  1. Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everybody! Are rivers flowing green in Illinois?

    • Yes, some of them are, but not the Muddy Mississippi.

Thanks, Bridgette. With that name, you MUST be Irish! Top of the morning and afternoon to y’all.

      Happy St. Paddy’s Day, everybody!

  2. Trump says he has doubts about Obama’s birth place
    March 17th

(CNN) – Donald Trump, the business mogul who continues to claim he is seriously interested in mounting a bid for the White House, says he has doubts about whether President Obama was born in the United States.

In an interview with ABC, Trump said he finds it strange “nobody knew” Obama as a young child in Hawaii. “Let me tell you, I’m a really smart guy. I was a really good student at the best school in the country. The reason I have a little doubt, just a little, is because he grew up and nobody knew him,” Trump said in the interview that aired Thursday.

“If I got the nomination, if I decide to run, you may go back and interview people from my kindergarten. They’ll remember me. Nobody comes forward. Nobody knows who he is until later in his life. It’s very strange,” the Celebrity Apprentice host added. “The whole thing is very strange.”

Current Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie has said he was a friend of Obama’s parents in Hawaii and remembers when the future president was born. Abercrombie, a former congressman who became governor last December, vowed to produce an original copy of Obama’s birth certificate but abandoned those efforts earlier this year because it is against state law to release private documents, according to his spokeswoman.

In 2008, the Obama campaign produced a certification of live birth that reports his birthplace as Honolulu, Hawaii. He attended kindergarten there before moving to Jakarta, Indonesia with his stepfather at age six. Katherine Nakamoto, Obama’s kindergarten teacher, described the then-five-year old to the Maui News in 2009: “He was a cute, likable, heavy build-child. I could visualize Barry smiling, dressed in his long-sleeved, white shirt tucked into his brown Bermuda shorts, and wearing laced shoes.”

In the interview with ABC, Trump also said he would be willing to spend $600 million on his own presidential bid and ran through his opinions of his possible opponents.

    • If elected…would he investigate? Would he prosecute all those involved in the biggest con ever perpetrated?

Wow, this will make it into the mainstream media…what a way to bring the issue to the forefront! Finally someone with clout speaks! Thanks Donald!

      • Chris Tingle Matthews has a new insult for us, courtesy of The Donald’s coming over to the side of LOGIC. Chris says Trump’s going “primate.” Isn’t that special? Chris would be lucky to be as far up on the evolutionary scale as a primate. I’d put his mental skills, so far as logic goes, down with the slugs.

    • “The only people who don’t want to disclose the truth are the people with something to hide.”

Obama laughs and mocks us, but remember the saying, “He who laughs last laughs best.”

      • This morning, Glenn Beck was talking about Hillary. He thinks she’s setting herself up for a 2012 run. He says she’s thicker with Soros than Barry. He says a deal was made back in 2012, which is why she let Barry have the nomination. He reminded everybody that Hillary’s the one who started the birth certificate thing. I don’t know why that would necessarily discredit it. If Hillary knew something (and she probably did and still does), that may be why they threw it out there. If you’re running against the guy, of course you’d use whatever ammo you have. That doesn’t mean that it’s not true, just because Hillary was raising the issue. It seems more likely to be true, imho. It was a internecine primary, after all. Not a battle against the Republicans. Beck must believe that Soros is dropping Barry in favor of Hillary. He did say she’s positioning herself as the moderate choice as opposed to the far-left Barry. For what it’s worth. I don’t even know why I’m bringing it up, except it makes me wonder why Trump’s out there bringing this issue into the limelight.

        • Beck brought up the BC issue and said Hilliary raised the issue?

          • Yep. He did. But he said it only in passing when he was putting out his theory that Hillary is fibbing when she pretends to not want any further role in government (she recently said not interested in Sec. of State again, Sec. of Def., presidency). He was talking about Soros being closer to Hillary. But it didn’t make a lot of sense because, if so, why did Barry suddenly become the Golden Boy with the lying purple lips? He said something like, remember that Hillary is the one who started the birth certificate thing. Then he said a deal was made. So I wonder if he meant that Soros and Barry made a deal and then Soros made a deal with Hillary to step aside for the time being? It wasn’t a well defined theory. If anybody listens to Beck and understands, please let us know. I don’t listen to him all the time. It came on after the show I was listening to, and I didn’t get up to change the station. It’s too early in the morning for me to let Beck freak me out (like he usually does. He’s probably right, but sometimes I prefer denial.)

      • Evidently the BUM BO is HATED everywhere in the world now. I am just glad that he won’t be in the US giving another SPEECH FULL of LIES.

President Barack Obama has cancelled a public speech he was scheduled to deliver Sunday in a Rio square during his upcoming visit to Brazil, the US embassy in Brasilia said. The speech in the historic plaza known as Cinelandia, in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, “is cancelled,” an embassy spokeswoman told AFP.

Obama instead will deliver remarks at Rio’s Municipal Theatre, the official said, without specifying whether it would be open to the public or exclusively for invited guests. No explanation for the change of venue was given by the embassy. Brazilian authorities have laid out a heavy security presence for Obama’s two-day visit to South America’s largest nation, and police in Rio had closed numerous streets from midnight Thursday in preparation.

On Thursday, members of an advance US security team were seen inspecting the surroundings of Cinelandia, where anti-US banners could be seen hanging from a road-side fence.

Some social and union groups have declared Obama a “persona non grata” and called for a protest, accusing him of a “bellicose policy of occupation” in foreign countries, and of attacking people “in the name of the war on terror.”

        • He’s a known chicken. 🙂 Even his Irish-American “relatives” disavow him. Wouldn’t you?

          • I am an Irish American and the thought that MISCREANT has Irish blood SICKENS ME. I am just glad that none in my family ever consorted with the WHITE IRISH TRASH Dunhams.

            • I don’t think he’s related to any Irish person, meself included. Or you! I doubt that BHO Sr. “consorted” with any Dunham female. It’s lies. All lies.

I don’t think he’s related to any Irish person, meself included. Or you! I doubt that BHO Sr. “consorted” with any Dunham female. It’s lies. All lies.

Almost everything about BO is a lie.

        • So he is going..just not speaking in the public square. Now its a theatre – that makes sense for the actor he is. Where did all the love go?

    • I have serious doubts about whether there’s a shred of decency, integrity, or honestly left in the lamestream media. But that’s just me.

Does Katherine Nakamoto’s description of little Barry sound like the Barry we see today? HEAVY BUILD? Hardly. He’s a twerp. He must have always been a twerp. The photos of that heavily built child are exactly WHY we have so many doubts about this person who’s sitting in the WH. Who is he? Nobody knows, as The Donald says. Let me guess that in the kindergarten photo, Barry’s wearing that exact outfit that the teacher now, nearly 50 years later, seems to remember. Am I right? I haven’t checked yet. How long until they bring up Babs, again? 🙂

    • Donald Trump expresses doubts over President Obama’s birth
      Friday, March 18, 2011

Donald Trump has some doubts concerning President Obama’s place of birth. The New York billionaire and potential Republican presidential candidate seemed to defend the “birther” movement, expressing doubt over Mr. Obama’s place of birth.

“Everybody who gives even a hint of being a ‘birther’ … even a little bit of a hint … they label them as an idiot,” Mr. Trump said. “The reason I have a little doubt — just a little — is because he grew up and nobody knew him,” the Donald added. Mr. Trump made the comment while traveling aboard his private Boeing 727.

