Who is James Eagan Holmes, the alleged shooter in the Aurora, Colorado, massacre? Following are some interesting facts, gleaned from various news articles.
James Holmes received a grant from the National Institutes of Health. (h/t kittycat77):
Last year, he began a doctoral program in neuroscience at the University of Colorado Denver, but he was in the process of withdrawing from the program.
University spokeswoman Jacque Montgomery said Holmes was one of six doctoral students in neuroscience at the school to be funded by a training grant from the National Institutes of Health.
The grant is dedicated to supporting “outstanding neuroscientists and academicians who will make significant contributions to neurobiology,” said Montgomery.
That same story provides a rather strange vignette, which becomes stranger still when one considers allegations (perhaps a hoax) that one news organization originally named a man with a Muslim-sounding name as the suspect.
The first time shooting suspect Holmes walked into Original Aurora Liquor – about four blocks from his Aurora apartment – a year ago, a Palestinian immigrant who works behind the counter mistook him for an Iranian.
“Are you Iranian?” employee Joseph Nasser, 50, asked Holmes, who he said became visibly angry.
“What?! I’m no (expletive) Iranian,” Holmes replied, according to Nasser, who has worked at the store seven years.
Nasser said Holmes looked like an Iranian customer who frequented the store at the time.
One must wonder if this clerk perhaps remembers seeing Holmes in the company of the Iranian.
Another story tells us that when Holmes couldn’t find a job after college, he worked part-time at McDonald’s before moving to Colorado; the story repeats something that was suggested the day after the shooting by a private investigator–that Holmes may have belonged to an Occupy Wall Street group:
There were reports yesterday he was a member of violent Occupy Wall Street splinter group Occupy Black Bloc. The Batman film is said to portray OWS in a negative light but police believe Holmes was acting alone.
Now that meme has been called into question, too. How could police so quickly come to “believe” that Holmes acted alone, before they had access to his apartment, his papers, or his computer? Did he act alone? One witness says that he did not:
As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual to take a phone call. And it seemed like he probably pried it open, or probably did not let it latch all the way. As soon as the movie started, somebody came in, all black, gas mask, armor, and threw a gas can into the audience, and it went off, and then there were gunshots that took place.
There were numerous reports that Holmes came in via the emergency exit. If he were already in the theater beforehand, then why would he go out and come back in again? If it were to don his battle armor and get his weapons, then who called him on the telephone? There is at least one other “person of interest”:
Late Saturday, reports emerged that police were investigating a second “person of interest” in the case. Citing sources, KMGH-TV in Denver said cops had questioned a man Holmes was acquainted with at the Anshutz Hospital doctoral program from which he withdrew several months ago.
The man was located after police traced a threatening message demanding Holmes’ release to his address. Police said it was unclear, however, if this man sent the message or it was just routed through his address.
There appears to be evidence that Holmes was, indeed, a member of the Occupy “movement”. This story has what is alleged to be a photo of him being arrested:
Discoveries of Holmes’ Occupy activities also call into question the accuracy of media reports claiming that Holmes’ only past offence is a traffic ticket. Holmes not only had connections to the San Diego Occupy movement, he was the subject of at least one photograph (shown here) being arrested at a San Diego Occupy protest.
This is some very serious stuff.
We already know that Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and a number of other Democrat lawmakers have praised the Occupy “movement” and Obama-mentor and boss George Soros has heavily financed it.
Because that statement is true beyond doubt, what are the chances that we will learn the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth in this election year?
Was James Holmes associated with a radical arm of the Occupy movement?
UPDATE 07/23/12: The police officers in that photo are New York City cops. h/t dena; the location is an Occupy Wall Street protest on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. See this link with the photo in the slide show on the left (fourth photo). The question remains: Was Holmes connected with any Occupy group? The photo alleged to be of him is discredited, because this photo was taken in New York in October, 2011. If there’s evidence that Holmes was there, in NYC, then we’ll reconsider; but it appears to be yet another case of false reporting or a hoax. This link is where the story originated. There is a supposed facial recognition analysis, but it’s unconvincing, in my opinion.
Continuing with questions to be answered:
Where did Holmes get the money to fund this operation?
What was his motivation?
Where did he get the Vicodin he was said to have taken before the attack?
Where did he get his training in weaponry?
Who was the person who let him into the emergency exit (which explains how he got that long gun into the theater) and/or who called him on his cell phone that night?
Who helped him to plan this operation?
How did he learn to make those “sophisticated” explosive devices that he set up in his booby-trapped apartment?
Has the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) used as much time and energy or expended as many resources investigating potentially violent LEFT-WING groups as they have investigating Tea Partiers and imaginary Islamophobics?
Was James Eagan Holmes even on their radar? If not, why not?
Do DHS and associated government agencies like the FBI avoid investigating potentially violent left-wing groups like they avoided fully investigating Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, before he killed, because someone in Washington DC determined that his case was too “politically sensitive?”
Has anybody noticed the similarities between this attack and the attack that took place in Norway nearly exactly one year ago? The M.O. is very similar. The public still does not know the truth about Anders Breivik, who, like Holmes, is said to be out of touch with reality. Are they insane, or are they programmed sleeper agents? The Gateway Pundit has done an excellent job documenting how the media cover up the violence of the Occupy movement, just as they typically ignore or spin any story that is potentially damaging to Democrats or Obama.
We the People have a right to know the TRUTH about this massacre. Even more so do the victims and their families have a right to know the truth. Just as the family of Agent Brian Terry have a right to know the truth about his murder. We the People need answers.

