” and called for “evidence”. In 53 additional replies, the obot was piled onto! There are likely MANY people who have NO CLUE that Barry voted multiple times AGAINST the Born Alive Act in IL that was designed to PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE LIVES OF THESE BABIES. He voted against it because he did not want to interfere in the woman’s “choice” even when the baby was already living. He voted to have these babies denied critical medical care to preserve their lives. He voted to have them put in basins in a closet until they DIED. That’s why they suppress this story, because it’s another opportunity to share the FACTS with the rest of America–the FACTS that the media have managed so far to HIDE since probably 2004, if not longer.

“We have entered the “Twilight Zone.” The spirit of Anthony Freemont rules our collective psyche, dictating our behaviors. And who is the Tyrant possessed of the spirit of little Anthony? Progressive ideologues. And while they don’t have the same super powers that Anthony was endowed with, they do indeed wield a power just as brutal and effective as Anthony’s: political correctness.

Let’s face it, the rise of political correctness is nothing more than the end of free speech in the United States and in westernized countries around the world. While appearing benign and guileless like little Anthony, the reality is that roiling vitriol exists just under the surface of these ideologues, waiting to lash out at the first sign of “bad thoughts.””

Authorities in Flagstaff, a city in Northern Arizona, x-rayed the box and determined it contained an explosive device. A bomb squad was deployed and neutralized it.

Involved in the recall effort is one Randy Parraz, a long-time, left-wing Arizona agitator, a failed candidate for office himself, a Huffington Post contributor, a man that has several arrests under his belt and one who was involved in instigating the Seattle World Trade Organization riots back in 1999 when he was a field operative for the AFL-CIO. Today Parraz is the head of Citizens for a Better Arizona. Ludders and Thomas also say he is known as an Obama associate and has visited the President in the White House
Take for instance the left’s claims that Arpaio’s offices have failed to investigate sex crimes in El Mirage, a town in the Sheriff’s county.

Some years ago the town lost funding for its own police department and Arpaio took over policing the area. When Arpaio’s
office got there they found that some 400 cases of sexual assaults had gone un-investigated. A few years after Arpaio took over,
the Maricopa Board of Supervisors announced that only 7 cases had still been un-investigated. Regardless of this fact, the left has continued to claim that 400 sex crimes have gone un-investigated in El Mirage and they blame Arpaio.

~…Now, at the time there was a political reporter from Channel Three named Frank Camacho who was in that meeting. He heard very clearly that there were only seven of these cases that were still open. That night on Channel Three Frank Camacho said there were over 400 cases still open. It wasn’t long before Frank Camacho, whether at the insistence of the station of on his own, became the communications director of the Arizona Democrat Party.”

  29. US Civil Rights Commission Members: Amnesty Will ‘Disproportionately Harm’ Black Community
    11 Apr 2013

Three members of the United States Commission on Civil Rights wrote on Thursday to Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-OH) to express their belief that amnesty or legalization of some 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. will hurt the black community.

“In light of recent debates on comprehensive immigration reform, we are writing to address a rarely-discussed effect of granting legal
status or effective amnesty to illegal immigrants,
” the three Civil Rights Commission members wrote. “Such grant of legal status will likely disproportionately harm lower-skilled African-Americans by making it more difficult for them to obtain employment and depressing their wages when they do obtain employment.” The increased employment difficulties will likely have negative consequences that extend far beyond economics,” the authors warn.
The Commission members added at the end of their letter that whatever plans being considered–whether originating from the president, the bipartisan Senate “Gang of Eight”, or a House plan that is reportedly being drafted–lawmakers should actually consider the disparate impact such reforms will have on black communities.

“Before the federal government decides to grant legal status to illegal immigrants, due deliberation should be given to what effect such grant will have on the employment and earnings prospects of low-skill Americans generally and black Americans specifically,” they wrote. “We respectfully submit that granting such legal status is not without substantial costs to American workers.”

