  1. Video: How birther talk helps Obama
    msnbc.com video

From April…but interesting to listen to these people that I never hear. They are so off the mark.

Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan join Morning Joe to discuss how birther talk from potential 2012 GOP candidates like Donald Trump helps embolden President …

  2. GE Decides to Dump Offshore Wind-Power Plans Despite Collecting Millions in Stimulus Funds for Wind Projects
    September 10, 2011 Snip

GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt, the head of Barack Obama’s Economic Advisory Panel, was invited to sit with the First Lady during the president’s speech to Congress this past week. He’s been a strong supporter of the president since he took over the White House and his companies have received plenty of government funds as well.

GE was awarded 44 contracts totaling over $46,000,000 and 44 grants totaling more than $79,000,000 from the Obama-Pelosi $757 billion dollar stimulus package. Millions of dollars in stimulus funds were used by GE in green energy projects.

Today GE announced that it was going to gut its offshore wind-power plans.

    Forbes reported:

    • Will GE return the funds now that they are gutting their Wind power plans? If people don’t remember prior to Obama taking office, GE was losing their shirts in the market. To offset losses in other areas, they risked investing in something like 700,000 +/- wind turbines and needed something to help them …along came Obama. So did we pay them for their stupid investment? Will they return the money now that they are gutting their idea? They needed stimulus funds
for the company that Immelt was ruining, and their stocks had plummeted at the time. He ruined the brand called GE, and is still doing so.

How many jobs were created by Immelt with $79 million given as a freebie by the US taxpayers? An inept CEO sits on a Jobs Creation committee of Obama’s?

Looking forward to an FBI raid.

    • Are these the ones offshore from the Kennedy compound?

That’s a good response to the murder in cold blood (shot in the back) of an innocent Greyhound bus passenger in MO by a MUSLIM from Glendale, AZ. The guy was shouting something incomprehensible, but local news stories don’t say what that blogger does–he claimed he couldn’t understand English (wonder why?) and lawyered up immediately. Mohamed H. Dawod, age 25. No word yet on whether he’s an illegal alien, why he’s here, who he is, what his motive was, in case you can’t guess. FBI cautions not to make “snap judgments.” Sorry. I, for one, snapped. On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the illustrious DHS and Greyhound allowed a Muslim on board, carrying a gun (legal? from Fast and Furious?) where he promptly murdered someone. Shades of Flight 93: The murderer was tackled and subdued by fellow passengers, or else he would have killed more. Bet on it. http://www.kspr.com/news/local/kspr-springfield-police-ask-fbi-to-join-greyhound-shooting-investigation-due-to-language-barrier-20110909,0,3544637.story

The first story I read about this was that the murderer and his victim “argued” and that’s when the shooting took place. But the witnesses on the bus said they NEVER spoke. So why the original falsehood? Is this getting national coverage? Dawod was on his way to BOSTON. All I need to hear next is that he also has a home in Arlington, VA.

  4. As we might have suspected, Barry’s jopsss plan is aimed at (and being well received by) blacks and hispanics: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_OBAMA_BLACKS?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2011-09-10-04-20-55

“A day after Obama laid out before Congress his plan to kick-start job growth, many blacks hoped it would translate into reduced misery for them over the coming months. While the country’s unemployment rate stands at 9.1 percent, black unemployment has hit 16.7 percent, the highest since 1984. Unemployment among male blacks is at 18 percent, and black teens are unemployed at a rate of 46.5 percent.

The early signs of their reaction were positive. … Prominent African-Americans like Kenneth Chenault, chairman and CEO of American Express and Michael Nutter, mayor of Philadelphia, quickly applauded the plan. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., has been one of the most vocal advocates for dealing more effectively with black unemployment, but she was enthusiastic.

For the president, it was a welcome change in tone after a steady drumbeat of criticism from members of the Congressional Black Caucus, who held their own job fairs and town hall meetings while protesting that Obama’s jobs tour across America last month bypassed black communities.

The caucus’ urban blitz cleared a path for the country’s first black president to act, Waters said.

“I can see that our handprint is all over it,” Waters said of Obama’s plan. “We upped the ante a little bit by pushing, being a bit more vocal. This was not done in a way to threaten the president but to make it easier for him. We think we helped him to be able to formulate a response.” … Although the president did not specifically mention high unemployment among blacks, black people “are sophisticated enough to understand” how their communities will benefit, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said Friday.

“Obviously there is a debate raging, saying that we should come out and say this expressly for the black and Latino community,” Kirk said. “But this president got elected spectacularly on his premise that we are not a black America, a brown America, a white America. We are one America.” [So he will PRETEND otherwise, but target all the goodies to the “people of color”, including, one supposes, illegal alien construction workers.] … On Friday, while the president pushed his American Jobs Act in Richmond, Va., his aides promoted targeted relief to Hispanics, teachers, police officers, construction workers, small businesses and others.