Testing…Wordpress acting stupid…testing…
Well, I tried to post the comment (below) at Conservative Monster in response to the blog post “Obama’s radical friends that bombed the Pentagon and James Holmes are more similar than you think” http://theconservativemonster.com/?p=1846. WordPress, which is behaving well here, at the Monster site has repeatedly requested that I log in even though I’m logged in. I’d planned to share it here, anyway, as well, because it’s relevant to the discussion, so here it is.
They may be familiar, as well, or, at the very least, they share some commonalities. CNN reported this morning that Aurora, CO law enforcement (LE) said that the IEDs, trip-wiring and accelarents in Holmes’ apartment looked like “spaghetti,” that it crisscrossed across the floor like a “spider web.” Aurora LE, as reported by CNN, went on to say that it wasn’t a set up that LE usually finds in the US but, instead, was like those found in “Afghanistan.”
Holmes had rigged his stereo with a timer to start blaring techno music at midnight and the front door unlocked. Holmes’ plan, it’s been speculated, was that the police would respond to a noise complaint, bang on the door to no response, assume the apt’s occupant couldn’t hear them over their stereo and, so, try to enter the apartment to get the occupant’s attention. Opening the door would have tripped a wire (or wires), setting off the first explosion, which was a big ‘un; it would have set the entire third floor ablaze. This first explosion and blaze would have set off a chain reaction so that Aurora, CO first responders would have arrived to find the entire building ablaze. While Aurora police, fire and medical first responders were being occupied at the apt, Holmes would be busy murdering movie-goers.
Incidentally, one of his neighbors told LE that she’d gone upstairs to complain about the noise, that she’d even considered going into the apartment to tell Holmes to turn the music down, but decided against it. We should all be so grateful to her and all of Holmes’ neighbors who were at home that night for being patient and easy-going about the noise coming from his apartment. If any of them had been annoyed enough to call the police with a noise complaint, or if that woman’s aggravation had emboldened her enough to push open the door to Holmes’ apt, the number killed and wounded would have been so much greater.
Did Holmes, himself, wire the apt or did someone else do it for him? If so, who helped him? If he wired it himself, where did he get the blue print for such a “sophisticated” setup (“sophisticated” is an adjective used by CNN this morning to describe the setup)?
Like much of what we’ve been speculating about here. Remember that Breivik did a similar thing: He set off a bomb in the city that was timed to go off right about the time he got to that island, so the first responders would be occupied elsewhere. Holmes’s bomb didn’t go off, thank goodness. That neighbor is so fortunate that she didn’t open that door. Or call the police. They surely would have gone inside. The puzzle is why he told them about it when he was caught. How did he know that it hadn’t gone off?
Just want to ask since this is an open thread…. have any of you researched public allies? I looked into this about 4 yrs ago and don’t know if info was cleaned out. Mr. and Mrs. were both involved in this. Has to do with re ed camps. So much has happened I forgot about this. I was quite blown away when I read about it. You gals have a special way with research. I remember this had to do with re educating 18-35 yrs olds. Wonder what kind of educating? If this is old news so old and not worth mentioning..that is ok. But I never heard much about this and thought that strange back then.