The letter can be read in its entirety at the URL

    • Duh and duh. Thanks to them for at least pointing out the obvious. This is something that not only Republicans but also DemoncRATS should take to heart. I listen to local talk radio. They ought to, also, because if they did they would realize that blacks are NOT for amnesty for illegal aliens. In addition, LEGAL hispanics are not for amnesty, either. Why the labor unions ARE for it, is beyond me. The very people who belong to these unions, especially SEIU (the “service” unions), ought to be leading the charge AGAINST amnesty for illegals, not to mention “guest worker programs” that will steal jobs and KEEP SALARIES LOW, to boot. It’s not hard to read between the lines and figure out what the repercussions “beyond economics” are–the leftists will lose voters. GASP! They may actually go over to the Republican dark side, as conservatives are the ones who believe in the RULE OF LAW and oppose amnesty.

White House denies Jay-Z rap claim about Cuba visit
    April 11, 2013 Snip

Jay-Z released the track Thursday shortly after returning from Cuba, a trip that drew criticism from Cuban-American lawmakers in
Congress who questioned how the couple got permission to travel to the communist-run island.

The rapper boasted at length about the visit, suggesting Obama was involved.

“I done turned Havana into Atlanta,” he rapped. “Boy from the hood, but got White House clearance.

He continued: “Politicians never did s— for me except lie to me, distort history, wanna give me jail time and a fine. Fine, let me commit a real crime. … Obama said, ‘Chill you gonna get me impeached.’ You don’t need this s— anyway, chill with me on the beach.’

The track resulted in a bizarre scene at Thursday’s White House briefing, as a reporter read aloud the lyrics to Carney. Jay-Z and Beyonce are both Obama supporters.

    • They still brush right over the lyrics that, imho, are the most inflammatory. The ones that sound like a terroristic threat to the Congresspersons who questioned his trip:

” … You know whenever I’m threatened, I start shooting, bark
Catch a body, head to Houston …”

What exactly DOES HE MEAN by that? Who is he shooting and whose body is it?

The La Penca Project was part of the CHRISTIC INSTITUTE

http://www.skeptictank.org/files/socialis/christic.htm (Their actual site, I believe)

Radical law firm that brought fraudulent drug-conspiracy charges against the CIA during the 1980s

Now defunct, the Christic Institute was a nonprofit law firm of radical attorneys and political activists founded in 1980 by antiwar crusader Daniel Sheehan, his wife Sara Nelson, and Jesuit priest William J. Davis. The organization embraced liberation theology, a movement promoting Marxist principles as the most effective means of fulfilling the Christian directive to aid impoverished people around the world. Viewing America as a nation rife with racism and injustice, the Institute sought to wage a campaign of “progressive political education” that would lead to “social reform in the United States.” It pursued cases that were “carefully selected for their potential to advance human rights, social justice and personal freedom — at home and abroad.” In the Institute’s calculus, the chief obstacles to these objectives were what it deemed America’s militaristic nature, its ambitions for worldwide hegemony, and its capitalist economic structure that allegedly did great harm to the poor. The Institute’s goals were: “to represent the victims of injustice before the courts and create a factual basis for political education”; “to help citizens understand that single cases of injustice are often symptomatic of deeper threats to the freedom of every United States citizen”; and “to help grassroots activists and religious communities organize for effective political change.”
The Institute’s most infamous case was brought forth in 1985, when it accused the CIA of conspiring to use drug money from the Nicaraguan Contras to fund the U.S.-backed Contras’ war against Marxist Sandinistas (whose cause was supported by the Christic Institute), and to finance the assassination of Communists around the globe. The accusations helped fuel the flames of the Iran/Contra scandal at the time. Said Jesse Jackson, “The Christic Institute has done this country a great service by investigating and exposing violations of law carried out by the Contra network.” The National Organization for Women’s then-President Eleanor Smeal said, “The Christic Institute’s La Penca Project calls on the American people to choose between the failed policies of covert war based on lies and violence, and a policy of peace and honesty.” Humanitarian Law Project founder Aris Anagnos contributed some $600,000 to the Institute’s legal efforts in this matter. But the case was thrown out of court on grounds that it was, according to the judge, “frivolous,” and that the evidence had been fabricated. (Most of the witnesses named in the case were not real people.) The court mandated that the Institute pay some $1.5 million to cover the court costs of the CIA officials it had falsely accused, thereby forcing the Institute to declare bankruptcy.

