Who Are We Arming? And Why?

Two days ago, President Barack Hussein Obama II stood in front of the American people and said:

Of course, there is no question that Libya – and the world – will be better off with Gaddafi out of power. I, along with many other world leaders, have embraced that goal, and will actively pursue it through non-military means. But broadening our military mission to include regime change would be a mistake.

The task that I assigned our forces – to protect the Libyan people from immediate danger, and to establish a No Fly Zone – carries with it a UN mandate and international support. It is also what the Libyan opposition asked us to do.  If we tried to overthrow Gaddafi by force, our coalition would splinter. We would likely have to put U.S. troops on the ground, or risk killing many civilians from the air. The dangers faced by our men and women in uniform would be far greater. So would the costs, and our share of the responsibility for what comes next.

Less than 24 hours later, Obama’s UN ambassador, Susan Rice, “left the door open to tactics like arming the rebel fighters.”

Obama: I Am Opposed to a Dumb War

Yesterday, I ran across a speech that Barack Obama made to an anti-war rally in Chicago on October 2, 2002.  Here is the speech in its entirety for the purpose of comparison to what he will say tonight, as a public service, when he tries to explain to the American people why he went to war in Libya (with my emphasis and some comments added):

Good afternoon. Let me begin by saying that although this has been billed as an anti-war rally, I stand before you as someone who is not opposed to war in all circumstances.

The Civil War was one of the bloodiest in history, and yet it was only through the crucible of the sword, the sacrifice of multitudes, that we could begin to perfect this union, and drive the scourge of slavery from our soil. I don’t oppose all wars. Continue reading

Another Ann Dunham? Open Thread

by Miri

Another Ann Dunham, this one involved in anti-war activities during the Vietnam war as one of the Camden 28.  This image comes from a story in the Long Beach, CA, Independent, August 23, 1971.  (There’s another image of her on the Camden 28 link.)  This particular Ann Dunham is seen third from left, at the top of the photo, wearing hand cuffs. Isn’t it interesting that this group of individuals broke into the Selective Service records in Camden, New Jersey?  This Ann Dunham was 23 in 1971 and came from Pelham, New York, according to the story.    Continue reading

The Egypt Crisis in a Global Context: A Special Report

It is not at all clear what will happen in the Egyptian revolution. It is not a surprise that this is happening. Mohamed Hosni Mubarak has been president for more than a quarter of a century, ever since the assassination of Anwar Sadat. He is old and has been ill. No one expected him to live much longer, and his apparent plan, which was that he would be replaced by his son Gamal, was not going to happen even though it was a possibility a year ago. There was no one, save his closest business associates, who wanted to see Mubarak’s succession plans happen. As his father weakened, Gamal’s succession became even less likely. Mubarak’s failure to design a credible succession plan guaranteed instability on his death. Since everyone knew that there would be instability on his death, there were obviously those who saw little advantage to acting before he died. Who these people were and what they wanted is the issue.

What Exactly Is “Moral Imagination”?

By Miri

We’re all by now too familiar with the wonderful speech that Barry gave at the Tucson 2012 Campaign Rally Memorial Service at a stadium at the University of Arizona, complete with the Jumbotron flashing “applause signs“, bizarre “memorial t-shirts” sporting a campaign motto, “Together We Thrive”, which was previously on an Obama website, circa 2008, and also on ”anti-racism” t-shirts for sale at this siteContinue reading

Napolitano Will Close The Porous Border (Open Thread)

by Miri

It will come as quite a surprise to readers that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is sending more “experts to train … police and customs officials to better manage the country’s porous border crossings …” because such training is “critical.”  Has Ms. Napolitano suddenly seen the error of this administration’s approach to managing the US/Mexico border?  Has she suddenly realized how “critical” the situation is?  How important it is for our national security to close our porous border?  Au contraire, Mon Ami! Muslim Goals to Infiltrate and Destroy the U.S.

©2010 Bridgette WTPOTUS

” The Muslim Brotherhood’s Goals “

Much like the “Communist Goals for U.S.A. Takeover” that were written  January 10, 1963,  the Muslim Brotherhood also developed their own strategic goals or Master Plan in 1991 for their cultural invasion of the United States and their intention to turn the U.S.  into a Muslim nation.

After  reading the Communist Goals and then these developed by the Muslim Brotherhood, we notice their many similarities.    The reason for that is explained in the 17th Muslim Project tactic,  “Instituting alliances with Western “progressive” organizations that share similar goals.” The Progressive’s support of the Muslims fits right into this sequence, as does their support of Palestine’s Hamas regime over Israel’s democratic nation.

Bombshell!!! Barack Hussein Soetoro Obama: Secret Agent Man Double Cipher Zero

By Miri

Recently, we discussed this story: “Bombshell: Barack Obama conclusively outed as a CIA creation.”

http://www.prisonplanet.com/bombshell-barack-obama-conclusively-outed-as-cia-creation.html

Alex Jones interviewed Wayne Madsen, who wrote a series of articles wherein he claims to have ”outed” Obama as a CIA operative, seemingly to explain Obama’s puzzling lack of a verifiable identity, his mythological biography, and his refusal to provide the sort of documents that every American must cough up on a regular basis–items such as a birth certificate, elementary school records, college transcripts, a resume, personal references.  We the People, Obama’s employers, have requested all these and more from this “most transparent” POTUS in history.  So far, zilch.*

Mr. Madsen’s “conclusive” evidence leaves much to be desired.  His “facts” are anything but.  See this link to read some of our analysis of Madsen’s theory:

Michelle Obama’s trip to Spain was not “Tone Deaf”, it was Pitch-Perfect…

Michelle Obama’s trip to Spain was not “Tone Deaf”, it was Pitch-Perfect… to the Cordoba Initiative.

Many in the media are calling Michelle Obama’s trip to Spain “Tone Deaf”, but consider how Michelle was Pitch-Perfect when it comes to her intended audience, and meeting the following two objectives:

1) A distraction from Barack’s trip to Chicago.

2) An endorsement of the Cordoba Initiative.

We may not like either one of those objectives, but she accomplished them.

Michelle Obama’s trip to Spain was not “Tone Deaf”, it was Pitch-Perfect…

…to Marxists and Islamists…

Security of U.S. Passports Called Into Question

Why Are Key Passport Components Outsourced To a Country In Turmoil?

By Matthew Mosk, Matthew Cole, Brian Ross and John Solomon
Center For Public Integrity and ABC News

Posted By Newssleuth

The U.S. government agency that prints passports has for years failed toresolve persistent concerns about the security risks involved in outsourcing
production to foreign factories, a joint investigation by ABC News and the
Center for Public Integrity <http://www.publicin tegrity.org/> has found.

“On a number of levels this is extremely troubling,” said Clark Kent Ervin,
a former inspector general at the Department of Homeland Security.
“Something like that ought to be produced only in the United States, under
only the most rigorous security standards.” A report on the outsourcing of
U.S. passports to high-risk countries was seen on World News with Diane
Sawyer.