The comment is likely the biggest endorsement for the movement. A number of states are considering measures aimed at requiring presidential candidates to present birth certificates before placement on a ballot. The measure has yet to pass, however, Oklahoma is pushing ahead with a measure that may pass in the coming weeks.

      • Thank you, Donald Trump. Can anybody seriously call Donald Trump an “idiot” or a loony conspiracy theorist? He’s one of the wealthiest self-made persons in America. He’s smart. He’s logical. He’s a straight talker.

So watch for them to attack The Donald, shortly.

    • Okeey dokey: Didn’t earlier stories say that “Alice Sakai” was Barry’s kindergarten teacher? Now there are as many as 81 stories talking about The Donald and mysteriously (or not) there’s no archive of that story about Nakamoto in the WayBackMachine, nor is it currently “available” at the Maui paper archives. How freaking convenient. I’m still looking into this, but it’s mighty curious. I did look and it appears that Barry is wearing a long-sleeved white shirt in the one kindergarten photo that was variously supplied by Sakai or Nakamoto. You can’t see from the photo what kind of shoes he’s wearing or whether he has shorts on, but none of the other boys do. Why would a kid wear long sleeves, in Hawaii, with shorts? Does that kid in the photo look like he’s heavy-built?

Now, wait a minute. I was trying to find the story in the archive at Maui News, but the link from the political ticker blog works. So here’s more from that story, while I can see it:
      JANUARY 21 2009:
“As student teachers, it never occurred to Aimee Yatsushiro or Katherine Nakamoto that a cute 5-year-old from their first teaching experience would become president one day, actually the first African-American president.

“You tell students all the time you can be whatever you want to be when you grow up,” Nakamoto said. “And now here’s Barack Obama. He’s president. Who would have thought?”

Yatsushiro, a retired teacher from Kahului, served as a student teacher from September to December 1966 at Noelani Elementary School on Oahu. Her supervising teacher was Kazuko Sakai, the primary educator for about 25 students in a kindergarten class that included a boy named Barack “Barry” Obama. [So she’s also Alice and Barry had three kindergarten teachers. Gee, I had but one. How about you? Well, he is special, after all.]

“He was a cute, likable, heavy build-child,” Yatsushiro recalled. “I could visualize Barry smiling, dressed in his long-sleeved, white shirt tucked into his brown Bermuda shorts, and wearing laced shoes.” [Yeah, I could, too; I saw the same photo.]

Nakamoto, also a retired teacher now living in Wailuku, coincidentally was assigned to the same kindergarten class, only this time from January to June of 1967. Nakamoto said she never used a nickname for the student. “We called him Barack. . . . He was very well mannered, respectful, confident and independent.”

Both women were filled with pride Tuesday morning as they watched the inauguration and festivities unfold on television.

“I don’t cry very easily,” Yatsushiro said. “But today I had tears. It was very moving. Obama did a good job, and it was an excellent presentation.”

Nakamoto said she woke up as she does most mornings at 4:30 a.m. and stayed glued to the TV for much of the day. “It was all so nice and very impressive.”

Comparing notes with each other, Nakamoto and Yatsushiro described Obama and his kindergarten classmates as a “wonderful group of children.”

“Barry Obama and the rest of his class were an impressive bunch of children who made us want to teach. They’re a lot of the reason we decided to continue and be teachers.”

Nakamoto’s teaching career started on Oahu where she taught for five years. She retired in the year 2000 from Wailuku Elementary School after more than 31 years of service with the Hawaii Department of Education. [Does this add up? 1967 she’s teaching Barry at Noelani. 2000 minus 31 equals 1969. I guess that’s why the reporter says “more than”. How convenient.]

Yatsushiro spent all 28 years of her teaching career at Haiku Elementary School where she retired in 1995.

Both Nakamoto and Yatsushiro hadn’t thought about Obama and their student teaching experiences with his kindergarten class until early last year when they saw him on TV and learned of his candidacy for president.

Soon after seeing Obama on the Oprah television talk show, Yatsushiro pulled out a spring 1967 kindergarten class photograph that Sakai had mailed her [Sakai died in 2006] with a note about how the children were still talking about their former student teacher.

In the photograph, Nakamoto stands immediately behind a 5-year-old Obama.

“He (Obama) was always nicely dressed,” Nakamoto said as she looked at the old photograph recently. “He wasn’t outstanding in any way like being naughty or anything. I just remember him being confident, like the way a president should be.” [Gag me with a poi spoon.]

Yatsushiro and Nakamoto said they’ve never talked to Obama since his grade school days, but the personality he displays in public very much mirrors what he was like when he was in kindergarten.

“He was a good listener from the time he was little,” Yatsushiro said. “I remember him always smiling and observing, just watching all the time, smiling and observing. He didn’t have to be the center of attention.” [Now I know it wasn’t Barry.]

“I think he’ll make a good president,” Nakamoto said. “I just feel like he’s not afraid. That’s how he was when he was small and that’s how he is now.”

Both women said they voted for Obama.

Their hopes are that he’ll bring peace to the United States and the world. [Tell that to Libyans.] His toughest job will be to turn around a sagging economy. “It’ll be very challenging for him. Poor thing,” Yatsushiro said.

“Though people say he doesn’t have much experience, I think he has the spirit to make a fine and intelligent president,” Nakamoto said.

Neither of the retired teachers have any plans to visit Obama in Washington, D.C.

It would be nice just to meet him one day,” [I thought she already met him.]Yatsushiro said. “I’d love to shake his hand.”

Yatsushiro and Nakamoto, both 64[quite young for teachers, back in ’66-’67; would they even be done with college?], became close friends during their teaching days on Maui. Their sons have become best friends and the two have spent many times enjoying special occasions over the years like birthdays and weddings.

Nakamoto and her husband, Francis, have four children and six grandchildren. In her spare time, Mrs. Nakamoto takes sewing and bunka (Japanese embroidery) classes at Kaunoa Senior Center and helps to care for her grandchildren. She was a substitute teacher for a number of years.

Yatsushiro and her former husband, Vance, have two children and one grandchild on the way. She serves as primary caregiver of her 92-year-old mother and is active with the Alpha Delta Kappa teachers sorority and as a board member of the Haiku Living Legacy Project. She’s also coordinated the Mental Health Association on Maui’s annual poster contest for children.”

      • Conveniently dead? “Kazuko was born on June 10, 1927 and passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2006.

Kazuko was last known to be living in Honolulu, Hawaii.”

        Honolulu Advertiser obit:
“KAZUKO SAKAI, 79, of Honolulu, died Dec. 24, 2006. Born in Ho-nolulu. Retired teacher from Noelani Elementary School. Survived by brother, Hiroshi; sisters, Grace Botelho and Helen Yaka; nieces and nephews. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary; service 10 a.m.; private inurnment. Casual attire.”

        • i wonder how the survivors mentioned in the 2006 obit are doing these days. hopefully everyone’s still dressing casually. so to speak.

~ and btw~ who believes that kid is barky?

          ~ bwahahahaha “WayBackMachine ”

O Timeline!! o meya maya … good stuff! Miri!

      • Where the photo was introduced:

“I [Kelli Abe Trifonovitch] acquired the picture below from Winifred (Wakai) Otaguro, who was in Ms. Sakai’s kindergarten class at Noelani Elementary School in 1967. Otaguro’s mother, Betty Wakai, had written the names of most of the kids in the class on the back of the picture. Her writing identifies the first little boy in the third row as “Barry Obama.” Obama’s sister Maya Soetoro-Ng confirms that the boy is Obama, however, the Department of Education has been unable to find his records.”

