Holder Removed Old Glory from DOJ Website!

U.S. Justice Department’s website “redecorated” under Eric Holder!

The U.S. GOVERNMENT website for the U.S. JUSTICE DEPARTMENT has removed the traditional usage of the U.S. flag as a background and TRANSFORMED it to include the quote of a Socialist!

Could it be any clearer  as to where this administration wants to take the U.S. now?   Is there any question as to this radical  administration’s philosphy, leaning, and agenda?  Surprised?  Outraged?

QUIETLY and WITHOUT FANFARE  [in the stealth of the night] the Department of Justice has erased the American flag from its website.

This is what used to be there:

Department of Justice Original Banner

This the brand new ” transformed” website banner ordered by Eric Holder.  Note that not only has Old Glory been wiped out, but also the red, white and blue colors that used to be inside the Seal were removed.

Department of Justice's Transformed Banner

Please note the most disturbing addition at the top. The quote  says “The Common Law is the Will of Mankind Issuing From the Life of the People.” Who said this?   It isn’t from the Constitution, Federalist Papers or the Bill of Rights.  This quote is attributed to C. Wilfred Jenks, a British socialist lawyer, who was a leading figure in the “international law” movement of the 1930′s. ”

Justice Loses Its Stars and Stripes
The  American Spectator  By The Prowler  on 7.16.10

What’s black and white and “red” all over? The Department of Justice’s newly designed website.  Gone are the  standard red, white, and blue motifs, replaced by an all-black backdrop. And prominently placed on virtually every page of the site is a quote credited to a man who facilitated a greater role for socialists and communists at the U.N., and the global “workers rights movement.

“The redesigned website was launched without fanfare, but was noticed internally by several career lawyers, who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of political reprisals. “We were told that the media team and the senior leadership that signed off on the design thought that the patriotic shtick from the Ashcroft days was a bit much for an agency that isn’t supposed to be political,” says a DOJ lawyer, who inquired about the redesign. “It was a real effort not to laugh at that.  “Prominent now on the site are links to “Justice.gov en Español” and the “The Recovery Act and the Department of Justice.” But most jarring is the quote that is appears on virtually every page of the website. “The common law is the will of mankind issuing from the life of the people,” which, some DOJ staff say, is tied to a man who ushered in the socialist and communist theories that now permeate the United Nations.   Another DOJ lawyer says, “It’s taken from an inscription along one of the outer walls of the department  [“The common law derives from the will of mankind, issuing from the life of the people, framed by mutual confidence, and sanctioned by the light of reason”], but no one is sure where the quote came from.”

The quotes that ring the building were selected during the construction process back in the administration of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Some attorneys believed the quote is pulled or adapted from the writing of Sir William Blackstone, the 18th Century British jurist, who wrote the Commentaries on the Laws of England, which influenced not only British law, but also the American constitutional and legal system.

But other Department of Justice employees say the quote originates from British lawyer, C. Wilfred Jenks, who back in the late 1930s and after World War II was a leading figure in the “international law” movement, which sought to impose a global, common law, and advocated for global workers rights.   Jenks was a long-time member of the United Nation’s International Labor Organization, and author of a number of globalist tracts, including a set of essays published back in 1958, entitled The Common Law of Mankind.  Most telling: Jenks, as director of the ILO is credited with putting in place the first Soviet senior member of the UN organization, and also with creating an environment that allowed the ILO to give “observer status” to the Palestinian Liberation Organization, and to issue anti-Israeli statements, which precipitated efforts by the U.S. Congress to withdraw U.S. membership from the ILO.   The U.S. actually did withdraw in the mid-1970s due to the organization’s leftist leanings.  “It was Jenks’s efforts that helped make the ILO a tool of the socialist and communist movement,” says one of the DOJ lawyers. “We used to joke about how fitting it was that this was Janet Reno’s favorite quote to use in speeches, and now the Obama folks think it encapsulates out department’s mission.

“Suggestions to highlight quotes from the U.S. Constitution or Bill of Rights or quotes from the Founders, the Federalist Papers or prominent American jurists were quickly shot down by the Department of Justice’s media and new media teams, according to DOJ sources familiar with the design process, and the White House communications shop was given input to the overall design as well.    End.