Accuracy In Media hopes that The N.Y. Times and other major media outlets will henceforth take seriously their responsibility to provide complete, accurate and objective news. A long history of the opposite does not inspire confidence.
Marine Lt. Col. Oliver North’s congressional testimony began to sway American public opinion toward supporting the Contras, who were fighting against the Soviet/Cuban-backed Ortega dictatorship in Nicaragua. For its part, The N.Y. Times latched onto a $23.8 million lawsuit filed by the radical left Christic Institute, alleging that the Contras participated in campaign of assassinations, gun-running and drug-smuggling. When a House panel investigated these charges and found no substantiation, media organs such as The N.Y. Times were no longer interested in the story.

With the research I’ve collected I’m trying to show the radical left’s ties to their Marxist agenda, partisan relationship to dictatorship ruling communist country’s that has been their agenda for the US for years. The above has tie’s to just one example, if not many Cuba connections. I hope you do not mind me posting it here, while were on the subject of Cuba.

btw, as a side – Bruce Springsteen is a large supporter of The Christic Institute, helping raise funds by having concerts too help support their cause for Marxist change. Springsteen is also a major supporter for Obama’s change. “Change for America” is Marxist Change, when are people going to “get it” When Marxism has turned into full blown Communism and it’s too late? Has our great Country gone that brain dead, or is the truth this has all come about by fraud penetrated on the American people?

  31. Sequester cuts on cancer clinics facing reversal? Right now, Medicaid patients aren’t getting the chemo they need.

Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R – NC) introduces a bill that would reverse cuts that have forced cancer clinics to turn away Medicare patients. Sorry, seniors – No more chemo-therapy for Medicaid patients unless this is reversed from the Obamacare law. Another UNINTENDED? consequence of the illustrious unread law called Obamacare. No need to consult those death panels…we know the end result of cancer. Seniors go home, take two aspirin, call Obama in the morning, then die. Did you sign up to vote too? Did you get your advance care planning consultation mandated by Obamacare prior to being sent home without chemo? Thank the Democrats who didn’t read the bill they voted on that insures your demise. Another abomination courtesy of the DemoncRats! A way to keep costs down according to the Marxist ideology …population control at the end of your life. Add that to population control at the beginning of life, abortion. They’ve got you coming and going. Love the idea of eugenics? Then stay a commie Marxist charading as a nicely named progressive democrat.

Patriots, Immediately call or write your reps to back Rep. Ellmers bill!

    • Take Two Aspirin and Vote Democratic?
      March 27, 2013

Paul Bedard writes of the latest reason for apprehension about the coming of Obamacare:

The 61-page online Obamacare draft application for health care includes asking if the applicant wants to register to vote, raising the specter that pro-Obama groups being tapped to help Americans sign up for the program will also steer them to register with the Democratic Party.

You do have to wonder, though, how many people will be inclined, after wrestling with a 61 page form, to reward the people who designed not just that form but the program behind it. Especially after they have learned that what is called the Affordable Care Act actually makes medical insurance more expensive and chases a number of doctors out of the medical profession.

Gratitude is not what many will be feeling.

      • I see the group originally called ACORN applying for a grant to help people make out the 61 page form to get Obamacare. Perhaps there will be kiosks at malls too where the government will give a kick-back to the business owner for all the forms that are completed. The Obama administration can add these numbers to their created jobs summaries and small businesses assisted as well.

  32. Rosemary Woodhouse

Posting this on an open thread instead of barging in on a conversation!

BTW, Marco Rubio has ALWAYS been for immigration “reform” He just never clarified that when he used the word “reform” he MEANT to say AMNESTY (although mostly everyone knew exactly what he meant and voted for him because he was a) Republican (in the case of registered Rs or b) hispanic. He’s simply another lying, self-serving, duplicitous politician!

    • Agreed Rosemary. Many of my friends kep spouting about him around the time of the convention. I liked him too. But my opinion has “evolved”!