But wouldn’t it be interesting to SEE the back of the photo, where Ms. Wakai, it is said, wrote Barry’s name? Ain’t gonna happen, is it? Let me guess, also, that Ms. Wakai is conveniently dead.

This all sounds AS IF it’s a setup to make the case that Barry was still in Hawaii and wasn’t Lolo’s son until he was older than 5.

We’re supposed to believe that these two “student teachers”, each of whom taught Barry’s class for only a few months, but at different times in the same one year, REMEMBER him from among all the kids in the class? Do you remember EVERY kid that was in your kindergarten class? Do you even clearly remember all of your teachers?

We’re also supposed to believe that although they each taught Barry a few months in that same year, but not together, they only later on became BEST FRIENDS, Obama supporters, on another island altogether. And that instead of getting that photo from the 2008 business magazine story, one of them independently pulled out a copy that Sakai sent her? But wait! They remember details of little Barry that EXACTLY MATCH the photo, but they didn’t REALIZE the candidate Obama was the same kid? What would you more likely remember? The child or the NAME, especially considering how different it was from the names of all the other kids in Hawaii? And of course, Sakai, the actual teacher, is conveniently dead and the Dept. of Education can’t find supporting records to back up these memories. I wonder if the current stories mention THAT? The fact that there’s no documentary evidence? The fact that somebody asked for it and it can’t be found! Isn’t that more news worthy, when considering Trump’s allegation, than the unsupported memories of two women who voted for Obama?

        • We’re also supposed to believe that although they each taught Barry a few months in that same year, but not together, they only later on became BEST FRIENDS

          yo Miri, yeah you are…

  3. Gingrich hits Obama on tournament picks
    March. 17 snips

(CNN) – Newt Gingrich is the latest Republican to pile on the criticism of President Obama over the college basketball fan-in-chief’s participation in March Madness bracketology.

In a tweet Thursday, the likely presidential candidate said Obama is “hiding from his job behind NCAA picks.” “We need a commander in chief not a spectator in chief,” Gingrich continued.

    • Why are they using such violent rhetoric? Isn’t that beyond the pale? Aren’t they the ones who lecture us about that? Gingrich HITS Obama?

It came to me this morning that what we ought to do is make a swap. Whoever’s the head of the NCAA can be POTUS and Barry can go head up the NCAA.

Whoever the guy is, he HAS to be a better leader, more accomplished, more experienced, and smarter than Barry. Even if not, I bet he’s at least a NBC and far more loyal to this country than he who squats in the WH now.

      I suppose I’m correct:

  4. Obama award for ‘deep commitment’ to transparency postponed
    March 16

The White House postponed an event scheduled for Wednesday afternoon where President Obama was supposed to receive an award for a commitment to transparency due to unspecified “changes to the president’s schedule.” The award was to be presented by organizers of the Freedom of Information Day conference in conjunction with “Sunshine Week” for the president’s “deep commitment to an open and transparent government—of, by, and for the people.”

The Associated Press reported this week that despite pledges of increased transparency, the Obama administration last year responded to fewer Freedom of Information Act requests than the year before. In 2010 there were 544,360 requests filed at the 35 largest government agencies. The AP reported that the administration “refused to release any sought-after materials in more than 1-in-3 information requests.”

The Obama administration has developed a reputation for ruthlessly prosecuting whistleblowers for leaks to the press.

    • This award was another joke wasn’t it? He was filling out brackets and couldn’t be bothered to receive another undeserved award! ROFL at the idea..I want to see him get the award so we can make him a bigger laughing stock than he already is! The King of Transparency!

Who has been prosecuted for whistle blowing?

  5. Gosh…those Obamas are all such great writers. Order early. These will be flying off the shelves! The Queen of Arugula!

First lady to write book about White House garden
    Mar. 16

NEW YORK (AP) — There’s a new author in the White House: Michelle Obama. The first lady has signed with the Crown Publishing Group for a book about the garden she started on the South Lawn of the White House and the benefits of healthy eating.

  6. Slainte (Cheers!) everyone. The last St. Patrick’s Parade I saw in NYC was in 1968 and Senator Robert F. Kennedy was marching up Fifth Ave. Next to where I was standing with a friend, a bunch of kids from St. John’s U. or Fordham was sitting on the sidewalk getting loudly smashed and being obnoxious and Kennedy shot them the dirtiest look I ever saw with those headlight-like blue eyes of his. He was dead less than three months’ later.

  7. New O’Keefe tape shows George Soros has donated to NPR before last year

New O’Keefe tape shows George Soros has donated to NPR before last year In conservative James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas’s third major National Public Radio (NPR) sting tape release, Betsy Liley, the taxpayer-funded radio network’s director of institutional giving is heard saying controversial left-wing billionaire George Soros has donated to the organization before last October’s $1.8 million gift. Liley mentioned that Soros and his organization decided they didn’t want on-air publicity for their donation to avoid conservatives’ scrutiny.

“George Soros and the Open Society Institute gave us $1.8 million, and they have decided not to use on-air credits because of what’s happening in Congress,” Liley said. When the man she thought represented the fictitious Muslim Brotherhood front group asked her how Soros’s donation and “what’s happening in Congress,” relate, Liley said conservatives tried to link Soros’s donation to Juan Williams’s firing.

  8. Explosive new post by Leo Donofrio:

It’s complicated. It concerns his last post about how some are trying to redefine NBC-ship as requiring only one citizen parent. Leo found that someone misquoted a passage about NBC-ship in a SCOTUS brief. Whilst investigating that, he ran across the fact that the Immigration Reform Law Institute, which filed the brief with the misquote, are also instrumental in drawing up that interstate “compact” about POTUS eligibility, with regard to the AZ Senate bill. That compact that would try to do an end run around the Constitution. You have to read it all to see how complicit these people are and what asshats, too. Go get ’em, Leo! I love that guy!

  9. Not to panic folk’s, Dr. Jane Orient, president of Doctors for Disaster say’s – that low doses of radiation might even be good for you !!!

Plume Of Radiation Moving Toward California Is Not Dangerous
    March 17, 2011 11:14 AM

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — Risks from possible radiation exposure remain greatest for the workers scrambling to cool reactors at a Japanese nuclear power plant.

Those who have been evacuated from the site are considered safe, as are the 39 million people who live in the greater Tokyo region.

A plume of radiation from Japan is expected to arrive in Southern California Friday, but health and nuclear experts say there is absolutely no cause for alarm.

Los Angeles County emergency officials are prepared with radiation detection equipment, but the plume will be diluted over its journey across the Pacific Ocean. Officials say it will not be dangerous for California or the rest of the United States.

Those assurances, however, haven’t stopped some from making their own preparations, including instructions on how to make your own radiation fallout meter.

Dr. Jane Orient, president of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness tells KNX 1070′s Tom Haule that low doses of radiation might even be good for you.

But there is still panic in Japan.

There were two main threats Thursday from the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant in northeastern Japan: one from the reactor cores and the other from the spent fuel pools beside them. Both have emitted elevated amounts of radiation.

But experts have repeatedly said that those who have moved away from the site are safe.

Live Radiation Monitoring From West LA On USTREAM

    • Wouldn’t straight, direct, truthful news be great? This is like the swine flu scare…putting people on the West Coast into panic mode. What are the democrats planning now? Since they never, never let a crisis go to waste! Japan’s crisis becomes ours. Of course, the incompetent Jarrett administration does nothing to put our citizens at ease about the situation.