You do have to give Holder credit.  This new logo may be disgusting, but it is also honest.  From the moment he took office as the United States Attorney General, Holder has done his best to strip patriotic Americans of their rights – whether it be the right to vote in Philadelphia or to not be murdered by a panty bomber in Detroit or an illegal alien in Arizona.  It therefore stands to reason he would also wish to strip the greatest symbol of those rights from his sight – which is why Holder’s DOJ website has now been stripped completely of any trace of Old Glory.

    The Bird
Once upon an America dreary, while she pondered Obama weary,
Over birth certificates in forgotten lore,
While she nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of someone gently rapping, rapping at her bankers door.
    ” ‘Tis some visitor,” she muttered in a snore, “tapping at my financial door;
    Only this, and nothing more……”

    Read the rest ……very special.

  2. Thank you Bridgette, for this post.

When I have looked at our flag for over 50 years…..I, never once, saw it as POLITICAL ! I see freedom and bravery and lost lives to save our Great Nation. I could say soooo much more but then, at this point, I may say more than I should !

God have mercy on our country so that those who wish to destroy it may open their eyes to Your Love and Grace.

  3. OT, the fix is in: Judge Hellerstein suddenly dismissed the appeal of the Chrysler dealers instead of proceeding with oral arguments next week as he promised. Donofrio and Pidgeon will be appealing to the 2nd Circuit Court.

    • While I would have liked to have heard the oral arguments next week, anything done at this level would have been appealed by the losing side anyway, so the net effect is that this cancellation just moves things up the chain faster. Which, in the end, is probably for the best.

    • This could be a blessing! Maybe Rattner’s new information will help them! Did you read the article about his book and its contents? I put the information on the Lovely Lady Open Thread. It appears to be scathing. Only one thing was mentioned on the news last night and that was that the WH was livid. I read comments at Huff Po and they want Rahm and others to quit!

  4. I quote LC sometimes but I worry that she is full of hyperbole without documentation

    Atlas SHruggs is very different:

Muslim Ideological Council: Obama to be named “Caliph of Muslims” “Mullah Barack Hussain Obama” “Allama Obama”

One billion Muslims can’t be wrong: Obama Muslim

Pak Minister wants Obama to be ”leader of all Muslims” MSN

Islamabad, Sep 2 (PTI) A Pakistani minister wants US President Barack Obama to offer Eid prayers at Ground Zero in New York and become the “Amir-ul-Momineen” or Caliph of Muslims.

Minister of State for Industries Ayatullah Durrani, who belongs to the ruling Pakistan People’s Party, said the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival, expected to be observed on September 11, would be a “golden opportunity” for Obama to offer Eid prayers and declare himself the leader of all Muslims.

“In this way, all the problems of the Muslim world would be solved,” Durrani told The Nation newspaper.

“Mullah Barack Hussain Obama” or “Allama Obama”

He said: “The time is approaching fast. Barack Hussain Obama must act now. This is a golden opportunity, Muslims badly need it.”

Obama’s elevation to the Islamic Caliphate would be the “key to success, he claimed but did not offer any explanation for his remarks.

”Ground Zero” is the former site of the fallen twin towers of the World Trade Center.

The caliph in Sunni Islam is the successor of Muhammad as the military, political, and spiritual leader of the Islamic community. The caliph is the center of the unity of the Muslim umma, and allegiance to him for Muslims supersedes national allegiances.

    • Wow! That needs to go on the “Shahada” post as both an update to the post and a comment below. I’ll go make it so…

    • Remember, Obama is supposed to meet with the Press Corp on Sept. 11..I am sure that is the date. I posted it elsewhere and wondered why that date. Will he send a secret message to Muslims on that day? Will his answer to this Muslim request be hidden within his answers to questions? We will have to view his speech with new eyes.

Frightening is the statement about Muslim allegiance coming before American allegiance. Didn’t he also do that by reciting Shahada? Don’t you wonder why he gets high reviews by the Muslims in other countries when his failure as a leader is being expressed worldwide?

Larger thought…whoever his handlers might be, are they now setting him up for a fall by exposing him amidst his denials of being a Muslim?