      • I heard today on national TV that Rand Paul “leads” Rubio by a hair in popularity as a candidate for 2016. I think that’s quite astounding. We shall see what happens. At least Rand Paul is a NBC. 🙂

    • You know what? My local paper FINALLY “reported” the story–one paragraph on the last page on Saturday, the least read day of the week. You know what they called the babies? “ALLEGEDLY born alive.” No details about how he killed them, nothing about the horrors of the conditions at that place. They said that 8 employees testified that they didn’t like the place but needed the jobs. They “saw few options,” in the words of the reporter. Three have pleaded guilty to THIRD DEGREE murder. I guess a baby’s death is worth little to some people, especially when they were destined to be dead, anyway, lest they be a “punishment” for their mothers:

“First degree: killing with the intent to kill. Usually requires premeditation. Also includes felony murder – an unplanned murder that occurs during the commission of a felony (example is defendant burglarizes a house and during the burglary kills the homeowner – no premeditation but committed during a felony).

Second degree: killing with the intent to do harm but not the intent to kill. Example – shooting someone in the leg with the intent to wound but not kill, and the victim bleeds to death.

Third degree: killing that resulted from indifference or negligence. Usually there must be a legal duty (parent – child), but can also include crimes like driving drunk and causing a fatal accident. …” http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070529183940AALPRIN

You be the judge: Was “snipping” their spinal cords negligence and indifference or was it killing with the INTENT to kill?

  33. Remember that man in “Beer Gate” ? Gosnell reminds me of him. Same skin type with moles.

    • Henry Louis Gates? He does. Not as many moles, though. As leftist as Gates is, and as misguided, imho, he in no way is LIKE Gosnell.

  34. Wikipedia considers deleting Kermit Gosnell entry
‘His case has not received national attention. It is a local multiple-murder story
    April 12, 2013 Snips

Wikipedia, the online dictionary and research web site utilized by millions of people every day, is considering deleting the entry associated with Kermit Gosnell, the infamous abortion practitioner on trial for murder.
One of the reasons “this article is being considered for deletion?”

According to one Wikipedia editor, “His case has not received national attention. It is a local multiple-murder story in Pennsylvania, nothing more.”

“I think this page should be deleted for several reasons. First, it is about a living, alleged perpetrator. Per WP:BIO, “Editors must give serious consideration to not creating an article on an alleged perpetrator when no conviction is yet secured.” Second, this person does not meet other notability criteria. His case has not received national attention. It is a local multiple-murder story in Pennsylvania, nothing more,” the editor writes.

  35. Kermit Gosnell Trial: Philadelphia Abortion Clinic ‘Beheaded Live Babies’

    April 7, 2013
    Drishya Nair

A Pittsburgh medic has revealed horrifying details of the operating conditions of a Philadelphia abortion clinic, where children born alive were “beheaded”.

Stephen Massof, 50, is standing witness in the trial of his former employer, Kermit Gosnell. And on 4 April, he told a court he routinely saw the murder of infants at the hospital. He also said the hospital once aborted a fetus at 26 weeks – this is two weeks beyond the permitted 24-week limit, which is in itself only to be used in extreme cases.

Gosnell, 72, is standing trial for the murder of seven at the Philadelphia Women’s Medical Society Clinic, as well as a woman who walked in to the hospital as a patient, the Mail reports.

If he is found guilty, Gosnell will be sentenced to death.

Massof, who await his own sentencing hearing after he pled guilty to the murder of two babies, claimed the clinic also cut out the spinal cord of nearly 100 living infants. And, for what it was worth, he said the clinic’s instruments were rusty and unsafe.

“It would rain fetuses. Fetuses and blood all over the place. It is literally a beheading. It is separating the brain from the body,” he told NBC.

Masoff further alleged the ultrasound machine in the hospital was manipulated to make the fetuses look smaller and younger. The unlicensed medical graduate admitted his medical degree came from Grenada in the West Indies and he hadn’t completed a medical residency when he joined Gosnell in 2003.

    Guilty but Innocent?