    • Let Jane have them then…

  10. Incompetent Jarrett administration. I LIKE THAT! YOU ROCK!

  11. Read an interesting article about a lot of things, including the MB. Excerpts, not the entire article, which is well worth reading in full:

“… Islam. We were assured that it was a religion of peace immediately following September 11. President Bush, a good man, believed or was persuaded that true Islam was not that different from Judaism or Christianity. He said in a speech in October 2001, just a month after the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon: “Islam is a vibrant faith. . . . We honor its traditions. Our enemy does not. Our enemy doesn’t follow the great traditions of Islam. They’ve hijacked a great religion.” But unfortunately, Mr. Bush was trying to understand Islam as we would like it to be rather than how countless devout Muslims understand it.

Organizationally, Islam is built around a belief in God or Allah, but it is equally a political ideology organized around the Koran and the teachings of its founder Muhammad. Whereas Christianity teaches that we should render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto God what is God’s—allowing for a non-theocratic political tradition to develop in the West, culminating in the principles of civil and religious liberty in the American founding—Islam teaches that to disagree with or even reinterpret the Koran’s 6000 odd verses, organized into 114 chapters or Suras and dealing as fully with law and politics as with matters of faith, is punishable by death.

Islamic authorities of all the major branches of Islam hold that the Koran must be read so that the parts written last override the others. This so-called theory of abrogation means that the ruling parts of the Koran are those written after Muhammad went to Medina in 622 A.D. Specifically, they are Suras 9 and 5, which are not the Suras containing the verses often cited as proof of Islam’s peacefulness.

Sura 9, verse 5, reads: “Fight and slay the unbelievers wherever ye find them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war. But if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them . . . .”

Sura 9, verse 29, reads: “Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of truth, even if they are of the 40 people of the Book, until they pay the jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.”

Sura 5, verse 51, reads: “Oh ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors; they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them for friendship is of them. Verily Allah guideth not the unjust.”

And Sura 3, verse 28, introduces the doctrine of taqiyya, which holds that Muslims should not be friends with the infidel except as deception, always with the end goal of converting, subduing, or destroying him.

It is often said that to point out these verses is to cherry pick unfairly the most violent parts of the Koran. In response, I assert that we must try to understand Muslims as they understand themselves. And I hasten to add that the average American Muslim does not understand the Koran with any level of detail. So I am not painting a picture here of the average Muslim. I am trying to understand those Muslims, both here in the U.S. and abroad, who actively seek the destruction of America.

Here at home, the threat is posed by the Muslim Brotherhood and its organizational arms, such as the Council on American Islamic Relations, the Islamic Society of North America, and the various Muslim student associations. These groups seek to persuade Americans that Islam is a religion of peace. But let me quote to you from a document obtained during the 2007 Holy Land Trial investigating terrorist funding. It is a Muslim Brotherhood Strategic Memorandum on North American Affairs that was approved by the Shura Council and the Organizational Conference in 1987. It speaks of “Enablement of Islam in North America, meaning: establishing an effective and a stable Islamic Movement led by the Muslim Brotherhood which adopts Muslims’ causes domestically and globally, and which works to expand the observant Muslim base, aims at unifying and directing Muslims’ efforts, presents Islam as a civilization alternative, and supports the global Islamic State wherever it is.”

    Elsewhere this document says:

The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the means. The Ikhwan [the Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes . . . .

Now during the Bush Administration, the number of Muslims in the U.S. was typically estimated to be around three million. The Pew Research Center in 2007 estimated it to be 2.35 million. In 2000, the Council on American Islamic Relations put the number at five million. And President Obama in his Cairo speech two years ago put it at seven million.

In that light, consider a 2007 survey of American Muslim opinion conducted by the Pew Research Center. Eight percent of American Muslims who took part in this survey said they believed that suicide bombing can sometimes be justified in defense of Islam. Even accepting a low estimate of three million Muslims in the U.S., this would mean that 240,000 among us hold that suicide bombing in the name of Islam can be justified. Among American Muslims 18-29 years old, 15 percent agreed with that and 60 percent said they thought of themselves as Muslim first and Americans second. Among all participants in the survey, five percent—and five percent of the low estimate of three million Muslims in America is 150,000—said they had a favorable view of al Qaeda.

Given these numbers, it is not unreasonable to suggest that the political aims and ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood represent a domestic threat to national security. It is one thing to have hundreds of terrorist sympathizers within our borders, but quite another if that number is in the hundreds of thousands.</strong> Consider the massacre at Fort Hood: Major Nidal Malik Hasan believed that he was acting as a devout Muslim—indeed, he believed he was obeying a religious mandate to wage war against his fellow soldiers. Yet even to raise the question of whether Islam presents a domestic threat today is to invite charges of bigotry or worse.”

    • I reported elsewhere that there is no real number for the number of Muslims in the U.S. CAIR continues to increase the number without any statistics to prove their claim. The article I read stated that in the U.S. they comprise LESS THAN 1 % – yet they are in the news and using public relations to stay in the news. Less than 1% compared to 85% Christians. That LESS THAN ONE PERCENT is trying to dictate to us. Their billions of believers are in other countries not here.

      • Maybe CAIR counts the ones who sneak across the border, pretending to be “only” illegal alien Mexicans.

  12. Why are there no comments by the MSM about Obama’s upcoming vacation to Rio...yes, indeed, he has worked so hard. He needs another vacation. Did anyone expect him to stay at the White House and lead the country while the world is going haywire?

What is wrong with this picture?

  13. Thanks for telling us about that. I heard Hannity make a crack about it last night, but I was reading the paper at the same time and didn’t hear details. The usual suspects were defending Barry’s NCAA obsession, his golfing while Rome burns, and something about another vacation. RIO? For goodness sake? Carnival, or did he miss it already? MO will fit right in with her appropriately big bum. That’s all the rage in Brazil. Women have booty enhancement surgery. They do, indeed. Can you believe it? Not that Barry’s gonna be ogling. Looney Lula da Silva’s gone now, so who will he hang with? Do they have a new Marxist in office yet?

    • Isn’t Brazil the country that we gave the huge oil “loans” to…that turned out to have been heavily invested by Soros just prior to the loan. The money was for deep water oil drilling…and it happened at the same time Obama imposed the moratorium on the Gulf for the same thing. Petrobras?

      • Found this comment by Leza. https://wtpotus.wordpress.com/2010/04/11/things-really-are-getting-crazy/comment-page-1/#comment-10011

There’s something goofy about the comment search function because I know we talked about da Silva before, but this is one of the few comments that showed up.

      • Soros invested in Petrobras just before Obama approved the loan..is that insider trading? Such a coincidence. And now Obama goes to Rio for a vacation!

President Obama Finances Offshore Drilling in Brazil –

The U.S. is going to lend billions of dollars to Brazil’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras, to finance exploration of the huge offshore discovery in Brazil’s Tupi oil field in the Santos Basin near Rio de Janeiro. The U.S. Export-Import Bank tells us it has issued a “preliminary commitment” letter to Petrobras in the amount of $2 billion and has discussed with Brazil the possibility of increasing that amount.

        • That’s right! Tanks, again. So Brazil will bail Barry out just in time for 2012. They’ll send the oil and our gas prices will go down. Barry won’t allow drilling here, it will make Brazil richer, it will make our industries poorer, and will more fairly redistribute the wealth, while saving our resources for whatever country ends up coming to claim them. Or for the Native Americans, when Barry redistributes land.

  14. Did somebody link this yet? The latest by the so-called WH insider. For what it’s worth:

Sorry if it was linked somewhere else. I don’t have time to check, but it’s worth reading, I suppose.