Did he tell LE that he had rigged his apt with explosives? Or did he tell LE that there were explosives in his apt? If the latter, then he may have been trying to lead LE into setting off the explosives by having them enter his apt to search for explosives. If the former, he may have assumed that the building had been leveled by his explosives but LE hadn’t yet connected him and the apt. and he was anxious to take credit for his handiwork.
The report was that he told them the explosives were there. One story said he was surprised cops got there so fast, so maybe he thought the explosives went off. With all the confusing and contradictory stories going around, we probably won’t learn the truth until the trial (if then). I saw nothing about prostitutes in that UK story, but there are a lot of photos.
Neglected to mention in last posted comment that I’d forgotten that Breivik had also used explosives to divert first responders until reading your comment here. Good call.

I know. Things are topsy-turvy, and it’s just going to be worse before it gets better.
I heard some details about Holmes on the radio this afternoon. His grant from the Feds was $26,000 per year. He recently was cut from the program. He wasn’t paying his rent. He spent $15,000 on those mail order packages. He was on food stamps and unemployment. The assumption is, then, that We the People, the taxpayers, paid for a good portion of what he used to make his attack. We paid for his education, too, which is what he used to plan and orchestrate his attack. Somebody says we need federal grant control instead of gun or ammo control. Ammo is their target now, if you can read between the lines of all the lamestream stories. How could anyone know he was “stockpiling” if he can buy ammo so easily over the Web? Well, where in the Constitution does it say that anyone has any business knowing whether or not anyone is “stockpiling” anything. What part of “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED” don’t they understand? This guy appears to me to be unbalanced. Was he on psychoactive drugs? If so, then how did he buy guns? After the VA Tech shooting, didn’t we go through this? Wasn’t that shooter on psychoactive drugs? We know Holmes was on Vicodin. A controlled substance. Legally prescribed to him? By whom? Didn’t they prosecute Michael Jackson’s doctor? I’m not saying the doctor should be prosecuted, but the situation certainly should be investigated and the TRUTH should be known to everyone, especially the victims’ families. Was he let go from the PhD program because of his behavior? Was anyone notified? It seems that he began his plan upon losing his position. We just saw Joe Paterno’s statue torn down because he knew something and said nothing. We just saw Penn State punished because their employees knew much and said nothing. It’s CYA time in Colorado, obviously. Will we EVER know the truth?
For those who want to take guns away from people who had NOTHING to do with this incident, who want to INFRINGE on our Constitutional right to defend ourselves from an overweening government, I say this:
It was already illegal for him to take the guns into the theater. He did anyway. So who do gun laws control? Only people who OBEY LAWS. 10 people SHOT in Chicago over the weekend. I’d hazard a guess that every one was shot by an illegal gun. It certainly is illegal to shoot people. Do these perps obey laws? No, they do not.
Holmes managed to set off gas canisters in the theater. If the gas in those canisters had been lethal, he would not have needed the guns. Any high schooler (actually anyone who buys cleaning products and can read) knows how to make poison gas. I won’t give the recipe, but are we going to control the purchase of household cleaning products next?
How about we stop giving psychoactive drugs to people? How about we stop drugging kids from the age where they first start to “act up”? How about we remove hormones and antibiotics from all animal feed? How about we teach kids personal responsibility? How about we go back to the days of DISCIPLINE in schools? (Do I need to remind anybody about Karen Klein, bullied bus monitor?) Our entire society is broken.