However, Massof also declaimed his innocence, on the grounds he believed his employer’s intention was only to help women who were often extremely poor. The trial is in its third week and is expected to last a month longer. Eight employees have already pleaded guilty to different charges and a ninth is on trial with Gosnell.

Massof worked in the clinic for five years before quitting because of differences with other staffers. He described his time at the clinic like being a “fireman in hell” and said he “couldn’t put out all the fires”. He was convicted of murder in 2011, after which Gosnell’s clinic was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

    Murder of an Adult Woman

Gosnell has also been charged with the murder of Karnamaya Mongar, 41, who travelled from Virginia for an abortion. She died during the abortion, due to an overdose of anesthesia.

Prosecutors say Gosnell earned more than a million dollars (£1.5m) every year and he charged $3,000 (£1950) for an abortion.

Investigators say the clinic smelled of animal urine and faeces, apart from having blood-stained furniture and bed sheets. It also reused disposable medical supplies. And amongst other shocking revelations was the fact the hospital stored fetal remains by stuffing them into “cabinets, in the basement, in a freezer, in jars and bags and plastic jugs”.

Gosnell’s lawyer denied all allegations, on behalf of his client, and also argued the babies weren’t born alive. The trial will continue on Monday.

“The politics in question were not anti-abortion, but pro.”

“Better to leave clinics to do as they pleased, even though, as Gosnell proved, that meant both women and babies would pay.”

    MISC. NO. 0009901-2008

    See no evil

Pennsylvania is not a third-world country. There were several oversight agencies that stumbled upon and should have shut down Kermit Gosnell long ago. But none of them did, not even after Karnamaya Mongar’s death. In the end, Gosnell was only caught by accident, when police raided his offices to seize evidence of his illegal prescription selling.

Once law enforcement agents went in, they couldn’t help noticing the disgusting conditions, the dazed patients, the discarded fetuses. That is why the complete regulatory collapse that occurred here is so inexcusable. It should have taken only one look. The first line of defense was the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The department’s job is to audit hospitals and outpatient medical facilities, like Gosnell’s, to make sure that they follow the rules and provide safe care. The department had contact with the Women’s Medical Society dating back to 1979, when it first issued approval to open an abortion clinic. It did not conduct another site review until 1989, ten years later.

Numerous violations were already apparent, but Gosnell got a pass when he promised to fix them. Site reviews in 1992 and 1993 also noted various violations, but again failed to ensure they were corrected.

But at least the department had been doing something up to that point, however ineffectual. After 1993, even that pro form a effort came to an end. Not because of administrative ennui, although there had been plenty. Instead, the Pennsylvania Department of Health abruptly decided, for political reasons, to stop inspecting abortion clinics at all.

The politics in question were not anti-abortion, but pro. With the change of administration from Governor Casey to Governor Ridge, officials concluded that inspections would be “putting a barrier up to women” seeking abortions. Better to leave clinics to do as they pleased, even though, as Gosnell proved, that meant both women and babies would pay.

The only exception to this live-and-let-die policy was supposed to be for complaints dumped directly on the department’s doorstep. Those, at least, would be investigated. Except that there were complaints about Gosnell, repeatedly. Several different attorneys, representing women injured by Gosnell, contacted the department.

    • To shut down ANY abortion clinic, no matter how horrific, is raising BARRIERS TO A WOMAN’S RIGHT TO “CHOOSE”? Now we really have gone through the looking glass.

  36. http://hotair.com/archives/2013/04/13/quotes-of-the-day-1347/

Something truly remarkable happened yesterday. After days and weeks of pushing by New Media and social media, the mainstream media has not only admitted that they should have covered the ongoing capital murder trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, they have promised to immediately remedy that mistake…

This is not the usual-usual from our media. Normally, like a game, the media will only admit to this kind of oversight long after it is too late to do anything about it. Worse still, the admission of the mistake is generally just a convenient excuse for the media to talk about its favorite subject — themselves.