    • It was on the other open thread.. but Something is not right with this usurper is ok to repeat. Something is not right with this pres. Something is not right with this pres. Something is not right with this pres.

  15. Do we dare hope that it’s true about Rahmbo wanting revenge on Jarrett?

    • I think he is in too deep to do anything. He could cause a problem once they are out of the WH. I am thinking about his involvement with Fannie and Freddie and the amount of money he walked away with, as well as with the Blago problem. If one talks, they all go down.

  16. So himself is trippin’ off to the Old Sod in May:

Oh, and they dyed the WH fountain green but I bet it’s for environmental whackos and not for Irish pride. He’s not Irish, anyway. I’d bet anybody some boiled potaters on that FACT.

Oh, and they’ll be havin’ a little party tonight, in honor of St. Paddy’s Day. Here’s a bit o’ good news, tho:

“The festivities come as a new study discovered Obama has 28 living relatives sharing his Irish ancestry – but some of his newly discovered kin said they aren’t eager to share a pint with him.

“I really don’t like to claim a relationship to Obama,” Roma Joy Palmer, 66, of Mulvane, Kan., told The Associated Press. “He is not my favorite President.

“I don’t have anything against him personally, but I don’t think we have the same agenda.”

    Join the club, Roma!

    • I’ll raise ya a Cabbage wedge Miri! New Relatives when no one knows who he is…a joke! He’s Irish? Ha–and exactly what documents did they use to come up with his heritage. Genealogy requires original documents to even begin..are they using Obama’s book as a document or the COLB from the internet?

Wowee… another trip..another vacation.. in May… announced just today…to Ireland! They saved the best news for last! And what the heck, why not another party! Our military will be bombing Libya..and Obama will be drinking green beer! So impressive. Aren’t you impressed? What a guy, what a pres! Never a low profile for this guy!

By the way isn’t it racist to have a day specifically for the Irish? What about us that don’t have a drop of Irish in us? Shouldn’t there be a dedicated day for the Germans, French, Dutch, Sweds, Finns etc.,…I mean really..I want to protest! But to my Irish friends, I’m with you in spirit..s.

      • I’ll take that cabbage wedge, and raise you a rutabaga. 🙂

Original documents? Somebody wrote a post about that! https://wtpotus.wordpress.com/2010/10/20/kissing-cousins-who-do-we-think-he-is-open-thread/

I would, indeed, LOVE to know what documents these “genealogists” from Ancestry.com used to verify their facts. I wonder if it’s the same “study” that is referred to in my post? How can there be only 28 living relatives of this Falmouth Kearney?

        • I raise you two carrots and call!

Forgot you had written that great article. I think the “new” relatives names should move to that article too. I’d like to see the genealogists who verified this information put their credentials on the line for the information they are pushing to be true. Harry Reid (a Mormon and from Utah) presented Obama with a genealogy book right after Obama was elected. I questioned it then and do now.

          • I fold!

I posted that link at the end of my article. I should have mentioned the names of the new cousins, too. I checked over on Ancestry.com to see if there IS a new “study” on their blog or website about Barry’s Irish kin. I see stuff about Rosie O’Donnell (We can watch her family tree unfold tonight! We can see if it runs in the family.)

I saw something about Barry’s GERMAN relatives, but nothing about these Irish-American people. You can tell they’re Irish because they’re smart enough to disavow him. 🙂

There was that story about him being related to Palin and Rove and then that other old one about him being related to Buffet.

I now renew my challenge to Ancestry.com:

NAME THAT GENEALOGIST. As Bridgette, says, let’s see them put their “credentials” on the line.

I forgot that you had written this article, in which we already hashed and rehashed the stuff we’re hashing again on the SS# thread:

          • I’m picking this up over on that other thread. Found another story, more relatives, and that it was the “usual suspect” who did this new study. Anastasia Harman, the same “lead family historian” who did the Rove/Palin story, without documentation:

  17. But he’s not your kin, anyway, Roma Joy, so don’t get your Irish up. He’s not worth another t’ought.

  18. And a special St. Paddy’s Day wish to my Irish sister, Princess Papooski. Thinking about you today, lass!

  19. The Security Council just voted for a Resolution to implement a No Fly Zone over Libya and other necessary solutions. It was approved 10 – 0 with 5 abstaining (Brazil, China, Russia, China and India). Now that they did that..how will they implement it? Who will do the fly overs? Now that the rebels are losing city after city to Gadaffi and the council procrastinated..what good will it do to go in at the end? It will probably take the Council another 3 -4 weeks to decide how to implement it when it may no longer be necessary and the civil war has ended. So then Gadaffi takes back his country, his oil fields, and kills all the rebels…then what?

It will be interesting to see whose military planes go first..what country will step forward? Gadaffi has threatened to shoot down any outside interference from any country. He will cleanse his country of rebels!

    • European forces are to be first to fly over. What will the Left say about Obama attacking Libya? Code pink..another war? Rev. Wright and Farrakhan.. your buddy being attacked? Grandma Sarah – what will you do when you need a medical check-up? And Soros put so much money into that group that was advertising the goodness and greatness of Gadaffi to the American people..money right down the drain. Oh, and Hillary’s buddy was helping with that Gadaffi makeover too.

    • This may be moot if Gadaffi really says there is now a cease fire in his country. Still..did Obama consult with Congress about the No Fly Implementation?

Senator Lugar: No-Fly Zone Requires Congressional Declaration of War
      Mar. 17

(Foreign Policy) — The top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee argued against implementing a no-fly zone over Libya on Thursday, and also said that Congress must pass a formal declaration of war if the Obama administration decides to take that step.

“In this broad context, if the Obama administration decides to impose a no-fly zone or take other significant military action in Libya, I believe it should first seek a Congressional debate on a declaration of war under Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution,” Lugar said.

Lugar’s stance against imposing a no-fly zone puts him at odds with committee chairman John Kerry (D-MA), who supports the move.

  20. Obama Heads to Rio Sunday; Maximum Security Awaits
    Mar.14 snips

President Barack Obama will take his first official trip to Brazil this weekend where he will speak in the popular Cinelandia Square in downtown Rio de Janeiro. …Obama’s speech will be free and open to the public. Obama is popular in Brazil.

    • Cancel the Latin America Trip

      by Keith Koffler on March 17, 2011, 10:06 pmhttp://www.whitehousedossier.com/

We are going to commit an act of war tomorrow. It’s not a casual thing.

President Obama should be in the country. Who knows if Qaddafi has some kind of sleeper cell here waiting to act, or if things might go wrong somehow over Libya?

Politically, the sight of him reviewing some kind of Samba receiving line while we are launching bombs at Libya ain’t gonna go down well, especially if there are problems.

I hate to put it so bluntly, but it’s only Brazil, Chile and El Salvador he’ll be visiting. They can wait.

      Send Biden and reschedule.

  22. Republican senators uneasy with Obama’s nominee for OMB deputy director
    March 18, 2011

Republicans on the Hill are taking President Obama’s nominee for deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as a sign the White House is not serious about cutting spending. Heather Higginbottom..

“President Obama has nominated Ms. Higginbottom for a critical position at a critical agency at a critical time,” said Sessions. “Yet she has a remarkable absence of relevant experience. Instead, her experience is political – such as her work on the Obama presidential campaign.”

    • Obama’s OMB nominee admits proposed 2012 budget does not pay down deficit

President Obama’s nominee for deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) tried, but failed to defend the proposed budget for fiscal year 2012 in a Senate Budget Committee hearing Thursday afternoon.