The second amendment is not just about the right to defend self and propert from an individual but IS ALSO, and more important actually, about WTPOTUS collectively protecting from or reclaiming America from a tyrannical government bent on overthrowing the Constitution and setting up a new government. It’s a shame and an example of how this stuff already infringes on our rights that you feel that you must put in the disclaimer about not owning or stockpiling guns. Of course that’s why they come up with the soothing proposals to simply “register” guns. That way, they know where they are so they can confiscate them. Nearly every act of genocide in history BEGAN WITH THE DISARMING OF THE POPULACE. Hitler, et al. The Founders were so wise. The explanatory clause in the amendment tells all: “being necessary to the security of a free State.” NECESSARY to the SECURITY of a FREE STATE. That means that the REASON for the Second Amendment is to preserve the CITIZENS’ MILITIA so that the citizens can be sure that their “state” will always be “FREE.” To protect themselves and their state from those who would take away their FREEDOM. A few thoughts:
1. It would be wise for as many as possible to save a copy of the above photos and documents of Mark Kaleokualoha Davis before they get taken down by him in response to this post.
2. In comparing the above birth certificates, please note that Mark Kaleokualoha Davis’ from his sodahead.com account that he obviously posted, along with every other kind of document from his life you can think of, reads at the top “CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH” while Obama’s short form from whitehouse.gov says “CERTIFICATION OF LIVE BIRTH”.
3. Please note the differences in the basic formatting of each birth certificate: There are differences in Kaleokualoha’s and Obama’s certificates that include date stamps (Obama’s looks like an ink stamp while Kaleokualoha’s looks like a pressed stamp, you have to zoom in a little to see it clearly), Obama’s says “African” for father’s race while Kaleokualoha’s reads “negro”, etc., etc..
4. The childhood photos, at least to me, indicate a family resemblance: look at the forehead (really obvious in all the photos compared) along with the turtle lip and the circle around the mouths, etc., etc..
5. Kaleokualoha is obviously a prolific blogger and it is easy to learn a lot about him by searching for “Kaleokualoha” or “Mark Kaleokualoha” in Google search engine.

kittycat, I was comparing the two “certificates” and there may be an explanation, at least for the differences in the forms. I don’t remember exactly when the HDOH decided to call all of its BC’s “certificates” rather than the short form being a “certification” (obviously in response to people pointing out that what BHO displayed was a certification, etc etc etc…) but if BHO got that one in 2007 as it is date stamped, perhaps Mark Davis got his copy sometime after 10/08 when that form was revised (according to the notation at the bottom).
What strikes me about the comparison is how much Mark’s looks like a “real” piece of paper document, especially if you zoom in on it and the other really doesn’t.

Glenn Beck was on a tear today because, he said, some are calling for Michele to “apologize” or be kicked off the intelligence committee. I dare them to try it. If they want to win in November, they’d better not even try. We the People deserve answers, not persecution of Michele Bachmann. We WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWERS, TOO. How did Huma get a security clearance? Did she get one or was she just given a pass, sort of like how Hasan was not investigated because, hey, it’s “politically sensitive” in this Obamanation?
She has powerful friends. Yeah, we noticed all the lamestream reporters who call her “Huma” instead of Ms. Abedin-Weiner. We know she’s like a “daughter” to the Clintons.
How did Barry get a security clearance, btw? Beck was calling on people to bury Boehner, McLame, and the others with emails calling for them to stand behind Michele and answer the damned questions. They owe HER and US an apology.
Where does Romney stand on this? He’d better be on the right side or things will go bad for him and our country come November, when the Republicans lose again.
I’m afraid they planned for Romney to lose. They thought the Tea Party would NOT vote for him but the polls look good. The same forces are deliberately trying to alienate the Tea Partiers and other conservatives from Romney. We cannot let this happen. If Romney stands by Michele or at least rises above it, then there is hope that he’s not part of this and that he, at least, is TRYING to win. Why else are they trying to pull defeat from the jaws of victory. MCLAME again. I’ll NEVER forget him standing there and saying Obama is a patriot and a citizen. NEVER.
I read an article that said that Romney might be fixing to commit political suicide and, once again, pull a McLame and intentionally blow it by choosing a non-NBC, RUBIO, for VP. Again, by their choices ye shall know them. We will know the fix is in AGAIN if he chooses someone who is INELIGIBLE. He’s throwing us and the Constitution under the bus if he does so.

