Obama’s Anti-Israel Agenda

By Jeffrey Kuhner
February 18, 2011

President Obama is siding with Israel‘s enemies. He is slowly fracturing America’s long-standing alliance with the Jewish state and leaving it isolated on the world stage.

The administration recently told Arab governments Washington will support a U.N. Security Council resolution that stipulates the world body “does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity.” The move is almost unprecedented. America has almost never publicly criticized Israel – our best friend in the Middle East and the region’s only genuine Western-style democracy – at the U.N. The reason:   The organization is dominated by anti-Semitic, anti-American dictatorships obsessed with condemning the Jewish state. Israel is lambasted constantly while the rampant human rights abuses of other countries – especially Arab regimes, Russia and China – are barely noticed. The United States has opposed this double standard – until now.

The result will be to drive a wider wedge between Washington and Jerusalem. Israelis rightly will conclude that Mr. Obama is willing to betray a pivotal pro-American ally in order to appease the “Arab street.”  Radical Islamists also will realize that Washington’s support is fickle; their dream of driving the Jews into the sea no longer seems unattainable.   In fact, now it is entirely possible.

Mr. Obama‘s decision to betray Israel should come as no surprise. He is a privileged liberal who reflects the values and prejudices of the academic left. The cultural milieu of his intellectual formation was steeped in hatred of America and the West. His father was an anti-colonial socialist determined to destroy European imperialism. His mentor was Frank Marshall Davis, an avowed communist. His pastor was the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, a black nationalist known for his Jew-baiting. His seminal intellectual influences were revolutionary Marxists such as Frantz Fanon and Edward Said. They championed the belief – prevalent among college radicals – that Israel symbolizes Western subjugation of Third World peoples. In their view, it is a militaristic, quasi-fascist state based on oppression and Zionist expansion. In other words, for the hard left, Palestine is a continuation of the anti-imperial struggle – a mass movement for liberation from Western occupation. That is why progressives have only two real enemies: the United States and Israel.

During his presidency, Mr. Obama has appeased and emboldened radical Islamists. He has apologized for America to the Muslim world. He has prematurely withdrawn U.S. troops from Iraq, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. He has undermined President Hamid Karzai‘s government in Afghanistan, enabling the Taliban to make significant inroads. He has turned a blind eye as Turkey becomes increasingly Islamic and Hezbollah has taken control in Lebanon.   In 2009, he did not lift a finger – or even say a word of encouragement – to the Green pro-democracy movement in Iran. When it came to supporting the secular, pro-American demonstrators of Tehran, Mr. Obama was stone silent.  In fact, he publicly said Washington should not “interfere” in Iranian “internal” affairs. Even today, as brave Iranian democrats battle the forces of tyrant Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president cannot muster the indignation he demonstrated toward former Egyptian autocrat Hosni Mubarak. Mr. Obama refuses to demand that the Persian strongman step aside – as he did with the Egyptian pharaoh.

The fall of the Mubarak regime signifies a major victory for the Muslim Brotherhood.   Egypt’s military is in control. The top brass has promised to hold elections in about six months. The Brotherhood is the most disciplined, organized and effective political force on the Nile. It is the oldest modern Islamist movement in the Middle East, comprising a vast underground that has been patiently waiting to seize power. The Brotherhood is the future;   secular moderates are the past.

The Brotherhood aims to erect an Iranian-style theocracy. Its founder, Hassan al-Banna, sought to imitate the fascist movements of the 1930s. Instead of desiring a world dominated by a German master race, he wanted a global caliphate – the restoration of an Islamic empire stretching from the Middle East to Europe.   Last year, the Brotherhood‘s supreme guide, Mohammed Badie, said that the defeat of Israel and America could only occur “by raising a jihadi generation that pursues death just as the enemies pursue life.” The Brotherhood is a mortal threat to Israel and to the West.

Rather than confronting this ugly reality, the administration insists on whitewashing the Brotherhood‘s true intentions. Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper recently claimed that the Brotherhood was “largely secular.” At a Senate hearing on Wednesday, he said the group had no “specific agenda” and was “heterogeneous,” consisting of multiple political wings. Mr. Clapper is a liar and should be told to resign.

The Brotherhood has one primary goal:   the destruction of the Jewish state.  Its leaders call for scuttling Egypt’s 1979 peace treaty with Israel. The group openly glorifies Mr. Ahmadinejad and Iran‘s one-party, fundamentalist regime.  Its Palestinian branch is Hamas, which is dedicated to the extermination of the Jews.   By abandoning Mr. Mubarak, Mr. Obama has paved the way for the radicalization of Egypt. Israel now faces the specter of being strategically encircled by anti-Semitic bellicose states – Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Bashir Assad’s autocracy in Syria and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.   Behind them stands Iran. Mr. Ahmadinejad is inching closer to acquiring the nuclear bomb and fulfilling his vow to “wipe Israel off the map.”

The Jews are reliving the nightmare of the late 1930s. Except this time, it is Islamic fascism that threatens their very existence. They were alone then, and they are increasingly alone today. Mr. Obama has shown that Israel cannot count on the White House in its hour of need.

  1. The only difference between BO and Ahmedinejad is that BO is deceptive about his hatred of Jews and Americans while Ahmedinejad is blatant.

  2. Do you remember reading about this? I found it when looking for a photo of the Israeli flag. What message was Obama sending when he wanted Israel to replace their flag with one from the UN? Quite insulting in my opinion. Wasn’t Obama showing his anti-Israeli agenda five months into his presidency..when he thought he was still God?

