Democrat’s Insulted U.S. Military at National Convention!

The Planes, The Planes!  The Warships!

Those Are Not United States Planes or Warships!

The Democrats thought no one would notice.  Amid all of  the pomp and circumstance at the Democratic National Convention, do you know what they projected on their huge screens?  Shown in vivid display were  Russian warships and Turkish jets!  This newest revelation about the jets was reported by the Daily Caller today in their article, “NOT JUST THE SHIPS: Fighter jets in Dem convention’s military montage were Turkish, not America.”

The Daily Caller stated that “Martin Rosenkranz, a military aircraft expert and editor-in-chief of a military aviation journal in Austria, revealed the fighter jets’ origin.”

“The jets are most likely from the Turkish air force [because] the formation and the type (F-5) flown is very typical of the seven-ship formation flown by the Turkish Air Force Display Team known as the ‘Turkish Stars.  There is no other display team worldwide” that uses a similar seven-aircraft formation.”

Only 6 days ago, the Navy reported that the warships displayed at the Democrat’s convention were not those of the United States naval fleet, but instead were photos of Russian warships.  From the Navy Times, “Russian Ships Displayed at DNC tribute to Vets”!  Yes, you read that right.  The Democrats Honored U.S. Veterans With Russian Warships!”  This was the scenic backdrop for a speech given by a 4-star navy admiral;  United States Admiral John B. Nathman .

The DNC issued an apology and, of course, it wasn’t their fault that Russian warships were shown instead of American ships.  Whose fault was it?  A vendors!  Yes, some unidentified vendor chose that photo of Russian warships, they say.

This is how the DNC responded to the U.S. Navy for the disgusting anti-American scenery shown to millions worldwide and that provided the setting for an admiral and all of the veterans standing behind him on that stage.  Their apology reads,

“Due to vendor error, incorrect images appeared briefly on screen behind fifty-one veterans during the convention and the DNCC apologizes for this mistake…This error should not distract from the words of Admiral Nathman and others who spoke to President Obama’s strong record on issues that impact those who have served our nation.”

“We’re proud of the service and sacrifice of our veterans and military families, and while they were an important and active part our of convention, Mitt Romney failed to even mention them in his speech in Tampa.”

Does anyone believe that is truthful? A vendor error?  Is that a respectful apology?  Not in my eyes.   They are telling the U.S. Navy that the sight of  Russian warships shouldn’t distract?  What does Russia’s  President Putin think about his warships being presented as American?  In hindsight,  they wished they could say it was Bush’s fault.

How many “oops” by the Democrats are going to be excused by U.S. Citizens and the armed forces serving to protect them?  One oops is one to many!

The military showed their disdain for their commander-in-chief when he  spoke to our soldiers in one of his campaign stops.   It was on August 31, 2012 that Obama’s speech at Fort Bliss, TX was met not only by silence but light applause.    He tried to get them “all fired up and ready to go.”  He praised soldiers and they gave him an embarrassingly tepid response.  It was so bad that the Obot networks of CNN and MSNBC  stopped covering his speech before it was half-over.

Similarly, his [Obama’s] declaration that “around the world there’s a new attitude toward America, a new confidence in our leadership” yielded only silence, while his next sentence — “When people are asked ‘Which country do you admire most?’ one nation always comes out on top, the United States of America” — prompted relative enthusiasm.

No fake, staged applause this time for Obama.  He got what he deserves.  Our troops aren’t stupid, they recognize incompetence, insincerity, and dishonor.  They don’t recognize or have confidence in his leadership and they responded accordingly …with silence.  Obama hasn’t conned our troops.

Is it any wonder why the Democrats want to prevent voting by our soldiers and military overseas? They are fully aware that the military isn’t on Obama’s side.   On August 20, John Fund reported for the National Review  “Military Voting Rights Under Fire in Ohio.  Overseas and military voters face obstacles to voting and deserve accommodation.”