Who will be taking Major Garrett’s place that day?

  5. I remember when the enemies and/or prisoners of America were required to turn their backs to the flag when the call to colors was sounded. How sad.

  6. I have seen it, the lapel pin. He is a disgraceful SOB and I do not ask for forgiveness of my language. One prisoner ask me, years ago, “How far can I get if I run”. I said I promise you I will powder burn you. That happens within a few feet. Obama is a disgraceful SOB.

  7. “Education, sir, is the development of that which is. Since the dawn of history the Negro has owned the continent of Africa–rich beyond the dream of poet’s fancy, crunching acres of diamonds beneath his bare black feet. Yet he never picked one up from the dust until a White man showed to him its glittering light. His land swarmed with powerful and docile animals, yet he never dreamed a harness, cart, or sled. A hunter by necessity, he never made an axe, spear, or arrowhead worth preserving beyond the moment of its use.
“He lived as an ox, content to graze for an hour. In a land of stone and timber he never sawed a foot of lumber, carved a block, or built a house save of broken sticks and mud. With league on league of ocean strand and miles of inland seas, for four thousand years he watched their surface ripple under the wind, heard the thunder of the surf on his beach, the howl of the storm over his head, gazed on the dim blue horizon calling him to worlds that lie beyond, and yet he never dreamed a sail!”

  8. Could the Industrial revolution ever begin in Africa?

  9. Hey Skeeter, why would you used a quote from the KKK? Are you affiliated with them?

    • Not hardly. Why? Do you have an interest in the KKK? David Duke might be a good resource if you are interested in that sort of trash. wikipedia is about as reliable as any local weatherman, any and everyone edits that site. But to each his/her own. Have you ever read the Lincoln/ Douglas debates? If Yes, then you would know about the quote. If NO then you would not understand anyway.

      • I couldn’t find that quote attributed to Lincoln. I did find websites where people said there was documented proof that it is a quote from Abraham Lincoln but they did not cite any documented proof or give any links or references.

I found the quote in “the Clansman A Historical Romance of the Ku Klux Klan” where it is said by a character in the story during a group discussion.

Here’s the link to the book.

  10. The Industrial Revolution was a western world phenomenon. All I ask was, could it ever have happened in Africa? It hasn’t yet. The Africans are still trying to learn how to drill a water well. Obama isn’t even interested. So make of it what you wish 🙂

  11. Your focus on quotes is timely. Read this at Drudge today:

Obama’s new Oval Office rug is supposed to contain a quote by MLK which has been reported to be one of Obama’s all-time favorite quotes. Only problem: MLK didn’t say it. MLK merely quoted the original author. Hilarious! Plagiarist in chief, too?

  12. Was the “Clansman a direct quote” from Abraham Lincoln? :). That is the question I will leave up to you, the scholars of history. Not the revisionists, but the historians of facts. It was not my intentions to offend. I was simply posting a historical fact when I posted the “Clamsman”. It may not be PC but it is factually correct. What I intended to do was contrast what the likes of Obama and Holder are doing today. Where they would take US. Back to the stone age.
Could the “Industrial Revolution have begin in Africa”? NO. And it hasn’t begun even to this day, and never would/will under the leadership of the likes of Obama/Holder. The Lincoln/ Douglas debates, in my opinion was prophetic:
    First Joint Debate at Ottawa

    Mr. Lincoln’s Reply

    (August 21, 1858)

“Now, gentlemen, I don’t want to read at any greater length; but this is the true complexion of all I have ever said in regard to the instruction of slavery and the black race. This is the whole of it; and anything that argues me into his idea of perfect social and political equality with the negro, is but a specious and fantastic arrangement of words, by which a man can prove a horsechestnut to be a chestnut horse. I will say here, while upon this subject, that I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so. I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and the black races. There is a physical difference between the two which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality; and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position. I have never said anything to the contrary, but I hold that, notwithstanding all this, there is no reason in the world why the negro is not entitled to all the natural rights enumerated in the Declaration of Independence,—the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I hold that he is as much entitled to these as the white man. I agree with Judge Douglas he is not my equal in many respects,—certainly not in colour, perhaps not in moral or intellectual endowment. But in the right to eat the bread, without the leave of anybody else, which his own hand earns, he is my equal, and the equal of Judge Douglas, and the equal of every living man.”
If I have offended, please accept my appologies———– skeeter

    • No problem at all Skeeter. We look at all views and angles here.
I for one, have aquired a very open mind the last few years…

  13. Rose Marie Graft

Senators and rep. wake up and do something about this. Alot of Americans don’t agree with this.