Bibi Rejects Obama’s ‘UN Flag at Kotel’; Star of David to Remain
    05/22/09

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu vowed at the Mercaz HaRav yeshiva in Jerusalem Thursday night that the Israeli flag will continue to fly over the Western Wall (Kotel). The first prime minister in years to appear at the venerable yeshiva on Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day), he ignored U.S. President Barack Obama’s apparent trial balloon that he wants to see the United Nations flag fly over the Old City holy sites. Jordan’s King Abdullah II said the president put forward the proposal during his visit to the White House last month.

Prime Minister Netanyahu declared, “The flag that flies over the Kotel is the Israeli flag… Our holy places, the Temple Mount — will remain under Israeli sovereignty forever.”

Between 1949 and 1967, the religious sites in the City, as well as all of Judea and Samaria, had been under the control of Jordan, which forbid entry of Jews to the Western Wall (Kotel) and other holy places, as well as barring Christians from churches. Israel immediately opened all holy sites to all religions after the entire city was re-united in 1967, returning the Old City to Israeli sovereignty after nearly 2,000 years.

In his short but enthusiastic speech at the yeshiva, where an Arab terrorist slaughtered eight young students slightly more than a year ago, Prime Minister Netanyahu repeated his “Undivided Jerusalem” message. The packed study hall of the yeshiva interrupted Prime Minister Netanyahu’s short speech several times with applause. The first clap of hands was in response to the statement that Israel’s capital “never will be divided again.”

Jerusalem Day marks the day in the Six Day War upon which the Israel Defense Forces liberated the eastern neighborhoods of Jerusalem from Jordanian rule.

In an attempt to appeal to the national-religious community after years of neglect from a prime minister, Netanyahu said, “It is important for me to stay in warm communication with you. The connection with Jerusalem unites all sectors of the people, secular and religious, as one.”
    ~snip~
It was the second time during the day [Prime Minister Netanyahu] promised to keep the city united, having stated earlier in the day that “Jerusalem was always ours, will always be ours, and will never again be divided.” His speech was delivered at Ammunition Hill in memory of soldiers who fell in the Six-Day War in 1967.

  3. Obama Reaches out to PLO — Flag now Flown in US
    Jul 25, 2010

    Obama Reaching Out?

The Obama administration’s outreach to the Muslim world continued its strides forward yesterday when the State Department legalized the flying of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flag on their DC mission. The PLO was once considered a terrorist organization by the US State Department up until the Oslo Accords were signed in 1993.

Despite allowing the PLO to fly their flag at their Washington mission, the State Department denies that is has upgraded their status. They have also allowed them to call themselves the the General Delegation of the PLO, though State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley stated that, “There has been no change in the status of the Palestinian mission here in Washington. It operates under guidance provided by the State Department.” He emphasized that “It does not have any diplomatic privileges or immunities.”

Improvement in relations between PLO, US

The move came after a request by the PLO to fly their flag and change their name in accordance with policies in Canada and South America, and Crowley did note that the move symbolizes an improvement in relations between the US and the Palestinian Authority.

The policy change comes after the Fatah Central Committee, the central body governing Palestinian Authority policy, has officially endorsed a statement made by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas refusing to engage in negotiations with Israel.

In spite of this, additional gestures are expected in order to encourage the Palestinians to sit down and talk with the Israelis.
Not everyone is happy with Obama administration policy in this regard, however. Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen came out strongly against the decision. “The US rewards his corrupt, autocratic PLO with more symbols of legitimacy, treating it like a sovereign state. On the other hand, Israel continues to be an indispensable democratic ally – but the US still refuses to move our embassy to Israel’s chosen capital,” referring to repeated US refusal to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Ros-Lehtinen was very clear regarding what she thinks should be done instead. “Instead of giving more undeserved gifts to the PLO, it’s time for us to kick the PLO out of the US once and for all, and move our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, where it belongs.”

  4. See who likes Israel more than the Jews!
Survey shows Obama position at odds with most Americans

    February 20, 2011

A new survey reveals literally hundreds of millions of Americans have a strong affinity for Israel and believe the U.S. should intervene if Israel is attacked by Iran.

The poll for WND by Wenzel Strategies also documents that Christians, especially those who describe themselves as born-again believers, largely hold stronger feelings regarding Israel than do Jews. Nearly the same majority said while Israel seeks peace with its neighbors, “its neighbors are generally unwilling to agree to peace with Israel.”

“This survey gives the unmistakable impression that, in yet another area, President Obama is out of step with the mindset of the American people,” said the analysis…

Ros-Lehtinen seems to be okay except she is weak on illegal immigration.

  6. To bad we haven’t heard this from the U.S. “leader”

Canadian PM, Stephen Harper, ” I Will Defend Israel”

Canada will take that stand for Israel…no matter the cost. Those that threaten the Jewish people are a threat to all of us.

    • “Once again, the Obama Administration is missing the boat on a very, very important issue. They need to go back to the basics and acknowledge Palestinian leaders have not progressed any peace process since President Obama was elected. As Israel makes concessions (and is still criticized by the Obama Administration), Arab leaders are just sitting back waiting for the White House to further pressure Israel. The Obama Administration needs to open its eyes and recognize that it is only Iran and her terrorist allies that benefit from this manufactured Israeli controversy. Vice President Biden was actually right when he said last week, before the construction announcement, that “one necessary precondition for progress is that the rest of the world knows…there is absolutely no space between the United States and Israel when it comes to security.” Right now, thanks to the Obama Administration, there is a chasm. It’s time for President Obama to push the reset button on our relations with our ally Israel. Sarah Palin.

      http://thespeechatimeforchoosing.wordpress.com/2011/02/21/governor-palin-on-the-issues-israel/

American support for Israel stems not from historical guilt, well-heeled lobbies or other (often anti-Semitic) conspiracies, but from a fundamental alignment of interests. Such an alignment existed since the 1960s to the end of the Cold War. But U.S. and Israeli interests no longer coincide. The United States once fashioned Istarel into a bulwark against socialism. Today, America has a socialist president and Israel is a burden.
      VIVE LE CANADA !!!!