“Lawyers for the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee marched into federal court last week to argue that it is unconstitutional for Ohio to allow military voters to cast in-person early ballots on the Saturday through Monday before Election Day, given that early voting for all other voters stops on the Friday before Election Day.

Apparently, Team Obama has decided to take a break from howling about the alleged injustice of voter-ID laws to argue that military voters don’t deserve an occasional accommodation.”

Our armed forces vote heavily Republican, and they are committed to ensuring military strength.  Obama’s foreign policy of apologies, unclenching his fist, and backing terrorist groups  seeks to weaken the United States abroad while defunding our military, and decreasing our military might.   His failed policies occurred at a time when the world was on fire and now is blazingly out of control.  In March, Obama even assured Putin through outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev when he whispered  “that he will have “more flexibility” to deal with contentious issues like missile defense after the U.S. presidential election.”  Obama’s statement was caught on an open mike for all of us to know his intentions.  What other secret messages perhaps traitorous ones did Obama send to the incoming Russian President?

On September 7, the Washington Times reported that Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta was sent a letter from six Republican senators asking him to ensure that our troops stationed overseas will be able to register and vote.  They said,” Pentagon officials are ignoring a 2009 law that ordered the military to set up a special voting-assistance office at every U.S. base around the world.”  If anyone deserves to vote, they are the men and women in our armed forces.  They have more than earned that right to vote.  Our soldiers have more right to vote than do the felons that the democrats are backing in getting their rights restored.

Adding further insult to injury this years Democratic National Convention may be remembered as the most gauche, anti-American, anti-God, anti-Christian,  anti- Israel, and anti-Jerusalem  convention in U.S. history.  To those labels we will now add anti-military.   The radical left ideology of the Democrats was on full display in Charlotte, North Carolina,  so it is hardly surprising to find that their anti-war stance included  surreptitiously insulting our armed forces.

We honor the men and women who serve in our military.  They are not to be insulted by the Ismistas who associate with the Democratic Party.   Instead, it is the Democrats who are an insult to faithful, law-abiding, patriotic Americans.

How will this latest anti-American blunder of pretending that Turkish jets are U.S. Jets be answered by the DNC?  By another discourteous and rude apology?  We know this was no vendor error.  This was no mistake.  These were totally planned as jabs and insults at our military.  They did not expect to be caught.  They have, twice.

The Democrats insulted our proud Navy and Air Force and  those insults affect all mighty branches of our armed forces.

This will not be forgotten.

We will make sure of it in November!

  1. Rosemary Woodhouse

And the in-yo-face-anti-Americanism continues to fly under the radar for the vast majority of Americans!

    Thanks, as always, Bridgette

  2. Whose fault was it? A vendors! “Due to vendor error” riiight. Wouldn’t this “vendor” fall under contracts for goods, services, equipment or facilities? From below 3.7.4 reads – All contracts between the Host Committee and any Contractor shall be in writing and no such contract shall be executed by the Host Committee unless that contract shall have first been expressly approved in writing by the DNCC.

    Expressly approved!

    • Excellent find Leza. Approval and the responsibility falls directly on the Democrats. Perhaps the Air Force and Navy should out the DNCC with another letter or two or three. This is unforgivable to me. I was stunned and outraged. Then to use the flimsy excuse of the vendor did it when there is no doubt all designs and settings had to be approved by them.

I think the information should be plastered everywhere for all military vets and active military to see.

      • Thank You Bridgette. Now that the fact’s are known I’d like too hear a response from Admiral Nathman. Surely he being an Admiral was aware of this before he even entered onto the stage. Every American should be outraged, pray even more for our military and nation.

      • It was more of their snarking subliminal messaging. Seeing as how there are so few troops and vets who support them, they probably didn’t expect anybody in the audience to notice. But the message was there, loud and clear.

      • Who was the vendor? An Islamic minority business enterprise? A Russian one? Or do we now have affirmative action for COMMUNIST business enterprises via “minority set asides?”

        Excellent post, Bridgette.