I have to say I never saw even the slightest resemblance between Frank and BO, in fact it was hard for me to picture two relatively unattractive people (SAD and FMD) producing a child as good looking as BHO, but those younger photos of Mark definitely (to me) resemble the chubby version of young Barry.

Abortionists ordered to warn of suicide risk

A federal appeals court affirmed the last provision of a long disputed informed consent law today, ruling that the state of South Dakota is allowed to require abortionists to inform women seeking to terminate the lives of their unborn they would be at “increased risk” for suicide.

“As a result of this case upholding all eight major provisions of South Dakota’s Abortion Informed Consent Statute, pregnant mothers will now be informed: (1) that ‘an abortion terminates the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being;’ (2) that the mother’s ‘relationship with that second human being enjoys protection under the Constitution of the United States and the laws of South Dakota;’ (3) ‘that relationship and all rights attached to it will be terminated;’ and (4) the abortion places the mother ‘at increased risk for suicide ideation and suicide,’” he said.
The court’s opinion said even Planned Parenthood’s own testimony documented a link between abortion and suicide.

I didn’t know that there was a documented link between abortion and suicide and never heard it. I was on the Suicide lines for 10 years – and it was never mentioned in classes or by clients. So this information is interesting. This case occurs when today an abortion was botched in Illinois at a Planned Parenthood org. and a young girl died, so Congressmen are calling for truthfulness from the organization as to how their millions in taxpayer monies are really spent.

Mitt Romney assailed President Barack Obama for foreign policies he said have weakened the U.S., charging the administration with leaking security secrets, proposing dangerous defense-spending cuts, and mistreating allies including Israel while failing to effectively cripple Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
In a wide-ranging speech on the eve of a six-day trip overseas, the presumed Republican presidential nominee called for a tougher U.S. negotiating stance with Iran and a special counsel to investigate what he said were politically motivated disclosures of national security information by Obama’s aides.

Real estate billionaire Donald Trump says the furor surrounding Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s tax returns is nothing more than a tempest in a tea pot. “I really believe the whole clamor for Mitt Romney’s tax returns has died down,” Trump said, according to The Hill. “People are getting tired of it.”
Americans are more concerned over what information President Barack Obama hasn’t revealed, he said. “They’re looking at the things our president has not released, and I think frankly that’s starting to come to the floor. I think they’re saying, ‘Wait a minute, we’d better not keep pushing this tax return stuff, because then the president’s going to have to release things he doesn’t want to release,’ and I think that’ll be devastating to him.”

Trump also took a dig at House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who said last week that she won’t reveal her tax returns because she isn’t running for president. “She’s always been known as a dealmaker, and it would be interesting to see what those returns say,” Trump said.

The Democratic leader of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Monday that the White House appears to be responsible for some leaks of classified information. “I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein told a World Affairs Council forum.
The California lawmaker said she was certain that President Barack Obama, who receives a daily intelligence briefing, isn’t disclosing secret information, but she was uncertain about others at the White House. “I don’t believe for a moment that he goes out and talks about it,” she said.

Her comments came as U.S. officials said the number of people with access to some of the nation’s most carefully guarded secrets topped 4.86 million in 2011. That’s up from 4.7 million people granted security clearances the year before, likely reflecting new hires approved by Congress as part of expanded clandestine operations in the Obama administration. [So where are the leakers about Obama? Out of 4.86 million – not a one? What are expanded clandestine operations exactly? What are we paying for that we don’t know about?]
Clearance levels range from confidential to secret to top secret. Top secret clearances in 2011 numbered 1.4 million, down slightly from 1.43 million the year before.

