Here’s Evidence of Voter Fraud (Open Thread)

Democrats and leftists are wont to say, emphatically, that there’s no evidence of voter fraud, as they continue to argue against photo identification laws or efforts to purge voter registration lists of dead people and dogs.  They repeat this lie over and over again, sometimes qualifying it while moving the goalposts, as evidence appears:

There’s no evidence of widespread voter fraud.  

or

There’s no evidence of an organized effort to commit voter fraud.

As if voter fraud is of no concern unless it’s proved to be widespread or an organized conspiracy.  (They conveniently forget all about that little entity formerly known as ACORN.)

What they consider “evidence” are CONVICTIONS for voter fraud, but we have seen how easy it is for liberals to ensure that convictions don’t happen.  That is, if they even look for and investigate voter fraud in the first place.  They don’t, especially in the areas most likely to witness voter fraud–inner cities–which are mostly controlled by Democrat machine politics.  Remember Chicago and JFK?

The Democrats, a la Hillary Clinton, love to say that there’s no “evidence” of anything that redounds to their detriment.  Seldom do they deny outright that something unsavory or untoward has taken place. Instead, using typical lawyer-ese, they simply state that there’s no “evidence” of the occurrence.

In their world, nothing has happened unless there’s “evidence” of it.  Without evidence, it did not happen, even if it did happen. 

So Hillary Clinton, instead of denying outright that Bill Clinton had an affair with Monica Lewinsky, instead stated that there’s “no evidence” of the affair.  Until there was (that blue dress).

Many Obama supporters believe (Blind Faithers) that Obama was born in the USA because he says so.  When challenged on their belief, they rely upon the canard that “birthers” can’t prove with EVIDENCE that he was NOT born in the USA.

Of course, they discount as evidence anything that points towards a birth outside the USA, including a published biography that was unchanged for nearly two decades until Obama decided to run for the presidency. That biography, vetted by Obama, stated that he was

born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii.

His supporters point instead to “evidence” that is NOT evidence in the true sense of the word. They point to a digital image on the White House BLOG that is purported to be a scan of Obama’s original birth certificate, but which has been examined by multiple experts who declare it to be a computer-created jigsaw-puzzle of an image that has no counterpart in the real world.

There have been numerous opportunities for Obama to turn that image into real “evidence” by submitting it AS EVIDENCE in any of the court cases that have challenged his eligibility over the years. He has declined to do so.

Similarly, the Democrats fight attempts to ensure that people who present themselves at the polls are who they say they are and are eligible to vote.  They dismiss the need for photo IDs by pointing to a presumed lack of “evidence” that voter fraud occurs.

Well, here’s some evidence for them: [emphasis added]

She admitted voting twice in the presidential election last November, and now, Obama supporter Melowese Richardson has been indicted for allegedly voting at least six times. She also is charged with illegal voting in 2008 and 2011.

The 58-year-old veteran Cincinnati poll worker, indicted Monday, faces eight counts of voter fraud. Two others, one of whom is a nun, have been charged separately.

Richardson had admitted on camera to a local TV station, “Yes, I voted twice,” claiming she was concerned that her vote would not count. She also said there “was no intent on my part to commit any voter fraud.”

“I’ll fight it for Mr. Obama and Mr. Obama’s right to sit as president of the United States,” she proclaimed in the interview.

Officials charged that she voted in her own name by absentee ballot and also in person at the polls, but Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph Deters said she also is charged with voting in the name of five other people in various elections.

“This is not North Korea,” Deters said in a statement announcing the indictments. “Elections are a serious business and the foundation of our democracy. In the scheme of things, individual votes may not seem important, but this could not be further from the truth. Every vote is important and every voter and candidate needs to have faith in our system. The charges today should let people know that we take this seriously.” 

Richardson made national headlines when the Hamilton County Board of Elections announced that it was investigating whether she voted up to half a dozen times, including on behalf of her granddaughter, India Richardson.

India told Fox News that her grandmother did indeed vote in her name, telling us that “it wasn’t a big deal.”

That’s India’s attitude and it appears to be the attitude of Democrats, too.

No big deal.

Richardson’s case is most egregious because she was a poll worker.  She managed to get all of her illegal votes counted and she shows no remorse or, apparently, even recognition that she was wrong.

Her comment about Obama’s “right to sit as president” indicates a “by any means necessary” attitude.  She will “fight” for his “right” to be president even if it means voting multiple times, illegally.

Let’s hope that Eric Holder keeps his nose out of this case.  Next time you hear a Democrat argue against laws that are designed to ensure the integrity of the voting rolls, point to the case of Melowese Richardson.

Her case is EVIDENCE that voter fraud does happen.  Even if she’s convicted,  the Democrats will continue to point to the small number of convictions as proof that voter fraud doesn’t happen.

Melowese Richardson is the tip of the iceberg.  There is MUCH voter fraud that goes unaccounted for, because the Democrats don’t want to see it, investigate it, report it, prosecute it, or exact convictions and punishment for it.

A little here, a little there, and before you know it, someone is “selected” instead of “elected”.