Much of the speculation has been about why so many news outlets ignored the story. But perhaps the real story here is the way the trial became a national story without the help of the MSM—and arguably even despite its best efforts to ignore the trial. In the last century, there were a few central news gatekeepers who controlled what stories Americans heard. The internet and social media have changed all that; the people have swept aside the gatekeepers and ripped the gates from their hinges.

The MSM is no longer in control; anyone and everyone now has the tools to call the media out and if the story is hot and compelling enough (and the trial of an accused multiple baby killer passes that test with ease), it will force itself into the national conversation.

    • Yes, I noticed it this morning, buried on the back page of my newspaper, in one paragraph, in which they parroted the defense’s argument that these babies were only “allegedly” born alive, even though there’s testimony from those present that they screamed, moved, breathed, and/or kicked when their necks were stabbed. And the woman who died? That was reported to be from “complications” of the procedure; and the workers really had no choice but to work there, so destitute were they. None of the HORROR of the scene or the testimony made it into the story I read.

They “reported” it only to control the narrative and tamp down the TRUTH about how they shamefully and for political reasons CENSOR the news. There was too much evidence of their hypocrisy, given how they did wall to wall coverage of stories like Trayvon Martin (a LOCAL case). Similarly, they refuse to cover the massive outbreak of unprovoked hate crimes across the nation, perpetrated by gangs of blacks against persons of any other color but black (Knock Out “game” or “wilding” or “flash mobs”).

Watch for the SPIN next week when the trial resumes. It will be all about the failure of the PA authorities to ensure that the clinic was clean and sanitary and nothing about WHY they looked the other way. Nothing about the demographics–meaning how he preyed upon poor and minority women, for the most part.

There will be calls for more money (hey, why not?!) for oversight and more regulation. We need a CZAR and a new federal agency. How about Department of Abortion Mill Neatness (DAMN)?

It’s probably the Republicans’ fault that there wasn’t enough money in PA to ensure safety. Planned Parenthood will need more money! Abortion mills must be clean and safe. It’s a woman’s constitutional right to choose a safe and clean abortion.

They’ll need to look into more health care services for these women, too, so that they don’t find themselves at the abortion mills so late in their pregnancies. Then the babies won’t be born alive or, if they are, they won’t be viable, so: problem solved.

We need to fund research into why there isn’t enough “reproductive health care” available to these women, FOR FREE, OF COURSE, which must be how they ended up pregnant. Sandra Fluke was right. Find grant money! Raise taxes. NOW is the time.

Oh, if only all birth control were free to every woman, this wouldn’t happen. Again, it’s the fault of the Republicans and probably the Christian right, too. And Catholics! It’s their fault, too.

You think they’re going to point out to black people how abortion is like GENOCIDE to their communities?

We need to see some stories about the connection between Planned Parenthood, the DemoncRAT party, and people in the eugenics movement, like Margaret Sanger, who HILLARY CLINTON SO ADMIRES.

If they do cover the racial angle, it will be about how white women were given better treatment, but they’ll fail to mention that Gosnell and most of his employees are black AND that the only reason he gave white women better treatment is because he was more afraid that THEY would report poor sanitary conditions than would the poorer minority women. It wasn’t a question of race (how could it be when Gosnell is black?); it was a question of EDUCATION and money.

      • http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/345483/dehumanizing-word-games-gosnell-andrew-c-mccarthy Excellent article.

I like to think that we made a difference in this debate. If only we could similarly shame the lamestream into covering the horrific story of the ineligible “transformer” in the WH.

      • They “reported” it only to control the narrative and tamp down the TRUTH about how they shamefully and for political reasons CENSOR the news.

Those who can’t handle the truth,
try to silence those who speak it.

      • How about a link between the late-term abortion Dr.Tiller, the Dems, Bill Clinton, etc. Just saw this link from a commenter over at Ann Althouse’s blog; a very interesting read!