Administration officials said the plan would extend unemployment benefits and provide support for 1.4 million blacks who have been unemployed six months or longer. It also would provide summer and subsidized jobs for youth, help boost the paychecks of 20 million black workers through an extension and expansion of the payroll tax, and benefit, in some way, more than 100,000 black-owned small businesses. … White House adviser Valerie Jarrett promoted Obama’s plan on Steve Harvey’s syndicated morning radio show, saying it would help “every part of our country, but particularly those who are the most vulnerable, who have been struggling the hardest, who have been trying to make ends meet and all they need is a little help from their government.” … The president has to be careful in targeting his efforts, some say. [In other words, talk big, get those independent WHITE votes by pretending he feels the pain of white unemployed, but “quietly” TARGET the benefits to blacks and hispanics.]

The more he talks about race, the more votes he loses,” [So he’ll just keep it to himself, but act accordingly.] said Randall Kennedy, author of a new book exploring racial politics and the Obama presidency. “Barack Obama had to overcome his blackness to become president … and he’s going to have to overcome it to be re-elected.” [Or PRETEND, once again, that he’s “post-racial.” Will too many be fooled again?]

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, an Obama supporter who engaged in damage control for the president this week, said black Americans “need to burst this false notion” that the president should put black unemployment on par with overall unemployment.

“If leaders in our community want to push him to lay out a black agenda, I believe that will end up disserving the black community and help elect people who certainly don’t have a past history about caring about the interests of the African-American community,” Reed said after Obama’s speech. “This debate is weakening the president and puts him in a political position where he has to do something to confirm his blackness.””

What do they want him to do to confirm his blackness? Show his birth certificate? 🙂

  5. Responding to Miri, re “lone wolf” ^ ^

    swept under the magic carpet

    • Yep. There he is. And didn’t people describe him as Hispanic or Middle-Eastern appearing?

Of course, the truth about that was all hidden, too. Clinton was POTUS then.

Not on his watch. If on his watch, LIE.

  6. Plumbing the depths of the intention of this POTUS: It becomes clear the purpose of this jopsss plan. It’s intended to gin up support among blacks and hispanics. Jesse Jackson is out, talking about how it needs to be passed but the racist Tea Partiers will block it. Maxine Waters is out there taking credit for it and making sure that her people know it’s for them.

They know it’s not going to pass. No more STIMULUS is going to pass. Even the members of the Super Congress are complaining that Barry expects them to find another half trillion dollars in cuts to pay for his Stimulus II (aka the jopssss bill for blacks and hispanics.)

Now Jesse Jackson alludes to the high unemployment rate among black “youths” and how it might (read threat) lead to anger and unrest. So are they setting the stage for the mob actions that they WILL gin up and then blame on Republicans because they didn’t pass the jopsss bill? It’s all about blame.

When the economy continues to stink (on account of Barry’s spending and business/capitalism-strangling policies) and when unemployment remains high (same reason), they will blame the Republicans in Congress for ALL–bad economy, high unemployment, unrest in the streets.

They care only for power and not one iota for anybody who will be harmed by their violence (as in the unreported violence in Tacoma). And the flash mobs across the country. And the “Knock out king” game across the country.

Huge turnout in Chicago to support Barry’s jopss bill. NOT! “Several hundred” union activists (paid by the unions?) and TEACHERS (isn’t it a school day?) marched in support, along with the usual suspect–Jesse Jackson. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2011/09/11/unions-activists-march-to-support-obama-jobs-plan/ When they say several hundred and use a tight-angle photo, it’s probably several dozen.

Gateway Pundit reports that a new, TARGETED DNC ad uses violent rhetoric, urging people to “FIGHT” for Barry’s jopss plan: http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2011/09/new-dnc-ad-urges-supporters-to-fight-for-obamas-latest-half-trillion-dollar-stimulus-plan-video/

Against whom? Probably those evil Tea Partiers who think it’s rather stupid, when the country is drowning in debt and the last “stimulus” was a whopping waste of money, to do it all over again. But he doesn’t mean it, anyway. He KNOWS it won’t pass Congress. It’s Kabuki theater to rally his base, cause racial unrest, and gin up protests in the streets. Just like Algore wants, as in the Middle East.

  7. Are we sure that this woman’s name isn’t Serena Obama? Look how she behaves and look how she gets a pass for her arrogant behavior:

Another similarity–she’s an embarrassment to the American people.

  8. CNN Republican Debate in conjunction with the Tea Party Express..there were some great lines from the candidates. First thing Newt would do is get rid of all the Czars in the WH. All will insure that Obamacare is repealed the day they walk into the office. From the first debate to this third one, the candidates have grown stronger in voicing their opinions, and their differences are starting to really show up.

Knowing the leftist leaning CNN was moderating, afterwards Gergan says he was getting twitters and some people are “horrified” by the candidates. “Horrified” …(only the radical left would be horrified at the responses of these people). Another lady is saying how divided the Republicans are..getting into the left’s talking points. Begala says it was a radically conservative audience. CNN is now fact checking what was said about Obama.