  7. Israel not Istarel pardon my irish tongue

  8. Should I also add: Today America has a Muslim President for the first time in her history instead of a Judeo Christian. Israel is a burden [to our president].

  9. To sort out all this crap, start the attack on Iran.
    Bibi, you must do it.
If you hesitate the muslim WH will destroy you
and the rest of the free world.
This is serious and you need to act now.

When ever you hear the name Al Qaeda, think of IRAN.

The treasonous 9/11 truthers always shout CIA next to the word Al Qaeda, because they are propagandists for the enemy and it is their goal to act as a distraction for the enemy.

You are witnessing the rallying cry for the the Muslim world to rise up against the USA and Israel. Plus, this is an attempt to sky rocket the cost of gas and oil. Notice Al Qaeda criticizes Saudi Arabia in this article? That is because Iran wants to topple them and I always suspected that they promised to make Bin Laden the King when that day comes.

  11. Let’s cut to the chase here. Obama raison d’être in is to eliminate the Jewish state of Israel. He was groomed, from birth onwards, to enter into US politics and to “work his way up” with a cadre of billionaires at his disposal, an obedient and obsequious US media, and an international network of anti-Israel Leftists comprising the “best” of what the Marxist, Arab, and Muslim worlds had to offer.

As Saul Ailinsky would define it, “This particular means (lie, cheat, steal, deceive, subvert, intimidate, extort) was invoked for this particular end (the destruction of the Jewish state). By whatever means possible, this cabal’s goal was to put Obama in the White House, and as his first act, to undermine the US’s 60-year relationship with Israel as a prelude to its replacement by a unified “Arab Palestine” from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.

All that was required to know this – firsthand – from the first day Obama appeared on a national political stage until he was illegally elected as President, was to objectively and unemotionally listen to what Obama said and to ask the question, “WHY did he say THAT?”

After his 2004 DNC keynote speech, the media viewed him and treated him as a Messiah who could do no wrong, who was the “hope” of American and the free world, who could bind the ties between a “racially-divided country,” and “heal the wounds of partisanship.”

People MUST go back to 2004 and read what the pundits, the press, and the professors said. It was a foregone conclusion that Obama would become President. From that day forward, they lined up to make that happen – if not implicitly, then covertly. The die was cast, EXACTLY as his collaborators had predicted and PLANNED going back 40 years.

All a person needed to do was to devote one ear, one eye, and one lobe to critically and objectively evaluating what Obama said and did, and then follow all of the EXCUSES volunteered for him by the cadre mentioned above. All of the liberal elite banded together and became the de facto processing center for all things Obama, to make sure that everyone in the country heard what they wanted them to hear.

His “wonderful” speech at the 2004 DNC came right out of the “Dreams From my Father / Audacity of Hope” can – a fictionalized AUTOBIOGRAPHY not written by its author, but by terrrorist Bill Ayers instead. A book writtten for the express purpose of interjecting Obama into the national conciousness and kick-starting his political career with a single goal in mind – the Presidency. All Obama had to do was read his teleprompter, sound like James Earl Jones on steroids, and to woo the always-ruled-by-emotion liberal lackeys.

His statement, “And I will stand with them [Arab-American Muslims] should the political winds taken an ugly turn.” His collaborators and conspirators made it their mission in the years to follow to convince people that Obama was not talking about Muslims in that line – just as they told us that Obama would be a “strong ally and good friend of Israel.”

Like the entire mainstream media and everyone who watched them, I knew nothing about Obama before 2004, but it was that line plus the earlier line (which Obama had used throughout his 2004 Senatorial campaign and his 2008 campaign in various permutations), “When an Arab-American family [in Farmington , Ill. he replaced family with,”SOME ARAB-AMERICAN”] is rounded up without due process [“Due process” was missing from other speeches or replaced by “arrested”], that threatens my civil liberties.”

Similar to Marxist 9/11 Truther Van Jones, as a show of solidarity with the Arab-American Muslim community rally after 9/11. Obama removed his flag pin, stopped singing the National Anthem and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Of course, his collaborators and conspirators attempted to change history here, too.

Then in March 2007, at a rally in Des Moine, IA, Obama said that, “Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people.”

Not the millions of non-Muslims raped, tortured, killed, enslaved, and displaced in Darfur or the Sudan. Not the millions of other non-Muslims suffering in Kashmir, Kuwait, Libya, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algiers, Indonesia, and in the “there-is-no-such-thing-as-Palestinian-territories”.

When Jewish groups were upset (or “a little concerned” if they were liberals like AIPAC), Obama’s SS told them that “he was only referring to the “failure of their leadership.”

Recall, how the LA Times, which had no problem getting a judge to unseal Jack Ryan’s divorce records in 2004, thus enabling Obama to run unopposed when he dropped out of the race, refused to release the tape of Obama at a Rashid Khalidi fundraiser, aka an anti-Israel “Palestine” love-fest, to further the myth that Obama was a “friend of Israel.”

“Friend of Israel,” is the BIG LIE, Rep. Steve Cohen, you jerkwad, “blood libel, bobble-head, let’s-compare-Republicans-to-Nazis-again” bozo.

In the first full-blown, 2008 presidential debate, Moderator Brian Williams asked Obama, “You said recently, “No one is suffering more than the Palestinian people.” Do you stand by that remark?

Obama: “Well, keep in mind what the remark actually, if you had the whole thing, said. And what I said is nobody has suffered more than the Palestinian people from the failure of the Palestinian leadership to recognize Israel, to renounce violence, and to get serious about negotiating peace and security for the region.

