There is probably more that will come out about the mormon religion. From what my one mormon friend tells me, they re-marry deceased couples even if they are divorced. Not sure why, I didnt feel like asking but it is a strange practice if true. Whoever in the GOP thought Romney was a shoe-in needs to think twice. I see him as very weak but who knows, I could be wrong.
Harry Reid, Senate majority leader, is a MORMON. How will they run against Mormonism when one of their most visible “leaders” is himself a Mormon?
If it’s true that they remarry deceased couples, it’s a thought exercise. IMHO. It’s of a piece with doing genealogy (something extremely useful to non-Mormons and for which I’m grateful) so that they can find all their ancestors and baptize them. Does it harm anybody? Only those who are offended.
I was adopted, without my permission, by some Mormons that I knew. Did it harm me? Only if I think about it and decide to be offended.
btw, they had another useful tradition. They believed that they had to have a year’s worth of food stored up in preparation for the End Times, just to see them through. I figured–hey! If the worse happens, at least my “adoptive parents” will feed me. 🙂

I read a book many years ago and in it was a British girl that went to Iraq with her hubby for their disertations there to a primative village in the 1940’s and all the gals had their cuff bracelets and tons of tats. Great post. Once again more questions than answers. Since it’s an open thread I wanted to comment on what was posted on the president’s day thread about the treasury bill fraud et. al. I cannot comprehend or follow the meaning behind the scandal but I detect another fabricated financial crisis right before the elections. We know how that one turned out. I am pretty confident that anothe fale flag operation will occur before the election. What a nightmare.

I also listened to ms.Karri Goeldner talk about being the first on the ground in Haiti with EMMA and how they would be able to implement their programs in Africa with NGO’s and all other monies available. Harry Dent, author of “The Great Crash Ahead,” believes that the global debt bubble is going to burst and when it does, there will be a massive market crash. It should be noted that this is a revision of his earlier prediction that a crash would hit in 2012. He says he modified his forecast because the global central banks have been pumping the markets with so much money, stocks have been given a temporary boost. But he warns that as soon as the short-lived boost comes to an end, the crash will be hard.

It’s impossible for them to prosecute. From what I read at the time it was a coordinated effort for all sovereign money to be pulled out of the market thus creating the crisis. Everyone is blaming the mortgage derivative market but it was much bigger than that. So who would have all the foreign connections to get elected? Who would coordinate with foreign governments to bring on a world wide financial crisi. Who is getting all the stimulus money, money from increased US debt, 5 trillion since obo got to town? Our money is going all over the world and to domestic green energy companies for what? as payback for the election? Why do we send money to china for studies? If this has happened in any other administration also, we need to put an end to it.
From what I heard on Solyndra et al they took the money out of the company and declared bankruptcy. Look at how SEC has done in the past. i.e. nothing. I am telling you people in DC are frightened of this guy. I am sure there are some real threats out there. No matter what, obo has to go.

This is a very puzzling story. I lean towards believing that the entire thing was staged. The Korans were already defaced BY MUSLIMS under detention. They wrote in them to pass messages. It’s especially puzzling because it doesn’t ring true. Our troops are supposedly put through painstaking “cultural sensitivity” courses. Who doesn’t know by now how the Muslims feel about that book? How many people have died, been murdered, because they get “offended” by what they consider to be slights against a book? Everybody knows. Especially our troops would be sensitive because THEY KNOW who suffers (with no support from above) any time Muslims over there get “offended”. The troops are hung out to dry.
Is this another case of Kabuki theatre? It was Afghans who “found” these books and saved them from supposedly being burned. Then it was Afghans who publicized it and incited the riots and murders. Might it have been Afghans who put the books in the dump in the first place? Who put the books there to be incinerated? Or back at the source, might it have been Afghans who loaded the books into the boxes that they knew were on the way to the dump and THEN these same Afghans tipped other Afghans where to look and what to look for? Remember, too, it was Afghans who let the murderer through the supposed “high security” at that ministry so he could shoot our officers in cold blood.