I recently read another article, was re-reading old articles, where a girl who knew FMD and remembered Barry and Stan visiting called FMD (who wasn’t her father) “DADDY”. NOT Pops. Daddy. Maybe as in, Daddy-O. They didn’t call him Pops. The neighbor kids called him Daddy. Barry called him Pops, in the poem.

I have seen no evidence to refute this narrative given directly to Maraniss by Ruth and the Obama relatives including numerous verifiable claims of fact.
That being the case, the family picture of Barack Sr., Ruth, Mark and David is circa 1970.
David’s death, it turns out, is reported under the name “David Ndesandjo” on page 629 of the Index:

It is noteworthy that Barry’s alleged girlfriend at the time has no recollection of any call to Barry informing him of the death of his half-brother, who was supposedly being grieved over by the daughter of Kezia who was dumped in favor of David’s mother, acording to the narrative. The book says at age four Auma (called Rita at the time) was taken away from Kezia’s care and boarded at a Catholic convent school in Nairobi and expected to treat Ruth as her mother when visiting her father. The description of the Auma call regarding David’s death appears to have been lifted intact from “Dreams,” IIRC, an Ayers-written novella. [INDEED, AND AUMA VISITED BARRY IN CHICAGO, NOT IN NYC. ONE WOULD CERTAINLY THINK HE’D TELL GENEVIEVE THAT HIS BROTHER JUST GOT KILLED IN A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT.]

It took Maraniss four years to write the book.

They probably got their information from O’Really, who defended Barry’s CT SS# by saying that his father probably got it for him when his father attended college at Harvard. Given that O’Really himself went to Harvard, you’d think he’d know where the university is located–in Massachusetts, not Connecticut. But confusion is a goal unto itself. A shame they screwed up. It might be a false flag: Since it’s asking for people to sign a petition to get the DemoncRATS to put up another candidate, that’s a clue. Can you say Hillary? Or her supporters?

Today, we hear that Holmes allegedly actually yelled at some of the victims for being on the floor, bent over to pull them up, and then shot them at point blank range. I have to wonder if that professor did open that package after it arrived July 12 and then did nothing. Why did he call the cops to say a package that was NOT from Holmes might be from him, leading to the sudden discovery of the other package, which was from Holmes, supposedly unopened and hidden away in the campus post office. There’s been a big increase in gun sales and people signing up for concealed carry permits and classes in self-defense since the shooting. One gun dealer reported a 300% increase in sales. I don’t see how they can square their “one gunman” story with this audio tape. Who was the guy in the blue and white shirt? Why were they chasing him (they lost him) 20 minutes after they arrested Holmes? Holmes was arrested as he was taking off his armor and preparing to drive away. Slower than his accomplice? He was surprised cops got there so fast: So he planned to get away. He didn’t expect them to get there so fast because he expected his apartment to explode. One question, though: why did he set the timer on the stereo instead of just on the bombs? If he wanted them to go off and create a diversion, why would he add the element of relying on someone to open the door, when all he had to do was set the timer on the trigger? He’s acting crazy (perhaps) because then he won’t be questioned about his accomplice. Surely anyone trained to do something like this will also be trained how to stymie investigators. The cops last night reaffirmed one shooter. How do they square that with WITNESS reports of the other guy, with the common sense realization that there had to be more than one to wreak such havoc, and with the audio that proves they were chasing someone after Holmes was arrested?
I was lying awake in bed in the wee hours of last Friday morning when the news of the massacre broke. The first reports were that one shooter had surrendered to LE in the theater parking lot and that LE was seeking an accomplice. By morning (real morning, when people who can sleep are waking up), around 5 or 6am, the live reports were that THE SOLE suspect and lone shooter had been apprehended but no explanation of earlier reports had been offered. I found that suspicious at the time but attributed it to LE tactics, to more easily catch a suspect because he doesn’t know he’s being sought. I now know that’s not the case. While I still find it odd that LE initially believed there was an accomplice, I’m not convinced that one exists.
Further, I’m not sure that the guy that witnesses say purchased a ticket, took a seat in the theater, and then left through the exit-only door wasn’t Holmes. I’m also not sure that that person, who I believe was Holmes, was prompted to leave the theater by a cell phone call received and not by an alarm he’d programmed into his cell phone. During the interview that I saw, the witness said that the man who left the theater appeared to do so because he received a cell phone call. He didn’t say that he answered a cell phone call, only that he received a call. With cell phone sound settings being user-defined, the witness couldn’t know if the cell phone sound notification was that of an alarm or a call received.