        • Good catch cynic, George Tiller another Late Term Abortionist. Federal Marshal protection for his clinic by Clinton in exchange for $25,000 contribution to the Democratic National Committee? Surprised?, I’m not. These people are pond scum, bottom feeders, third world thinking commie slime. It’s infuriating. Liberals think it’s okay too murder innocent babies that are alive at birth, that’s okay…just a local story that they want kept local. But the children gunned down in Newton, it is a national story, as it should be, but, but, but, suddenly! a small child’s life is important too them. It’s so suddenly despicable and important too them that laws must suddenly be made that go against our constitutional rights? In their mind where lie’s the difference of a newborn child or a child of 8 or 9 being murdered compared too a living fetus or a living breathing new born being murdered? murder is murder! the difference is the children of Newton were only used for one reason by them, too disarm the public, too fulfill a part of their agenda. A disarmed nation has no way too fight influences or transformation.

1,2,3,4 breath! sorry cynic, I had too blow off some steam! okay I’ve calmed down… some. I did find this this on George Tiller –

Canada Sending Women to Kansas for Late Term Abortions by Controversial Abortionist “Tiller the Kill

          by LifeSiteNews.com

          Fri Sep 10, 2004 11:15 EST

MONTREAL, September 10, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Pregnant mothers from Quebec whose unborn children are beyond 24 weeks gestation, are being sent to Wichita, Kansas for late-term abortions, at the private clinic of controversial abortionist George Tiller. Each procedure costs Canadian taxpayers at least $5000.00 U.S. and the procedure entails mortal danger not only for the unborn child but also for the mother. While late-term abortions are not illegal in Quebec, there are few abortionists willing to commit the gruesome procedure, especially since the unborn child is fully formed at the late stage of pregnancy and can in most cases survive outside the womb from 21 weeks gestation. “Most unborn children at that advanced stage of pregnancy can survive outside the womb. Why are we spending $5000.00 US for an elective abortion when health dollars are so tight?” asked Gillian Long of Campaign Life Coalition . Last year 30 Quebec late-term abortions were committed in Kansas and New York. So far this year from April to August, nine women have been sent to Kansas for abortions. Quebec Health Minister Philippe Couillard admitted this morning that the majority of the 30 abortions were done because of “congential malformations”. Jim Hughes, National President of Campaign Life Coalition stated, “Instead of protecting the basic human right to life of the unborn, abortions are being done as a modern and politically correct form of eugenics.” LifeSiteNews.com spoke with Troy Newman of the U.S. pro-life group Operation Rescue West.

Kansas Abortion Clinic Used by Canadian Governments Sends Botched Abortion Victim to Hospital

          • Then there are the under-reported campaign contributions made to then Gov. Kathleen Sebelius by George Tiller. Is it any surprise why Obama gave her a prime position in his administration? Wouldn’t be a bit surprised if Valerie Jarrett’s job was to seek out the most radical people. I remember seeing a clip of her saying that they had been watching Van Jones.

          • I’ll bet Gosnell’s clinic was serving a similar purpose and that’s why the “look the other way.” They got him in an investigation of his side business, which was handing out Oxycontin.

          • And here is a portion of an email from Michelle Obama regarding a fundraiser/luncheon for Barack in February, 2004:
(snip)We have all been concerned lately with the rise of conservatism in this country, especially as it relates to women. Youve read the alarming news about the Justice Department’s request for hospitals to turn over the private medical records of dozens of patients. This cynical ploy is designed to intimidate a group of physicians and force them to drop their lawsuit seeking to have the so-called partial birth abortion ban ruled unconstitutional.

The fact remains, with no provision to protect the health of the mother, this ban on a legitimate medical procedure is clearly unconstitutional and must be overturned. Attorney General Ashcroft and President Bush believe so zealously in their cause that the privacy rights of patients are under assault. They believe we have no federal right to privacy when it concerns our medical histories.

          • The Gosnell trial is a teachable moment. Michelle Obama’s email supports partial-birth abortions, and Barack supports infanticide. We need to wake up Americans on exactly how these procedures are performed.

Here is the link to the email:

  37. GREAT headlines…. pushing 4 the TRUTH.. If we all make it out alive..
We will still be HERE doing fun things together…I pray for that day…
Under the same MOON’….. Yes we have put a wrench in the MEDIA
TRASH SLIMERS .. they know what they have done ..to allow this MESS!
