I will post this FRIGHTENING and UNBELIEVABLE news here! It should probably be posted on every thread just so no one misses a word of it !!! Remember a week or so ago, I posted about DHS losing weapons in bowling alleys, restaurants, etc.; NOW 1,000 computers in one year have been lost…but no worry; they only belonged to Immigrations & Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs & Border Protection (CBP). Two agencies within the Department of Homeland Security reportedly lost nearly 1,000 computers in fiscal year 2008, costing taxpayers approximately $13.3 million.
According to documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act by Todd Shepherd of the Independence Institute, inventories of lost, stolen and damaged equipment indicate that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) lost at least 985 computers combined.
CBP’s total inventory of lost and stolen equipment, or 1,975 pieces, totaled $7.5 million; ICE’s inventory, meanwhile, was 1,547 items, equating to a loss of $5.8 million.
“When I look at these inventories with my own eyes, page after page, I still think there’s a good chance that we’re dealing with some significant security breaches, and possibly insider theft,” said Jon Caldara, president of the Independence Institute. “You really have to look at these inventories, and go through them page after page to get an idea off how obnoxious these losses are.”
CBP reportedly insists that none of the lost computers contained sensitive or classified date. Other losses, according to the Independence Institute, include 235 night vision scopes by CBP officials and an “international harvester vehicle truck” — valued at $116,349 — on behalf of ICE officials.

I have been very sad lately at how cynical Americans have become; but feel that we have been so hurt and afraid of what has been happening that our fear makes us lash out at those who do not totally agree with us. We must stand behind Beck now more than ever. No one agrees all the time. Oh, I understand the frustration! I heard him on the radio and TV discounting “birthers” and I have heard him make other remarks that have not set well with me; most especially when he speaks of the elderly, the poor and the disabled who have not paid hundreds of thousands into Social Security and are barely getting by these days with their measely SS check such as myself! I felt like writing him myself and asking him did he have a problem with us older, poor, and disabled getting a little help; but just let it slide because I worked my butt off for 25 years and paid my way as long as possible.
I just know at this point, he speaks plainly and states his feelings so well that it gets the higher-ups pizzed off and lets those that want to transform our Nation know that he will go down fighting for our dear and precious America. (Those millionaires forget or never knew how hard life is…maybe a few of them will someday soon fall on those hard times!!

In yesterday’s paper in Eugene, OR, it said Craig Robinson has signed a new contract for 2 years with Oregon State University to coach basketball.
What a great country we live in.
Some have said that the stimulus hasn’t saved any jobs, but here is a case where at least one job was saved. According to an unnamed source, Oregon State University Athletic Director, Bob DeCarolis was considering firing their basketball coach, Craig Robinson, after an 8-11 start (2-5 in the Pac 10 conference).
When word of this reached Washington , Undersecretary of Education Martha Kanter was dispatched to Corvallis with $17 million in stimulus money for the university. The source now says that Craig Robinson’s job is safe for this year.
For the record, Coach Robinson just happens to be Michelle Obama’s Brother.
That’s it, going to by me a punching bag!! The anger gets harder to control daily!! I so hope when the republicans regain control of congress in Nov. they impeach this S.O.B.

ClientLogic has opened a contact center in Nederland, Texas, its second new domestic site this year.
The Nashville-based company now operates 24 business processes outsourcing facilities throughout the United States and 50 worldwide.
The Nederland site was acquired from staffing company Spherion Corp. (NYSE: SFN). ClientLogic will use the facility to provide customer care services to several clients, including telecommunications and consumer electronics companies.
ClientLogic, a subsidiary of Canadian conglomerate Onex Corp., is a provider of contact and fulfillment center services internationally.

Onex Corp. announced on Thursday morning that it is joining with GS Capital Partners, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs, to acquire Wichita-based Raytheon Aircraft Company for $3.3 billion. The deal will be completed by Hawker Beechcraft Corp., a newly formed joint venture between Onex and GS Capital Partners. The equity investment of approximately $1.06 billion will be split equally between Onex and GS Capital Partners, with Onex’s share of the investment to be made by Onex Partners, a large-cap private equity fund. The deal — expected to be completed by mid-2007, pending regulatory approvals — includes Raytheon Aircraft’s manufacturing plants in Wichita and Salina, Kan.; completion center in Little Rock, Ark., and all of the Raytheon Aircraft Services facilities. Not included in the sale is fractional provider Flight Options and Raytheon Airline Aviation Services. “We believe strongly in the future growth of the business aviation sector, as new demand in Europe and Asia adds to strength in North America,” said Onex Managing Director Nigel Wright. “The Hawker, King Air, and Beechcraft brands are recognized leaders in business aviation.” Hinting that the current management structure would stay in place at Raytheon Aircraft, Wright added, “We believe that the company’s management team, lead by its CEO Jim Schuster, can build on that strength and create additional value through operational improvements.”