  3. Today’s Democratic Party is aligned with communists and Islamists. This “coincidence” at a convention where every detail is carefully planned is just one more “dot” to connect. And there have been an awful lot of Communist/Jihadist/Democrat dots to connect….

    • Excellent article then and now. A refresher for everyone. Many of the same questions elude us. The truth is in front of our faces. The lies are still lies. We know it and “they” know we know! The cover-up and the corrupt Congress and media complicity are treasonous. Will voters still have their heads in the sand this November and vote for a fictitious conman who has no bona fided documentation as to who he is and who he represents? We know Obama’s radical friends and associates and those he surrounds himself with, and that tells us exactly who he is. Those anti-Americans have a utopian plan that is the antithesis of our U.S.A. What they envision in their myopic minds is what millions flee to America from. I am not deluded by those who say he is an American who is looking out for us. They can eat those peas and choke on them.

Proverbs 13:20 He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

  4. Obama again fails to salute Americans but remembers to salute Russian flag… Who is this guy?

Salute, pledge, something! Anything! Pretend to be a proud American, creep.

  5. Remember: “Corpse-Man”!

    Dayum what a Maroon!

  6. I do love it when we beat the major newsmakers/blogs with stories.

DNC Fail: Russian Warships, Turkish Jets, and a War Protester
    September 20, 2012 Snip

During the Democrat National Convention, Democrats unknowingly used photos of Russian warships instead of American warships on their backdrop. Although they apologized for that, they overlooked one minor problem: the jet fighters on their backdrop weren’t American either. Rather, they were Turkish jets.

Coincidentally, the Russian ships and Turkish jets both appeared as Senator John Kerry was introducing President Obama. This is somewhat fitting when you think of Kerry’s opposition to our military throughout the years.

    • And we’re supposed to believe it was an accident and not planned? I tried yesterday to figure out who the vendor was who made this “mistake.” No luck yet. Anybody have an idea how to find out? Well, the DNC doesn’t release that kind of internal information. I’m sure it’s connected to yet another example of their stupidity and their political correctness and being (possibly) the victims of the same kind of naivete evident by hiring Libyans without bullets in their guns to protect our ambassador, who was known to be on an Al Qaeda HIT LIST! Could it be that it was part of their outreach to the Muslim community (which is rather large in NC) via “minority contracting?” Check out this story, which claims that Latinos in particular and possibly other groups, were upset that not enough of the set asides for “minority” businesses were given to them for the Charlotte DNC convention. Now, who else is there, other than women, Asians, and MUSLIMS?

If the “vendor” who pulled this stunt is Muslim, then it’s yet another example of them having egg on their faces and, of course, they WILL do all in their power to hide who that vendor was. So, was it a mistake? Was it a deliberate snark and sabotage pulled off by someone with a grudge against the U.S. military? Or was it, as one commenter on a blog I just read (but lost the link to), Obama’s way of sticking his middle finger in the eye of the veterans of this country, but under the guise of honoring them?

Hispanic lawmakers are peeved at the Democratic National Convention Committee for not hiring more Latino-owned businesses for next month’s convention.

Upset over the lack of contracts, Hispanic lawmakers exchanged heated words Wednesday with a top DNCC official in a closed-door meeting on Capitol Hill. Afterward, Rep. Joe Baca, D-Calif., suggested that DNCC Chief Executive Steve Kerrigan should be fired if things don’t improve. …

The DNCC says it’s made minority contracting a big priority for the Charlotte convention, but Hispanic lawmakers believe there should be more Latino-owned businesses getting a cut of the money. It’s unclear how many contracts the DNCC has awarded to minorities because the committee doesn’t publicly release that information.

As of last month, the DNCC said that nine of the 14 contracts for large events were awarded to minority or women-owned businesses. The DNCC has previously announced a diversity contracting policy and goal of spending at least one-third of the convention money spent with contracts for businesses owned by minorities, women, people with disabilities, veterans, and lesbian, gay and bisexuals.

Of course, there might be another angle here: The LGBT “community” doesn’t exactly love the military, either.