What unadulterated hosesh*t!!! Even Factcheck caught him on that.

But, AFTER he took the Oath of Office (or did he?), Obama went on his America Apology Tour to the Middle East.

Obama, in his “I-stole this-from-the-Doha-Compact’s-New-Beginnings” speech in Cairo, June 4, 2009, Obama repeated it his contention again:

The suffering of the Palestinian people has been intolerable.”

In Cairo and 3 months later at the Un, Obama parroted the exact wording of the Doha Compact in reference to a “Palestinian state” citing everything that the Arabs and Muslims have demanded – with not a dam thing done in return – BEFORE starting negotiations while mentioning none of Israel’s concerns.

In short, demanding that Israel commit national suicide.

From Day One of his Reign of Terror, the illegal-alien-usurper made the bogus issue of “Israeli settlements” his clarion call. Thanks to his moronic insistence on the US breaking their past agreements with Israel, and the UN on violating their own Charter and previous SC Resolutions, his fascistic commitment to deeming something entirely legal as the “Biggest obstacle to Middle East peace,” almost led to a unanimous and patently false UNSC Resolution at “Israeli settlements are illegal.”

You can name any other President you want, and none of them would have done to Israel what Obama has done and continues to do.

Obama is not just another liberal President who, like the rest of the leftwing loonies, hates “Zionists” and loves radical Islamics. He is not simply following lock-step with the majority of the hate Israel crowd in the West.

He is waging political jihad against the Jewish people. Obama has never once made mention of the 1.5 million Arab citizens of Israel. It should be crystal clear that when he says, “Israelis,” he means JEWS.

To prove that is the case, in his Cairo speech, he said that Israelis must respect the “legitimate aspirations of Palestinians, both Muslims AND Christians.” “Palestinian” Christians have been horribly persecuted in Gaza and the West Bank, every day, by their Muslim “brothers.” Christians have been fleeing the disputed territories in droves, as they have in the other Arab/Muslim countries.

The only place in the Middle East where the population of Christians has been increasing is Israel, the only country among the 22 Arab States and the 57 Islamic States (some overlap here) that is a true democracy.

If all of the Arab states had adopted a democracy like Israel in 1948, there would be no dictators, no turmoil, and no rioting in the streets – except by the people who want to overthrow a democratic government and make it a Sha’ria compliant Islamic state.

In Cairo, when Obams said that the Nazis hadmurdered 6 million Jews, Obama made sure to put this in perspective for his Muslim audience, by telling them that a single country had exterminated more Jews than are currently living in Israel – a deeply perverse comparison.

As I mentioned in my video, “Obama’s Jihad: Destroy Israel,” Obama has never said one complementary thing about the Jewish people, or the Christians, for that matter. Like the stated goals of the Doha Compact, Obama has shown concern for only one group of people, “Palestinians,” and one religion, Islam.

It could be a lot worse if Obama wasn’t such a blithering, incompetent idiot.

  12. Steve Cooper
    The Conservative Monster.com

I hope all of you are now seeing the puzzle pieces fit together like I have been trying to explain since I started this website. The Middle East seems to be the the flash point, because the goals are to strangle Israel slowly and drastically spike the price of oil to hold the USA hostage economically.

I have said over and over that this is a GLOBAL CONSPIRACY. The Marxists and Muslims have joined forces to shove the world into a major crisis via revolution, high oil prices, terrorism and war. Chaos is needed to bring this World Communist Government into place. Terrorism is being used to extort money from the USA, weaken our will to fight and to drain us financially. It is working like a charm.

High gas prices will spike food prices through the roof and this will cause people to rush to the store and horde food while it is cheap. Then the food shortages will appear and I am not the only person predicting this. Last month there were several reports from economic experts predicting food shortages and massive inflation of food prices. Today, Fox News stated that food prices will rise 4% in 2011, but I think that estimate is modest especially if oil hits $200 a barrel like Iran and Russia want it to.

The American left has been using the environmental groups as their communist proxy for many years to weaken our oil drilling capabilities so we are left vulnerable and weak. We are ripe to be smashed, because now Russia has a massive oil surplus and we do not. Russia and China are working together to shatter us via Al Qaeda, wars that Democrats undermine and economic and energy strangulation.

Now I hope you all understand when I said back in November 2010 that no election will save us and the Tea Party is 50 years too late, because you are not stopping this Marxist and Muslim tidal wave with your red, white and blue sign.

Libertarians like Ron Paul want to turn the Tea Party movement into a massive anti-war movement and this will aid our enemies, because surrender is not an option and it will not save us. They want the people to believe that we can not afford to fight wars any longer that are un-winnable. The wars are un-winnable, because our ability to use force is being restrained and that has to end. It is time to use the heavy weapons in the American arsenal and let the chips fall where they may. Our very survival and freedom is on the line and we have no choice, besides converting to communism and surrendering to the world.

We have very little time left and I refuse to waste my time sitting here repeating the same crap over and over. I know how this ends and I know how this is going to play out. It will not be pretty. Control of the food, the people and the global economy is the goal. These bastards are doing Satan’s work and this is in God’s hands at this point; not a voting booth.

I blame our parents and grand parents for not defending Senator Joseph McCarthy, Ezra Taft Benson and Ronald Reagan when they tried to warn the American people about the communist threat. Do not be fooled, because the entire crisis in the Middle East is being orchestrated by Iran and Russia to turn all Arab nations into a hot bed for terrorism, Al Qaeda and the destruction of the USA and Israel.