  14. Maybe “We the People” should be “I, the government” or “you the little people”….I’m just saying

  15. Obama’s Justice Department visual acceleration to global governance
    By Douglas J. Hagmann
    5 January 2011: Snips

We are bearing witness to the historic unveiling of the Socialist agenda at its most proactive stage. A web site makeover: Much ado about nothing? The USDOJ web site makeover last July did, in fact, replace the U.S. flag banner with a solid black header that features the aforementioned quote. You might ask, so what? What’s the big deal?

First, it is critically important to get the facts correct. All of them. Then, a clearer picture will emerge of the course charted toward global governance that was initiated long ago, although is now being exponentially accelerated through the power and reach of the Obama-Holder Justice Department. You will then better understand what great legal minds like Mark Levin have been saying about the assaults on our Constitution by Obama and Holder, and what popular conservative talk show hosts like Glenn Beck have been saying about the Obama-Soros-Van Jones globalist agenda.

It is one step toward understanding and putting in perspective the Obama-Holder assault on Arizona and states’ rights, and the decision not to pursue voter intimidation charges against the New Black Panther Party. It is a step toward understanding that it is not about party affiliation, but a much larger and more nefarious agenda. It’s about understanding why former U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean were prosecuted by the Bush Justice Department in a disgusting display of favoritism toward Mexico and the push for a “non-existent” North American Union. Indeed, the list can be continued and transcends traditional political parties.

Issues like the establishment of a New World Order and the subjugation of American sovereignty to global governance, once considered “conspiracy theories” just a few short years ago, will begin to emerge as the Socialists unabashedly unveil their agenda for all to see. It can also be used as a litmus test of sorts to identify the pseudo-conservatives who insist that this is “much ado about nothing” or a distraction, like the Obama eligibility issue, from the ever elusive “real issues” of the day.

    The Quotation

Contrary to what has been reported, the quote in use by the Holder Justice Department is only a portion of the complete quotation. The DOJ web site uses the abbreviated quote: “The common law is the will of Mankind issuing from the Life of the People.” Meanwhile, the full quotation is: “The common law is the will of mankind issuing from the life of the people, framed through mutual confidence, sanctioned by the light of reason.” Obviously omitted is the latter portion, “framed through mutual confidence, sanctioned by the light of reason.”

That full quotation is etched on the east wall of the U.S. Department of Justice building. It is no coincidence that it was carved into the stone when Franklin Delano Roosevelt was president. It is also no coincidence that the quote omits what perhaps could be cited as the only “saving grace” of the saying, which refers to mutual confidence and reason. Socialism bears no mutual confidence or reason.

It is most telling that the quote has been generally attributed to C. Wilfred Jenks, a man “who facilitated a greater role for socialists and communists at the U.N., and the global ‘workers rights movement.’”In 1958, Jenks published a series of essays under the title The Common Law of Mankind, which is actually a compilation of his essays that favor the implementation of International law over the laws of individual nations. His legal writings are quite vast and complex, although his favoritism toward the integration of U.S. law under global governance is clearly evident in his writings.

The fact that former Attorney General Janet Reno used that quotation in her 2001 address to the graduating class at Cornell is also quite telling. From members of the Council on Foreign Relations from FDR through Clinton, Bush 1.0 and Bush 2.0 and now under the higher octane Obama, the globalist agenda is fast moving and becoming more visible.

    Conspiracy nonsense or peripheral distraction?

The USDOJ web site “makeover” was calculated to omit the most visual symbol of our national sovereignty, while ascribing to the adage of a socialist to a generic banner. It is one more step to unveiling of the globalist agenda and that branch of government’s acquiescence to international law. To consider it anything less is shamefully naive – or worse.