Actually, the constitution has been dead for a long time. I was suspicious about the standing comments. There was a guy that posted at Mario’s blog alot discussing the loss of constitutional law but he stopped posting. The loss of standing is not with the Plaintiff but with the judge. The way the courts are operating now, they report directly to the president. The judges have no standing to hear a case against the pResident. No one wants to discuss what has happened. Documents published online this month show that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, an organization known for its uncompromising animal-rights positions, killed more than 95 percent of the pets in its care in 2011.
Fifteen years’ worth of similar records show that since 1998 PETA has killed more than 27,000 animals at its headquarters in Norfolk, VA. In a February 16 statement, the Center said PETA killed 1,911 cats and dogs last year, finding homes for only 24 pets. Kovich also determined that PETA employees kill 84 percent of the animals in their custody within 24 hours of receiving them.
“[PETA’s] primary purpose,” Kovich wrote, “is not to find permanent adoptive homes for animals.” “PETA hasn’t slowed down its slaughterhouse operation,” said Rick Berman, CCF’s executive director. “It appears PETA is more concerned with funding its media and advertising antics than finding suitable homes for these dogs and cats.”
In a statement, Berman added that PETA has a $37 million dollar annual budget.

ELF and ALF are terrorists by definition using intimidation, threats and acts of violence, and property destruction to force their opinions of proper environmental and animal rights policy upon society. ELF and ALF resort to arson, sabotage, and harassment in hopes of using fear to attain their goals of hampering development and free commerce.
In fact, ELF and ALF are responsible for, estimating conservatively, over $110 million in damages and 1,100 acts of terrorism in the last decade. ELF and ALF’s weapon of choice is arson, placing instructions on how to effectively set fire to “animal abusers†on their website. For nearly seven years, the nation has turned its terror focus on Al Qaeda and the hunt for Usama bin Laden. But there is a domestic terror threat that federal officials still consider priority No. 1 — eco-terrorism.
The torching of luxury homes in the swank Seattle suburb of Woodinville earlier this month served as a reminder that the decades-long war with militant environmentalists on American soil has not ended.
“It remains what we would probably consider the No. 1 domestic terrorism threat, because they have successfully continued to conduct different types of attacks in and around the country,” said FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko.
The FBI defines eco-terrorism “as the use or threatened use of violence of a criminal nature against innocent victims or property by an environmentally oriented, subnational group for environmental-political reasons, or aimed at an audience beyond the target, often of a symbolic nature.”

Barack Obama’s mother (Stanley Ann Dunham) was a white Caucasian woman being born in Wichita, Kansas on November 29, 1942 and raised in the state of Washington and in the state of Hawaii.
The petition concludes:
As stated above, for an Individual to be a candidate for the office of president of the United States, the candidate must meet the qualifications set forth in the United States Constitution and one of those qualifications is that the Candidate shall be a “natural born citizen” of the United States. As Barack Hussein Obama II is of the “mulatto” race, his status of citizenship is founded upon the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Before the [purported] ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, the race of “Negro” or “mulatto” had no standing to be citizens of the United States under the United States Constitution.
Contrary to the argument presented in the pleading, the Fourteenth Amendment defined citizenship and granted both civil and political rights to those born in the United States. Moreover, it made it illegal for any state to deny those rights. Also, the Fourteenth Amendment effectively overturned the Dred Scott decision (of 1857), which found that slaves and their descendants could never be U.S. citizens.
While this case has very little chance of being won in court, it is a stark reminder of the challenges and racist attitudes many of us continue to face.[Of course, they would see it as racist..!]

I wonder who started this idea? It seems pretty far-fetched to me. Ron Paul won’t spin off and run as an independent because his son has higher ambitions and he won’t want to hurt his political career. Is Junior ready to take over the presidency if something was to happen to the president? That is what the VP is supposed to be qualified to do.
Ron Paul has been in Congress for years, and even though he may have great ideas on right and wrong according to the constitution, the government is a business. Management skills, diplomatic skills, and entrepreneurial skills are needed. I don’t see those in his recent resume. Yes, he is smart and accomplished as a physician, but running an organization requires a different skillset.
We already see a government run amok with an inexperienced smooth talkin’ jivin’ conman at the helm. His choices to help run the government were first the group from the Clinton era, and they were replaced with his radicals including the unvetted czars. How could he choose well rounded people if all he was surrounded by were revolutionaries and radicals? What did we expect?
Our country is in dire shape and we need more than a guy that can talk. Because of Obama and Hillary’s lack of foreign policy experience, and lack of a clear cut foreign policy has led to our major allies being dissed, and instead we are siding with known enemies and nations. These two hacks represent weakness to the world, and the tyrants have taken notice. Appeasement hasn’t worked, and bringing our troops home from all over the world isn’t going to show strength either. The despots look at the world quite differently from us and they would view this as a retreat and proof they have won whatever battle it is that they are fighting – ancient religious views. The third world still has a tribal mentality, and we are trying to use education and logic to deal with them. When Hillary leaves as SOS what will be her accomplishments? Did either of them leave the world better than they found it? The answer is, a resounding no.