He wanted the police, responding to a noise complaint, to open the door and set off the explosions because “officer down” calls take priority over all other calls. On the other hand, a building engulfed in flames, flames so high and heat so intense that there’s neither the possibility nor the need of performing search and rescue, is the immediate and initial job of the fire department. Except for presence, required involvement of the police dept could be minimal (especially at a time when officers are needed to stop a mad gunman in the act of mowing down movie-goers). Heavy involvement of the police dept wouldn’t be required until fire investigators determined explosive devices and accelerants had caused the explosion(s) and resulting flames, which would not happen until the site cooled enough to enter, possibly days later. Even then, most of the work would go to crime investigators and detectives and not patrolmen. Anyway, taking out police officers by setting them up to set off and become the first victims of the explosives and fire would have been a diversion of magnitude enough to buy him the time he needed to kill and then flee.
If this is correct, then Holmes’ anticipated behavior of his neighbors was absolutely wrong.Their patience and their tolerance of what they must have assumed at the time to be his thoughtless and inconsiderate behavior (blaring the same techno “song” repeatedly from midnight to 1am) ruined his planned murder of police officers and the diversion of the entire police force that would have followed, in turn, causing him to be apprehended by LE. He assumed his neighbors to be as cold and selfish, as lacking in empathy, as he is. He was so sure of it that he gambled his freedom on it…and he lost. I find the poetic justice in that to be beautiful.

Neuroscientists debunk idea Colorado suspect James Holmes was supersmart
(USA TODAY) — James Holmes seemed well on his way to a career as a scientist.
His résumé after he graduated with honors in neuroscience from the University of California-Riverside in 2010 cites experience in the lab dissecting birds, studying their musculature and analyzing data and graphs to measure molecules.
A video from a science camp he attended after high school shows him making a presentation about temporal illusions, misfirings in brain cells that lead to misreading the passage of time – the feeling that time stands still. In the video, Holmes refers to “an illusion that allows you to change the past.”
He was one of six students admitted to the University of Colorado’s graduate program in neuroscience last year. He received a $26,000 federal stipend.
But neuroscientist David Eagleman says Holmes’ credentials were no better than those of an average student. The mass killing suspect is no elite neuroscientist, says Eagleman, of Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
“He was just a second-year grad student,” he says. “He didn’t know anything.”

Eagleman, a former researcher at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, Calif., where Holmes attended the eight-week summer camp when he was 18, said the young man had a reputation as a “dolt.”
Eagleman didn’t know Holmes but says the teen parroted his advisers’ words in his presentation on temporal illusions. A video of the speech was first reported by ABC News.
“He was just given the presentation to read,” Eagleman says. “He wasn’t any sort of superscientist when he was 18.”

Jacobson told the newspaper Holmes “should not have gotten into the summer program. His grades were mediocre. I’ve heard him described as brilliant. This is extremely inaccurate.”
He said Holmes’ high school transcripts showed Bs and no advanced-placement classes. He was accepted to the camp because he had done computer programming, Jacobson said. He was never Holmes’ mentor, he said, but Holmes worked in his lab to write a computer code for an experiment Jacobson was working on. He told the newspaper Holmes never finished it.
“What he gave me was a complete mess,” Jacobson says.
Holmes’ résumé suggests he was trained in dissection of birds and mice, performing chemistry tests and attaching small gene tags to cells to target them for treatment.
“Recipe-book stuff, literally, that every biology student should learn,” Eagleman says. As for the grant, Eagleman says, “Holmes is being depicted as some sort of brilliant researcher who won a rare grant, but there are thousands of research students in this country with such grants. Everyone has one. There is nothing elite about it.”
Holmes had difficulty with a June 7 preliminary exam, given orally by three university faculty members. It is designed to evaluate students’ knowledge at the end of the first year. Three days later, Holmes dropped out.