Perry said zero jobs were created by the Stimulus. Created or saved jobs in the Stimulus are being touted by CNN who are carrying Obama’s water ( it was 1 million to 3.2 million – at a cost of? they didn’t say.) . Remember Biden was in charge of the count!) They refuse to say it was a failed policy. Good old Debbie Wasserman-Schultz..says it was more of the same, and wow has she twisted what was said. She is a great spokesman for the Left, Twist the words and lie. Now she says, that the Republicans are out of touch! They will let someone die..rather than hospitalize them… totally out of context. Gergen is at it again…people out there are horrified and the nation is splintered.

I find it so funny that these people can’t figure out average, normal people who make up the Tea Party. Normal people are such an anomaly! The tea party people are not in line with mainstream Americans and the CNN polls prove it! according to Berger who looked up the statistics during a break. I remember the poll he was referring to and it was from a year or two ago. They haven’t said that the Tea Party is fringe..yet, but they are having a tough time remaining civil in their words especially Roland….a died in the wool leftist. who thinks Obama can do no wrong. (I hope he dies in that tank!).

Red State’s Erick Erickson reminded the audience of Obama’s soundbite about people sticking to their guns and religion, and Erick said it will probably be those very people that REPLACE him. (Opposite of Wasserman’s belief that The country will follow Obama again…she lives in a cup!)
Although some of Ron Paul’s answers are frightening to me. He really is best in the position he now holds, IMHO.

  9. Well Probe this! If this isn’t the pot calling the kettle black!

Maybe It’s Time for a ‘C Student’ for President
    Sept. 12 Snips

The Uber-Liberal Daily Kos website has published Texas governor Rick Perry’s college transcripts. You can view them here. Perry was no scholar at Texas A&M University. He was a C student. Liberals see this as a disqualification for a presidential candidate. At least we have the governor’s transcripts. The same can’t be said for the sitting president whose college and law school transcripts have not been made public.

Perry got a D in economics. Good for him. It was most likely Keynesian Economics, one of the most boring and convoluted courses ever devised by academia.

Given what academics from Harvard, Yale, and other Ivy Leaguers have done to our nation, I think a C student should have a shot at the presidency. All he has to do is follow directions. It’s all written out in the Constitution.

    • How did they get Perry’s transcript? Isn’t it private information? Why doesn’t Barry release his? After all, being a genius who graduated magna cum laude, there should be nothing to fear or hide. Right?

    Sep. 13, 2011, 7:02 AM

Update: An ongoing battle is underway between gunmen in a Kabul high-rise and police following a suicide blast at 8:30 GMT. BBC reports the attack appears to be a massive and complex operation with four suicide bombers spearheading the assault.

Marines are on the roof of the embassy are firming up their defense and returning fire. It’s not clear the extent of the damage or the incursion, but the US embassy in Kabul has come under attack by militants.

    The Taliban claimed responsibility.

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) — Fighting that raged for hours in Kabul Tuesday afternoon after a dramatic Taliban attack on the U.S. Embassy and NATO’s command calmed down greatly during the evening hours, a military spokesman told CNN. But the strike in central Kabul and two other brazen assaults across the city left residents unnerved, and security forces braced for more. Gunfire continued to ring out.

Three police officers have died and others have been injured in the violence across Kabul, police said. The Afghan Public Health ministry said one civilian was killed and at least 18 were wounded, but none seriously.

The central Kabul strike occurred amid intelligence that insurgents might launch a high-profile attack in the capital around the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against the United States, a coalition officer and a senior official of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force confirmed to CNN.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid told CNN that his group targeted “the U.S. Embassy, governmental organizations and other foreign organizations.

    • Barry’s doing a good job of losing for us a war that our brave troops had won. Did you see that Rumsfeld announced he’s never again going to read the NY Times because of Krugman’s “repugnant” 9/11 blog post wherein he called Giuliani and GWB “fake heroes” and our reaction to 9/11 “deeply shameful?” That would be fighting the Taliban and liberating Afghanistan (and ALL its women). Deeply shameful. So Krugman, for one, agrees with Barry.

    • CNN has a direct line to the Taliban?

  11. This says it all. h/t Gateway Pundit

  12. Is she saying. “all this for a flag?”

    • that was CSPAN

This one’s from Fox (folding the flag)

    • I looked at that about 5 times and I still can’t tell.

      • it seems to me that she is saying: all this to fold a flag.

but it matters not, her disdainful expression and his agreement is disgusting and telling.

i put it on full screen and could clearly discern she is making a remark about the flag during the ceremony and after his smug, sneaky nod, she goes on to say something else.

        • Whatever they’re saying, their expressions are snide and obviously the conversation is snarky, so inappropriate considering the occasion. These people are SUPPOSED to represent the USA. They’re at a solemn ceremony, a memorial, for nearly 3000 people murdered in cold blood. Their attitude is juvenile, disrespectful, disgusting. No matter what they’re saying, body language says it all.