  13. Huckabee: Israelis Feel US Cast Them to Wolves
    Saturday, 26 Feb 2011 snips

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who recently returned from a trip to Israel, tells Newsmax that the Israelis feel “on their own” and no longer can rely on the United States under President Barack Obama. The 2008 Republican presidential candidate also says the Obama administration has mismanaged its response to the turmoil in the Middle East and has treated adversary Iran better than longtime ally Egypt.

“What I wish the United States would do first is just say openly, publicly, without apology — despite the fact that it’s politically incorrect — that Islamic jihadism is a clear and present danger to every person’s freedom on the planet who does not subscribe to radical Islam,” Huckabee says. “Because it is.”

The idea that America can coexist with radical Islam, he adds, is “utter naïve nonsense, because their goal is the annihilation of all the infidels, including all the Muslims who don’t adhere to their radical view of shariah law and to the establishment of a caliphate.”

Asked whether the Obama administration has done enough to deal with the outbreak of protests in the Middle East, Huckabee responds: “No. In fact, I think their problem is they don’t even know what’s going on. “They had no intelligence whatsoever in Egypt to understand that that was coming. They were totally caught off guard.”

Furthermore, he says, “the way we mismanaged that is that we simply sent a message to all our allies in the Middle East, not just in the Middle East but everywhere, and here’s what it said: No matter how strong an ally you have been, if you get in trouble, you are so on your own, because we are immediately going to pick who we think is going to win and jump on their tank with them.”

      To which I reply…

    DEBKAfile Exclusive Report
    March 19, 2011, 12:27 PM (GMT+02:00) Snips

IDF shows Iranian arms bound for Gaza

Israeli civilians living around the Gaza border woke up Saturday, March 19, to the most massive mortar attack in years – 50 rounds fired in 15 minutes. Two civilians were injured and substantial damage caused to property. Hamas unusually claimed responsibility, emboldened by the support it has won from a new ally, the new rulers of Cairo, which have now lined up with Syria and Iran.

The Netanyahu government has not informed the Israeli public about the ominous new winds blowing in from Cairo although they are already in motion: Cairo has given Hamas rule of the Gaza Strip de facto recognition, is about to lift the blockade on the Gaza Strip and is forging new understandings with Damascus and the Palestinian Hamas and Islamic Jihad radicals based there.

According to debkafile’s Cairo sources, the live wire behind the Egyptian policy U-turn is the new foreign minister Nabil Alaraby. Only two weeks on the job, the first tasks he set himself were to lift the Egyptian-Israeli embargo on the Gaza Strip, reopen the Fatah crossing to free passage of people and goods, downgrade relations with Israel and the Palestinian Authority led by Mahmoud Abbas, and open a new page with Syria.

The Egyptian military which has taken over in Cairo also turned a blind eye to at least two or three Iranian arms ships which, prior to the capture of the A.S. Victoria last week, made it through the Israeli sea blockade and delivered weapons, including C-704 shore-to-sea missiles at El Arish. Hamas will be free to go out and collect them through the reopened Rafah crossing.

It is now obvious that Cairo’s permission for two Iranian warships to transit the Suez Canal on Feb. 22, knowing that at least one was laden with weapons for extremists, was in line with the new Egyptian policy.

So far, Israeli forces have had no success in tracking down the Hamas perpetrators of the vicious murders of five family members at Itamar on March 11. Considering the precipitous downturn in Israel’s political and military situation and the ostrich-like reactions of its leaders, it looks very much as though Hamas is now dictating Israel’s security agenda. Hamas, backed to the hilt by Iran, Syria and now Egypt, feels it can safely intensify its warfare on Israel without being slapped down.

  16. Palestinians Don’t Want Their Children Learning About The Holocaust
    By Aaron Goldstein on 3.22.11

The Hamas government in Gaza has angrily reacted to a plan by the UN to teach Palestinian schoolchildren about the Holocaust.

Hamas Education Minister Mohammed Asqoul stated, “Playing with the education of our children in the Gaza Strip is a red line.” Well, of course it would. The Hamas narrative is that the Holocaust was cooked up the Jews themselves. Besides if Palestinian schoolchildren were actually taught about the Holocaust it might interfere with their daily chants of “Death to Israel!!!” and “Death to the Jews!!!” during recess.

The Palestinian Authority government in the West Bank also opposes the UN plan. This should also come as no surprise. Let us not forget that the “moderate” Mahmoud Abbas wrote his doctoral thesis on Holocaust denial describing the deaths of six million Jews as a “rumor.”

  17. Jerusalem explosion victims were completely covered in blood
    23.03.11 Latest update 18:00

Eyewitnesses give accounts of the scene moments after bomb explodes in central Jerusalem; paramedic who rushed to scene of the blast says he saw two women unconscious and covered in blood.

Emergency services were still scrambling Wednesday to deal with the aftermath of a bomb that exploded at a crowded bus stop outside the International Convention Center in Jerusalem. One woman was killed and more than 30 people were wounded in the incident, three of them seriously.

“We didn’t wait even for a second, we just got up and ran to the bus station. I saw two women lying on the ground, unconscious and covered in blood,” a medic, Motti Bukchi, told Channel Two.

  18. TIMELINE / Terror returns to Jerusalem after three-year lull
The Jerusalem bomb explosion on Wednesday in which a woman was killed and over 30 were reported wounded is one in a series of attacks that have hit the Israeli capital.
    23.03.11 Latest update 17:13

The bomb explosion at a Jerusalem bus stop which left one woman dead and over 30 wounded on Wednesday was the most recent event in a series of terror attacks against civilians that have taken place in Israel’s capital in the past years.

However, Wednesday’s bombing came after a relative three-year lull in the capital.

  19. Facebook faces accusation of facilitating Israel invasion
$1 billion damages sought for alleged death threats

    April 01, 2011 Snips

Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, has announced that he has launched a lawsuit against Facebook and its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, for allegedly facilitating jihad against Israel. It seeks damages of up to $1 billion.