Obama’s nominee, Heather Higginbottom, crumbled under questioning from Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama, ranking member of the committee, about the accuracy of statements the president and OMB Director Jacob Lew have made that the proposed budget will not add to the national debt. The more than six-minute long questioning consisted of numerous exchanges that saw Higginbottom trying to dodge direct questions regarding the impact the president’s budget would have on the national debt:

      The video..

    • Well, my, my my, Trevor Loudon investigates and again comes up with an answer. Obama nominated another Marxist!

      Heather Higginbottom’s Socialist Connection

      Friday, March 18, 2011 Snips

The photo above shows Heather Higginbottom, while serving as a legislative assistant to Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, addressing an October 30, 2001, Boston Democratic Socialists of America organized forum “Welfare, Children and Families: The Impact of Welfare Reform”, with William Julius Wilson, Dottie Stevens, Jack Clark and Bob Haynes.

The panelists were all known socialist affiliates:

Despite its relatively innocuous name, Democratic Socialists of America is a radical Marxist organization that believes, according to Democratic Left, Spring 2007, page 9 :Our goal as socialists is to abolish private ownership of the means of production.

DSAers work closely with the Communist Party USA and the pro North Korean/Cuban Workers World Party. One former D.S.A. leader, Kurt Stand is still serving seventeen and a half years in jail, for spying for the former German Democratic Republic and the Soviet Union.

Should Heather Higginbottom be asked to explain her Democratic Socialists of America connection?

    • hey, i wonder where that name leads to…. 🙂

  23. Bill would require local schools to report bullying of students with disabilities to federal government
    03/17/2011 |

While the Department of Education continues its crackdown on mean-spirited taunting on Facebook, some members of Congress are joining the fight in Washington’s War on Bullying with a new bill aimed directly at kids who target students with disabilities.

Rep. Jackie Speier, California Democrat, will introduce a bill that would require schools to report incidents of bullying against children diagnosed with conditions like Down syndrome and Aspergers to the federal government. It would also mandate that any federal dollars that promote anti-bullying programs focus partially on that group.

Kids will be kids..but don’t handle the problem at the local level…call the Feds instead! Where are the adults? Throw the book at the bullies! Let the Feds have a record of the bully! Obama and the dems to the rescue..after all, he was the guy with the funny name and big ears..he wasn’t immune to bullying..but he and his ilk could write a new book on the how to’s..oh, that was already done by Alinsky.

    • So what are bullies supposed to do? Ask first before bullying? “Hey, kid. Do you have Asperger’s? No? Okay.” Smash! How ridiculous. Instead of “bullying”, why don’t they promote general common courtesy and civility? If a kid doesn’t have a “disability”, is it then okay to bully that kid? Barry’s a bully. Let’s report him.

  24. FDIC Sues WaMu Executives, and Wives
    MARCH 18, 2011

The wives of Washington Mutual Inc.’s two top executives when the nation’s largest thrift collapsed in 2008 were accused by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. of illegally moving cash and houses into trusts in an effort to shield the assets from legal claims.

The allegations, made in a federal-court lawsuit filed Wednesday in Seattle, are the latest sign of how the FDIC is ratcheting up the pressure on executives and directors at financial institutions that failed during the crisis. The suit is the sixth filed by the FDIC stemming from 350 bank failures since the start of 2007.

The collapse of WaMu under a mountain of bad mortgages was the biggest bank failure in U.S. history. The suit accused former Washington Mutual Chief Executive Kerry Killinger, President and Chief Operating Officer Stephen Rotella and David Schneider, the company’s former home-loans president, of negligently going on a “lending spree, knowing that the real-estate market was in a ‘bubble.’ ”

As of March 15, the FDIC’s board had authorized the filing of lawsuits seeking to recover $3.57 billion from 158 officers and directors of failed banks. Lawsuits were filed against former directors and officers of about one-fourth of the 1,800 institutions that died in the savings-and-loan crisis of the 1980s and 1990s.

  25. Did Gadaffi cave? He did under Bush! Now 31 days into the war..and the UN Resolution yesterday…he calls for a ceasefire?
    Breaking News
Libya declares ceasefire after UN resolution
    Fri Mar 18, 2011

TRIPOLI, March 18 (Reuters) – Libya declared a ceasefire in the country to protect civilians and comply with a United Nations resolution passed overnight, Libyan Foreign Minister Moussa Koussa said on Friday.

“We decided on an immediate ceasefire and on an immediate stop to all military operations,” he told reporters. “(Libya) takes great interest in protecting civilians,” he said, adding that the country would also protect all foreigners and foreign assets in Libya.

    • The only country in the Middle East that Obama picks on is Israel. How long after three Palestinians scrape their knees on a Merkav would it take for the Arab/Muslim run UNSC to issue a resolution condemning Israel as the “occupying power under the Geneva Convention for disproportional force and….blah…blah…blah”…..” to which my response would be FU, UN!

Ghaddafi knew Obama’s Black Muslim father, MX, and two Black Muslim preachers, Wright and Farrakhan.

Did anyone who is not liberal really think Obama would act against him before the UN did?

Y’kn,w, Miri, Bridgette, et al. – we are getting infinitely smarter while the liberals continue to get dumber and dumber.

Especially one big, fat tub of lard liberal in particular.

      • Alright. You got me, Dr. P. WHICH “big, fat tub of lard” are you talking about, in particular? I can think of SO MANY of them!

  26. By request, I’m going to move a few comments I made from the SSN post to this open thread…

Guess who spoke in Duke Chapel yesterday?

    The Ground Zero Mosque Imam!

    Conversation with Imam Feisal Rauf

    When: Thursday, March 17, 2011 12:00 PM

    Where: Duke Chapel

Description: The Faith Council is sponsoring a conversation with Imam Feisal Rauf, the founder of the Cordoba Initiative.

    Sponsor: Duke Chapel
Contact Information: Sapp, Christy Lohr (919) 684-2909
    Categories: Religious/Spiritual

These idiots don’t seem to understand that Cordoba was the capital of the CALIPHATE, and the goal of the Cordoba Initiative is to re-establish a world-wide caliphate.

Much more info can be found in a post I wrote a while back:

Michelle Obama’s trip to Spain was not “Tone Deaf”,
it was Pitch-Perfect… to the Cordoba Initiative.

And what about holding true to the original intent of Duke University’s founders?

The aims of Duke University are to assert a faith in the eternal union of knowledge and religion set forth in the teachings and character of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; to advance learning in all lines of truth; to defend scholarship against all false notions and ideals; to develop a Christian love of freedom and truth; to promote a sincere spirit of tolerance; to discourage all partisan and sectarian strife; and to render the largest permanent service to the individual, the state, the nation, and the church. Unto these ends shall the affairs of this University always be administered.

And while there is a Center of Muslim Life at Duke, that is not where the Imam is speaking… he’s speaking in the Duke Chapel instead. Why do you think that is?!? Would the Imam like to see Duke Chapel one day converted into another victory mosque?!?

    • Renee,

      You might find this interesting…

Doris Duke Charitable Foundation Gives Historical Archives to Duke Libraries

Inventory of the Doris Duke papers on the Shangri La residence, 1932-2003 and undated

Traveling through many Muslim countries and parts of India during her honeymoon, Doris Duke was fascinated by Islamic cultural traditions, art and architecture. A visit to the Taj Mahal inspired Duke to eventually commission plans for the house she built in Hawaii. Duke engaged the architectural firm of Wyeth and King to design her Hawaiian home, and architects Marion Wyeth King and H. Drewry Baker worked closely with Duke to design the home, with Duke providing sketches and photographs of buildings and architectural details she had seen during her travels. Throughout her life, Doris Duke enthusiastically designed and redesigned her home and gardens, and in 1965 made a codicil in her will directing her executors to organize a foundation to manage and maintain Shangri La for the study and understanding of Middle Eastern art and culture.

