A Political Star; America Meet Governor Jan Brewer Of Arizona

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer

There is a beautiful, blonde lady I want to write about here. Another hero of mine. A top of the list hero. Governor Jan Brewer. Yes, I can say that I am lucky enough to have met her. She has a 1000 watt smile, and sparkling, kind eyes. She has the aura of honesty and  old fashioned values. She has the feel of a woman that is truly a People’s person.

Her get back to basics beliefs sit perfectly with my own. Her open hearted welcome and kindness to those around her shows. Yes she is a star. Standing tall and brave for her state of Arizona, that has massive problems with illegals as well as a very hard hit job and housing market. The lady is real. The lady is approachable, huggable and a class act.

I have covered Governor Brewer on  the Bordering on Insanity thread as well as a bit on America Under Attack, and the Hero thread. This one is for Governor Jan Brewer alone.

A star, for a real star.

  1. I agree, Renee. She has a backbone of steel, too. Just like Sarah Palin. And she has a great way of cutting through the flak and getting to the core of any issue. For example, when she says, “Enforce the LAW, Mr. President.” That says it all, doesn’t it?

I LOVE Jan Brewer. I’d love to see this ticket in 2012: Palin/Brewer or Brewer/Palin. Take you pick. Either would work for me.

Have you noticed how many female PATRIOTS are standing up today? Mama Grizzlys. Every one. God bless them.

  2. A class act indeed. An enspiration for all women and a symbol of shame for most all men in government today , including ESPECIALLY this latest version of a CIC. Worse than a coward, he aids the invaders.
Gov Jan Brewer is the modern day version of Judge Deborah, the woman who stepped up to the plate to lead the ancient nation of Israel when not a single man could be found to fill that position. All the men were too afraid of the enemy. She, Deborah, not only lead, she attacked and defeated the enemies of Israel, just as Jan Brewer is leading the charge against the invaders from the south and the Middle East in protecting our borders. She , Jan Brewer, is the symbol of strength needed to hold this Republic together. Long after Deborah ruled over Israel the shamed and envious rabbis demoted her in status to “a tender of lamps”. Today, this shameful administration is trying to demote this **** Super Hero **** Jan Brewer ****, to a racist. Should she ever run for president, she has my vote, and McCain? he can be “the lamplighter”. On second thought I don’t think he could hold the light for Gov Brewer.

  3. Who in the U.N. exactly is going to get involved with enforcing the border laws in Arizona against Gov. Jan Brewer ? Who exactly there was appealed to ?

  4. Maybe a slight issue she may have to take care of for her situation. Found this exchange at DrKates. Is this correct ?

Jan Brewer violates the Constitution herself as on of Obama’s 10
    appointed FEMA regional governors!!!!

The Constitution is clear; a person cannot hold a state and federal office simultaneousl, and she IS being compensated for this position, which has an intrinsic conflict of interest.

Your gut is right, the fight may sound legit, full of righteous indignation, but if she’s going in to the ring to throw powder puffs she’s not going to win, and that seems to be the plan all along.

Don’t trust. Verify. You get what INSPECT not what you EXPECT. She’s not fighting the real issues, she knows it, we know it, and it’s all World Wrestling Federation B.S. controlled opposition.

    • hmmmmm — are we being played, again…

      • I do not know Ali, but she is the only one that is out there standing for the people so I sure hope no one is being played. She seems to be trying to do the right things, so I have to give her the benefit of the doubt. We have seen so many odd things that we are wary, and rightly so. She seems like an honest, hardworking politician to me so I am trusting her.

  5. And now she gets this ? Go Jan ! It is totally unbelievable no ? She wrote to
    Hillary Clinton.

    • In a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Brewer says it is “downright offensive” that a state law would be included in the report, which was drafted as part of a UN review of human rights in all member nations every four years.

“The idea of our own American government submitting the duly enacted laws of a state of the United States to ‘review’ by the United Nations is internationalism run amok and unconstitutional,” Brewer wrote.

The court it should be tried in as a criminal court. And it shouldn’t come from citizens begging a chance to be heard; it should come from law enforcement doing their jobs.

If that’s too much to ask, this country is hurting in ways that no law and no election will ever fix.

I think we need to stop accepting the politicization of law enforcement and of the courts. If government, media, and law enforcement are too afraid (or corrupt) to do their jobs then what we have is anarchy where outcomes are decided by the mob with the most raw power. Period. We are Anbar Province, 2006.

I think Arizona has been allowed a glimpse of what that means – looking across the border at beheadings, faces sewn onto soccer balls, and people leaving everything behind when the drug lord says they will die if they stay – and that has given them the courage to do what the whole nation needs to do. If we don’t confront those who break our laws we will be overtaken by them, and at that point what’s written in the laws makes absolutely no difference. A law that is unenforced doesn’t exist, in all practicality.

It’s time for law enforcement to take the laws seriously, while they still (hopefully) can.

I appreciate your wellwishes, Scott. I hope there is progress because if there isn’t it means that lawlessness carries the day once again.

  6. Bridgette, It seems that SEIU is leading the charge against Jan Brewer and Az. Let’s look at them again please Bridgetteb. You did work on them a while back. Need a refresher maybe here.

  8. Jan Brewer Shows She’s Got More Brass Than the SEIU & What’s-His-Name!

Arizona’s Jan Brewer’s not afraid to take on Obama or the Purple Hand at the SEIU.

    September 23rd

There are certain defining moments in some politicians’ careers that take them from the status of politician to a real leader. In Arizona, the fight over SB1070 is Governor Jan Brewer’s defining moment.

In the fight over SB1070, Jan Brewer has stood up to Barack Obama, his Washington (and Chicago) entourage, as well as the “hand inside Barack Obama’s puppet,” the Service Employees International Union. Her latest video is the most recent example of Jan Brewer’s ability to show the brass that most politicians won’t: See video

Meanwhile, Brewer’s opponent in the gubernatorial campaign, a nearly 30-year career politician named Terry Goddard, is apparently still searching for his defining moment—hoping the SEIU will somehow give it to him as it did a young community organizer from Illinois.

    • I just received a phone call from a person attending the AZ House Government Committee meeting tonight. They voted 5 to 1 on Senate Bill 1157 to move it out of committee to a full AZ House vote. The equivalent Senate Committee tomorrow morning will vote on a similar House initiated bill to get, if passed by that committee, a full Senate vote. Such a bill would protect Article II, Section 1 of our U.S. Constitution and the Citizens of Arizona from usurpation of that clause in our U.S. Constitution. Congress has failed to act on protecting the Presidential Eligibility clause in Article II, Section 1. So the states must do this to protect the Constitution and our Constitutional Republic. We are a nation of laws and the Constitution is the fundamental law of the land. We the People acting through our several states will not allow usurpation and ignoring of our constitution. If the requisite bill is passed by both chambers in AZ it would then move to the Governor for signing into law. More information will be forth coming and we will post it in the comments for this thread as we learn it.