Batman shooter wants to know how film ends: Report

The man accused of killing a dozen people at a Colorado screening of The Dark Knight Rises wants to know how the film ends, a stunned jail worker reportedly told the New York Daily News.
James Holmes, 24, ‘was trying to look like he was sincerely curious’, a person who witnessed the bizarre incident in the jail’s infirmary on Tuesday told the paper.
“Like he had no idea why there was anything wrong with what he was saying. It was sick … I think he’s trying real hard to act crazy.”
His eyes glazed and his voice flat, Holmes reportedly asked a jail worker “Did you see the movie?” and then “How does it end?”
He repeated the question when the worker ignored him.

It’s become plain to me that the Batman character and movies had nothing to do with Holmes’ committing mass murder. For whatever reason(s) or motive(s), he wants LE and the public to believe The Dark Knight Rises is key but I’m not buying what he’s selling. Perhaps he’s trying to prove to himself and/or instructors and former instructors who, from his point of view, are his detractors because they refused to recognize his genius, that he is, indeed, as brilliant and of superior intelligence as he and as those who promoted him into the doctorate program believed him to be. He will prove his superior intelligence by duping the justice system into letting him, literally, get by with, not just murder, but mass murder committed in such a way as to get the attention of the entire world. Or maybe he’s following the instructions of others who’ve thrown Batman into the mix as a distraction, to keep focus from turning their way and, basically, to cause confusion (just another form of disinformation).
Just so everyone knows, I’m not a fan of comic books, Batman the character, the old Batman tv show or the Batman movies. The Batman movies are just too dark (both the visuals and the story lines are dark) for my taste. I also have a hard time caring what happens to Gotham City, an urban area populated by people so f’ing stupid that they can’t see that Bruce Wayne is Batman, not even when Michael Keaton’s ugly, old woman-looking mouth was right there on the face of Bruce Wayne and at the same time was the only facial feature not covered by Batman’s mask. People that stupid deserve The Penguin and whatever he has in store for them.
Great commentary. I agree with you about Batman and the rest, too. IF he wasn’t brilliant then HOW did he get that doctoral grant? EVERYBODY gets $26,000 grants? B students? I think not. The father (adoptive, if we believe the UK story) IS brilliant. Maybe he wanted to live up to his dad. Anything is possible but it’s not everybody who gets disappointed in life who goes out and murders in cold blood like this. There’s something wrong with this picture. Everywhere.
If it’s true that his father is a genius, then maybe he helped his son become the recipient of the grant(s), called in favors of old friends or whatever. For that matter, if his father is a genius, then it’s possible that he’s crossed paths with Eagleman and Jacobson, ticked them off and, holding grudges since, they’re now taking advantage of the current focus on the junior Holmes to talk smack to the press. Hey, I watch The Big Bang Theory; I know how nasty scientists can be toward one another. :p
I guess right now everyone and anyone who’s had any contact with the younger Holmes is going to have something to say. We won’t know for sure until all is resolved which statements made by whom are true and relevant.
He’s the media celeb for the moment, which is part of why some of these creeps do this stuff: notoriety.

Its amazing to me that the blaring techno music in that apartment didn’t trip the wires in that zombie’s apartment. Just saying, because it rattles the dishes in my china closet when its playing upstairs. I swear it even bugs the fillings in my teeth.

I’m starting to think that they might have faked this guys death, fried the brain and inserted the fall guy. The real Holmes is being used for something very secret, possibly against his will. I’m throwing up a link to a great site, with the before and after pics of mr holmes side by side, and you can clearly see that its 2 different people. He is/was way too intelligent to be wasted on such a crude campaign.