The collection tells the story of Shangri La, the most intimate of Doris Duke’s residences. While the collection spans the years 1932 to 2003, the materials primarily begin in 1936, with correspondence relating to early discussions of architects to design Shangri La in what was then the U.S. Territory of Hawaii, and end in the mid to late 1990s with materials related to the handling of the Estate of Doris Duke after her death in 1993. The materials primarily detail the design, construction, decoration, and furnishing of Shangri La and the routine business matters of its daily operation.

      • I find it interesting that both James Buchanan Duke and George Washington Vanderbilt II were men who:

        1) Had a very strong faith in Jesus Christ

        2) Were very successful businessmen

        3) Built chapels with their own money for others to use and enjoy

        4) Had only one child… a daughter

        5) Seem to have failed in passing their strong faith on to their daughter

        6) Succeeded in passing their wealth on to their daughter.

The daughters then went on to use that wealth to support “progessive” causes.

    • Redpill, I moved it also to the research thread. I want to work on this a bit too. Good comment.

    • Why do they keep giving these people a microphone and a podium..to show how accepting we are as a country and as a people? To show we are willing to listen to those who have opposing views to us?

Yes, it is a question as to why they didn’t speak at their “Center” ..perhaps the chapel could hold more people. Well, we know God was in charge at the Chapel.

I believe in Free speech, but I really would like these people silenced and taken out of the news…except then we wouldn’t know what they are up to. They have massive monies available for advertising and PR.

  27. I’m moving a long comment from the SS# thread to here. It was a response to comments by Kathy and Bridgette about the timing of the 2008 economic crisis and John McCain’s reaction. Here’s my response:
You know, that’s one thing that NEVER made sense to me–how they ridiculed McCain for leaving the campaign to return to Congress to vote. One would expect that they would point out that, yet again, Barry was missing important votes, was diddling during a crisis (as now), and was unconcerned about the possibility of economic collapse. That was indicative of how he “rules” today. Off to Brazil. Who cares about the impending MILITARY ACTION against another MUSLIM country? The irony of all of this is making my head spin. WHY aren’t the usual suspects screaming about this impending war in Libya?

I heard Glenn Beck this morning say that Cass Sunstein and George Soros were instrumental in helping to rehabilitate Gaddafi’s image, so that may be why the foot dragging by Barry. Plausible, especially if there are links to Soros, and there probably are. Occam’s Razor would say it’s more likely that thugs stick together.

Beck reminded me that the new ruler of Brazil is a Marxist who herself was once an anti-government “freedom fighter.” Birds of a feather. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dilma_Vana_Rousseff

“The daughter of a Bulgarian immigrant father and a schoolteacher mother [Dilma Jane da Silva; so any relation to Lula?], Rousseff was raised in an upper middle class household in Belo Horizonte. She became a socialist during her youth, and following the 1964 coup d’état joined various left-wing and Marxist urban guerrilla groups that fought against the military dictatorship. Rousseff was captured and jailed between 1970 and 1972 and reportedly tortured. After her release, Rousseff rebuilt her life in Porto Alegre with Carlos Araújo, who would be her partner for 30 years. Both helped found the Democratic Labour Party (PDT) in Rio Grande do Sul, participating in several of the party’s electoral campaigns. She became the Secretary of the Treasury of Porto Alegre in the Alceu Collares administration, and later the Secretary of Energy of Rio Grande do Sul under both Collares and Olívio Dutra administrations. In 2000, after an internal dispute in the Dutra cabinet, she left PDT and joined the Workers’ Party (PT). In 2002, Rousseff joined the committee responsible for the energy policy of presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who after winning the election invited her to become Minister of Energy. In 2005, a political crisis triggered by a corruption scandal led to the resignation of Chief of Staff José Dirceu. Rousseff took over the post, remaining in office until March 31, 2010, when she left in order to run for President. She was elected in a run-off on 31 October 2010. She is the first female elected President of Brazil, in addition to being the first economist elected for the office. A week later, Rousseff was included in the Forbes’ list of the most powerful people in the world, at the 16th position.”

Oh, she has a lovely biography. Do read it all.

Here’s the reason Barry’s going to Brazil to meet with now President, former ENERGY minister, Dilma:

So who gets one of the few leases Barry’s handing out? The state-owned oil company of Brazil, headed up by a Commie/Marxist.

“Washington has given Petrobras America Inc. permission to start oil and gas production in the Gulf of Mexico, a regulator said.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement gave Petrobras approval to use a floating production storage offloading facility at its Cascade-Chinook project in the Gulf of Mexico.

The approval marks the first time FPSO technology will be used in U.S. waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The oil and gas project is about 165 miles off the coast of Louisiana in 8,200 feet of water. The FPSO has a production capacity of 80,000 barrels of oil and 16 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.”

    • What’s good for Brazil and Soros is not good for the US.

    • I thought News reported that he wasn’t going to Brazil on the St. Pat Open Thread.. have they changed his mind once again? Now that Libya is under control by the UN..he is free to give his speech where people just love him or so the writer of the article said. Will they pay people to fill up the people’s town square? When the going gets hot..Obama leaves the country to go on a much needed vacation.

Hillary’s pal that quit a month ago was also involved with Cass Sunstein and George Soros in manufacturing a new image for Gadfly. That organization was Moniter ? Begins with an M. Soros pops up everywhere. I pray it is time for God to eliminate him in his own way. His evil spawn has spread throughout the world.

    • Here’s the reason Barry’s going to Brazil to meet with now President, former ENERGY minister, Dilma:

So who gets one of the few leases Barry’s handing out? The state-owned oil company of Brazil, headed up by a Commie/Marxist.

“Washington has given Petrobras America Inc. permission to start oil and gas production in the Gulf of Mexico, a regulator said.

    • Miri, di Silva…

      • Miri, This name…
The daughter of a Bulgarian immigrant father and a schoolteacher mother [Dilma Jane da Silva; so any relation to Lula?], Rousseff was raised in an upper middle class household in Belo Horizonte.

  28. I don’t know if he’s going or not. Beck was talking as if he is going, but that was this morning. He may have changed his mind, once he saw how the wind was blowing. If he’s going to start a war, maybe he would rather get out of Dodge, where nobody can ask inconvenient questions like, hey, Barry: why are you attacking a Muslim country?

It may not look so good for the president to leave the country while a nuclear crisis rages in Japan, the United States and its allies consider an attack on Libya and the two parties battle it out over the budget.

“The White House doesn’t have a lot of luck with these foreign trips,” Riordan Roett, director of the Latin America program at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, told Politico.

    • The hotter it gets, the scarcer he makes himself. It’s his M.O. (and I don’t mean that big-bummed person).

Speaking of which, I read this article by an avowed gay man. Here’s an excerpt from an interview of him:

“You recently attended an antibullying conference at the White House. Did you meet the President?

“No. But I was 20 feet away from him and the glamour supernova that is Michelle Obama. It’s staggering how charismatic and beautiful she is. It takes a lot for a woman to ping onto my radar like that.”

Doesn’t he mean his gaydar? Is it surprising to you, that of all women in the world, MO would “ping” him. Just sayin’

      • Miri,

Perhaps this gay blade, like BO, has a thing for UGLY MEN in DRAG.

Remember BO’s first sexual experiences were with his Gay Nanny and that HIDEOUS Gay Mentor of his Frank Marshall Davis.