WND reported earlier this week on strategies that were being developed on Facebook pages for thousands of people worldwide to “return” to the original homes of their families in “Palestine” on May 15. The movement’s plans call for this to be much more than just a visit, however.

“All the families of Jewish settlers in the Galilee area, including in the areas of Safed, Tiberias, and all the way down to Acre, must proceed to the port of Haifa and board ships back to their countries of origin in Europe,” explained one posting that is part of the campaign.

Now Klayman, who explains he is of Jewish descent, said the campaign also has included “Third Intifada” pages “which threatened Jews in particular with death,” which has made him a “target of this call to kill Jews.”

“Over the course of the last week, defendants were asked to take this Third Intifada and related sites down, but refused,” he told WND in a statement. “Only in the last few days did they do so, after increased pressure was exerted by the Israeli government. “However, the damage had already been done and it is believed that this and other pages will soon reappear on Facebook” Klayman alleged.

The complaint alleges assault and negligence, including willful and wanton conduct, gross negligence and recklessness, “as it has put Mr. Klayman’s life at risk.” “While Facebook has accomplished a lot of good, it can, as in this instance, be used for nefarious and evil purposes. Defendants Zuckerberg’s and Facebook’s callous and greedy actions in not taking down the page, but willfully allowing it to stay up for many days, has caused huge damage, for which they must be held accountable, so as to prevent this from ever happening again.

    • Just what Helen Thomas ordered! Was this one of the Marxists’ preplanned strategies that Helen accidentally talked about to the media and for which she was fired? Remember that she wanted all the Jews to go back to their homes. Appalling! I pray for you Israel. You are surrounded by evil.

  20. From Trevor Louden – We are very optimistic and have great expectations of what is to come. I hope this editorial is widely circulated. Western military resources are being risked and tax money being wasted to “liberate” Libya. The West has stood by, even offered encouragement, while Islamic and socialist extremists have toppled or endangered several pro-Western, or moderate regimes in the Middle East.

Al Qaeda Magazine Praises Middle Eastern Revolutions – Warning to the West
    April 1, 2011

“Inspire” is an English language online magazine reported to be published by the organization Al Qaeda
in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). The English language glossy magazine is extremely well produced and is aimed at U.S. and European audiences.

The magazine is thought to be the work of Anwar al-Awlaki, an English-speaking cleric and al-Qaeda leader based in Yemen. Awlaki is currently on the United States’ “kill or capture” list.

The editorial in Inspire’s March 2011 issue, signed by one Yahya Ibrahim, analyzes recent turmoil in the Middle East, and consequences for Al Qaeda, Israel and the West.

Al Qaeda sees the recent uprisings across the region as opening up new opportunities to attack Israel.

Al Qaeda and the Arabic community or “ummah” plan to “meet” in the sacred Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

The editorial does not make comforting reading, for those who think “democracy” is sweeping the Arab world”.

The cover of this issue is about the Tsunami of change that is sweeping the Arab world. With the removal of the despots, the ummah will speak its voice, and when it does, it will chant: Here we start and in al-Aqsa we’ll meet.

The biggest barrier between the mujahidin and freeing al-Aqsa were the tyrant rulers. Now that the friends of America and Israel are being mopped out one after the other, our aspirations are great that the path between us and Al-Aqsa is clearing up.

There could be no freeing of Palestine with the presence of the likes of King Abdullah to the East, Hosni Mubarak to the West and al-Saud to the South. Now
that Hosni is gone, we heard the Imam of the Friday prayers praying: “O Allah we ask you to allow us to meet in al-Aqsa,” and the millions in Tahrir square roared with one voice: Âmîn.

The issue of Palestine is central to the Muslim ummah and now that the masses have spoken, there is no doubt that it will be back to the forefront.

The friends of the West are leaving, the issue of Palestine will be back on the table, the preaching of jihad for the defense of the Muslim ummah will be heard publicly in societies that have freed themselves from the tyrants, and we pray that the heavy handed security measures imposed by the despots to keep America and its allies safe and keep their populations terrorized will be over.

The West has publicly stated its support for the revolution of the masses. But do they really mean it? Or is it because they do not realize the reality of what is happening? Or is it just because they feel that they must join the bandwagon?

The West also believes that the revolts are bad for al Qaeda. This is not the
case. Why would the freedoms being granted to the people be bad for al Qaeda? If freedom is so bad for al Qaeda, how come the West has been practicing a restriction in the freedoms of expression when it comes to the message of the mujahidin? Why does the West ban the spread of books and talks of the al Qaeda leadership and in some countries consider it to be a crime to be in possession of such material? Why did the U.S. request from a site such as YouTube to take off lectures by Shaykh nwar al-Awlaki?

Another line that is being pushed by Western leaders is that because the protests in Egypt and Tunisia were peaceful, they proved al Qaeda – which calls for armed struggle – to be wrong. That is another fallacy. Al Qaeda is not against regime changes through protests but it is against the idea that the change should be only through peaceful means to the exclusion of the use of force. In fact Shaykh Ayman al-Zawahiri spoke in support of the protests that swept Egypt back in 2007 and he alluded to the fact that even if the protests were peaceful, the people need to prepare themselves militarily.

The accuracy of this view is proven by the turn of events in Libya. If the protesters in Libya did not have the flexibility to use force when needed, the uprising would have been crushed.

It is our opinion that the revolutions that are shaking the thrones of dictators are good for the Muslims, good for the mujahidin and bad for the imperialists of the West and their henchmen in the Muslim world.