I wanted to add that he, my son-in-law, was in Iraq twice in the Army, did two tours of duty. “Univision’s Jorge Ramos had a heated exchange with Maricopa County, Ariz. Sheriff Joe Arpaio on his show Sunday.
“Now, as you know, to many Latinos, Sheriff Arpaio, you are the face of racism and discrimination. You know that?” Ramos asked Arpaio.
“Well, I’m a pretty nice guy, having lived in Mexico City, South America, Texas and Arizona. I’ve never had any problems with a Latino. They love me,” Arpaio responded, standing in front of one of his jails.
Ramos’ questions for Arpaio where mostly immigration related but he also asked Arpaio about the motivation behind his investigation looking in to President Obama’s birth certificate.
“I’m not going to avoid your question. On the other hand, on March 1 I will present what evidence we have. I’m really investigating the birth certificate, which — not really the President — I want to see all the facts of that birth certificate,” Arpaio told Ramos.
Ramos closed the interview telling Arpaio that he didn’t understand why he continued to grant him interviews.
“We’ve spoken twice, and I still can’t understand why you keep on talking to us. Are you — why are you doing this? As you know, many people in the Hispanic community, many immigrants simply hate you. Why do you insist on talking to us?”
“Because — because you called me. I didn’t call you, and you are a fair, well-known reporter, well respected,” Arpaio replied.”

“No, they don’t,” Ramos replied, twice, adding, “I know you’re making fun of this but, they don’t.”
Arpaio angrily countered, “How do you know they don’t like me?” and Ramos replied that he had done interviews with several illegal immigrants who told him so, as well as conducted several polls. Ramos also says that Arpaio is, to them, “the voice of America,” which seems like a significantly broader brush with which to paint, but Arpaio contests only the original charge: “I’m going to continue to enforce the laws.””
Except Ramos didn’t say “illegal immigrants,” though; he said “undocumented immigrants.” But he’s basing his opinion and his “polls” on what ILLEGAL ALIENS say about Sheriff Joe. AS IF their opinion matters. Who the heck cares what illegal aliens think about a US sheriff, duly elected by the people of Arizona to ENFORCE OUR LAWS?
I hope that Joe’s “preliminary” findings reveal SOMETHING. It’s unsettling to me that this is hitting the mainstream media, unless their goal is simply to continue the DEMONIZATION of Joe so that (they hope) nobody listens to what he says.

I have been warning my cattle industry clients FOR YEARS to get out of debt as quickly as possible, and not just for the obvious business reasons. I have been telling them that the government WILL NOT HONOR any contracts or terms on mortgages or notes when the system collapses and the banks are all nationalized. Your 20-year note at 5%? well, it doesn’t take much for me to laugh, but Ray Stevens, no doubt where he stands. I just watched his” come to the USA ” and the one on ‘flying aint what it used to be”. Israelis reportedly don’t plan to notify US if decision made to strike Iran

Israeli officials say they won’t warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, one U.S. intelligence official familiar with the discussions told the Associated Press.
Israeli officials said that if they eventually decide a strike is necessary, they would keep the Americans in the dark to decrease the likelihood that the U.S. would be held responsible for failing to stop Israel’s potential attack. The U.S. has been working with the Israelis for months to persuade them that an attack would be only a temporary setback to Iran’s nuclear program.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak delivered the message to a series of top-level U.S. visitors to the country, including the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the White House national security adviser and the director of national intelligence, and top U.S. lawmakers, all trying to close the trust gap between Israel and the U.S. over how to deal with Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
But the apparent decision to keep the U.S. in the dark also stems from Israel’s frustration with the White House. After a visit by National Security Adviser Tom Donilon in particular, they became convinced the Americans would neither take military action, nor go along with unilateral action by Israel against Iran. The Israelis concluded they would have to conduct a strike unilaterally — a point they are likely to hammer home in a series of meetings over the next two weeks in Washington, the official said.
Barak will meet with top administration and congressional officials during his visit. Netanyahu arrives in Washington for meetings with President Barack Obama next week.
The behind-the-scenes warning belies the publicly united front the two sides have attempted to craft with the shuttle diplomacy to each other’s capitals.

Do you know if Google is tracking your Web activity? If you have a Google account (for, say, Gmail, You tube, ) and have not specifically located and paused the Web History setting, then the search giant is keeping track of your searches and the sites you visited.
If you’d like to prevent Google from combining this potentially sensitive data with the information it has collected from your YouTube, Google+, and other Google accounts, you can remove your Web History and stop it from being recorded moving forward.