        • Now you put your finger right on it! Exactly what came to mind when I read that. I actually did a double take. Had to go back up to the top and make SURE this guy admitted that he’s gay. So of course, he’d think MO is a glam “gal”. Why not?

I do remember the transvestite nanny and the “mentor” FMD, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he had those experiences. Or to say that he didn’t.

Of course, Mr. Sinclair gives eye witness (and other body-part witness) testimony to such experiences; but FMD and gay nanny are mum.

          • Remember Lame Cherry’s photo of MO that is in photos? Answers the question.

I always heard that “beauty was in the eye of the beholder.”

All this beautiful talk about MO was one of the left’s attempts to change the definition of normally understood words to mean their exact opposite. A normal, honest, and understood comment would be,
she is as ugly as sin, or yowser, she got hit with the ugly stick.

Did I let the cat out of the bag? Meow.

          • Of course, you’re right again, Bridgette. Ugly stick? Rowwrrrr! 🙂

Haven’t you known since you were a kid that anytime people have to repeat and repeat and repeat something like this (that she’s the most beautiful First Lady) that the EXACT opposite is more likely what they’re really thinking, but they don’t want you to know it? Political correctness and wishful thinking combined. He’s a genius. She’s beautiful. It’s too much. The Emperor and Empress HAVE NO CLOTHES.

They think that if they say it often enough, we’ll believe what they say and doubt the evidence of our own eyes.

If that were Sarah Palin or Laura Bush wearing those get-ups, in your wildest dreams could you imagine the media (and GAY MEN) calling it glamorous? She looks like a refugee from That 50s Show (if there were one).

The hairstyle? The Supremes! What can I say? Motown all the way, but hey. This is the 21st century, isn’t it?

What gets me is that, considering her age, she’s far TOO YOUNG to be hanging on to those old styles. Surely that’s not what she was accustomed to wearing in a past life.

Even I, were I not the fashion plate that I am and instead hung onto the styles I wore as a yuppie, would be wearing big-shouldered power suits, not those June Cleaver outfits.

I’ve run out of snarks. 🙂

          • Is this another like the photo to which you refer?

          • Ohhhh, this gem is to die for!

          • What IS that, right in the front?

Okay, a few more snarks. I don’t want to say anything about the kids, so I will direct it at the parents: Short shorts do not seem appropriate given the occasion (see the photo at Drudge of the family debarking AF1). Secondly, she almost gave it ALL away with this “shot”:

I’m not specifying the type of shot. Now we get a shoulder, if the outfit requires the other bicep to be hidden.

Someone at Free Republic just pinged me to an entire thread on this topic. They have many other pics. They must have had a separate cargo plane just for the numerous outfits for each female in the party. Mother Robinson was there, too. Isn’t that wonderful? A vacation for the whole family to Brazil. Do they play musical chairs, too? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2691278/posts?q=1&amp;;page=101

  30. Evidently TEPO and the Government has decided against dumping concrete on the reactors for now.

Reporters in Japan raised the notion Friday of sealing the reactors and fuel rods in concrete as an emergency measure. But officials with Japan’s nuclear safety agency and the plant’s operator did not embrace the idea.

“We believe it is not a realistic option,” said Hidehiko Nishiyama of the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency. And Teruaki Kobayashi, a manager at the Tokyo Electric Power Co., said the utility would not rule out entombing the reactors but thinks the probability is low.

  31. Remember BO wants to give billions to TEPCO to build and operate nukes in the US

I don’t know the law in Japan, so I can’t tell you if Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) can plead insanity to the homicides about to happen.

But what will Obama plead? The Administration, just months ago, asked Congress to provide a $4 billion loan guarantee for two new nuclear reactors to be built and operated on the Gulf Coast of Texas — by Tokyo Electric Power and local partners. As if the Gulf hasn’t suffered enough.

  32. Judge put a restraining order on Wisconsin’s new law re Unions! Can we guess if that judge is a paid democratic stooge? The State will appeal, of course. The shame is on the liberal judge and liberal district attorney. (Oh she left on vacation after the ruling! The get out of town card as used by the democrats in Wisconsin and by Obama himself!)

Hold on tight Gov. Walker. Just pass the bill again and it will be done.

WASHINGTON – National Guard troops that have helped beef up security along the southwestern border since last summer will leave as planned by the second week of June, the commander of the Arizona Guard told a House panel Tuesday.

You know that an American administration has proven useless and ineffective for supporting liberty and freedom in oppressed countries when even France… France… takes the lead in recognizing a struggling, independent liberty movement. Such is the case in Libya where French President Nicolas Sarkozy has recognized and supported the Libyan rebels struggling to over throw Libyan dictator Gaddhafi.

For his part, President Obama, the man that is supposed to be fulfilling the role of the “leader of the free world” is attending school bullying pressers and secretly supporting fleebagging Democrats in Wisconsin while practically turning a blind eye to the Libyan rebels fighting for their lives.

With little more than the skills of a community organizer when he was elected president, Mr. Obama’s dithering on Libya as the rebels face defeat, is turning off many, not the least his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

In a recent interview almost at the end of a mid-east mission, Clinton said she would not serve a second term, even if Obama wins in 2012.

“Obviously, she’s not happy with dealing with a president who can’t decide if today is Tuesday or Wednesday, who can’t make his mind up…”

Nuclear crisis in Japan, a civil war in Libya and where is the President? Heading for Rio de Janeiro

Where is the President?’ former presidential speechwriter John Podhoretz wrote in the New York Post.
‘The world is beset. Moammar Khadafy is moving relentlessly to crush the Libyan revolt that once promised the overthrow of one of the world’s most despicable regimes. So where is the President?
‘Japan may be on the verge of a disaster that dwarfs any we have yet seen. A self-governing nation like the United States needs its leader to take full measure of his position at times of crises when the path forward is no longer clear.

This is not a time for leadership; this is the time for leadership. So where is Barack Obama?’ he added.

Rush Limbaugh also fumed on his syndicated radio show: ‘We got the world on fire. We got Libya and the Middle East on fire and the guy’s out playing golf,” he said, referring to the round Mr Obama played on Sunday.

Showing a Woeful Lack of Leadership, Is President Obama Overwhelmed? Is He Hiding from Reality? Or Is He Just Concerned About Himself as His Detractors Are Saying?

But Obama’s critics have a different take. They say he’s exhibiting a failure of leadership on a whole range of matters, symbolic and substantive, ranging from his lukewarm support for a Libyan no-fly zone to his willingness to let others, especially Republicans, take the lead on entitlement reform.

A compendium of clips sent to reporters by the Republican National Committee on Tuesday was headlined: “Hiding from Reality: Obama’s noticeable lack of leadership illustrates a president looking out for himself above all others.”

And Obama may have given opponents another talking point by following through, despite the alarming news from overseas, on a promise to appear in a nine-minute ESPN segment to share his NCAA basketball tournament picks. (Video: Obama completes his NCAA bracket)

“Most people when it comes to Obama, you know what they’re anticipating? His NCAA brackets,” Rush Limbaugh fumed on his syndicated radio show Tuesday. “Every year at this time people wonder what the president’s brackets are going to be, who he’s gonna pick?

“We got the world on fire. We got Libya and the Middle East on fire and the guy’s out playing golf,” he added, referring to the round Obama played Saturday. (See: White House responds to bracket gripes)

Republicans say one compelling reason for Obama to stay home, is to work on an elusive long-term budget deal – with a confrontation looming on April 8 when the just-completed three-week stopgap funding measure expires.