These revolutions are not about “democracy”. They are about bringing anti-Western extremists to power in every nation in the region. Israel, and other Western nations could suffer horrendous consequences if this madness is not reversed.

We should take our enemy at his word.

      • You’d think their neighbors would want to emulate Israel instead of destroying them. The Muslim dominated countries have contributed to the world … how? Obama said they have in some of his speeches (so we know that is a lie) …show us their fine contributions to medicine, science, or anything. If I recall they created a fantasized history of their contributions. Right now they are known for jihad..so I guess they are into their own version of eugenics as they attack their own and others. That is a worthwhile enterprise and a worthy contribution. I guess that is where the jobs are.

Where are all of those freedom loving and peaceful Muslims living? Where are those that denounce the backwardness and evil preached by the imams? Where is their voice?

Pray for Israel for she and its people are now totally surrounded by evil. And that evil is also within our own government. Obama and his friends are helping to isolate Israel. As our anti-American, usurping, conman of a leader said, he will always side with the Muslims! By his actions he has proven his allegiance. Israel knows they can’t trust anything he says, and we know it too.

        • Of course he will always side with the Muslim’s because he is one. The people of Kenya have even admitted to him being a Muslim, just not a “strict Muslim”, Is there a difference? Maybe the difference is if your not a strict Muslim you pass up on watching stonings and beheadings in public.

The Muslim community in Kenya also congratulated Obama’s victory saying even though he was not strict Muslim, his respect for the religion and humanity would be instrumental in his future leadership.

  21. Al Qaeda Thinks the Arab Spring is Bad News for Israel
April 6, 2011 by John Sexton

The 5th issue of al Qaeda’s glossy English language magazine, Inspire, came out this week. I’m not going to link it because I have no desire to help them spread their propaganda. I will point out however that the opening page makes some pretty worrisome threats about what is in store for Israel:

The biggest barrier between the mujahidin and freeing al-Aqsa were the tyrant rulers. Now that the friends of America and Israel are being mopped out one after the other, our aspirations are great that the path between us and al-Aqsa is clearing up.

There could be no freeing of Palestine with the presence of the likes of King Abdullah to the East, Hosni Mubarak to the West and al-Saud to the South. Now that Hosni is gone, we heard the Imam of the Friday prayers praying: “O Allah we ask you to allow us to meet in al-Aqsa,” and the millions in Tahrir square roared with one voice: Âmîn.

Al-Aqsa is the mosque located on the temple mount in Jerusalem. There is still plenty in the magazine to indicate hatred for the West and America in particular, but this opening letter seems to indicate a focus closer to home. The recent call for a third intifada on Facebook which attracted tens of thousands of followers is an indication that, whether leading or following, al Qaeda is sensing a shift in focus among radicals towards Israel.

  22. WikiLeaks: Israel expects next war to bring 100 missiles per day on Tel Aviv
    By Ron Kampeas · April 8, 2011

(JTA) — In the next war, Israeli officials expect Hezbollah to fire about 500 missiles a day at Israel from Lebanon, including 100 that will reach Tel Aviv, leaked cables show.

A batch of leaked U.S. diplomatic cables shared with Israeli newspapers by WikiLeaks were published Friday. Summaries of conversations in 2009 between U.S. officials and Israeli intelligence officials show that Israel expects the next war with Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based Shiite terrorist group, to last two months.

Israel long has complained that U.N. pledges in the wake of the 2006 Lebanon war to stem the flow of missiles into Lebanon have proved worthless, and that Hezbollah is stronger than it was before that war.

The group, which is now a leading party in Lebanon’s government, “is preparing for a long conflict with Israel in which it hopes to launch a massive number of rockets at Israel per day,” an Israeli officer is quoted in the cables as saying. “In the 2006 Second Lebanon War, Tel Aviv was left untouched − Hezbollah will try to change the equation during the next round and disrupt everyday life in Tel Aviv.”

  23. Hamas fires 24 Grads, 50 shells Saturday. A million Israelis still in shelters
    DEBKAfile Special Report
    April 9, 2011, 6:08 PM (GMT+02:00)

Israeli tank in action against missile firing teams in Gaza

Saturday, April 9, Hamas and its allies, acting now on Hizballah guidelines from Lebanon, fired 24 heavy Grad missiles and more than 50 mortars shells at seven southern Israeli towns in an expanding radius up to Palmahim in the north. Despite bomb shelters and home guard measures, 20 Israelis were injured or suffered shock.

After 17 Hamas and other commanders were targeted in 48 hours of Israel counter-attacks, Hamas requested a ceasefire through the UN. It came from the Islamist organization’s political echelons. Israel replied the request would only be addressed only if it came from Hamas military leaders, who rather than abating their rocket offensive on the Israeli population are intensifying it.

The Palestinian missile violence Saturday began before dawn with Grad missiles exploding north of Israel’s second main port city of Ashdod, south of Kiryat Gat and outside Ofakim. Sirens warning of a missile attack were heard in Gedera and Gan Yavneh. As a million Israeli civilians spent another day in bomb shelters, four Grad missiles landed in Ashkelon Saturday afternoon.

From Thursday, the innovative Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepted five of the Grad missiles aimed at Beersheba, Ashdod and Ashkelon. Early Saturday, as 25 Palestinian mortar shells hailed down on the Eshkol district, the IDF hit a car carrying three Hamas field commanders in Khan Younis. They were all killed. debkafile’s military sources report that Israel’s defense chiefs are reassessing tactics in view of the newly ferocious level of Hamas belligerence under direction from Hizballah.

debkafile reported earlier: Friday night, April 8, more than 60 Hamas and Jihad Islami mortar shells and missiles hit Israeli towns, villages and farms on the Israeli side of the Gaza border and injured a civilian. This heightened Israeli fury over Hamas’s attack on a school bus Thursday, April 7, using a sophisticated Cornet anti-tank missile for the first time. A 16-year old boy was critically wounded. This attack was followed by 50 Palestinian rockets and mortar rounds, a blitz which had not abated by Friday night despite constant Israeli counteraction.

debkafile discloses the mounting violence has more than one objective: Hamas is trying to establish new rules for the conflict on advice and directives coming from its Lebanese ally, Hizballah, to step up its barrage on Israel by 25 percent. The IDF is forced to respond to the resulting escalation in kind.

Our intelligence sources report that Hamas was advised by Hizballah to blitz Israel into relinquishing the 500-meter deep security strip the IDF established inside the Gaza border when Palestinian fire on Israel continued after it was temporarily reduced by the 2009 Cast Lead operation.

Hizballah leaders are telling Hamas they should be able to bring their forward and firing positions right up to the Israeli border, a convenience enjoyed by HIzballah on the Lebanese-Israeli frontier ever since 2000 when Israel quit southern Lebanon.

The IDF is fighting to hold on to this buffer zone to keep Palestinian terrorists back from breaching the border for direct attacks in Israel. The soldiers keep Palestinian gunmen from accessing this strip of land and impose restrictions on Gazan farmers seeking to till their fields in a strip which covers 15 percent of the enclave’s arable land. (Farmers of the Eshkol district on the other side of the border are regularly targeted for attack.)

Hamas is threatening to raise the cross-border violence until Israeli troops pull back to the border. Its anti-tank missile attack on the school bus Thursday was the opening shot of its battle for the buffer zone.

The IDF’s tactics for countering Hamas aggression remain unchanged, except in scale: In the last 48 hours, Israeli helicopters, mortars, tanks and naval units have been pounding the Gaza Strip while Hamas releases barrages of dozens of missile and mortar attacks on villages and towns – practically without pause. Israeli civilians were told to stay close to bomb shelters in the days to come. Schools, road traffic, public transport and businesses will function intermittently.

Israeli military planners are still playing the familiar tit-for-tat game which never in the past stopped the aggression from Gaza. Nevertheless, debkafile’s military sources point to some notable differences in the current round.

The Iron Dome system designed in Israel to intercept short-range rockets was experimentally deployed in the important towns of Beersheba and Ashkelon this week. Friday, the system intercepted three missiles aimed at Ashkelon, although it caught only one of several Thursday

The IDF importantly demonstrated it is fully capable of launching another major military campaign in the Gaza Strip. The broad scale of its land, sea and air reprisals since Thursday, April 7, was intended to remind Hamas and its allies, especially the Iranian-backed Jihad Islami, of the devastation wrought the enclave they rule by Israel’s 2009 Cast Lead operation.

A possible Cast Lead II was in the air after Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Thursday during a visit to Prague: Attacks on children cross a red line. Those who carry out such attacks should know that their blood is on their heads.”

On the other side of the ledger, the new rulers of Egypt are in the process of unraveling Hosni Mubarak’s peace relations with Israel – as debkafile has reported – and engaging in rapprochement with the Gaza and Damascus centers of the two radical Palestinian organizations.

Since the Israeli government has not adjusted its policies to the new developments, its military tactics are operating in a vacuum and will have little deterrent effect. The current upsurge of Hamas-Jihad aggression will therefore go on.

debkafile’s military experts maintain that the tactics of massive firepower without ground operations have run their course. There is no way to wipe out the increasingly sophisticated heavy weapons arsenal Hamas has been allowed to amass from the air. So the half a million Israeli civilians of the Western Negev and the southern coastal towns must continue to live under their shadow instead of having normal lives. Often, many cannot make it to work and schools, places of business and traffic can operate only intermittently.

Since Thursday, IDF operations have been sweeping across a broad front in the Gaza Strip from the old air field at Dahaniyeh in the south up to the northern fringes of Gaza City.

In the south, Khan Younes and Deir al Balakh took the severest beating. The former went dark Thursday night after Israeli airborne and surface missiles knocked out the local electricity grid. In Deir Balakh, a Hamas base built deliberately near a hospital took an airborne rocket, a signal that all such facilities would no longer be immune from attack.

In the Gaza City region, Israeli helicopters, tanks and naval ships bombed two main Hamas military installations – Abu Jerad and Rantisi.

The Palestinians reported 10 killed, including the commander of missile operations at the Shati refugee camp, and scores wounded, thereupon loosing off 50 missiles and mortar rounds – as usual, against civilian locations. In Ashkelon, Iron Dome intercepted its first missile Thursday, but missed the rest – scoring a partial success

For the first time in three years, Hamas appealed to Cairo to broker a ceasefire. Israeli did not bother to respond since the rulers of Gaza have violated every agreed ceasefire in the past. Hamas reached out to the new Egyptian regime following its moves towards a rapprochement and a Palestinian diplomatic initiative.
debkafile’s intelligence sources disclose that last week, the head of Egypt’s intelligence services Maj. Gen. Mourad Mowafi visited Damascus. He obtained permission from Syria’s beleaguered president Bashar Assad to meet Hamas’ political leader Khaled Meshaal and Abdullah Ramadan Salah of the Palestinian Jihad Islami and hand them an invitation to visit Cairo.

He then informed them that the new Egyptian leaders are willing to help negotiate Hamas’ reconciliation with Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah on the following basis: Hamas would accept the two-state solution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict but Egypt would not press for the second part of the formula endorsed by Washington and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, namely that “the two states live alongside each other in peace and security.”

This amended formula would leave Hamas and the other radical Palestinian organizations free to continue their violent campaign of “resistance” against Israel while making peace with the rival Fatah and gaining a Palestinian state on the West Bank.
